One source is the most awesome Internet provider by far. If you like not having service 4 to 5 times daily for an hour at a time, and having tech support run you around for 45 min with a wild goose chase. Then having technicians come to your house and hook up to the service push a few buttons say your all good only to have the service go out again 10 minutes after they leave. And they will charge you outrageous cancellation fees if your unhappy and want out. So if your a complete moron you'll love this service. And the only reason it gets a star is because I have to pick 1 so I can post this to try and stop anyone else from getting suckered by the dollar store of Internet providers. read more

The worst. I am forced to use One Source because it is the ONLY option where I live. The internet is usually down and when it finally works, it is unbearably slow. The DVR box is huge, unsightly, and looks like it is from the 70s. The channel guide and menu is equally archaic. Navigating screens, recording shows, deleting recordings - it all takes forever. And to add insult to injury, I pay as much for it as I would for an updated, decent internet and cable provider. If you have any other option - use it! read more

We have been using OneSource since 2002 for internet and cable. I have never had any issues with their cable and on the odd occasion that our internet has gone down, OneSource has had a technician come to our property within a couple of hours to fix it. Who does that anymore? You can't even get the other guys to come to the phone in a 2 hour timeframe. We bought a HD Tivo and OneSource let me swap out my old cable box for a Mcard that supports HD TV at no charge. I have to say that I am very happy with OneSource and glad I didn't switch to Fios as now I would be getting Frontiered to death... read more

I recently helped a friend that is completely disabled move into an apartment. The only option she has for internet and telephone is One Source. They refused to provide service for her unless she physically appeared in person to prove her identity. (I have POA for her and have handled the entire moving process even signing the lease was over the internet - One Source is the only company I had an issue with.) I explained that she was living in an assisted living facility that was under lock down due to the "Stay home Orders" in response to Covid19 pandemic. All the nursing and assisted living facilities are on locked down and they would not allow her to leave except for medical reasons. I offered to provide a lease for the apartment - which was also in her name or they would speak with the manager of the facility she is currently living in and they could verify her identification but they insisted it was the only way they would provide service.. I even explained that she was 100% disabled and needed to have phone service in case she had an emergency, they did not care. I asked to speak with a manager on three occasions and was refused. They simply told me it was their standard policy. in the midst of a national lock down and stay at home orders they expected someone with Multiple Sclerosis to physically appear in their office before they would activate services. She was forced to wait till the day she moved into the apartment to take her to One Source and get her services turned on which happened to be on a Friday. Even though it's not updated on their website they close early on Friday's. Sure would have been nice if they had mentioned that on Thursday when they insisted I bring her in person. She spent the weekend alone in her apartment without a phone, yes that is correct thank goodness nothing happened. The ladies in customer service told me it wasn't their problem which is really pretty terrible if you think about it. I took her on Monday and the doors were locked, the lobby was closed. They refused to come out to see her to confirm her identity, I was told to leave her id on a table and they would look through a window from the office and see her in the car parked in the parking lot. It was completely ridiculous. There is no way they could identify who was sitting in my car. She did not even see anyone look out the window. I understand the importance of protecting someone's identity, but they could have at least pretended to check the picture on the id was in fact the person I had in my car. Totally messed up and if I am being honest it felt like they were discriminating against my friend. She needs help to go places and it cost money to pay for special ride services because she is in a wheelchair. With all the technology today, there are so many other ways this could have been handled without all the hassle we ended up going through. Shame on you One Source. read more

