You'd be a fool to start anywhere else. So first I checked trusty ol' Yelp to look for local skate shops (thanks for coming through, again!) and I came up w/ One up. I read the reviews and was immediately excited. I headed down to pick up a gift for my brother and got the most exceptional service I've ever had in a skate shop. I was guided into all kinds of selection facets like board- to foot -sizing, durability and styles of various products, and ongoing maintenance. The gentleman behind the counter said he had been skating for something close to 20 or 30 years (I think). I was ready to acquiesce to his recommendations. No pushy sales, just great, thoughtful advice from an experienced skating veteran. While I was waiting for my parts to be constructed into a board, I browsed the store, which had all kinds of cool shirts, shoes and outerwear gear. I picked up a couple of shirts as gifts, including one that read "Wassup Haters." My brother loved the gift, and it has helped him improve his skating Bottom line: Awesome service, expert knowledge, great merchandise selection. I'm definitely stopping by again, and recommend you do the same. read more

Bought some shades online and then receive an email that there out of stock. Then check your fucking inventory before you waste my time and take my money. Now they keep lying about processing my refund because I checked with PayPal and nothing has been processed yet. "Small Shops" are always crying about support 'N shit but this is a clear indication of why I go elsewhere for my shit. This place is wack straight up. Bottom line avoid this spot because there just bullshit when it comes to inventory and refunding your money. They sell product they don't have then try to switch it out with something else just to avoid refunds. read more

Visited on a business trip to PA a month ago. Scooped a shop shirt, and they hooked it up with some shop stickers. Rad spot, rad shop, rad dudes. You can tell One Up is a genuine spot that is invested and cares about the local skate community- if I were a local it would be the only spot I shopped. read more

One of the best local skate shops I've ever been to, and I've been to like 20 different skate shops in California and Colorado. I snagged a super dope Independent hoody from their sale rack and then a One Up shop shirt as well. They had a huge selection of the latest apparel, footwear, and decks from a lot of different company's, along with a large rack of sale clothes! The guy at the counter was super friendly and we had a great 20 min conversation on decks and skaters, the guys here know everything about skating. Definitely worth visiting and shopping at, would re-enter, would recommend to a friend, will be shopping here again! read more

This is a fine skate shop on the South Side of Pittsburgh. They have everything you need skateboard wise, as well as lots of sneakers and apparel. There's a large selection of decks and some really unique shapes and styles, i.e. cool old school boards. The service could have a little more give-a-fuck, but I'm sure teenagers love it and that's the target market of a skate shop. read more

You really need to update your website. You are no longer located on East Carson. I then found out that you moved to Shady side. We went there looking to purchase a new board for my son. Guess what! I just moved from Albuquerque NM. Where Breaking Bad is about the most honest representation of what that city is about. I came here in pretty much the middle of February with 1 set of clothes and no real winter warmth. I looked for a local shop that would cater to my clothing style, without hunting the mall stores and finding the same mall clothing we had in Burque. I was greeted by the shop employee. We talked about visiting LBC California and some of the things we had in common. I can say that I honestly don't need to go experience any other localities, because this is MY shop now. I've returned, and continue to find clothing I want. I've liked being respected in the store, they have allowed me to keep my backpack on person or set by the counter to be watched every time. I have not shopped hard goods yet, because clothing to me is a big priority. With the selection available, I know I'll be getting my complete from their shop when the weather is warm. Albuquerque had some of the worst local shops! OneUp is the only shop I've ever experienced worth every star in this review. I spend good money in this store and I don't feel the need to check out anything else. I take my bus route from the eastside around every payday now just to check this store out. Not much changes week to week, but I have even called to have some items held, and that is always much appreciated. Keep up the OneUp!!! read more
