They had the whole "telemedicine" thing down before we were all forced into it! One Medical was added to my company's benefits package this year and while I'd created an account, I had never tried any of their services until this past week. I've been dealing with an annoying little health issue over the past month or so, but it wasn't a big enough deal for an IRL doctor's appointment during COVID-19. I finally logged on and realized I could be on a Zoom call with a doctor within the hour! I made my appointment, had a video call, and had a prescription called in to my pharmacy all within an hour or so. Could it get any easier? Love how easy their website is to navigate and schedule appointments. I was even able to send over my insurance information via their portal rather than filling out forms or calling in. They do have physical offices you can visit (it's not totally virtual) if that's your thing, but even once social distancing orders are lifted, I think this is a great option for people who are busy or dealing with common/minor health issues that shouldn't really require a big trip to the doctor's office. I'm personally much more likely to deal with a doctor's appointment if I can skip the commute, parking, and waiting room! read more

My provider, Dr. Mike, is trying to do his best under the circumstances. Now, our choices in LA are getting limited.....Concierge doctors (with a hefty fee), Urgent Care, or God forbid, Kaiser. Avoid this place at all costs. I wish I can give no stars. - the providers are inexperienced and biased (the doctor literally said "Ew" when my husband said he stated where we live) - since they can't actually do much in the office, they have to refer you out. those referrals never seem to go through though, as the partners never have a record of the referral, plus they partner with equally awful providers - when my husband questioned the level of care he was getting, they decided to terminate his membership. Only after they asked him to sign a behavioral agreement because they didn't like his online review (only so that they can't be sued for patient abandonment, which they would otherwise do if they don't like you) Do not expect concierge care here. I just had my first appointment here, and I don't think I've ever had a more positive healthcare experience before. I had my Live Well appointment with Tina Pham and felt SO taken care of. As someone in a bigger body, all of my previous primary healthcare experiences have been incredibly negative, filled with judgment, and a lot of medical gaslighting, but that is not what I experienced today! Tina was incredibly caring, thoughtful, communicative, and she really listened to the concerns that I had. Moreover, she came up with action plans for how to resolve the problems and concerns I voiced, which is something I quite literally have never experienced before. I'm so grateful for this experience, it really feels like it's healed a lot of trauma that I have from a long life of seeking quality healthcare and getting the opposite. Can't wait for my next appointment! Also special shout out to Christian in the lab -- I'm a hard poke and he got it on the first try. This company has gone downhill over the last five years. Ever since it went public, it's clear they value image over actual service. It's been nearly impossible to reach anyone on video calls. I last got through after a 45 minute wait and I was coughing blood. "Treat me now" means in a day or two if you're lucky. In person appointments are hard the day of and I almost never see my "primary care physician" because the schedules are so weird and everyone is so overbooked. If you're going to charge money for a membership, at least do better than traditional providers. The service I get with doctors outside of One Medical now surpasses in speed quite frequently and quality help. I'll stick with my neighborhood urgent care if I want to wait around to hear back or do a video call with my doc. I'm cancelling my membership after five years and selling my stocks. Don't go here. So for, this place is no better than a typical drs office, and in some ways it is worse. I'm feeling like I wasted money buy paying for the membership. Here's why: I have some health issues that are causing concern. I was able to make an appointment with a doctor for the next day. That's great, but with my past good PCPs, if I'd called and asked for an appointment, I likely could have gotten an appointment pretty quickly as well. I was a new patient, and assumed that I'd be able to continue to see the doctor I saw the on the first visit. That's not the case, the dr has no availability to take on more patients at all. Because I needed testing and have issues, which will require continued care, this is an issue. I don't want to be passed around from doctor to doctor. I should have been matched with a doctor who has spots to take on new patients. My second issue is that I've called the office multiple times with questions that needed tending to in a timely fashion; every time I call the wait is over 30 minutes, and I end up hanging up. This is ridiculous. They need to more staff. I know that customer service is tricky because of the pandemic, but at this point, they have had almost a year to figure out pandemic staffing. You do have the ability to message the dr on their app, but the response can take up to 24 hours. That is not bad timing on the dr's side, but when you have a question that you need answers to more quickly, you need a person to pick up the darn phone in a timely fashion. I think this service may be best suited for people who travel a lot. So far, the pro to this service is being able to go to the dr in multiple major cities, with them having access to your charts. They need to get their staffing and admin worked out. We are paying a fee for this service. read more

