Once Upon a Child is one of my favorite stores and I really enjoy this location because they have a good selection of shoes, boy clothes and coats. Toys and accessories not so much. Customer service is ALWAYS lacking. Employees don't greet you, help you or acknowledge you unless they need to get past you. And I've never sold here but from the sounds of people at the counter they never get much money in return so I would recommend only buying at this location. read more

Horrible horrible horrible! Took FOREVER to sort through my items to be sold. They couldn't give me an estimate on wait time. Waited nearly 45 min! The restroom was the only available "fitting room" which smelled of urine!! Disgusting! It's not worth the time and screaming kids running around. I'll just keep donating my kids clothes. read more

Coming in the place smells a little funny. Just smells like clothes that been sitting in a drawer for a long while. But other than that, they got a lot of good selection for cheap for kids and baby clothing. Definitely worth the price, when all you gotta do is go home and wash! read more

I'm giving 4 stars because although I fond stuff here and there I must admit that a lot of stuff here is just ehhh and some is overpriced. I do however appreciate that they post some things on their Instagram because I have called and was able to hold things for about an hour. No problem because that's all I need! The problem I think is that things just arnt my style but I have found a Patagonia best here at a good price. And also found some H&M and some boutique clothes. Most people buy and sell carters in this area that's for sure. A lot of the toys are plastic and I just don't buy those. It's still worth it for you to come in or follow their ig if you are looking for something. I never had a problem with employees here. I've never sold here but I've seen the process. I went to once upon a child the Willowbrook location. I have never had a bad experience until the other day. The so called "assistant manager" was so rude. When I asked her if she was still buying clothes she said no and gave me such an ugly look. Like ma'am I'm a struggling parent who works two jobs I don't need you're attitude. online the time said 7 they were done. So who's really lying here the website or the assistant manager? Like I get it's late but if you don't like you're job then quit lady. Then she was cussing up a storm with her co-worker. ( I don't know her name only that she was black) Like ma'am this is a place where kids come. Please watch you're mouth. Kids pick up on everything. & for you to work at a children's clothing store and you to cuss like a sailor that's not right nor should you... or anyone for that matter! I was so angry once I left this location I will not be returning. And if you are reading this at least be aware that this lady is rude and mean and she doesn't care who you are black white blue purple she is just plain out mean. Against my better judgement, I went back to try and sell them baby items instead of clothes. After one hour, Evelyn rudely called me to tell me to put together the bouncer because apparently working at a baby store doesn't qualify you to put it together. They offered me $23 for the bouncer, a Boppy pillow, brand new Mobi wrap and Fisher Price Sit Me Up Chair. Evelyn also was unable to find the tray stuck to the back of the Bumbo so they rejected that. To top it off, they made a big deal when I wouldn't accept their low ball offer They are the worst! read more

The staff was absolutely rude!! It was my first time bringing in clothes and no one offered to help even though the girls were all standing right in front of me. Once I finally got help, I asked how long it would take and the young lady said 30-45 minutes and that she would call me. I stepped out to Target next door and never got a called. I went back and another lady explained that they don't call and you have to stay in the store which was never explained to me. They also "accidentally" gave my clothes to another customer. read more

Wait time is horrible. The staff told me to wait 20 minutes and they would call my name. 40 minutes later I asked about my stuff and it had been ready a while ago. This store only takes half of what you bring in. They are very picky on items being brought in. Looked around store in the Halloween costume section, and noticed most costumes were ripped or stained. Worst place ever if you are trying to sell used infant or children's things. When you bring something in, they always have an excuse for not taking something. We recently took in a gently used high chair, they told us that if we cleaned it better and brought it back they would take it. Liars!! We did exactly what they asked and they said that it had a stain and their high chairs weren't selling so they wouldn't take it. I do not recommend once upon a child to anyone!! read more

I give them 1 stars because 0 is not an option and I have taken much stuff there and get barely anything in return even when they are brand new and still in the box. I came here thinking I was going to get a good experience. Boy was I wrong the staff are so so rude the clothes are overpriced you can see it for yourself. I was looking thru the racks of clothing and I saw new tags and they had the department store price at 8.00 and they had it marked for 9.00. When i asked the girl about it she said well thats the price take it or leave it. I thought your supposed to save by coming here. My friend brought her clothes to sell most of them where new and brand name clothing they took only the ones with tags and it was about 20 outfits and 10 single pieces and they wanted to give her $24.65 for all of them. They should offer more if you want store credit. This place is a rip off. They wont work with you on the prices to make a sell or to buy . Sell your clothes on ebay or craigslist and go to Ross or buy from Craigslist it is much better. read more

First time visit = last time visit. I am a huge fan of thrift & resale shops but I've never felt so uncomfortable inside a store. All of the employees are rude. I came in hoping to trade in my NB clothes for some 3-6 month clothes. They told me that they couldn't take most of my stuff before even looking at it first. Most of the things I had were brand spanking new!! Tags and all!! My son just grew out of NB way too fast and some of the things I had were jackets that he never wore (due to the mild winter) I asked politely if they'd at least look and with a little persistence they did. Turned out they didn't want to take everything, which was completely fine with me - but when I asked about donating them - the lady said, "well, you can put the clothes outside by the trashcan"!!! Are you kidding me!? A lot of money went into purchasing the clothes I had and most were BRAND NEW... did she really think I was going to throw them away?? I want them to go to someone who needs them, not the dump! Holy crap! I'm rambling now but that store really needs reconsider their staff!! read more

