We've used Pupper Club for boarding several times since adopting our dog, Finn, last year. Most recently we boarded him for 2 weeks while traveling overseas. We look forward to the multiple texts each day with photo updates when Finn is boarding at Pupper Club. The frequent communication gives us peace of mind and helps alleviate any guilt about leaving him, when we see photos of all the fun he is having playing with the other pups! The staff has all been very kind and everyone who works there seems to genuinely love dogs. During a one stay, Finn was a little under the weather and the owner, Eileen, reached out directly to communicate with us about it and followed up repeatedly after Finn was home to make sure he was feeling better. It turned out to be a very minor issue, but I was impressed by the way Eileen & her team handled it. From quickly identifying that Finn was a little off, to promptly informing me about the concern- the experience gave me even more confidence in the level of care & professionalism provided by Pupper Club. But, the best testimonial comes from Finn himself. He was a little nervous & hesitant the first time we went to Pupper Club. Now, he gets so excited to go there he pretty much drags me through their doors! He can't wait to play with all his friends!

The staff seems to really engage with the guests. They constantly sent pictures of our guy playing, eating, and napping so we could see that he was having a great time. He normally has a bit of anxiety with separation, but he was so busy, I don't think it mattered. They even gave him a bacon flavored pup cup today, which he loved. They are laid back and very easy to work with. It's not in a lovely part of San Diego, but it's not a problem picking up and dropping off. They'll even do curbside if parking is a challenge.

Pupper Club was AMAZING to work with and all were very communicative, accommodating, and understanding. We boarded our pup for a little over 24 hours, and they sent lots of updates and pics of her playing. They were also very accommodating when we had to pick her up a little later than expected. We are so grateful to Pupper Club for putting my anxieties and questions at rest!

Great experience! Just moved here from CO and my pup Marcy and I were feeling pretty rough around the edges. Everyone at The Pupper Club was so kind and welcoming and got Marcy in the next day. I asked the groomer to do what she needed to and that I trusted her judgment, and I'm so glad I did. Marcy looks amazing! Absolutely favorite cut I've gotten for her in the entire time I've had her. They sent us off with some "real food" dog food, feeling, and looking great, not to mention such fair rates and pricing considering how matted Marcy was getting. Felt so taken care of by our new friends over at the Pupper Club!

We were introduced to the Pupper Club because we live in the apartment building above it. They gave us a few free daycare days to try it out, that I figured I'd take advantage of. At the time, our puppy was scared of other dogs (when we'd go to a dog park, she would run and hide under a bench or behind me). At first, she would pull away from going inside, but after just a few visits, she pulls towards the Pupper club! In fact, when we go out for walks, she tries to pull the direction to go to daycare! When we drop her off at the Pupper Club, she is immediately excited to see the staff and other dogs, and doesn't even look back at us anymore. Some single daycare days, she even wants to go back inside when we pick her up! She now loves playing with the other dogs, which is great because she has so much energy! When we are out on a walk or in the building and see the staff with other dogs from the club, she gets super excited to see them. This is how I know she is in good hands and treated well when we leave her at the Pupper Club. We have used them for daycare and boarding and it's really nice that they offer cage free boarding. I was afraid to leave our puppy the first time and worried about her being crated with a lot of other barking dogs. This isn't the case at all at the Pupper club. She has free roam, just like at home. They have two dogs parks (one for smaller and one for larger dogs). They also offer grooming services, which we have only had a nail clipping so far, but have heard good things about grooming as well. The place looks clean, especially the all white lobby when you walk in. It seems like they have a good system in place for keeping track of the dogs and their things as well. They offer packages for daycare and boarding and are very reasonably priced too. They offer pickup and drop off services for people who live in the building, which I am planning to try soon. They require a meet and greet to make sure your pup is ok with other dogs and also have certain vaccines, which I appreciate for the health and safety of our pup! They sent me a message that some vaccines were coming due a few days before a boarding stay we had booked and although we were on top of the vaccines, I was very grateful that the Pupper Club was too! The staff is friendly and I can tell love our pup. They text updates with photos, usually multiple times per day, and post stories on Instagram so I can see our pup is doing well and having fun. We're so glad we found the Pupper Club as we don't have family in the area to watch our pup when we go away. Definitely recommend for daycare and boarding services.

