My wife and I had the unfortunate luck with a problem concerning our RV camper. We had it towed to one stop. It was after closing; therefore, we stayed in a hotel. I left my cell number in the drop box at one stop. I received a call that next morning explaining what was wrong. We drove over and we met Tod Tisdale. He assured me it would be taken care of and made us feel at ease. He even recommended a place to sight see. It was one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. When we returned, the rv was completed and better then ever. Tod and one stop took care of serious business. If life throws you a mechanical curve, stop at one stop. It will be fixed. Ask for Tod. This just needs to be said! FIRST AND FORMOST....STEER CLEAR FROM THIS BUSINESS!! This establishment is owned by a very mean, rude, ill mannered, harshly behaviored man. My Brother and poor Sis -n-Law had a break down right before you get into Amarillo. Rolled into a LOVES Truck shop and they made a phone call to a shop who he said would help them. A guy named Todd showed up and they followed him to his shop where they met the meanest and rudest shop owner they've ever encountered! At first he wasn't going to help them at all and then finally gave in and "allowed" them to lock their loaded down truck ( but first my brother had to argue with the guy that he wasn't about to unload his truck ) in their shop overnight until their mechanic could take a look at it the next morning. I think his name is Todd. They were then taken to a Motel 6 and CHARGED $10.oo trip charge for taking them there to stay overnight! OMGosh!!! Nice huh. My poor family. Stuck in the middle of "DELIVERANCE" (movie...google it ), town with their truck being held hostage with limited funds and no idea when they'll be able to get back on the road again until the next morning. Next morning: no word...9am rolls around. They call to see if they have any updateds. Todd very rudly said don't call up there and talk to the owner, and to call back at 10:00 to give him time to look at the truck to give them a better idea at repair and estimate. 10:00 rolls around. No word.....Well, by this time my Sis was on the phone with me and together we hurredly found a reputable and SAFE auto repair service, who left immediatly and picked up my family at the motel, took them back to the garage from "RUDE PODUNKVILL" where their truck was stored, helped them get their truck towed out of there and to "his" auto service shop, dropped them off at a wonderful pizza place so they could eat a meal, then brought them back to his comfy waiting room with coffee to enjoy. My Sis mentioned Christian music was playing and that she and my brother were able to relax and destress from the previous shop at the nightmare on elm. SHAME ON YOU ONE STOP AUTO RV. You don't treat people like their an inconvience to your day. You're a "service" company. Look up that word in the dictionary. It will help you better treat people who are desperate. They don't need taken advantage of by rude and mean behaviored, ill mannered bozos. read more

I get it. Being stranded in a city and state you're completely unfamiliar with makes for a very tense situation, so folks tend to become apprehensive. Our car broke down (shredded serpentine belt) in the middle of nowhere some 45 minutes past Amarillo. Our tow truck driver recommended One Stop, so that's where we took our car. They got to working on our car and estimated we would get our car that afternoon. There was an armored truck they had to get out before ours so I understood (although a bit disappointed) when they called me later to say that our car would be ready the next day around noon. When we got there, our car was in one of the bays with the engine running very smoothly, and our belongings that we had left in our car were untouched. Our car was running better than when we first started our cross-country trip! Thanks to Joe and Gary, we'll make it to California in time to start my new job! That being said, don't let the negative reviews dissuade you from using their services. Their prices were fair, and they did a great job on our car. These people wanted to charge us double the price for an axle for our travel trailer--and we'd have to wait a week for it. They have some deal w/Ricky's Towing, the company that towed us off of I-40. This was one of the most horrible people we ever encountered. We broke down in Amarillo, 3 miles from this place. We were on our way to Los Angeles from Missouri. Turned out we only needed a small part for the car to be fixed. The owner there pretended to be on the phone looking for the part, and he was acting very suspicious. Both me and my boyfriend realized right away that he was a crook, liar and thief and that he was not on the phone with anyone. He said that he called everybody and that he couldn't find the part and that we would have to stay in Amarillo for 2 nights in order for him to find the part and fix the car. We explained to him that our money was very limited and that we could not afford a hotel but he didn't seem to care. My boyfriend called O'REILEY'S AUTO PARTS in Amarillo and they informed him that they had the part that only cost $32. We confronted the owner of ONE STOP AUTOMOTIVE that we found the part, when he had already said that he had called Oreiley's auto parts and talked to the head of the parts department and they told him they didn't have the part. So he started mumbling and started saying that it was the wrong part etc. To cut a long story short, this horrible man wanted to keep us there, pretend that it was a hard fix, wanted to charge us a ridiculous amount of money and didn't even care that we had not much money to get back home. We ended up going to another mechanic, where the part was delivered within 30 minutes, the other mechanic fixed the car within 3 minutes and only charged us $80 for everything. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER GOING TO 'ONE STOP AUTOMOTIVE & RV"! They will charge you 5 times the price, cheat you and make your life hell. STAY AWAY. read more