I give once upon a child no stars. My first visit I tried to sell them my gently used in great condition girl items. They didn't appreciate my things. The items were my first kids things, I was emotionally attached. My second visit thought maybe I could swap my girl stuff for boy stuff. That didn't work out. My third visit was the worst confirmed all my thoughts from the previous visits. They are pathetic. I saved the boxes of the items I wanted to sell. Wheels were clean. The stuff was in better than new condition. Their offer sucked but I sold to them. While I waited for 45 minutes, Every time I walked by the counter the staff was talking amongst themselves. . They gossiped about every customer, that were there to sell. It was old to sit back and watch after my previous business. Great place to buy, selling to them not so good. After my last visit decided no more ever. Had a garage sale with everything they had no interest in. Made 225.00 read more

I've been going here for years. I love it and I think they offer fair prices for both their purchasing as well as resale. Sorry the other lady had issues with this store. I would not recommend trying to sell any items of your children's where their is excessive sentimental value. No one will be able to offer the same value as the parents when it comes to things like that. They resale at half of retail and then offer the seller half of that....which is more than I'd get if I donated to Goodwill and I can use it for swapping out clothes as well. read more

I bought approximately$120 worth of clothes for my niece and three small nephews, and it was so worth it. I do think that some of the clothes should be marked down a little bit more, but I saw Ralph Lauren polo shirts for$8.00. Since I was shopping for 4 toddlers, I only bought clothes$5.50 to $2.50. I REALLY wanted to be a cheerleader for this store, but I experience just really left a sour note. I went into the store maybe 30 minutes after they opened to sell them some toys that were barely, I mean barely played with. They were for all purposes...NEW. I waited about 40 minutes for them to sort my stuff to make an offer. They took a Vtech walker, a Boppy pillow with cover, a Vtech spinning top toy & several other items and offered me $12!! I talked to them about the remaining items & got them to take like 4 more items & left with a whopping $22 & some change. I was so insulted! I expected at least $35 for my items that were barely used. So my honest advice to people if you really need to declutter is to DONATE your items. I could of taken my items to Goodwill it the Salvation Army & waited for them to write me a ticket for my donations. I would of helped people to get a good value & create jobs. I also would have gotten more credit on my taxes for donations versus what they gave me. It's very sad. And all the while the owner talks about she has a 2 story facility full of stuff. Well anyone that has spent any time in sales or retail knows you don't want that much product just sitting. So, given that you give people pennies for the value of their items, I would lower your prices & get that merchandise rotated out. And maybe if you'd be fair to those bringing in products to sell, you wouldn't get such bad reviews. read more

The employees here are just rude ! I've went 2 times recently and the first time I was told they weren't buying anything that day. So I tried back a few weeks later. Brought a whole tote of practically new items in and they tried to offer me $3. They were only buying things that were sets so they had only chosen 4 items out of the 50 plus pieces. If you are only buying sets, then you need to list that on your website so people don't waste their time ! And there's no need to have a smug ass look on your face while your telling your customers that. I feel like I was being discriminated against ! Will never waste my time again. Very rude employees. Store looks nice since getting new flooring but is still very dirty. Bathroom also stinks. Noone wears a name tag so you dont know who anyone is but you can tell the girls that are going through the clothing and buying them are NOT happy with their jobs. They talk to eachother alot while working but are rude to the customers. I used to like to shop here for the decent deals but the staff is very unhelpful and seem unhappy. The clothing has also seemed to get more used looking and isnt as nice as it once was. The other location on 529 is much better so I wont sell or shop to this one anymore. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have been to this store a number of times and everytime they are rude, disrespectful and at time nasty. I have taken clothes that where never worn folded and in order and when I got them back throwin back in the bag and parts of sets gone and I was never paid for them. Another thing they sold me an item on a recall for mold and the manager said they new about it and the item didnt have mold. FIRST OFF YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY AN ITEM WITH A SAFETY RECALL LIKE THAT. MY SON COULD HAVE BEEN IN DANGER BECAUSE THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE A BUCK. WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME BEFORE THEY SOLD IT. I just called about it because a friend brought it to my attention and the manager acted like it was my problem they sold it to me. If you are buying, the prices are excellent! I shop here a lot for my kids. Lots and lots of clothing and they are constantly getting new merchandise in, so you can literally go every week to find new items. Overall, they are fairly organized. The only area that is not are there shoe bins. You won't get a lot of money if you sell, as they literally start prices from $1.50 when they sell items. But if you were planning on donating them to Goodwill, a little money is better than none. read more

If I could give it no stars, I would. Do not sell your stuff to them, they will rip you off. You can make more selling it online or in a garage sale. I took a huge box of my daughter's clothes and shoes there including a pair of Sperry's shoes that she wore only once so it was in mint condition along with brand new dresses that still had tags on them because she outgrew them before she got around to wearing them. They took all 6 pairs of shoes in mint condition, over a dozen dresses and a box full of jeans and other clothing items and only gave me $49 dollars for everything. When I asked them for an itemized list of what they took from me along with what their computer system valued them at, they refused. There was a another lady there selling her stuff at the same time and when they took all her stuff and only offerred $32 dollars, she laughed in their face and took everything back.