I've been to a few of the One Medical locations around Los Angeles, but I had to take the time to write a review specifically for the Beverly Hills office and Tina Pham. She sat with me during my appointment and answered EVERY SINGLE question I had and took time to explain things to me. She didn't make me feel rushed or anxious, like I do at most doctor's appointments. I felt like she cared about me and my concerns. I cannot tell you how much that means...I had started to really think I wouldn't find a dr who actually listens. She listened and filled me in with all the info I needed as well as options for me. Thank you, Tina! The front desk staff was amazing as well and very kind. I'm going to go to this One Medical location from now on! My only complaint, and this is for corporate and not the individual office is that there is no direct phone number to reach the office itself. I was running late and tried to call but got sent to a general customer service line and not the specific BH office. I was on hold for a while and never made it through. Don't love that. But it's not a reflection of the specific BH location or the staff. They were amazing! read more

Basic medical forms were not upto standards accepted at DMV, they were also incomplete in several obvious places. Office staff is useless, for a medical structure based on technology the lack of information and communication available was staggering. I had to play a guessing game in order to see if the doctor i had an appointment with would be able to fill out the forms, something that could be easily solved and should never happen. I'm 39. Using the OneMedical patient portal, I asked about getting the HPV vaccine (Gardasil) which is recommended most often to people under 26. Physician's assistant Rachel Segerdahl responded: "it is unlikely to provide much, if any, benefit as people get older." I sent information published by the FDA indicating otherwise (see below) and was promptly rebuffed with a "At One Medical, we following evidence based medicine" retort, which is pretty interesting considering a One Medical doctor recommended I read a book that touts coffee enemas as a treatment for thyroid disease. COFFEE. ENEMAS. Anyway, for women like me above the age of 26 that would like to decrease their risk of dying a slow, painful death from cervical cancer, here are some stats: The FDA: "In a study in approximately 3,200 women 27 through 45 years of age, followed for an average of 3.5 years, Gardasil was 88 percent effective." National Institutes of Health: "In women aged 15-55 years, more than 99% of women remained seropositive for anti-HPV16 and anti-HPV18 antibodies up to 4 years after vaccination." (In other words, effective.) UpToDate c/o J. Thomas Cox, MD and Joel M. Palefsky, MD: "HPV vaccination also appears to be safe and effective in preventing subsequent infection and cervical disease in older women." The Lancet medical journal: "The HPV vaccine is efficacious in women aged 24-45 years not infected with the relevant HPV types at enrollment." In addition, a quote from a doctor friend specializing in infectious disease: "Some studies in Europe are finding that even when it is given to women who _already_ had cervical cancer, it helps prevent recurrence. It also appears to help prevent cervical cancer when given to older women already infected with one or more papillomaviruses." The National Institutes of Health states that "virtually all cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV" and over four thousand women in the US die of cervical cancer each year. I've decided to find a new practice that supplies ME with up-to-date, factual information versus the other way around. One bummer: their phlebotomists are rockstars at what they do. My primary care physician at the Beverly Hills office is Dr Miyazaki. He is kind, knowledgable, and attentive. I was able to make a televisit with him immediately for a life threatening gynecological problem. He immediately pulled up their list of specialists and gave me a choice of who I could see. Unfortunately the specialists all had waiting times of several weeks except the WALK IN GYN CARE. I got in the same day and was given outstanding care for my problem. I am so happy I have Dr Miyazaki as my primary care physician read more

I wish I was able to leave a different review- but this company has left me with no choice. I rarely leave a one star review- but based on my experience so far I would give them 0 stars if I could. I was tricked into a membership with the company when I was trying to get my appointment fir my second dose of my COVID vaccine. They had an offer that indicated that the fee would be waived as I was referred through the health department. Then that same day they charged me $199 for a membership that I don't need. I contacted them immediately through their app and there was no response. Finally and administrative assistant named Jennifer R replied and said that she referred my question to their "Membership Department" and after that I have sent several messages with no reply on their part. I believe they are taking advantage of the COVID crisis to increase their membership and deceiving people into their program. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard from them- even though I have continued to reach out. When a customer feels ignored, the customer have the choice of taking the complaint to a third party, which is what I have done. I am in health care marketing and I would be ashamed if my company does what these people are doing- especially during the times we are living in. read more

