I went on the hunt for a mobile groomer after it became evident that my kind and gentle senior cat is actually part Jaguar if you try to trim his claws. I don't know if its an injury or trauma, but my mellow old man gets really upset when you try to trim them down, and requires either a vet visit or 2 of my friends and a beach towel to come over and help me. I contacted One Stop to try and set something up for them to come to my home to trim his claws, because I felt so guilty trying to trim them myself. It was like I was traumatizing him! My dog Lucy is almost 17 years old. She has a hard time getting up off the floor which makes it even harder to take her places. That's why we needed a mobile groomer. My husband found One Stop and I'm so glad he did! They were so gentle and patient with her. When she was done she looked like a puppy! Where do I start.. There are just way too many positive things I can't wait to share! 1) Well first off, I'd like to point out that I have never been so relieved before in my life. I know I have found the perfect groomer for my little 5 year-old Bichon/Poodle mix (Henny). I LOVE One Stop. I mean Dave and Sarah are some of the most wonderful people! They are very accommodating, friendly, and most importantly Sarah is like THE MASTER GROOMER. She is so good! 2) Henny is only 5 year-old (I think still quite young) but he has TONS of problems in terms of his health. He has back problems, leg problems, hernia, you name it. Sarah is very gentle and she always make sure that Henny is never uncomfortable during the grooming session. 3) I am one of those crazy pet owners where I find the best of the best things for my doggie and after having been through probably 30 groomers in the entire San Diego County (La jolla, North Park, South Park, Hillcrest, Del Mar, Carlsbad etc..) I was never happy with the grooming services that these places provided. Henny always came home exhausted, stressed out. He would get major diarrhea and I know him, I can see that he has been through alot. I have even found a cut on his lower stomach area after a grooming session. I became so paranoid that I would start to research online for hours and watch Youtube videos to try to groom him myself, but I'm not a professional and I don't have the right tools so of course Henny never really turns out that well when I do it myself but I'd rather do that then take him a groomer. I was soo relieved when I found One Stop and now I know I will never go to another groomer. We are moving soon out of San Diego but since Sarah is so wonderful and the appointments are 6 weeks apart, my bf and I will still make the drive down to SD for Henny to be groomed by her. 4) Another positive thing about One stop is they are a mobile pet grooming service. Which means for you pet owners, your doggies and kitties DON"T HAVE TO WAIT HOURS in the kennel at those stupid grooming salons. Sarah and Dave usually call 20 minutes ahead before scheduled appointment to notify you that they are en route and the grooming session takes less than an hour and Henny is not trapped in a dirty cage for hours. 5) Here's the run down: a. You call them up and make an appointment, they are quite popular and busy so the next available appointment might be a little while (BUT ITS WORTH IT TRUST ME)! b. Once you get your appointment down, you're good to go. One day before the grooming appointment, Dave (who is awesome and wonderful), calls you to remind you of the appointment. c. The day of the appointment, Dave or Sarah, whoever your groomer is, will call you about 20 minutes ahead of time to let you know they're on their way. d. The pet grooming truck is not too big, it can fit in a regular parking lot, and they are always very accommodating so they will park or move wherever if you live in a complex that has crazy parking restrictions. e. Then you bring your furry friend out, make sure to give detailed instructions on what you want done and they will let you know how long approximately it will take for the grooming session based on how big your furry friend is. (The grooming package usually includes Wash, Cut, Ear Cleaning, Anal Gland Cleaning, Teeth brushing) f. Once done, See the transformations yourself. It's amazing. Sarah is seriously the best groomer. Then they will ask if you would like to get on their 6 week system (AND YOU SAY YES!). To conclude my super crazy long review, I just want you reviewers to be open-minded to mobile pet grooming. It's seriously super wonderful. My little Henny is not-stressed, and he no longer gets diarrhea after grooming. He is so happy and looks better than ever. The best you can get. They trimmed our Rottweiler's nails......this has NEVER been done without sedation prior to this. SO awesome! Both of our large dogs, Moose and Bodhi, always come out of the van calm and clean and beautiful. Sarah and Dave are great at what they do and are great people. They are accommodating and helpful with tips for the dogs. Bodhi and Moose were skunked and Sarah gave us the mixture ingredients and instructions on how to shampoo the two as it was late evening and after One Stop's business hours. We had One Stop Mobile Pet Grooming come to our house to groom both of our small dogs a few days ago. Sarah was great, very friendly and the dogs took to her immediately. Both dogs ended up with great haircuts and they smelled amazing, too! It only took about an hour per dog and the truck came on time. First time clients get 25% off, so our total cost came to $57 per dog, plus tip. A little more pricey than our usual grooming place, but it saved us in time and convenience, and the dogs definitely preferred it. Hi. I brought my little one, a scared rescue named Jaimie to O.S.M.P.G. She went in terrified and stinky and came out 40 min later smelling like a sweet peach and very relaxed. The groomer (female-forgot her name, sorry) was so loving toward my dog and really sensed her fear. Her mobile van was parked directly out front of the Gaines St. Humane Society for a recent event.
