    Poke Bowl

If your looking for lakefront view this is a great location. Food for the prices isn't the greatest. Ordered the poke bowl which was mediocre. Very small amount of Salmon that had decent flavor. Sushi rolls with the abundance of options on menu seems to be they way to go but they are priced in $20-40 per roll which does not Seem to be worth pricing . Overall, wouldRecommend drinks but not food

Where to begin. This is a destination on the Detroit food map. If you are in town visiting or a resident, stop in for 5-star dining and staff who enjoy their work. Guaranteed a quality evening with a fantastic menu. I was here for a quick grab - so I went with a in-season soup. Their menu is eclectic so no one is left out of a meal option. They do have a seasonal menu until they run out. The interior has a lot of space, and in summer time they have an outside patio for band performances. The kitchen facing dining space is cool if your into that. The bar seating and tables are enough to hold 100 easy. I had the roasted summer squash soup. Creamy, just the right flavor of roasted squash. Everything is hand prepared there is no Sysco main items here. They even ship speciality fish from around the world for special event engagements. Chef Bobby and Chef Mike are wizards!

I was craving Fish N Chips so I thought it was finally time to give Hook a try. The ambiance is nice and there's a great view of all the boats in the neighboring Marina. The service was spot on. The food came quickly and there were multiple server assistants to fill your water and meet any other needs we had.

Stopped in by boat midday. We decided to sit outside at the bar. Most of the tables outside were unbused and dirty. I was underwhelmed by the menu and service. I was surprised there weren't more appetizer or lunch type options for those just stopping in for a drink and a snack. Everything was pretty pricey, and the tiki bar didn't have a separate menu. The one bartender was having trouble managing even though there were only 2 other couples at the bar. We decided not to eat and I just ordered a spicy margarita. It was ok, they use jalapeno syrup and not actual jalapeno's. Finally after getting the bill I saw that he had overcharged me $2 for my already expensive $14 drink - I told him and he fixed it. This is not a return place for us.

The food was great!! Very fresh seafood. The waitress was very friendly. She helped explain the menu to us and gave us entree recommendations. Only downsides were I made a reservation for 5:30, arrived early 5:25 and didn't get seated until close to 6 but walk ins were being seated before us. Also I went there for my mother's birthday and they didn't acknowledge it at all even after mentioning again to the waitress it's her birthday. Overall a great experience with great food. I will be back.

Had reservations for New Years Eve dinner 2025 At 5:15pm. Made reservations 2 weeks prior, Been here many times but this time was very upsetting! Seated us out on the cold enclosed patio in the corner covered in plastic and snow blowing in. Terrible ambience and unacceptable! This is supposed to be fine dining! It was awful so disappointed! They said that's all they had!! It was terrible in there! Freezing and dark! Sorry Chef Bobby wasn't impressed at all! $500 dinner sitting outside dockside! Should've just left! Do better

Wow, what a nice and classy establishment you definitely want to stop by for awesome drinks & food & on occasion, live music that's not so loud you can't hear the other person talking. The service was top notch. The ambience is spectacular. There's bar seating & tables. You can't pass this place by. A must go!

Recently (Wednesday) I had the pleasure of dining at HOOK My sister was in town so I invited her to dinner and choose Hook to meet. (Both of us born/raised on East side ... SCS) The moment I (we) walked in we were greeted by a wonderful gal with a smile. The decor; beautifully curated creating a stylish vibe that spoke to why I choose the right spot to be. The ambient lighting perfectly complemented the setting for both casual dinners and special occasions. The staff (all inclusive) truly made the experience memorable, they were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu(s), they went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Best for last, the MEAL Chef Zach & crew worked harmoniously together, it was nothing short of spectacular‼ Check out my photos, be sure to check out the HOOK I can speak to my meal, the flavors were perfectly balanced and each bite was better than the last, my sisters the same. The cocktails, well "where is the Rum" go check it out!! I highly recommend the Hook to anyone looking for great food and a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. Happy weekend and if you don't have plans, I highly recommend checking out the HOOK

I ordered a gin Collin's and requested light simple syrup. It was prepared as requested, and I enjoyed it. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was absolutely huge! It was flavorful, and I liked the pita bread versus chips. For dinner I had the pasta in New Orleans, but requested it with garlic butter pesto sauce, instead of the cream pesto sauce. The waitress told me that the modification was no big deal and she would let the kitchen know. Again, that came out as requested, and it was delicious. Even the bread basket with whipped butter was good. To add to all this, there was live music. The music was not overly loud, the guys voice was very smooth, and it added the perfect addition to a nice night out. Only thing I'd say is they need to switch up their signs. We were excited to try the late night happy hour advertised all over outside (9pm-12). However, they said it wasn't offered Fridays. A little misleading.

Put down a deposit for said reservation. Arrived. Were told half of our party needed to be present to be seated. (Then what was the $100 deposit and reservation for?) Once we had 10 waiting in the lobby - we still had to wait to be seated. The place was empty, since it was early. Weird. The menu is very limited for anyone gluten free (with the exception of sushi sans soy sauce). There were bones in the fish and chips (strange), the salmon was dry. It was loud. We were celebrating a birthday. Which we informed at time of the reservation. At the end of the meal they brought out a large plate with the words Happy Birthday in chocolate sauce (written very nicely, I must add) accompanied by two squirts of whipped cream, a spoonful of strawberries in syrup and a birthday candle. It was kind of silly. (But still worked.) The high chair was filthy and loaded with large crumbs. Here's the deal - I'm not really a complainer. I mean it sincerely - I want to like (even love) Fishbones. It's close to home. The bar is kind of cool. The outdoor bar area is casual and friendly feeling but the food is mediocre at the very best. And too pricey to be so mediocre. That said - our servers were great and sweet (once they finally got to us - which took quite some time). The fact that they don't split bills in this day and age of apps is backwards. (One bill per table and a max of two cards per bill seems like some arbitrary rule.) Heavy sigh. Unless I'm invited to a post-funeral luncheon or something there, I won't be back. Edited to add the photo.

Well the food (small lobster, small crab legs and unshelled shrimp arrived in a hot plastic bag. Either the food is pre-cooked and they just re-heat it in a plastic bag or it's cooked in a plastic bag. Either way not my idea of a healthy meal. Also asked for some butter for dipping (the very small lobster tail and the tiny crab legs) which the server brought out. The "butter" if that's what it was had a horrible rancid taste which the server did nothing about when we mentioned it to him. All in all for two people we spent well over well $110.00 which included a 15% non-negotiable "service charge" that was added to the bill. Definitely not worth the money or the assault on my taste buds! Won't be going there ever again and I suggest you don't either!

For main course, We ordered a seafood boil with lobster , crab legs and shrimp with Cajun spice which was seasoned perfectly. Gotta say this place for a franchise is one of my favorites.