If you are considering joining, don't do it. I was a member a few years ago and then moved out of the area. The service at the time was fine. However, I have been trying to get access to my medical records for the last two months to give my current doctor and it has been impossible to get anyone at One Medical to help. They don't respond to emails, the chat feature on their website is only designed to get people to join, and the phones are so inundated I often have to wait over an hour to speak to someone, who then is unable to access my records. For the premium cost they charge it should be easy and simple to get your medical records. I definitely regret joining because this has been such a hassle. read more

Communication is streamlined through the app, it's easy to get whatever I need and a nurse practitioner is available to talk when my doctor is out of town. I've been coming here for almost a year and have now seen several doctors. I absolutely adore the fact that you can make same day appointments and that the doctors are the ones who greet you. It's very personal, relaxed and different from your average doctor visit. The doctors take their time, remember you and genuinely care. Also, you can handle most appointment and logistical needs on the website. No being put on hold for long segments of time. You are even given the doctors emails, which is wonderful for a quick question. My personal doctor is Dr Grotz-Rhone and I really enjoying her level of personalized service. I've never had a primary care physician. I went to Les Kelley in Santa Monica for the past few years out of convenience, not preference, but I was always dissatisfied with the inconsistency of quality of care and the physicians I met with, since they have such a high turnover rate. Enough was enough. My coworker suggested One Medical to me, so I signed up online, reviewed the profiles of all the quality doctors they have, and made my appointment online. The whole process really is super easy, seamless, and user-friendly. I went to my first appointment today. The location is pretty convenient, on Wilshire Blvd. near Santa Monica Blvd., and quite easy to find with its prominent location on the street level. The decor is very modern, with comfortable seating in the quiet waiting room. The reception area is pretty warm and welcoming, not sterile like the other doctor offices and hospital waiting rooms I've been in. It's also very well lit, with natural light coming in from the large floor-to-ceiling windows, as you watch the bustling mix of car and pedestrian traffic of Beverly Hills against the backdrop of the beautiful blue sky decorated with the iconic far-reaching skinny LA palm trees. They have a self-serve water station with an abundance of mini glass cups, and a "dirty cups" section for when you're done. This is definitely an idea I'd like to incorporate in my own office! They boast about starting their appointments on time, and they really stay true to that goal. Although I arrived 7 minutes late for my appointment, I got up within minutes of arriving. My doctor, Dr. Michelle Grotz-Rhone, introduced herself to me as "Michelle," which I was totally impressed with. She really made me feel comfortable, and she was quite personable without being overwhelming. My visit was about 45 minutes, and she addressed every question I had with care and quality solutions. I was very impressed with her medical knowledge and experience, and felt at ease raising any of my concerns with her. When our appointment ended, I had a final question, which she quickly listened to, and advised me to send her a message so she could address it at a later time. Within hours of submitting my message to her, I already received a response from a nurse in her office, addressing my concern - I can't believe how responsive they are! I went back to the waiting room after my appointment, waiting for my blood draw for about 15 minutes, but once I was in there, the nurse was super personable, friendly, and kept me at ease as she drew my blood. The whole process was super quick and painless, which I always appreciate. My only qualms about this medical center is that when you call the number, you are directed to an automated system that directs you to a call center remote from the location you're trying to call. When I called ahead to ask about parking instructions, I was advised that there are two parking options - valet, or parking in the alley around back, for which they validate. I followed the instructions to park in the lot through the alley, and I was reprimanded by the valet attendant, who informed me that the medical plaza is valet-only, no self park option available. When I was waiting for my blood draw, I saw another patient walk in, inquiring if they validate parking, to which the receptionist said "yes." When I brought up my parking ticket, which had been marked for 1 hour and 17 minutes ago, she gave me validations for one hour, with a smile. When I asked how much they validate for, she said, "only one hour." I am quite disappointed that I was informed by their call center and the fact that the receptionists advise their patients that they validate for parking, leaving out the crucial detail that they ONLY VALIDATE FOR ONE HOUR. I wouldn't have been taken aback about this misinformation if they had told me ahead of time that they only validate for one hour. It really doesn't hurt your patients if they know ahead of time that they're going to have to pay $2/every 15 minutes thereafter - knowledge is power, people! All in all, I am a fan of this place, and I do look forward to making Dr. Grotz-Rhone my primary care physician. Now that I have had my first experience here, I can be better prepared for the parking situation for my next visit. read more