WORST experience with any company EVER. I mean restaurants, corporations, department stores, and individual retailers combined!! Their customer service is ABSOLUTE trash. The ONLY reason I have to deal with them is because my apartment complex has a contract with them. EVERY time I call, there's a woman (I think her name is Jennifer) who has an attitude no matter WHAT the topic is; I.e. paying my bill, discrepancies, starting the service, stopping a service. LITERALLY doesn't matter. Today, I decided to return my cable boxes because the cable looks like it was from the 90's when cable was first invented. We had them for 3 months and never watched tv because we had smart TVs and turns out we only needed internet. We decided to return them and after dropping them off we received a call saying that they were broken and that we'd need to pay $180 for EACH of the two boxes that are "rattling." WHAT?? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm warning you. I'm BEGGING you! Dontttttt!!!!!!!!! This was unethical and unjustifiably WRONG. After going back and forth with someone who said "this is just what we do," I am LIVID. I've never heard of such a thing. THEN SHE TRANSFERRED US TO A VOICE MAIL when we asked for a supervisor. HOW WE GOT THEM IS HOW WE RETURNED THEM. We know because we DIDNT use them after the first day. The "HD" is TRASH on an HDTV! If you're moving into a complex that only uses OneSource, find a new place to live. Please! These people use extremely dated equipment, the user interface is stuck in the 1990's, your internet and cable service drop frequently and it's slow (even if you have a high speed package). If you tell the company it's been out of service for a week and want a credit on your bill, they will refuse to refund you anything until they come verify it's not working on that specific day. I've had Cox and AT&T and they take your word for it if your service is out and credit your account. OneSource will not do that unless a tech comes to your home. But if it was out before the week that they came- you're out of luck and out of money and they expect you to pay for their faulty connections. DO NOT use these people. I had no choice but to get OneSource because they couldn't install DIRECTV due to location of my balcony & Uverse is not available. Going from AT&T to this company brings tears to my eyes. Can only record 2 shows at a time, (I'm used to 4) no app (at least i could not find it) to watch demand on the go (att has that) only one receiver you can watch recorded shows on ( i could watch dvr in every room with att) just assumed that was a given. I guess that's my fault. How do you lock yourself in an apt complex & cant offer the "basics". Wanted to stream with firestick..etc, but the reviews regarding the internet are horrible. read more

Update: My wifi dropped and could not be used with the ipad or cell phone. Called the tech service team. After 3 hours of being on the phone, disconnecting cables, restarting the modem and router several times, then the internet stopped working completely. Called my friend for help. The problem was local to the ethernet cable not working. A simple replacement of the cable between the modem and router fixed the problem. All of the effort spent, per tech service, to reset the wifi to default settings was a waste of time. I set up a bundle internet/telephone combo which was supposed to cost me less than the $7.00 a month I was paying just for caller ID. After 1/2 a dozen calls that showed up in my phone display as "unknown caller", I called One Source back again to find out whether the bundle that I set up last week was actually activated. I was told yes, was put on hold while my account was checked. Turns out the "caller ID" was never turned on. Why is it so difficult to get things done right the first time with these employees? I have telephone service with One Source, I live in a house, not an apartment complex. I asked for a full package price for full telephone service with all of the options. Customer service told me they cannot give a full package price as none exists. Customers have to request every individual option at a per charge fee (customer service will not go over all of themoptions on the phone): caller ID; outgoing; caller ID incoming; private number; etc. If there are 50 options, one has to pay for each option individually - no package price. They will not tell you what all of the options are upfront. Since David left, things have gotten much, much worse. I asked to speak to a sales manager. None exist for residential accounts. There are no residential sales people, just customer service people. read more

Wish there was a zero star rating available. Because onesource (aptly named) lives primarily off of contracted developments with exclusivity, they have no incentive to provide good (or any) customer service because your only alternative is to move away. If they do a repair to your area that leaves you without cable tv and Internet, you can't get help until the next day. And when you do, they aren't always very nice about you inconveniencing them. Their DVR interface is based on 15 year old standards and way behind real cable and satellite companies that have to be competitive. To top that off, they are the most expensive. Why? Because you are a captive audience. Time to pressure the FCC to break this monopoly of residential areas up. read more

We had one source for 9 months and from the beginning they were late on bills and charged over the amount due for billing. 3 months after we canceled our account and requested our deposit refund we had not received it. They then called us asking for this months payment since they had not canceled our account and had been charging our account and deducting the refund. Now we are not receiving our refund and owe them an additionnal payment. They will not send a bill or update our account. Their customer service staff is rude and not helpful. read more