Not me at our first Yelp Elite Event!! I was so graciously accepted to be able to attend the Pupper Club Happy Hour with my wee fur- niece, Lola! We took the trolley from Old Town as the Pupper Club is located in the downtown area, right by Petco Park. After a little walk around the building- the directions were wonky, we finally made it! The space is beautiful, clean and obvi very dog friendly. Upon being greeted, we were checked in and given a tour of the space. A doggy okay area, a grooming area, and a whole day care section! If you live in the Downtown San Diego area, this is the perfect solution to your pet doggy needs! Lola made tons of new friends and I got to experience the Yelp community, what a perfect Friday afternoon!

I was so nervous about leaving my dog for overnight boarding, but the team at Pupper Club made me feel completely at ease. They sent me pictures of Enzo, and I could see him gradually warming up and becoming more social. Now, I take him to daycare more to play with other dogs, and it's really boosted his confidence. Naturally, we wanted to try out their other services, so we had him groomed there for the first time--and my husband and I couldn't be happier! He looks amazing! I can't say enough good things about the team and how happy they've made both Enzo and us!

My dog had a blast on her first day at doggy day care and slept so hard through the night! I love that Matthew sent pics throughout the day and updated me on how my Millie Jo was doing and interacting with the other dogs. Highly recommend!

Prime is due for his bi-monthly bath and since we were gonna be in this area (and he hasn't had professional grooming for months) I thought about trying a new place that would accommodate him. I also needed to find one closest to our hotel. At less than 2 miles away, The Pupper Club was perfect, so I didn't hesitate to make an appointment immediately. That process was easy - just send a scanned copy of Prime's current vaxxies and good to go! As with any dog parent, there's that level of anxiety you get when dropping off your pup to complete strangers and surroundings, and I'll admit I had mine. Even more so since I don't live anywhere around here. But my instincts were giving me an OK sign, so I went with it. It was tough to find it at first, so I had to call and make sure I was at the right spot. Eileen spotted me immediately from across the way and said I was where I needed to be (they didn't have signage because they're at a temporary space while finishing their more permanent digs just a few yards away.) Security of the building was okay with me parking if I'm just dropping the dog off, so off we went. Ohhhh, Prime was not a happy pup because he probably felt like he was about to be abandoned forever (see his drama queen picture looking out the window when I left him.) Eileen placed him in their doggy waiting area, stayed and tried to play with him as I left. Prime, of course, kept his distance. I'll admit anxiety crept up again once I drove away. Done in a little over an hour and I was called to say he will be ready in about 10 minutes. I was about done with errands and was back on my way. My first reaction to Prime's appearance as soon as I see him was nothing short of mind-blowing: PRIME. LOOKED. STUNNING! He has never looked this good except for when he was still a puppy! (No offense to his last groomer, but Eileen did a better job!) First thing Eileen said, "Oh, we're friends now." And that he was really calm and good once they built rapport. Did I mention it's 20% off since it's his first grooming service? The only thing I'm irked about is that I live so far away! WWWHHHHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?! (They do have a location in Los Angeles, but how is it that I'd rather drive all the way to SD...?! HAHAH!) Deserving of 10 stars, if that was an option. Thank you, Eileen! You are a champion at your craft and the next time we are down south, Prime and I shall be seeing you again!

Diesel at the park down the street from the pupper club!

I recently returned from a two week overseas trip and my dog had a very bad scratch on his cornea. By Diane's own admission she had seen him with this for "four or five days" - (I have this documented in email) When I picked my dog up he was clearly in pain and not even able to open his eye. I am always only an email away and Diane always had my permission to take my dog to the vet even if it's a wasted visit. Because she didn't, the eye got infected and he had no sight for nearly two weeks. It's now been almost a month and the damage was so severe, he's still on antibiotics. The vet said this must have been extremely painful for him. What dog person does this to an animal?? The first thing the vet did was give him a shot for he pain. When I asked Diane about why she waited she became immediately defensive and said my dog was no longer welcome there. This was fine, I would never entrust someone so careless with my dog again. This dog caregiver is burned out. Some weeks prior I caught her shoving dogs in her car, fully impatient and saying: "I wish I didn't have to do this f--g job." I get it. Many people have gotten into jobs they hate, or had a job burn them out. The thing is know when to get out. I would think twice before leaving my dog here. I have pictures of this eye injury which I will try to post with this review. Anyone wishing to see these can contact me privately. EDITED post the response from the caregiver. I feel that a good caregiver would KNOW when a dog was injured. If you've ever had a cornea scratch, you know how painful that can be. She also said that she didn't notice the eye was red, but it was very blood red when I picked him up. She did tell me I could no longer bring my dog there, but I had not asked her for future care. When I confronted her on the eye issue, her response was "your dog is no longer welcome here." I have emails verifying this conversation. Good luck, if you decide to use her.