The MORONS there not only coded everything wrong but then could not rectify it - EVEN BASED ON WHAT INSURANCE SAID. Then they continued to ignore me and nothing got done. And now here we are in August and I still owe LabCorp money. Their annual membership fee of $200 is NOT WORTH the headache I went through with them. SAVE yourself the trouble and just go through your regular service providers. Most facilities/carriers are now offering the SAME thing this place is FREE/included with your premium. I generally have very pleasant experiences with OneMedical, and I like their service, professionalism and attitude both in their San Francisco offices and now Los Angeles. Unfortunately today I had a very disappointing Doctor's visit at the OneMedical Beverly Hills branch. The doctor's name I went to see is Meghan Moore PA-C. Within a few minutes of talking to her I felt not only I was being patronized but also certainly unwelcome. Quite the opposite experience of what I'm used to in One Medical doctors. I came to follow up on a stomach discomfort I've never felt in the past and she quickly dismissed it in a non-constructive type of way. Usually when people are not aware of what's wrong in their bodies (both minor or major) you are already in a position of distress. Having had two friends that had very close calls when their appendix burst, I wanted to go to a doctor if I wasn't feeling right after my previous Doctor visit. Now, it doesn't help to go see a doctor that makes you feel like you are wasting her time, and Dr. Moore sure made me feel that way. I wish she had a more encouraging attitude or communication even if there is nothing worrisome about my health. So I can't give this review 5 stars based on Dr. Moore's behavior which felt fairly condescending. But I did want to add three stars because after the visit, Alexis Agolsove, the front desk person, had a wonderful very helpful attitude which I very much appreciated. read more

I called on Monday and just now to inquire about establishing care as a first-time patient. Danny, Member Advisor, just hung up on me after my about 40 minute call in which nothing was resolved. During this 40-minute call, I discussed a One Medical message I had just received today asking about my insurance member # and stating it needed to be checked by One Medical to ensure it is active and in network before my first appointment scheduled tomorrow. I had answered it in an email though had received no reply to my email answer. I said to Danny that I had spoken to Ari and Jae in Membership as well as Sherry in Admin, all on Monday. I said I had offered both to state my member # and to email a photo of my insurance to each, though all had declined to take my member # or give an email or fax number to send a photo of my card to. They said the email on their website was not going to answer my email or be monitored in any manner to receive it. They said not to email that or any email address about that. I spoke to Danny today about the distinction between checking my exact member # to ensure it is active and in-network, as One Medical's message to me today said it needed to do, as contrasted with a general statement that One Medical accepts my insurance company's coverage. He said if I sent a photo of my insurance card or came in person with my insurance card ahead of time, earlier than my appointment, he could check my insurance member # to ensure its status as active and in network. As I was emailing my insurance card photo, he then said I had misunderstood him. He said that neither he nor One Medical is able to check an insurance member # as active and in network with it, even after I emailed my insurance card or came in person with it ahead of time. I asked why. He refused to give a reason. I asked what he had actually said if I had misunderstood about him just saying that he could check my exact member ID # as active and in network if I emailed the photo of my insurance card, as I then just emailed it. He refused to say what he he had actually been saying instead. He also refused to answer why he even suggested I email it, as I did. He then repeatedly threatened to hang up on me, even after he had originally acknowledged he himself had read the message sent me today to give OneMedical my exact insurance member #, since it had to ensure it is active and in network before my appointment tomorrow. I read him too OneMedical's email stating that twice. Then he repeatedly called me rude. He said the call was being recorded and he was really glad it was, since he considered me rude. I asked to speak to his supervisor, He said he could not transfer me though did not give a reason. He said I would hear from a supervisor in about a day or two. Then he hung up on me though he had neither resolved or taken care of anything at all. Update: In about 1.5 weeks, OneMedical canceleed 5 establishing care appointments. It canceled about half 3 hours or about a day before. The doctor canceled the other half with no notification so I was going to come to the office, pay for parking, wait and at check in be told my appointment had been canceled. This morning's appointment was canceled by the doctor 3 hours before check in such that in the early morning I did not see the automated email among spam and constant OneMedical messages canceling earlier appointments this week. It always automated emails last-second. I have to click a link in it to even see cancelation with no or almost no reason. Each time I wait on hold over 1 hour to hear why and reschedule. It recommended in-person establishing care with a doctor not doing in-person then not available at all for a couple weeks. The only department I can speak to to make appointments said the opposite, scheduled in-person and did not explain why my appointments kept being canceled. Instead of rescheduling my appointment as telehealth and sending explanation/confirmation, I waited on hold an hour asking why those 1st 2 appointments had suddenly been canceled. I was not offered my same appointment time rather earlier telehealth and told to wait for a call back about this and about which doctor was set up to cover for the doctor to cc on my records, which I had to take time away from work to last-second convert from paper to electronic. They say they cannot tell you the doctor is unavailable for several weeks, after they suggest establishing care with him. I waited for a return call that never came. The doctor turned upset, alleging I was "late," though I entered Zoom well before my originally scheduled appointment, had checked in 15 minutes after as I had awaited the call that never came then waited 5 minutes in Zoom. Also, no one scanned in my attached records, no doctor was told me as cc and no doctor covered for him. Doctors canceled my next appointments due to last-second being out of office too. 3 doctors were last-second out of the office. A 4th is on leave. read more

