My son threw a watermelon rind in the toilet (unknown to us at the time). Initial treatment was to snake the main drain line from cleanout ($195). That didn't work. Additional charge to remove the toilet, flush out/snake the toilet, and put the toilet back ($250). That's when the technician found the watermelon rind. He told us there was something else in the toilet and we needed to replace it. (This was a misdiagnosis, because we broke it apart after the fact and there was NOTHING clogging the toilet after he cleared it the first time.) Instead of putting the old toilet back, we purchased a new toilet at the recommendation of the technician. Just to put a new, customer supplied, clean toilet in the place of the old toilet (which was already removed!) - $375 additional. The technician was friendly, clean, and easy to work with. But I'd rather have a jerk that will charge fair prices and still does the job correctly. I'm the idiot that signed the check for the outrageous prices they charged, but when you have a three year old pooping in a bucket, you do what you have to do. Unfortunately they realize the predicament you're in and charge accordingly. I will not be making the same mistake again with this company. If you do use them, do your due diligence on the work they propose. A $375 charge for a misdiagnosis is ridiculous. And I bought a $180 toilet on top of that when it was completely unnecessary. Even when there is a disagreement on some aspect of the job we have reached a compromise that is fair and equitable. Ask the Plummer if we could crack it open to see what was the problem he was a little hesitant but eventually let us. There was nothing in the toilet. Don't use. My husband and I have used this company several times when our drains get backed up, or shower tabs need to be changed out. Here's why they are given five stars: They answer the phone! They can usually get someone out to our house within hours of our phone call. The work is done well, and they clean up after themselves. And I don't feel gouged by the price. The bill always seems fair to me. One visit was for our water heater. We thought we might need to replace it. Instead, this company's employee said they could get a part for the tank, which would be a lot cheaper. He also assessed that this water heater still looked to be in pretty good shape and would likely work for several more years. The company has integrity. Jess (technician) was punctual and knowledgeable about the issue and proceeded to provide an accurate assessement as well provided additional suggestions to prevent future issues. I had a new vinyl floor installed in my bathroom. The men who did the work said that they could not replace the toilet because the closet ring was worn out. They gave me the name of a plumbing company that could install a new closet ring and install the toilet. I called the company and they said that it would cost between $300-$325.. Not knowing if this was a fair price, I wanted to get another bid. I had heard that there was a Christian plumbing company called One Way Plumbing, so I looked at their web page, where the owner claimed to be a Christian. I called them up and they estimated the cost at between $275-$300.. They did inform me that they wound need to have someone come out to look at the job so that they could give me the actual cost for the work. They said that the estimate would be free. That sounded great to me so I set up an appointment for a plumber to come to my home for the free estimate.When the plumber arrived I took him to the bathroom that needed the work done. He told me that the flooring should not have been completed before the new closet ring was installed. He was critical of the flooring installers for not waiting to stall the new floor until after the closet ring was replaced. He now claimed that he would have to cut away some of the vinyl and chip concrete out in order to remove the old closet ring and install the new one. Just a note, I did look at videos for closet ring installations prior to the plumber coming over. After viewing the video I knew what the process was to complete the job, which did not include chipping concrete out before installing the new part. As he was explaining the time and difficulty involved in the work that he said would be necessary, I knew that he was building up a case for an expensive job. This became quite evident when he told me that he would need $400.00 to remove and replace the closet ring and put the toilet in. When I informed him that the company representative that I had spoken to on the telephone said that the job would probably be between $275-$300, he said that they never give out prices on the phone. I informed him that I had another estimate for around $300.00 from another company. In conclusion, The other company did a great job in a an hour and a half an charged me $188.00. They did not cut out concrete or the new flooring material. My advice: Stay away from this company, even if they say that they are Christians. read more

We have had problems with our plumbing since we purchased our 1961 home in 2000 and had a plumbing company (recommended by our realtor) replace a portion of the pipes (for a hefty price) due to a terrible root issue. We were okay for a few years but then the problem returned & we thought it was just clogging from regular usage. After several years of clogging, we found One Way Rooter from a friend and called them every time our pipes clogged and each time they showed up the same day, took care of our issue quickly, and at a reasonable price. Also, every time we called, they got us up & running but ALWAYS recommended we set up a time for a thorough check of our system (with the camera) but we thought we were okay because of the major plumbing work done several years before. After a few too many emergency calls, we finally had them fully inspect our system to find out that the first plumbing company used the wrong materials. Our pipes were SO damaged, they looked like they had been in war! One Way Rooter took the time to show us all the damage & explained (in laymen's terms) why the wrong materials caused so many problems (and never fixed our issue). After they replaced the pipes with the correct materials AT A LOWER PRICE than the original company, our plumbing works better than EVER! Our system smelled up our garage (even after the pipes were replaced the first time) and we thought that it was just normal for our house (even though we hated it). Since One Way installed the correct piping, the smell is COMPLETELY GONE!! That smell was in our garage on & off for over 16 years!! We are so grateful to One Way Rooter & Plumbing. Our only regret is that we procrastinated and didn't have them do a thorough inspection sooner (like they recommended). Thank you Tom and One Way Plumbing for having polite/kind employees and for being knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly efficient! One Way Rooter exceeded my expectations! its not very often i write a review (in fact this is the first i wrote)but due to the fact that i woke up in the morning and a huge flood of water hit my head as i was using my household facilities i'm sure i wasn't the peachiest of a person to speak to in the morning. roger from one way rooter assured me that they would be out there and fix it so i could go on with my day.
