Gus was the MVP -- responsive, patient, and great at explaining things. Julie V. M. was hands-on the entire way, which says a lot about this team. Ask questions. Communicate. This is legal stuff -- they can't read minds, but they do listen. Fast, reliable, professional. Strong like an oak tree -- exactly who you want handling serious business. Highly recommend

My experience with this law firm was short, yet stressful. I'm a young girl with debt that I so…read moredesperately want to get out of. I found OakTree and decided to take the leap and book a consultation. I ended up getting connected with Gus Gomez whom I met with in person. I was told I'd be qualified and to start the filing process I had to pay a certain amount of money up front. I ended up paying the full amount for Chapter 7 bankruptcy ($1,923) to get the process started as quickly as possible. After that, I proceeded to submit my tax returns, bank statements, and pay stubs prior to booking my "1-Hour Intake" (that only lasted 20 minutes by the way) where Gus just ends up telling me that I'm no longer qualified for Chapter 7. He told me my only options were to wait 2-3 years to file Chapter 7, try for Chapter 13 and dish out another $2,000, or back out of the bankruptcy all together. I took a day to think about it, then reached out to Gus to let him know I wanted to back out (he told me if I backed out, I would be refunded my money) because they didn't get far into the process. Never heard from him again. Ignored my calls, texts, and emails. Had my boyfriend call him as a "potential client" and Gus answered his call. This a-hole was completely dodging me. Over a week later I finally ended up getting an email from Ed Pitts agreeing to issue me a partial refund of only $1,423, charging me $500 for a phone call that was performed by a Bankruptcy Department Manager (Gus), not even an attorney. Said his services are considered "administrative duties" and that $500 is their fee for those duties. They failed to be transparent about this "fee" in my consultation and contract. I will be seeking resolution through the State Bar's Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program and filing a State Bar complaint regarding the handling of my case and the supervision of non-attorney staff. Do not recommend this place, this was not a pleasant experience would give 0 stars if Yelp allowed it.

I signed up with Infinite Financial Firm Credit Doc to help remove several late payments from my…read morecredit report because I needed my credit fixed quickly in order to buy a house. From February 23 to April 21, I trusted the process and was very clear from the beginning that money was not the problem. I even told them I was willing to pay extra if they could work faster and actually get results. At first, they told me I did not need to pay off my credit cards or balances for the process to work. Later on, they changed their advice and told me that if I paid off the accounts, the disputes would move faster and have a better chance of success. I followed their recommendation and paid off the accounts hoping to finally see results, but even after doing that, I still did not receive any meaningful improvement. Instead of offering a faster or more effective solution, they placed me into a monthly payment program and kept telling me to wait. Communication was also very slow, especially from the owner, who would take a long time to respond to my messages and concerns. During the entire process, they claimed they filed disputes multiple times, but I never saw any positive results. In fact, my credit situation became worse instead of improving. After almost two months of waiting, I was eventually told that I should just cancel the service because they were not getting results.I feel disappointed because I spent time, money, and trusted their promises during an important time when I needed my credit fixed urgently. Based on my experience, there was a lack of urgency, communication, and effective dispute strategy. I would strongly recommend others ask for clear proof of work, realistic expectations, and actual progress before signing up.

Credit Repair Co, is simply the most amazing best experience I could've ever hoped for with a…read morespeedy and quick outcome, they actually made results happen automatically! I just wanted to let everyone know, that even though many websites say that hard credit inquiries only effects your credit score by only 10%, and that once an inquiry is more than one-year-old that effect is almost gone, as of course after two years they do automatically delete themselves. However, I have found that credit inquiries effect your credit much much more than that, actually it in many cases can easily prevent you from getting credit altogether when you have to many, or limiting your options for credit limit increases with existing creditors. The one thing I believe, it's important to create a level playing field, there are a bunch of companies that do a soft inquiry to offer you the a certain amount of credit and interest rate and terms to you first, before you except the offer and a hard inquiry is performed, there's also many creditors that perform a credit line increase just using a soft inquiry. However there are just as many if not more creditors that don't understand how they can can just do soft inquiries to do all these credit offerings, and not hurt and ding your credit score, it's actually something that is very disingenuous as creditors already use soft inquiries typically once or twice a year to review your report and to you also perhaps for a automatic increase. Credit inquiries start to have a negative effect on your score once you have more than two on any particular of the three credit bureau's, and it does drop your score a lot, a lot more than they say it does I have found to be the case. Also I find it aggravating that when you trying to shop around for credit and you don't like the term you were offered, or you got turned down, or you simply asked for a credit limit increase on existing account, almost every time, every one of those acts results in a hard credit pull inquiry on one of your reports typically. This is where credit Repair Co. comes in, they directly talk to you on the phone and you can text them after as well, you are able to get on the same page quickly, by them logging into your existing credit karma account you have for Transunion and Equifax, also if you have any other subscriptions to one of the Experian apps so they can get to that report as well, you can simply give them the login into it and they can identify all the inquiries on each of the three reports and basically get started on it immediately! To give you an example, I talked to Jeanette on a Thursday night, and all of my inquiries on my Experian report were deleted that Saturday morning, I do not know how they did it that quickly, but let me tell you that's what happened!! And for the Transunion and Equifax reports, again we talked together about it on Thursday and by the following Tuesday, all the inquiries were delete it off of those two reports!! So literally in five calendar days everything is gone and my credit scores shot up 53 points on Transunion, 46 points on Equifax, and 39 point on Experian. It's hard to compare the scores because the credit karma app uses a AvantageScore 3.0, and my Experian app uses the FICO 8.0. The bottom line is you can trust this company, they give you results lightning fast, you can get all hard inquiries removed easily as they got on there, you can also use the service for regular maintenance to keep your report healthy, clean and accurate!

Back in 1998, when I was trying to purchase a house, I needed help repairing and improving my credit. That's when I met an incredible team at Second Chance Financial -- John, Karen, and Wayne. From the very beginning, they treated me with kindness, honesty, professionalism, and genuine care. Thanks to their help and guidance, I was able to buy my home back in 1998. Now, 28 years later, I find myself reaching out to them again for assistance, and to my surprise and gratitude, Karen and Wayne are still there. That alone says so much about the dignity, integrity, and stability of this company. It shows not only how they value their clients, but also how they treat and respect their employees. What always made them different is that they never treated me like "just another client." Over the years, they would occasionally call simply to check on me and see how I was doing. That level of humanity and compassion is very rare today. If anyone needs honest and trustworthy help with their credit, I truly recommend Second Chance Financial. These are good people who genuinely care about helping others rebuild and move forward in life. Thank you, Karen. Thank you, Wayne. And may God bless the memory of John, who is no longer with us.