The customer service is lackluster at best. I finally upgraded to 25 MB service after a neighbor told me they got it. That was after mulitiple calls to One Source and being told it wasn't available. I've now been 5 days with 2 MB service and can only call tech support at night. Each night I've waited 15-45 minutes with no one answering. They never fail to bill my card. That technology works. It's just what I'm paying for that doesn't work. And they are the only provider that works in my area. While they are great if you can get someone on the phone to send out to service it. But it seems ever since my premium increased last year the internet connection decreased. i live just outside Azle toward Weatherford, my internet was getting really slow, mostly because of signal degrading due to trees with heavy foliage growing taller thru the years and blocking the signal to my receiver antenna , so I Called Onesource to get some help. They sent BRANDON G. (I highly recommend this guy) who was awesome, and fast, he upgraded my set up with new equipment, then fine tuned it to get a fantastic signal rate. Like others here, I had no choice as the apts I was in only offered One Source as an internet/TV provider. A few days before I moved out (2 weeks ago), I called to have my services shut off. The csr answered the phone while having a conversation with a co-worker & was totally not paying attention to what I was saying as I had to repeat myself several times. I go to drop off the cable box/remote (they make you drop it off at their location yourself btw!), turns out the rep that was "helping" me didn't even cancel my service. The lady at the desk looked up on her computer about what I had called about prior to my move out date, their notes say I called about a problem with a channel?? Complained to them who I talked to and they knew right away who I was talking about so I'm guessing they've had problems with that particular person before. TLDR; DO NOT give this company your business if you can avoid them. End rant! read more

this is the worst friggin' company i have ever had to deal with. stay away from this company if you live in Springtown Texas.. the internet service is wireless and it is trash. i have had this service since 8/2014 and it has been down more then it has been up..we can only get 5/2 mbs from them.. and most of the time it is 2mbs/786kbs .. every weekend service goes out..and is down for an hour or so and sometime all day or all weekend... we have no tv service and use hulu and netflix every time we call to complain about service being down..we are on hold for 20 minutes before we get an agent and customer service has no idea about why it's down or even knows that its down.. and wants us to do some BS trouble shooting that NEVER works. the agents are some of the most untrained people i have ever had to talk with., and always want to get you off the phone as fast as they can.. or have the "on call" tech call you back.. oh the best thing is when we tell them we are coming down there to talk with them face to face .. service gets restored almost immediately.. at the proper speed. filed a complaint today with the FCC .. we are contacting an attorney to see if we can file a breech of contract against them for failure to supply service but contining to bill us at full price or giving ridiculous credit of a $1 or $2 when they cost us tons of cash in lost business and fees we paid for streaming services. All I can say is be prepared for incompetence at a mind-blowing level. The product is bad and the service is worse. I only used this company because it was the only option at my apartment complex. The cable boxes look like something from the 1980s along with the guide/menus. The DVRs can only hold about 30 hours of HD recording. I had 25 mbps internet which was fairly reliable, but it would go out once every couple weeks and I would have to do the whole unplug everything and plug back in ritual. When canceling their service (I moved to a new apartment with Verizon Fios), they make you return all the equipment to their location yourself, which isn't awful since you don't have to wait for a technician to show up. However, they had completely incorrect records of the equipment and service that I had been receiving for the past year. They told me I was supposed to be returning a DVR box, a standard box, and a modem when my service was actually 2 DVRs and internet using my own wireless gateway router. The person at the desk was baffled by the fact that their internet could work without one of their external modems. I was informed that I would have to pay a $50 fee for the modem I didn't return (which I never had to begin with). I obviously told them that I wan't going to pay for a device they didn't even give me. 15 minutes later after calling 3 additional employees out to the front desk they finally figured out what service I actually had and waived the "modem fee". Lord only knows what will wind up on my final bill. I hope for your sake you have an option besides OneSource. read more

I have used OneSource for about 17 years. Most of that time they were a decent provider with competitive prices and fast service. But about a year ago they changed owners or management or something. Now they are horrible. I was paying around 125.00 a month for high speed internet and expanded basic in HD. No extras, no movie channels. Then suddenly they raised my rate to 185.00 a month!!!!! For basic cable! No movie channels! The service rep I spoke to said that this was the new management policy, regardless of how long you have been a customer. Everyone pays the new, high rate. If you are one of the unfortunate one's who is stuck with OneSource here is what I recommend: I cancelled the cable and just kept the internet for the wifi. Then I got Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime video, Netflix, and a local antennae all for less than 100.00 a month. If I could give them zero stars I would. What a greedy, pathetic company they have become. Oh, one more thing; they are going to charge me 50 bucks for a modem they say I never returned that I don't have. Seems they do this a lot too. read more

