Bev cart served a perfectly made Blood Mary while I was out there. The course itself was very well maintained. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in perfect condition. We asked to play a specific 9 holes and were easily accommodated which was much appreciated although after only a few holes we'd quickly wished we signed up for all 27! The entire grounds and houses were so beautiful; there's so much landscape, bunkers and water it made playing each hole challenging, yet fun. I really can't say enough great things, this was our favorite course of the three we played while in town. Will be back in the fall when the staff said it's prime golfing!

To get to the restaurant you enter the main building and go right past their pro shop which leads to the restaurant down the hallway. They have a bar along with table and chair seating. You can only order at the bar and then there is no service at the tables. The menu was VERY concise with far fewer items than I expected. I decided to order the burger and it was a rather sad example of a burger and just really wasn't that pleasurable to eat. Overall I don't think I would want to eat here again.

The air conditioned beverage cart we saw this year was impressive. Conditions were very good with consistent greens which is always a plus. My only complaint is the cost but to be fair, all the greens fees in this area (multiple courses) have increased 10-20% from last year based on my recollection.

Today's experience was…read morejust almost as perfect but it's the first of July and 100% humidity so the weather was a huge factor. With an early morning rain, today was cart path only and the fairways were spongy and still full but everywhere you look, it's lush and green. The Marshall was just as friendly as Tuesday, the cart girl had cups of ice and another employee had cold towels. Couldn't ask for nicer people or a greener, well maintained course.

Having a visual would be good to have. Not a lot of yardage markers on the course, no gps monitor in the cart. For the price, gps should be available. Rental clubs were high, $60. I've played better courses and only paid $15 for club rental. The problem for me is that Callaway is the course sponsor. That is a good thing, they were Callaway clubs. The problem comes in when the clubs you rented for $60 are dated and extremely dirty. Tough to play with dirt caked in the clubs. I was able to wet a rag in a pond to clean the dirt off. If their sponsor, Callaway, saw the condition the rental clubs were kept in, they would be furious. A nice place, I'm 50/50 on returning.

At $150 for 18 holes for two players, the price suggested a level of quality that simply was not delivered. The course itself shows clear potential in its layout and design. However, the overall upkeep and management detract significantly from that promise. Course conditions were inconsistent, with the greens and sand traps in particular needing considerable improvement. For both locals and visitors, just about any other course would be a better option that would offer stronger value and a more satisfying experience.

He misrepresented the place on the phone a bit. The course we intended to play was closed today and we bailed on our tee time on Saturday bc we were wiped after our 12 hr fishing trip that lasted more like 16 hrs plus. For roughly 10 bucks a man we agreed to walk 9 for something to do. The guy behind the counter said we could walk all we wanted until dark. They had push karts for the clubs which was nice. He gave us ice for our cooler. He warned us to watch for water moccasins near the water. The holes are very close together. The fairways and greens are not well maintained. The roughs are very rough. The cart path was really rough, cracked and broken and turned to gravel in several areas. For $10 we had fun. Our expectations were very low . It wasn't a challenging course. They spent way more on the net surrounding the driving range area than they do on the grounds. Tons of weeds, hard old dry packed sand in the bunkers torn up cart path. We walked 15 before it started getting dark on us. We had fun and the guy was really nice and allowed us to start at 530 -545 when he was leaving at 6 and told us to walk all we wanted for $10.00. That's put put prices. Super cheap and we had fun and the guy was nice. 3 stars. The course itself is maybe a 1 or 2.

Thought it would be even better quality, when it was double the price. But, I was wrong! I will not be going back, and I will never pay over $6 dollars for it again. And, the customer service is lacking. Guy who made my sandwich didn't seem happy to be there and kind of annoyed that he had to wait on me. I get so aggravated that the winter specials end, before the busy season even starts! We were the only ones there and basically the only ones anywhere in sight! You would think they would keep the prices down for locals as long as they could, not true for this place, nor many others in the area. Can't understand why businesses don't wait until next week, after Memorial Day, when all the schools get out for summer session and it's more crowded and busy. Guess the owner also thinks they have to charge more to pay for the upgrade in the establishment. They've recently glassed in the porch area and seemed to have made some other changes. I have to say, I was fine with it the old way and cheaper prices for the food.
