We went here a few months ago to celebrate my boys' birthday and this place was so neat! I didn't know what to expect because I've never heard of this place. However, we were gifted a Groupon so that's how we knew about OUAC. When we went it was a cloudy and rainy day so it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. Second visit was even better than the first! We asked the kids when we were leaving what their favorite part was and neither could come up with just one. As for us grandmas, our favorite part was watching the kids have such a great time and being able to let them free to be kids. Why 4 stars? Because my son enjoyed himself and that's what's most important. --- --- --- We took a family trip to Orlando to go to Disney and Universal Studios a few months earlier, and when I brought up to my wife that we should go check out Once Upon A Cowboy, her thought was, "he is just gonna be like... "uhh I've been to Disney, what is... *this*" But as it turns out, 7 year olds aren't necessarily as cynical was 40-somethings and he had a really great time here. I wasn't really sure what to expect, so for those curious, here's what you can expect if you follow our plan to pretty much just try and check out everything they have to offer: -Take pictures with a bunch of animatronic dinosaurs -Ride mechanical dinosaurs (think mechanical bull for kids) -Ride electronic dinosaurs that drive around like slow go-karts -5 minute train ride around the park (better for littles) -Play in 2 bounce houses -Visit a room basically made out of dry erase boards with 1,000 dry erase markers and go crazy. -Look for dinosaur bones in a sandbox -Watch a 10-ish minute show (it's pretty low budget, but littles will enjoy) -Play a shooting game on a big projection screen. -Axe throwing (not working right when we visited) -A virtual reality ride that's a bit outdated, but probably cool for kids. -Play in another sandbox with cool overhead lighting to make it look like a mountain -There was another game on a projection screen that was supposed to be triggered by your movement, but it was also not working right. -Indoor playground There was also another activity that required additional money that we did not participate in. Went here on a whim due to a Groupon ad and discounted tickets and my kids were bored so we wanted to try something new instead of the typical arcade or bowling alley. We actually had a blast here even though we weren't able to ride the train since it was close to closing time when we went around the whole park area and ended at the show. Kids especially loved the sand room, arcade area with the virtual reality ride and the playroom with ball blasters. They also loved getting dressed up as cowboys and getting a cowboy hat and bandana. It's a nice tucked away large playground for kids. Recommend for ages 4-10. My pre-teen now wouldn't have such a fun time there and definitely eat before you come here or eat after. read more

Such a cool experience, but if you want to enjoy the escape room you have to come on the weekends. The Associates are friendly and upbeat. The interior areas are so well tempered. So much hands on adventures. This place is a blast. We ate the nachos and hotdogs with chili and cheese. They were made to order and Michael brought them to our table. Nice touch. We heard about this place a while ago and finally checked it out. It was a perfect way for us to celebrate our dinosaur obsessed son's birthday. We got the upgraded package for his admission so it would include everything. It was worth it imo so we don't have to pay extra when we arrive. If you just pay for the basic admission then you have to pay additional fees for a lot of the attractions. They have a good mix of everything from dinosaur scooters, train ride, VR, games, bounce house, a show with a dinosaur meet and greet, indoor play areas and more. We spent hours there. Our son had so much fun. Even on a hot Texas day, it was still a great experience because not everything is outdoors. The indoor activities have fans and AC. It's not a super fancy place. Don't expect something like Disneyland. It's a simple place but still a lot of stuff to do and it's well kept. All the staff are very friendly. Everyone we encountered from check in to ride and game operations to the show were all so kind. Something to note - I think this place is ideal for kids up to around 10 years old max. I wouldn't recommend it for older kids because I think they'd get bored kinda fast because a lot of the stuff is more appealing for younger kids. There are still some 'big kid' activities but I don't think it's enough. We have an almost 4 year old so it was perfect. And the other kids I saw were all definitely younger than 10. We had a great experience. I definitely recommend it for young kids who love cowboys or dinosaurs or both. It's a great place to check out. read more

Everybody seemed to have a Groupon except for me. I used a 10% off coupon from Bucker List. This was such a nice surprise of a place. I brought my almost three year old and he had the best time. They had these little cabins all around that had different activities as well as shows and even a big play room with levels and balls and slides that he could run around. We came to this park today and were really pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting this at all. It was a great time for the kids. There's a bunch of stations and they're AC'd. The facilities seems all new and well maintained. I really liked that there was something for both of my kids (I have a baby less than one year old and a 2+ year old). At one point we had the 2 year old with mom digging through sands (indoors!) while I was taking care of baby in an area for babies also indoor- both enjoying the AC and the kids having a blast. My son loved riding the train and looking at the dinosaurs. The facilities were so also very clean. You can tell the owners really put their heart into this. My family and I visited Once Upon a Cowboy during our vacation in Texas. Our daughter can't stop talking about how it was the highlight of her trip. I really wish there was a location closer to our home (Las Vegas) as we would be there often. There is something for everyone (young and old). I was impressed at how clean and nicely maintained the facility was. Loved that there was a place on sight to purchase food and snacks. The staff were super kind and had great customer service. We also got glitter tattoos in the barber shop ($4 each) that I didn't think would last long but almost got 4 days from it, so it definitely was worth the price. When in TX again, we look forward to visiting again and can't wait to try out the escape rooms. read more

Definitely recommend this place ! My kids had so much fun, there's so much to do. They were able to enjoy each activity without rushing ! They found fossils, rode the train, saw so many dinosaurs, played in the indoor playground, they even had a seperate indoor play area for toddlers. We did the Golddigger Enterprises Escape Room, VR Ride, axe throwing, and many more of the fun activities the park offers. I also cannot give enough praise to the staff. WARNING: Do NOT come here. It is nowhere near as nice as they make it look. There is barely anything to do. My children were bored of this place in no longer than an hour. For starters, the staff, particularly the manager, are very rude and made us feel unwelcome. The manager clearly didn't want to be there and seemed to be in a mood with her employees. Getting into the place alone took us over an hour, even though there was barely a line. All the "activities" are dull, and some don't even work. The toy axe throwing? Doesn't work. Escape room? Doesn't work. Laser Tag? Doesnt work. They made me pay 5$ for 5 minutes on dinosaur scooters that were so slow my kids wanted to get off as soon as they started. Please don't waste your money here, it is FAR too expensive and not at all worth your money. Me and my husband spent over 120$ for general admission just for many of the attractions to not even work. My eight year old son was crying by the end asking why we had to leave his birthday party early. The whole place was unkempt and dirty too, as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The only highlights were the free Dino Train ride and the Saloon show. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend anyone to come here, as the area has countless better things to offer and more entertaining places for your kiddo. read more