I have phone service with OneSource and I use it for my job, I will not have my phone line with any other company then OneSource simply because of their costumer service quality. I do not have many issues with their phone line but the times that I have had some trouble and I call the office I get to talk to a real person and not a machine plus the technician is usually there within 20 minutes to take care of the problem. So bad I couldn't get past the woman that answered the phone when I called to inquire about service. She acted as if it was an annoyance that a customer was wanting to waste her time. Getting information out of her was like pulling teeth. I was asking about their wireless internet service and she kept telling me that it might not work and I wouldn't know until a technician came out. It seemed like she was going out of her way to discourage me from ordering service. Then when I persisted she made a big deal about all the installation costs, emphasizing how expensive it was without a contract ($200 installation fee) and how long the contract was (2 years) if I wanted to get service without an installation charge. Then she made a huge deal about how expensive the fines were that I'd have to pay if I did sign a contract but cancelled early. When I inquired about what speed I would be guaranteed if I signed up for internet she didn't know what I was talking about and I had to explain to her that it was standard for broadband service providers to guarantee a remedial speed. Her response was, "Oh. You'd have to talk to a technician after he installs it." My last question was when could I expect installation if I actually did order their wireless internet. She made a big production of acting like she was searching through their appointment schedule, complete with discouraging groans and mumbles, and finally told me that it would be several weeks to a month before they'd have an availability to install service for me. At this point I just hung up. I've never experienced anything like it. This woman was the front-line sales person and she absolutely went out of her way to be rude, bored, disinterested in me as a potential customer and unknowledgeable about her company's products. She only put energy into trying to prevent me from making her have to complete an order for new service. (I think she was actually doing me a favor in retrospect.) Avoid these people at all costs. They're toxic. read more

One Source is a terrible service provider. I've had them since I build my home in 2010 and found that they were the only option for non-data capped internet service for the area. They hold a monopoly on the area because none of the other internet service providers will come out to lay cable, and Hughes Net is data capped. The service offered is called WiMax and they charge WAY more than they should for the paultry speed that users actually receive. They constantly have tower hardware issues making their service even more terrible and unreliable. If you call their "Technical Support" people it's just some person reading from a script of basic troubleshooting that any computer user should know. IF you can get them to create a ticket and "escalate" it to the actual techs that would come to the property you're lucky to get a call. If they do "fix" the issue you can rest assured knowing that the "fix" is only temporary until their next hardware issue at the tower. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CAN! read more

We have used OneSource as our internet provider for 2 years or more. We have wireless broadband with them near Decatur. When we first subscribed, the service was great. Now it is sporadic at best and although we pay for 10Mb down/2.5Mb up we actually get around 3Mb down/.5Mb up if we are lucky and it is sometimes much worse than that in the evening. One of the techs that came out to our house recently tried to blame our slow service on an "unknown EMF field" surrounding our home and/or DirecTV because they had installed our satellite dish the week before. The mystery EMF field was complete nonsense and DirecTV had nothing whatever to do with it as the next day we found out the tower was down (yet again). Unfortunately, I cannot recommend OneSource anymore. They were ok a couple of years ago but now things have changed. It seems they have outsourced their telephone support so you don't even speak to anyone at their office in Keller anymore. Their internet service is no longer fast or stable. Find another ISP if you can and save yourself a headache. read more

Do not choose this company. When we first signed up with OneSource, we were promised fast internet. Over the 1 year of our contract, our internet speed has hardly capped out at 1.5 mbps. And that's on the days it isn't out. Next issue: customer service. Sorry, OneSource, we don't like spending hours on the phone, being passed around to 5 different smart-a**es who don't know what they're doing. You'd have better luck talking to a brick wall than getting something productive from the customer service reps. And lastly: We are at the end of our contract (thank god) and are happily switching to a different company. The thing is, we still have one week left, and during this week we aren't getting any internet service. So, bound by our contract, we have to sit here without internet for a week. So much for "one year". If you are thinking about choosing this company, I have one word of advice: Don't. You'd have better internet service coming from a rock than this excuse of a company.
