Super solid thrift store. They had a really good selection of clothes, and a lot of it was from well known brands in great condition. I saw pieces from J.Crew, Skims, Madewell. Some still had tags on them. The prices were fair. Staff was friendly and constantly restocking shelves while I browsed. Definitely a spot I'd visit again. read more

I went to buy a picture it had no price tag on it I asked one of the staff how much took it out of my hands said she couldn't sell it to me because didn't have a price tag is it just me or is that not there problem that they didn't tag an item I am the customer wanting to purchase an item and spend money in a thrift store that gets items donated for free. The manager and staff were rude not very charitable for an organization that runs faith based will never shop in this store again would rather give my money to an organizaton old saying goes practice what you preach. read more

Over priced, same old junk... garage sale leftover items that were one & two dollars a year ago are double plus now. We walk in & walk out mostly looking for that diamond in the rough. This shop has a really nice boutique for fancier donated clothing as well as a larger assortment of everything you could want for yourself and your home. Similar items like a Marshalls store. I enjoy shopping there and find all kinds of goodies all the time. The items are low cost and money goes to various worthy causes for the community. Greetings The Hand Me Up Shop, as someone who enjoys doing "spring cleaning" all year 'round I appreciate having your store in our community. My kids and I live in a small home where we do not have a lot of storage space, so holding onto items for nostalgic purposes just is not feasible. We do not have a junk drawer, nor do we have a lot of space in the laundry room or the garage. The attic space is small and holds our holiday decorations and not much else fits in there. We clean out our closets often as kids grow out of clothes and shoes and change their style a little to fast for my wallet to keep up. I enjoy changing up the decor in the house and rather than hold onto items, I bag them up and take them to your store. For spring break we took 11 paper grocery bags to your store to donate full of clothing, shoes, kitchen and housewares. It's only March, so who knows how many more bags we will bring to you the remainder of the year. I'm happy to donate to a place that already has great reviews about your low prices. I think this is a great place for parents who are budget-conscience to have an affordable place to purchase necessities for their children. It is even a great option for anyone who is starting out on their own, on a tight budget, and it's also a great option for the bargain hunter and treasure hunter, too. Your staff is friendly and always helpful each time we have visited the store and its nice to see, based on other reviews, that so many other people feel the same way and enjoy their experience shopping in your store. You seem to have many repeat customers and that speaks to the selection and value of your store. After looking at your website it makes this an even better choice to donate and shop at your store since you are so involved in assisting the community between child care assistance, school supplies, senior assistance, meals, and food pantries. All the churches involved with Interfaith have a far reach with the community and your store is a helpful resource for all of them. I read some really great things about this shop, including a Google review saying they found multiple pairs of shoes there for $2 each (one of which was a pair of Kate Spade pumps). That must have either been an accident, or the shop caught on that they could make more money than that, because today I saw a pair of Kate Spade shoes for sale for $65. $65 for a pair of shoes at a resale shop. I mean, they were definitely in used condition, so I'm really not sure why they would charge so much. In the front of the store, I didn't find one pair of shoes under $20. The clothing was more reasonably priced around $5.99 or $6.99 per item. On the positive side, the clothes and shelves were all organized really nicely and you can tell they take pride in the cleanliness and appearance of their shop. read more

Open at the new location for about a month, this community-based resale shop has everything for everyone and your home! A mix of old and new, some slightly used, but I like that they let you know where on the item needs improvement! You can also make donations! You will find what you like there for sure! Prices are very reasonable; however please be aware of the terms of the rewards program they offer. I've shopped her for at least two years and have brought many customers to this store as well as donated. I've had a bad experience with someone that identified herself as one of the managers. When I explained I was never told that I had reached my goal of receiving a $25 reward, she was incredible rude and said it was "the customers responsibility" and if I didn't realize I only had 60 days to use it than that's not her problem. As a Christian/Faith based operation, I was very disappointed. The point of this reward program is to encourage people to spend more not to trick them. I was never told the total of how many points I had was on the receipt and I only had to so much time to use it. It would have expired in December of 2020. I shopped in the store many times in November and December and at no time did any of the cashiers tell me I had $25 dollars of rewards to spend. The manager looked in the computer and confirmed that yes, I had made several purchases in those months but again said that's not her responsibility to tell me. I call this very dishonest. Ok so today we had some little friends over for the weekend. We decided to go thrift shopping in my area. We live spring and heard alot about this place for the locals in old Town spring. This was a cool place , and it had a different feel to it. We normally go to goodwill or salvation army a d the local shop in the heights. It's a bit cheaper than the local Goodwills, very clean, and well organized. It is definitely my favorite local thrift shop, and the money you spend goes to charity so it's a win win. They also have a point system for every $275 you get a $25 store credit. The points add up from every purchase and don't expire; if you thrift a lot, that's an added bonus. read more

It is a pandemic, there is clearly a sign outside saying masks are required, yet employees let many people walk around and shop without a face covering. Every time I go to this location I see this happening and the employees see it too as the customers go and check out with them WITHOUT a mask on and they don't say anything to them. How inconsiderate how ignorant how irresponsible and how disheartening, this is why covid 19 doesn't slow down In Texas because of places like this. It makes me and my friends and family extremely uncomfortable to be in here shopping seeing this. Will not be visiting here again read more

Okay...I am a thrift store snob of epic proportions. If you put on any airs, you'd better deliver and boy does The Hand Me Up Shop deliver! First off it's a gorgeous store - clean, well lit, very roomy, super well organized, good signage. The merch has been well-curated. No stained clothes or chipped dishes here. The really upscale pieces are in the boutique area but the glass walls make it visually and otherwise accessible. You don't feel as though you're trespassing just because you want to see those Italeau flats. The prices were what surprised me the most. I seldom see dishes for 50 cents any more and there was quite a selection. I got a terrific pair of Mootsies Tootsies for $6.00, and a fabulous fall jacket for $6.99. I even got a boutique top for $12. Throw in three more tops, a couple of plates, and a trashy novel and the whole thing came to $45. I particularly liked that clothing types were one price - all short sleeve tops are one price, all capris are one price, all jeans are one price. I'll confess...it bugs the heck out of me to see a nice top somewhere for one price and the scuzzy top hanging next to it for a dollar more. I'm like, what monkey with a dart board priced these items? This shop takes all the crazy making right off the shelf. And speaking of shelves, they're so darn organized that even the books were pretty close to alpha order! Can't say I've ever seen that before. My only gripe is I don't live in Spring so won't be visiting as often as I'd like. PLEASE HMU...don't lower your standards! read more

It is NOT your Goodwill. Hand Me Up Shop has hi-end designer clothes and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G like-new (looks 100% new) leather sofas (1k+) Some really expensive quality furniture. Including some pieces for $4K (I cannot even imagine original price). Very friendly stuff. A little bit of everything. Great blankets, china, decor. Check the store! This review speaks to the women's clothing only. Small but well organized. The women's clothing inventory was diverse and the clothes all in good shape. I didn't walk out with any single fantastic piece, but I did leave with a large bag full of brand name as-good-as-new fall staples (some in cashmere or silk) for my closet for less than $100.
