What an incredible experience! While traveling through Douglas City we reached out to Nancy, who own's and operates One Thing Ranch, to see if we could come by and see her animals. She was very accommodating and we were able to visit with, pet and feed her beautiful llamas and alpacas later that day. They are curious and incredibly cute creatures. Beetle Juice the Alpaca was my favorite. Such beautiful markings. Nancy is extremely knowledgeable regarding everything llama and alpaca. She even showed us how she uses the sheered fur to create thread/garments. You can tell she cares deeply for all of her animals and it's so wonderful that she takes the time to educate tourists and the local community. read more

I'm a student in Mrs. Berry's class and she gave us a llama kiss soap and I thought it was so cute. It smells very nice and is a great gift!

This is good soap i Thought at first it was a chocolate with the kiss chocolate paper thing and took a bite out of it. It tasted nice

While spending time family in Lewiston, CA we stopped at the "Lewiston Fleece Dept" to see the Llamas and Alpacas. They suggested stopping by One Thing Ranch to see the male Alpacas but my grandsons were so enthralled with the females that we visited with them. We started in November 2018 with our first alpacas and llamas, following over a decade of research, waiting until we had just the right property to start our dream.

Meet the Business Owner: Nancy A.

I am a retired teacher, but also work part time for the Forest Service. I have dreamed of having a Ranch with alpacas and llamas for years, and after moving to Trinity County in 2016, it has finally become a reality.
