Boarded my Golden Retriever at this facility that he loves including the employees, but somehow they ignored something that could have been avoided. Upon my arrival I was notified about "scabs" on my dogs ear & stomach area. The employee who bought my dog out was unaware of this situation, but, was able to find a scab around his ear area & none on his tummy. Later in the day, he had this unusual odor that wasn't from playing with other dogs. Upon doing a full examination on him, I discovered multiple fresh & old scab wounds on both ear areas, & also discovered a hotspot that has been there for-- i don't know how long. I further did my examination and notice an another hotspot on his neck area. After speaking with the owner of the facility, he told me that the groomer did notice both hotspots, but, from her perspective "it wasn't that bad nor smell". If you see closely in the images you can see this didn't happen overnight; & unfortunately, the groomer proceed to bathe my dog without contacting me first to aware me of the situation. With her proceeding with the bathe it probably made both hotspot area worse if she didn't use the proper shampoo, & conditioner. The owner of the facility proceeded to tell me it's because the groomer notice that area was "matted". As a dog owner, & someone that checks their dog before dropping him off for boarding or daycare to avoid situations like this. I told him, there was no way in hell he was matted when I dropped him. it had to be after he was playing with the water or hose, & your employees failed to dry him off proper causing a hotspot to build up. As the owner of the facility agree to disagree with me, apologize about the situation, & will note it for next time. But he believed his employees did "everything" they can in this situation. After paying a large amount for my dog to be boarded just for him to be neglected, & having to be pay for medications because the place fail to take care of my dog. They don't care about your animals. only the money. the fact that the groomer still processed with the bath that shouldn't been- says about the people that works here and the company itself. just watch out for your animal well being!

From the outside, it looked like the shop was mainly geared towards dogs, but we wanted to see if there was anything for cats. We were in luck! When we entered the pet store, a woman at the counter by the window welcomed us and asked if we needed any help. We replied saying it was our first time in the shop and that we have a cat. She was quick to show us where we could find feline inventory, so we could look around. She also took the time to introduce us to raw and freeze-dried pet food options. Outside of freshpet, we didn't have much exposure or knowledge of these alternatives. She was very knowledgeable and also gave us CARNA4 samples of synthetic-free cat food, which our furbaby loved btw. In addition to pet food and treats, the shop has grooming supplies, pet beds, and also a self-wash facility and grooming services. This location is one of six Well Bred stores in North Jersey (the other locations are in Bernardsville, Chatham, Chester, Clinton, and Madison).

I went to this vet out of sheer convenience from where I live. the office had closed previously for…read moreawhile after a flood and had re-opened under new ownership which I was not aware of until I brought my dog in for a routine well visit. I was charged over $760 for my appt. my routine well visits at my prior vet usually run about less than half of this exorbitant charge. When I looked at the charges I noticed I was billed for tests I did not ask for, and were not part of a wellness checkup such as an eye tear test that was close to $100. as part of a senior wellness check, which my dog has never had, came with a full blood work up. from the results of the test the vet called me and gave me a laundry list of possible illnesses my dog may have and that more testing would need to be done. by the way, my dog has no symptoms of anything even mentioned. when I went back to ask why tests were done that were all additional charges without asking first, I was told that I was given a written estimate at the time of my visit. not only is this false information, but if I was given an estimate for over $700 for a routine well visit and vaccinations, I would have left this appt and retuned to my original vet which I have done since this visit. I would steer clear!

I waited until 10:30 and called to see if she was ready there was no answer so I walked back to pick her up. I was told by same young man that it would be an additional 25 minutes since she was not ready yet. I explained it takes me 15 minutes to walk here and I would wait. I asked how far along she was thinking if she was wet or needed to be brushed I could do that at home. At that point I I found out she was in cage the entire two hours and not even started. He stated they were backed up but they were working on a dog in back to add insult to injury the person who came in behind me initially was picking up her dog. No excuse could be given to me why my dog was still in the cage not started since I purposely made her the first appointment of the day. I took my dog home without being groomed.I have used them previously feel this never should have happened they never even apologized just said have a nice day as I walked out what an insult. Would give them a zero.

I picked up a few Weruva gravies and wet treats for my cat. I found out that the grooming services are mainly for dogs, but that CB Pet Market does do nail clippings for other animals like cats, hamsters, etc. for $20. The shop does have good prices for some products that are less than Chewy, and some harder to find products not at Petco or stores like that.