I hate going to the doctor with a fiery unyielding passion, so this is a big review for me. I had a really nice conversation with Dr. Kulkarni today. I felt very comfortable and understood. I called One Medical BH after not having the best check-in in the SM office and asked for the most warm and fuzzy doctor they had and they referred me to Dr. Kulkarni. They were right. She was very easy to talk to and was very accommodating of me and my neurosis. I would definitely recommend her or her partner, Linda. The front desk staff are exceptionally helpful and nice and look forward to seeing them soon. For someone who doesn't like the doctor, this is a big compliment. read more

And though I generally like One Medical and staff are always friendly, I had a disappointing experience with visiting a doctor, for which I have to pay over $200 now just because there was some travel consultation about my vacation. I didn't learn anything new for me during my visit and we discussed the travel part only for 5 minutes maximum, talking about other things for the rest 5-10 minutes. So basically I have to pay $200 now for 5-minute travel consultation which did not give me any useful information or advice. I wish the doctor told me about possible charges and I wouldn't ask a single question about my vacation. Really upsetting. read more

This company is a scam. They advertise that they are scheduling Covid vaccinations. They started giving vaccinations to whoever paid $200 for their service. Then word got out and they got in trouble so they kept everyone's money and said you need a specific document to get vaccinated you should have known. Horrible service. I arrived with my paperwork to get the COVID vaccine and was turned away because I wasn't a doctor or a nurse. I work with the homeless and my organization has been told by the LA County Health Department that we are able to get the vaccine in tier 1A. Many of my coworkers in the same role as me have been able to get it at other facilities including UCLA Health. I offered proof of all this to one of the workers and they told me that I wasn't a doctor or a nurse so I couldn't get it and had to leave without even looking at the proof. I truly believe that our primary care doctor is our most important-- this is the person who is on the front lines making sure we stay healthy so we never have to go see that specialist or get that surgery. If you pay attention to the news, you know that this kind of doctor, although a huge part of our lives, often has to see a ridiculous amount of patients in a rushed office just to pay the bills. This place, however, is made with reform in mind. I sat and talked to my doc for about 30 minutes for an acute problem. He sent me his email and I am free to reply with questions. I can make an appointment with an app on my phone. Best of all, he really treated me with intelligence and care and will be a doctor I begin to build an actual relationship with. I don't remember ever having a "general practitioner" like that, one that actually knows me and speaks in an unhurried manner. Competence is also important-- it was very clear that Dr Jason Chirichigno is passionate about his work and stays abreast of current developments. He was able to identify possible problems that no other doctor had thought of before that I'd seen. I think that everyone working there must be on the same "mission"-- to actually make healthcare a rewarding experience for both parties. I'm guessing. What do I know? I'm not a doctor. I am very proud of myself for making the choice to come here, though. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I have been with One Medical for nearly 2 years, having not needed them much for the first year and a half. However, I came back from an overseas trip, and I went to see Dr. Bruce Olmscheid. He was arrogant, didn't listen to my concerns, and told me that my 3 weeks of stomach cramps were not a bacterial infection so there would be no point in prescribing me antibiotics. He told me that it most likely would go away. I was in horrific pain, but he reduced it to saying "you're just uncomfortable". The next day, I suddenly got a fever, which ended up hitting 104 degrees. I called One Medical, they refused to put me through to a doctor -- even though this is something they are supposed to guarantee -- so I had no idea what to do. I went to Urgent Care who suggested I should go to ER. So...I ended up in ER at Cedars...they figured out it was indeed a severe bacterial infection. Two sets of antibiotics were prescribed and it took nearly 2 weeks to fully recover. All this -- plus a bill of over $3k (after insurance) -- would have been avoided if this doctor had simply prescribed me antibiotics. Since this incident, One Medical hasn't even apologized for their lack of professionalism. And now I'm stuck with a massive bill. Their technology may be great, but the lack of medical care and basic services are not worth risking your health over. It might cost you more money in the end anyway. read more

