My company has been business clients of MidFirst Bank for over 4 years. They recently tried to pull shenanigans. Our bookkeeper wants us to pull a report for the past year of banking transactions. I went to login using the same login we've had since we opened the account. It turns out that MidFirst DISABLED our login to our own account. We cannot access our business records or banking. I called their commercial customer support. They were closed. I called the next day, they said they are unable to restore online access unless someone comes in person to their branch. This is horribly inconvenient to me, since I live on the other side of the country now. We are unable to perform our tax accounting, or access our records because MidFirst DISABLED out login with NO WARNING, and refuses to restore our access. read more

I have been a Midfirst customer for over a decade. I recently had a problem with my account and called the branch on a Monday. I had to call several times because the phone rang for quite some time and would go to voicemail. When someone finally answered, they were unable to help me. They said the branch manager Ann Marie would call me. I stressed the importance of the situation and requested a call that day. No call Monday, no call Tuesday. Wednesday I traveled to the branch but again, no one could help me. Again I was told I would get a call before the end of the day. No such luck. Finally on Thursday afternoon Ann Marie did give me a call back and was less than helpful. So, I closed the account on Friday. There are plenty of banks with quality service, No need to put with bad service. read more

Very unprofessional. I could write a few paragraphs about how negative this whole process was. Ultimately, I did not like the online platform for business banking and decided to take my business account elsewhere. Once I (kindly) communicated this with the person who helped me open the account, he flipped a switch and was so incredibly rude to me. I've never been ghosted in emails by a professional like this--but that happened here. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Understaffed. This is a shell of the bank it used to be. As I sat down there are confidential copies of some customer drivers license and information was left out on the desk. They have forgotten to order checks. ATMs now have fees and MidFirst has NO ATMs. Account service fees. Be careful how your account is classified. read more

Was looking for a new bank that is available everyday and closes later than all the other banks. Came across Midfirst which is an Oklahoma base company. They branched out to Arizona. They have opened many locations within Arizona. This bank is open 7 days a week M-F til 7pm and Saturday til 2 and Sunday I forgot but they do close early on Sunday. Each branch is very clean and open floor plan when you walk in and a nice seating area in the center of the room. Well depends on which location you go to. Best part about this place is that you can use their atm cards at ANY atm and are charged ZERO FEES. It will show on your account initially, but after it officially goes through the fee is taken out. They have recently partnered with ASU and have some cool ASU card designs. One is all black with the fork logo embossed, pretty cool. When you get any of the ASU cards a portion of your purchases goes to the school. So overall I really like this bank. read more

After being burned by Wells Fargo's inability to process my small business' PPP application, I decided it was time to take my business to a local bank. I scheduled a meeting with the assistant manager Jake Suggs. When I arrived at the meeting, Jake was unprepared and seemed as if he didn't know he had a meeting with me. Had he done his research, he may have know that I own a very successful business. Jake fumbled through the meeting. Jake asked what size of balance I was thinking of transferring, after I told him the amount (which was sizable), I thought he would be more accommodating. Jake was anything but, he took two weeks to get back to me, didn't call me on a day he said he would, and used the excuse that he was busy. Jake, I'm sorry, but all business owners are busy. This is the absolute worst excuse you could use. No chance I would give my business to this branch or Jake Suggs. read more

DO NOT BANK WITH MIDFIRST IF YOU'RE A STUDENT! And, probably in any other situation. I had stopped using my account with them a couple months ago, and accidentally forgot to switch an automatic payment that was coming out, which over-drafted my account $9. I was never notified in any way that my account was over-drafted. Now, a couple weeks later, I owe them over $55 in overdrafts! This is a STUDENT account. Any other bank would have helped me out with this. I've had several other student accounts with other banks. Save yourself the grief of outlandish charges that you are not informed about and go to ANY other bank. I want to note that this is not a reflection on any particular branch, it's the bank itself. They do have very nice employees. read more

Walked in to re-open my daughters account. We're told "a banker will have to do that please have a seat it'll be a bout 10-20 minutes. 2 hours later -after watching said banker shake hands and introduce himself to each and every customer he helped (all men btw) said banker walked up to my daughter and I and stated "I'm going to be another hour and a half" never looked at either of us didn't introduce himself, just bent over and picked up a wrapper off the ground and walked away. He clearly wanted us to leave. And didn't care that we had already waited or Even if we were going to continue to wait. I would never bank here. This is a question of character. How you treat someone that can do nothing for you. Clearly this banker doesn't care about just some account. Is that how the company as a whole feels? Terrible read more

What a great surprise stumbling across this bank! Open 7 days a week with lobby service I have banked with the Mega Uber Banks and have been nickeled and dimed (literally) with service fees. I opened both a savings and checking account here. Since my company does not offer direct deposit the associate told me I would have to have a traditional checking account with service fees. I'm thinking - here we go again. But it was one of those think on your feet moments. Off they went (I'll assume to get approval). They let me open up a type of checking account that only charges you for check printing - No other fees and pays interest. In fact, if you use a non-MidFirst Bank ATM, they will refund you the service fees. How refreshing with the current state of banking. read more

