A couple of months ago. A 6 mo. old snake and a 27 yr old snake BOTH died when I feed them each a thawed mouse from One Stop. They refuse to take ownership and a couple of the employees mouth off when i bring it up. They even deny it. I tested one of the 10 frozen mice I bought from them in a medical lab. It tested positive for salmonella. DO NOT buy frozen mice from this place. read more

We've been going to One Stop for years. It is a clean, well rounded pet shop focusing on more high quality brands and foods and all the things you might need for your cat, dog, fish or reptile with a helpful staff. We get our Open Farm and Weruva dog food and various treats here, which is always well stocked. Decent selection of harnesses, clothing, bedding, toys, grooming supplies and even some locally sourced/made items as well. Like that they they have a rewards Loyalty program for repeat customers. Only downside is cost if you are needing something really inexpensive. We will continue to come to this store whenever we visit family in the area. Free easy parking out front located near Home Depot/big shopping center. read more

I wanted to leave a review because this place opened me up to doing my own research. The store in brattleboro had a guy in the fish department named nick that kept me on my toes. I bought a few cheap fish for my sick cat a long time ago so I could give him something to swat at in a water dish on his last few weeks, and he sold them to me along with some popular treats to give him some tasty memories. My cat ended up living for several more years and I now shop for my fish tanks that I ended up falling in love with. I started buying cat food in keene when I got a kitten again and he was there as the manager. He recommended food that I am still buying today. A girl in the store told me that he was in brattleboro again so I might start going there! The knowledge from everyone at these stores is quite amazing. Nick kind of overwhelmed me with stuff about food when he had helped me the first time, but he really taught me some things over the course of my weekly visits. I do not think I ever looked at the ingredients of cat food until he made me read them with him in the aisle for like an hour hehe. He explained every little detail to me and answered all of my questions. My daughter was worried that I was being scammed and she came with me one day to get fish food. Nick talked to her as well and now she buys her dog food there and has ginea pigs for my granddaughters that she swore she would never buy. We need real food and your pets do too! Shop at places like this. They actually care about your pets even though it can be intimidating at first. read more

My cat was recently diagnosed witH lymphoma. It's been very hard to keep him hydrated. I went in (having many 5 star experiences before) looking for broths for my cat to keep him hydrated. He has dietary restrictions so I needed broths without fish or dairy. I thought I was in for mission impossible. I never got her name but she walked me through all the different options I never knew existed. She made it so easy to decide what was best for my good boy's needs and I want to extend a huge thank you to her. It's been a hard journey as is so this experience reassured me that I'll be able to come back for whatever my cat needs. I hope she's promoted! read more

This store is incredible. The customer service is some of the best I've ever received anywhere. When we needed to try on a product for our dog that they didn't have in stock in the Keene store they were even willing to pick up samples from the Brattleboro store for us just so we could have a fashion show. The staff at One Stop really know and love animals and can make great recommendations - in my experience they are very honest and knowledgeable and will not try to sell you products that are not appropriate for your pet. One Stop has a large selection of dog products including toys, healthy treats, and apparel. The prices are reasonable. You might pay a little more for some items than you would at a big chain (it really depends on the item, some prices are comparable), but you can find local and specialty products here that Petco doesn't carry and the overall quality of merchandise at One Stop is superior. You are not going to find a really cheap poorly made item or one with suspect ingredients here like you might elsewhere. One Stop also carries carry Ruffwear and Musher's Secret, which are a must for our dog in the winter. read more

We started dropping by this nifty clean store when we discovered it in the same shopping center as our eye doctor. It's a well-stocked store that has friendly, knowledgeable staffers and seems truly welcoming to pets. They carry lots of food varieties and it all seems to us to be of high quality, at least for dogs (we have an Eskie). There are plenty of accessories, from toys to care items, and the people who work here are happy and quick to share their opinions and experiences. We welcome that because they know what they're doing. And they always offer our dog a treat before leaving and have even packed a few goodies for him in a bag to go at no charge. That's good service that generates repeat visits. And that's what we do -- we keep coming back. We suspect you and your pet will approve as well. read more

Great pet store! We stopped in on a whim since my 2 yr old loves animals and we were at Home Depot next door. Everyone was very friendly and nice as we spent our time looking at their live animals. The store was very clean and all the animals looked very well kept. We picked up some treats for our dogs and the pricing seemed competitive too. read more

This store has a huge selection of quality items for your pets. Plus, they give back to the community. This year they sponsored an adoption event at the Monadnock Humane Society which took $25 off of my adoption and I got a $25 gift card to their shop. Also, it's a huge plus that this shop is local! Staff doesn't recognize me as a loyal customer. I've been going here for many years and every time I go in it's as if it's the first time they've seen me. Doesn't feel good to patronize this place, but limited resources around here so what can I do? It's the same people, people I've struck up mini conversations with in the past, but zero recognition on their faces next time I'm in. Totally flat. I've also experienced employees yucking it up amongst themselves while they ring me up, completely ignoring me. I relocated to Keene 3 weeks ago. The first time I saw this place was when I came to the thrift shop near this store, Penelopes. Instead of having no luck at Penelope's, I hopped over to this store and browsed for items for my new puppy.Everything at the time was 50% off, which I was surprised to see. I was thinking it was a marketing gimmick. But they were moving, and my mom purchased a raincoat for my dog, it was only $8.50 and I received tons of compliments. 2 weeks had gone by, I came back here, as there are not many pet supply stores, in fact I do not know of any other place other than here and Petco. Petco is very generic, but it did sell live animals. So if you are strictly ONLY looking for pet supplies, this is the place for you. I picked up some cute toys for my dog that would have otherwise cost a lot at 60% off. It seems like they were moving the Monday after. Came back again during lunch today and everything was up to 75% off. At this price point, it was truly too cheap to resist, even cheaper than Walmart. But if you were shopping here if they were not having a sale, I'd probably not purchase anyway. The price point are strictly manufacturing price. Some of the workers here are knowledgeable and some are kind of just clueless and is manning the cashier. I think the checkout clerk should at least be staffed by someone who can handle basic customer questions, since it's a pet store. They are moving to the same shopping center as Target and Price Chopper. read more

I have to say that this store knows customer service and that it is the most important aspect of this business. We recently discovered that our golden may have a food allergy and we went in and asked if they had suggestions. We were greeted with very knowledgable and apparent animal lovers. The gentleman that waited on us suggested that we take some samples home. He quickly rounded up a large selection of samples and then went into detail about them, even suggesting and telling us that it could even be a seasonal allergy, we had never heard of this before but he spoke from experience from another customer. When everything was packed up we were told that if none of these samples were good for our dog to come back and we would try another regimen. I can not express how pleased we were with this experience and truly we are now loyal customers and will be for a long time. It was apparent that the person we dealt with was more concerned with finding the right product for our dog than making a sale at that moment.