I have major anxiety when it comes to going to the doctor, but I NEVER feel anxious here. From the soothing decor, to the amazing & FRIENDLY staff, this place is the best. It (ALMOST) feels like you're about to go to a spa appointment.. it's that nice... Best part? They see you ON TIME. read more

This place is the WORST! Usually when you go to a doctor you can call them, follow-up, talk to someone or get feedback, not here. I had a terrible experience, kept calling to speak with someone and instead was told just to head to the ER by the receptionist. $2,000.00 ER hospital bill later, I find out my doctor at One Medical misdiagnosed me. I've come to loath most Doctors' offices for numerous reasons, including scheduled appointments that inevitably run 30-45 minutes late, staff is generally unfriendly and the waiting areas are about as welcoming as hanging out in a hospital emergency room. One Medical Group is the antithesis of what I've come to expect. I mean, you make your own appointments online and they stick to the schedule! The staff is super friendly and inviting. And, the waiting room is something you'd expect to find right out of Vogue magazine - very chic! But the best part of all was meeting the wonderful doctor, Jacqueline Yaris, who spent time really listening to what was ailing me and was not in a rush to quickly diagnosis and make a buck. She wanted to know about me first and then to collectively figure out the best solution to my illness. I was extremely impressed. I'm very happy to have found One Medical Group. read more

I can't have better things to say about One Medical. I had my first appointment with Dr. Aarti today. I scheduled an appointment for 8AM, arrived at 7:50, checked in, and was in the patient room by 8:01. She was sweet, attentive, and made me feel totally comfortable. Her exam was thorough and I did not feel rushed at all. After my exam, I needed a vaccine. She immediately sent me over to the phlebotimist who administered the shot immediately. For the entire hour I was there, I only waited for 10 minutes, and that was because I arrived ten minutes early. I would highly recommend One Medical to anyone. The membership is absolutely worth the quality of service, cleanliness, and professionalism you receive. I know they're opening an office in Santa Monica soon. Can't recommend enough!!! read more

After a pretty terrible experience at another doctor's office, I was sent the One Medical Group and saw Dr. Jackie Yaris. The appointment started right on time and everyone was super friendly. The follow up was on point. I received all test results and specialist referrals (already cleared with my insurance) the very next day. The office itself was great. Great waiting area and exam rooms. Dr Aarti Kulkarni is the VERY BEST. I can't remember the last time I was treated and regarded with this much care. She took TIME, not just 5 minutes to really go over everything, ask questions, and she's crazy smart. Great demeanor too. One Medical Group is a blessing to the community. Pretty disappointed that I chose to try out this place for the convenience and wound up paying for an inconvenience. You can have all the concierge MD's, but if you don't have an awesome receptionist that is polished and sharp, you've diminished the image of this practice. I didn't get in the same day and got canceled the next. Customer service needs to match the concept and image of this place especially if you want to service Beverly Hills. I thought it would be a great place to send a ton of people to, but not recommending this to my local network anytime soon. read more
