Wendy is the best! Scheduled and appointment to review auto loan rates and to get a second opinion on a buyout quote from the dealer and was not disappointed. To explain, a few days ago I had gone to the dealer to review my options on my auto lease, and was quoted a number that was strangely high. Called in to my loan servicer and was given a more reasonable number. Turns out the dealer was marking up the purchase quite a bit. After deciding not to buy the vehicle with the dealer and deal with the banks directly I started shopping around for auto loans. I went to my main banks and was quoted a higher interest than what I was expecting. I had always heard credit unions were the best places to administer loans due to their focus on member needs and competitive rates, which is when i decided to make an appointment at my local Credit Union and where i met Wendy. Wendy took the time to explain the buyout process to me and made the every effort to make me feel comfortable and made sure i had all the information i needed to make an informed decision. She went above and beyond to the point that we managed to get everything settled within about an hour time from start to finish. Highly recommend others to visit your local credit union especially OneAZ. you won't be disappointed with the knowledge of the individuals and professionalism. Although many day-to-day transactions are okay, OneAZ Credit Union is highly flawed. Most recently, I've had yet another (I've lost count of how many) unacceptable snafu with One AZ CU. And, this one is likely going to be the last for us. Banks and credit unions supposedly provide a service. I wonder if anyone in this organization every pondered what it means to provide a service? At this point, I think the people who run and work at OAZCU, think their customers are there to service the credit union. Sorry folks, you are supposed to provide a service and you don't do a very good job of it. My 26 years with OAZCU is about to come to an end as I have to go through the agonizing process of changing all of my auto deposits and payments, but it may be worth it if I can actually get service. Because of privacy issues, I don't really want to provide details to the public, but their actions show absolutely no humanity or consideration for the welfare for those who are unable to participate in the everyday tasks most of us can manage. And, this one action is the worst of a long list awful actions and ridiculous policies they've dreamed up to make handling our own money difficult. read more

This is my only negative Yelp review ever, and I'm only doing so as I've exhausted all direct customer service and manager options with this business. I'm a 20+ year loyal credit union member in good standing with excellent credit. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend them and am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere. Last month I received a Form Letter that my Visa CC would be cancelled due to lack of activity, stating a phone # to call if wanting to keep it active. No courtesy phone call from One AZ to me about this adverse (credit score) action. So fortunately I received and read the letter and immediately called. I was advised that I only needed to make a transaction before Exp date end of Oct. Also advised my account was noted to maintain my active card status. The next day I filled my tank with $50+ charge. I then, as always, paid it off to maintain zero balance. And yet, my card was still cancelled with no explanation. And, again, not even a courtesy phone call. So I called & very nicely requested reactivation as I was promised. My first rep was very nice but didn't have authority to approve so she escalated my request to the supervisor -- who also didn't have authority to approve. Eventually I was escalated to management. That manager, who also didn't provide a courtesy call/conversation, had the prior supervisor call me back and advise that my best (& only) option was to instead get a new One AZ account/card (which adversely impacts credit score), at higher limit than my prior limit, per my good-standing, because my long-term account/card could not be reactivated. This is unacceptable customer service at all levels. In contrast to my many years as a Yelp positive-reviewer (as big believer in promoting hard-working businesses and employees deserving of recognition and support), this business must do better or it's not worth investing your time, money, nor valuable business. read more

I've banked with OneAZ Credit Union on Southern in Tempe for about a year and every part of my experience has been positive. Today's drop-in to the credit union got me an excellent experience with the bank's assistant manager, who was helping out the tellers. When I deposit my check via their mobile app, it sails through. And when I log in to my online account, I can find everything quickly - the interface is very user friendly. I pay a monthly service fee, but it's worth it. I have a free account at another credit union (Desert Financial) that I'm canceling soon because, even though their monthly checking fee is zero, so is their customer service: a big zero. OneAZ gets many big kudos from me. read more

Every time I come to this branch over the past two years, I have to wait somewhere between Thirty minutes to an hour. My daughter went in to sign up and an hour later she still was not waited on. She ended up going to another credit union. There's only one teller, and when I went the last time he was at lunch(2pm), and the assistant manager was the only one working. I was just going to go to the bank right now and wondering how long I was going to have to wait this time, am I going to have enough time to stop in on my way to another stop today? . I think it's time for me to get a new Credit Union. read more

I ordered new checks from a teller the end of May they arrived end of last week so I thought. I went in yesterday to pick them up and the teller had them delivered to 19th Ave and Happy Valley... not Tempe. I had to have the checks today and had to drive during rush hour up to get them, not a single ounce of remorse or offer to help me in anyway. Called for help, they were useless. This is the third time I have called in to them and have been told the same thing. They still not correct my account. They still have me locked out of my account. Always with the same excuse, they are having difficulty with their system. I have already changed banks, minimized my account to less than $30 but cannot ever get this account closed because they cannot seem to get me back into their system. I would run to another credit union if I could. This has been the worst experience ever. read more

This place is terrible they do not specify the terms at all of their 300$ bonus. I am very unsatisfied with the way I was told I didn't "meet" the qualifications. I signed up and let the lady know how much I would be depositing into account and she said it was fine let it happen for 3 months and your good. I left a good review and everything only to find out I wasn't going to be good and now I will not be getting the 300$ bonus. The manager of this establishment will do nothing about it and deciding to call me at work and when I said if she could call me later she had to get her point across and get me into a full on argument while I have customers needing me. I am a 19'year old college student if I was told 1000 dollars needed to be direct deposited I would of walked my happy ass to a way better bank. I will be closing my account I do not recommend this bank. Their online banking sucks and they have token countless extra money from me because of how long their payments take to go through after using my debit card for anything. read more
