I enjoy shopping at this Kroger location off Lake Shore Drive, across from Lake Front Park. It is a…read moregood medium-sized neighborhood supermarket for St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe residents. I get fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats, seafood, and frozen food here. Among the meat and seafood, I have bought the BBQ pork belly and lemon pepper salmon, which are easy to cook at home. My favorite frozen food item at this Kroger is Roots Organic Potato Tots made with avocado oil. It's unlike any frozen potato I've tried before. I am not a fan of the ready-made salad. There are other grocery stores with better salad options. I usually go to the self-checkout aisle, so I do not interact much with the workers, but I've never run into any issues so far. The customers who shop here are cordial and friendly as well.

Harassment at self checkout…read more I have shopped at this store for nearly 20 years as it's very close to home. I used the self checkout today closest to the register. As soon as I entered my Kroger #, the cashier walked over & stood directly next to me. She watched each item I scanned & placed in a bag and kept staring directly at my face. I looked directly at her and said, "Hi". She responded quietly but continued to stare at me in an opposing way. It was unnecessarily uncomfortable & awkward enough that I will only use an actual checkout lane moving forward. I understand the need for theft prevention and there are cameras Everywhere in this store. Allowing an employee to try intimidation by staring at a customer for the 7 minutes it took to check out is weird and unacceptable. Train your staff to also be kind and respectful please.
