Unbelievable. One Truth Tattoo is a shop that you should not ever pass up if you're thinking of getting some ink. The shop is small, but clean, friendly and welcoming. The music is nothing crazy like in some shops, it's all welcoming and inviting. If you don't like the music they play, it's probably because you just don't have any taste. The artists are the best part, but that should be a given in any shop. A shop can look perfect, sound perfect, and appear perfect, but that doesn't matter if the artists aren't at that level with everything else. That isn't a problem here. Matt (Clown2076 on instagram) was the artist for my piece, and he delivered the perfect piece in a day of planning. I went in Saturday night an hour before they closed to just discuss my idea with him, and got it done Monday when I got off of work. He takes pride in his work, and makes sure you love everything before he even touches you with the needle. It's not my first visit to the shop, but it's my first piece from them. I've been there a few times while friends got their tattoos done, and I've been impressed every time. I find myself getting there pretty early, and staying there pretty long after we get finished because the staff are just so nice to be around. It's not awkward, they talk, they joke, they laugh, they sing. It's obvious they're a big family. If you need a piercing, Kim is great. She's super sweet and nice, and thorough. They all give each other input on whether certain ideas for a tattoo are good, or need to be fleshed out more, so you really know you're getting a good piece. Matt and I were wondering if my tattoo was truly finished or if we wanted smaller details, but Gordo told us no and that it was perfect, and I definitely agreed. It's definitely my go-to shop, and I'll definitely be getting a lot more ink from them. If you're thinking of passing them up and going somewhere else, just don't. I recently got my 5th tattoo from One Truth. Darlene has done all 5 of them for me. Whenever I communicate to her my ideas via email, she responds quickly and always asks questions to get a better idea of what I want and asks about size and location. She gives a price estimate and plenty of time for you to make changes to the design prior to your appointment. The day of the appointment, she confirms the design, size and placement prior to beginning tattooing. Although these things seem standard procedures in most tattoo places, the thing I appreciate the most about Darlene is how she also provides an estimate time of completion, let's you know what you can expect throughout the procedure and makes it a point to ask if you need a break. As you can see, my tattoo of the jellyfish is very intricate and colorful and at each step of the way, Darlene ensured it was done with precision, patience, and cleanliness. She also has a sense of courtesy and asked if I needed a blanket to cover myself as my legs were very exposed and it was a bit chilly that day. At the end, she has you look in the mirror and let her know if you want anything else and goes over after care procedures, which is the most important part of getting a tattoo. My 3 pictures show the first week of my tattoo healing. I followed Darlene's instructions and my tattoo looks great! i went in about a month ago to get my eyebrow piercing taken out. the male piercer (never caught his name) walked in from smoking outside with the shop's bird on his shoulder and he put it down and let it walk around on things though which is kinda crazy. he smelled of weed and took a condescending tone throughout. when asking what i used to clean it with i said the saline spray that my piercer gave me and he said you don't want to use that, they got chemicals in them you can't pronounce... water and sodium chloride... water and salt..?? anyways when he asked to take a closer look, he snapped and said "can you just move your hair?! i'm sorry im sorry for snapping" ......... i should have walked out then but i followed through with getting it taken out for a $20(!) service charge. he took it out pretty roughly and i ended up bleeding and he gave me nothing to clean it with. i left feeling frustrated and i could have taken it out at home for $20 cheaper and without the blood and bad experience. i gave an extra star because the tattoo artists in the shop were welcoming, i think it was darlene and alex, but the experience in general was negative. listen to sarah k in the 1 star reviews. read more

Super last minute piercings I got done a couple of weeks ago, they are healing well NOW. The person who pierced me was very nice. But I was pierced with the completely WRONG jewelry. I got lobe piercings with butterfly backed earrings. That simply isn't the best option to pierce with since it doesn't allow room for swelling AT ALL. I have most of my ears pierced so butterfly backings are not smart to initially pierce with and on top of it they were put in SUPER TIGHT! They weren't healing, so I had to switch them out to flat backed earrings and fortunately they healed up nicely! So fortunately I saved them. Brought in my 18 month daughter to get her ears pierced. Obviously needle is a better way to go than the piercing gun but she is so small and I was nervous. Ryan was amazing! He was very good with the baby. The shop was clean, everyone was nice and understanding that there is a toddler who was not happy about being poked with a needle.