We had a problem with our RV that needed to be addressed before continuing our journey. We called and Todd said to come on in but there may be an hour wait as he is finishing up a job. We pulled in and parked where he told us to. From inside the shop, a man called us inconsiderate and continued with negative remarks regarding the spot we parked in (he had ample space to reverse his truck and leave if he so chose). We ignored him as Todd was very pleasant and he would be the one working on our RV. An hour passed, two, then three. He kept apologizing as he had encountered problems with the vehicle he was working on. Six hours of waiting he then said that most probably he won't be able to help. We understood his predicament and opted to spend the night at a nearby RV campground with the understanding and promise that we will be Todd's first customers in the morning at 9:00 AM. All that was yesterday. Today, we pulled into the lot at 8:45AM to be sure we hold first spot. 9:15AM, no Todd. I walked into the office and asked Gary (who needs a very strong dose of niceness and customer service that he sorely lacks) as to when he expects Todd. He said he had no idea. I asked him to please give him a call. Gary stated that Todd changed his number and he does not know what it is but to go ahead and wait, he will come in. 9:30, then 9:40 and still no Todd. I walked back into the office and Gary was on his exercise bike. I asked once again if Todd is on his way. Gary gruffly told me, Todd will be here when he is here and that if he was me, I won't wait for him. Needless to say, I was livid! I told him that I intend to share this with anyone and everyone I could. I then called Good Sam road assistance and shared my horrible experience. The gave me another referral S&L truck repair, who promptly took us and, repaired the problem, and had us on our way in less than an hour! read more

A number of years ago, before Google and Yelp, I lost my timing belt several miles outside of Amarillo. The tow truck driver took me to the closest garage where I waited all night for the place to open. I told them to replace the belt and nothing else since I had little cash and a very long way to go. They insisted I had to have this tested and that done before they could warranty the work. I didn't want a warranty; just wanting to get the car back on the road. They stuck me with a $450.00 bill for work that I told them NOT to do. They even had the nerve to charge me $50.00 to "remove and replace" a cover that wasn't even there! To add insult to injury, I contacted the Attorney General and filed a complaint and actually sent pictures of the non-existant cover and I was told that I wasn't overcharged for ANY of the work (even though I didn't want it) and even said the bogus charge for the cover was justified(?!?!). Well, now there IS Google and Yelp and I'm letting the whole world know that if you break down east of Amarillo, and you have little money, have yourself towed to a Pep Boys and offer to pay one of the exiting customers to do the work. I've actually made friends that way in my travels.because people actually enjoy helping, but you won't find that at this place. They had me in a corner and they got me good. Today, I'm happy to, finally, return the favor. ZERO STARS (just in case I have to give at least one) and if I do, I'm taking it back. That felt good! read more

The engine in our Class A motorhome was knocking a little. We pulled in to have it looked at, the guy who helped us was very very nice and hilarious. He changed the oil and said that would help. It did bring the pressure gage down but the engine still knocks a little lol he gave us a lot of helpful hints on redirecting the heat from the engine. And he scanned the engine for any codes and checked the temps of everything. He did find the fuel filter was clogged and replaced that. We were charged $140 just for the labor but all he did was the oil change and fuel filter change. Seemed a bit high but he did give us a lot of good info. Very down to earth friendly guy who was extremely helpful. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! If this place is still in business it shouldn't be!!! The owner is beyond rude...the so called mechanic is just as bad with a smile like a snake! We broke down traveling from California to Oklahoma to visit family for Thanksgiving. We had the misfortune to be directed to these crooks! When we wanted to remove our vehicle and take it to a more reputable shop for repair they held our vehicle hostage until we paid for an hour labor which took all of five minutes max. If you are stranded or in need of a trustworthy automotive shop I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive...Brian (805) 576-0801...just a short distance from this awful place. They will arrange for you to be towed out of here and to their shop and will treat you fairly and honestly! Thanks to my Sister in-law who came to our rescue and found them for us!!! read more

damn bearing went out on our antique 62 trailer several miles outside amarillo after the worst storm we ve seen ever. tom the tow truck driver reccommended these fellas and we had to continue on our trip and leave our baby behind after some minor problems derrek at one stop qouted a price that was fair and resonable and after living in houston long ago i found these fellas refreshing todeal with we will be returning soon to pick up our trailer and will update this after we meet these guys personally!! hell we may even get a veterans discount!! read more