If any MidFirst employee reads these, is there a way to make a formal complaint? I used to love MidFirst and would always talk it up. Unfortunately an incident last year caused me to close 3 of my accounts there (just left a small checking). I had suggested to my girlfriend to open an account as she goes to school in Massachusetts and is always having to deal with ATM fees since there are no Wells Fargos in that state. This was mainly spurred on because of the promotion that they run for referring people. We sat down with Adam at the Elliot location and immediately were put off by some use of the word "dyke" and how he seemed to not at all know what he was doing (The process took way over an hour when it shouldn't be more than 30 minutes). He pushed a savings account on her that she did not want but he made it sound completely free. This account ended up having fees and requirements he neglected to mention. In the next month or two there were fees that he did not mention and there was the issue of her or I not receiving the bonus referral. This confused us and she called the bank. The manager said that Spotify and Hulu do not count for the recurring charge to qualify (Adam had explicitly told us the opposite). He was 100% unwilling to help fix his employee's mistake. At this point, I am upset and decide to try to speak to him after dropping by a deposit (She was in MA). He was busy and I waited for a bit and eventually left a note for the teller to give him to call me (at her suggestion). No call ever came whatsoever. Honestly it was deceitful and fraudulent what Adam did and I am amazed that the manager did not listen at all. I did not want to make a big deal in person as I know people that work there. read more

Midfirst Bank is for a higher class level of customer, and it must be understood that they are looking for a customer that is going to have some turnover. if you are expecting just to throw some money in an account and forget about it, you will, in return, be charged an upkeep fee on that account. If you use your Midfirst account every day as a Checking Account, then it is quite simple to keep the fees down, or even remove them entirely. That said, this location is awesome, I've never had a problem coming in here and depositing checks or cash. The style of the place is very artistic, and it's worth stopping in to talk to a representative just to admire the architecture. read more

You missed out mid first. I went there to cash 2 checks that were drawn off of Mid First. I don't have an Acct there but I do with a credit union that has closed most of there locations so I decided to just go to Mid First and have been thinking of opening a savings somewhere other than the credit union. So apparently it cost $7.50 per check to cash.. ok fine I get it.. it is a little steep though. But as I sat there for at lest 15 min I thought, why wouldn't they have taken that opportunity to see if I wanted to open an account.. to be honest I totally would of. But hey were to busy taking my 15 bucks to cash 2 checks totaling $400. Guess I'll take my money down the street and open an account with some one that wants my business. read more

Just got married and set us up for a joint account, all completely free with automatic deposit setup and a free savings account. very courteous employees. The FREE ATM usage is a plus, and there security is superb. They take everything seriously that seems out of the norm, so dont be worried if you get a call from them if you purchase 1000lbs of animal lard in kansas. read more

I am in the process of switching banks, from my bank that I have banked with for over 20 years to Midfirst. I won't name the bank but they were opening customer accounts without the customer's knowledge. So far I am very impressed by Midfirst and their employees. Unfortunate case of a bank that cannot (or does not want to) keep up with modern competition. I utilize MidFirst as a small checking option for gas and food among other small purchases I make. I thought the security of a MidFirst card would benefit my life, especially as it would reduce card exposure for my primary account. Wrong. No gasoline purchase can be completed at the pump. Specific restaurants will tell me my card is declined, even with more than sufficient balance. I've been locked out of the mobile app more than I have utilized it. Face ID wasn't implemented at the same time that other banks and credit unions. The ATM at this location has never allowed me to withdraw funds, much less deposit. This is not the Bank to enjoy modern luxuries, in all fairness this is a more traditional bank for a specific population that likes things the old fashioned way. Which is not a bad thing, but definitely not the bank, nor branch for me. read more

This bank is very inconvenient. There online banking is awkward, it took me two trips to the branch and two phone calls to set it up. Now I have been trying to access their bill pay online and the site has been unavailable for three day. Their security is too tight, making it inconvenient to log in, have to come up with new password every two month and need three of them to log in once. Their are way to happy to cancel your card when THEY suspect any unauthorized activity. My other account is with Chase and there is no comparison when it comes to online banking and customer service. read more

I love this bank (and this particular location.) They're always so helpful and professional and I've never had a problem with them unlike other banks I've dealt with. Hopefully I never do but I'm sure it'll be fine. They don't have crazy fees for anything and everything, and they don't charge for taking out of savings which I've needed to do for some situations. read more

Worst bank ever. I went in to cash a tenant rent check and they basically made me feel like I was thief. They did several checks, fingerprints and even called my tenant in the middle of his class and interrupted him to verify it was a good check. I can understand this if it was hundreds of thousands of dollars but for just over $1000 I cannot believe how much of a pain in the butt they were. I will never bank with them nor recommend them to any of my business associates. read more

He was knowledgeable, professional, personable, and was capable of answering a multitude of questions aside from the purpose of my visit. I was immediately reassured when my son and I were greeted by a friendly banking professional who asked how he could help us. We spoke for a few minutes while Logan was finishing up with another customer. We were offered refreshments and the different checking accounts were briefly described with an assurance that Logan would be able to better advise me on the best choice for my needs. I chose Midfirst because my son recommended it highly and a close personal friend works for the bank and he also highly recommended the bank. My very first visit to your branch office and the experience of that visit has convinced me that taking my personal business to you was the right decision for me. I will soon be needing banking services for my Nonprofit organization and I am convinced Midfirst will be the right choice for those needs as well.
