Outdoor patio covered and very nice

Yum! We came during the soft opening and really enjoyed it. Although I lived in Red Mill for over a decade, I was never able to visit the original location in that shopping center, so this was a first for us. We came in on a Friday night and easily parked in the attached garage (QR code ease for parking). Wow started with the chicken empanadas and boy, were they yummy. Soooo hot and fresh, you could tell they were made to order (it took a minute to get them). So worth the wait! We devoured them and the breading was heavenly. I chose the Chicken Pancit Bihon (rice noodles) for my entree and my husband went with the Sizzling Sisig (minced pork and onion). Both were hot and fresh but my husband's dish was to DIE for! Sooooo good, I am for sure going to order it next time. The seasoning was perfect, hot and delicious. Yum! We had plans to take our daughter out for dessert for her birthday or I would've absolutely been trying one of those Ube shakes... noms! Next time! Owners were walking around offering tasting of items and were checking in often to make sure all was going smoothly. He gave us a sample of the Calmansi Slushee and it was heaven! Soooo refreshing on a summer day, I can see stopping in during a bike ride to cool off with one of those babies. Beautiful patio outside with tons of covered seats and a pick-up window for easy pick-up right in front was nice. Love this location in Atlantic Park and what it brings to the oceanfront area... excited this new spot is here!

The decor is very Filipino like. The staff are always smiling and attentive. The food was hot and well prepared.

We were looking for authentic Filipino food near the boardwalk, and this spot was just a quick ride away. While parking was a bit tricky, choosing Only at Renee's was 100% the right move! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt nostalgic yet fresh, blending traditional Filipino decor with modern touches. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a wonderful sense of openness and community. As soon as we were seated, the staff kindly pointed out the restrooms and let us know that self-serve ice water and extra napkins were readily available in the center of the room. A special shoutout to Paulina and Xavier--they were exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful throughout our meal! The menu offers an incredible variety. Next time, we'll know to order a bit less for our young kids--the portions were much larger than expected! We definitely aren't complaining, though, especially since our hotel room had a microwave for delicious leftovers. Even our little ones thoroughly enjoyed their meals. What We Tried: Entrees: Bicol Express, Sinigang na Baboy, Vegetarian Kare-Kare, Beef Bistek, Grilled BBQ Pork Skewers Rice Bowl, and Grilled BBQ Chicken Skewers Rice Bowl Street Bites (Apps): Lumpia, Fish Balls, and BBQ Chicken Drinks: Sago't Gulaman and Strawberry Mansi Slushie Every single dish was delicious. There are so many other menu items I can't wait to try, and we will definitely be back next summer!

Run, don't walk to Renee's. Now!! Everything was perfect! The food, the presentation, the drinks and OMG the service!! I know the new location is at the oceanfront but please go. Don't let that deter you. You will not regret it. You order the food through a kiosk. Pay and sit. There are people to take drink orders, deliver food, take away plates and anything else you need. There is a bar, indoor seating and outdoor seating. It was tough to decide what to order but we decided on the Chicken Pancit and BBQ Chicken Bowl. It took no time at all to get our food. Freaking delicious!!!! Perfection. Huge servings. We each took some to go. I wanted to keep eating and eat it all but I stopped myself. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Fresh. Chefs kiss. I am a foodie and this kind of meal makes me happy and do my happy food dance. And this is a true family restaurant. I met husbands and wives and sons and family friends and mothers. They all came together and made this awesome team to serve us delicious food. So very nice too. The drinks were also delicious. I will be going back. I don't have a single complaint. They also have a take out window.

Filipino restaurant close to Virginia Beach, where it felt like being in a hut in the Philippines with the cute decorations and Titas walking around. Came in on a rainy day, right when it opened and they were so friendly greeting us in Tagalog, which added to the ambience. I ordered the Adobo Fried Rice and Pork Tocino. I couldn't really taste the adobo much in the fried rice, so I would skip on the extra dollar for it. The Tocino came in a large portion which was amazing. I enjoyed the sweetness of the bite and it wasn't just drenched in the sauce. The dishes were a little pricey, but delicious. Sadly I was unable to try the bulalo special, but would come back again whenever I'm in back in the area.

Masarap (delicious) Filipino food in Virginia Beach! When I visited my cousin late last year, I was looking forward to trying good Filipino food in the area as Virginia Beach is a host to a huge Filipino diaspora from the 1980s (thanks to the many Filipino Sailors stationed in Naval Station Norfolk!). I was especially excited to try Only At Renee's after hearing that the dishes are inspired by the Philippine province of Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines! My cousin who lives in the area suggested we have a Sunday lunch here. She made a reservation as the restaurant is small, yet popular. We all loved everything we ate! We ordered: - Ensaladang Talong: A mango salad on a bed of grilled eggplant - Nilaga with beef - Pork tocino - Bicol Express (Daily special) - Sizzling inihaw na pusit (grilled squid) - Sago't gulaman for me - Only At Renee's Hot Tea for my husband - Ube shake for our friends' toddler The quality of our meal seriously felt like eating at Lola's (grandma's home). The friendly servers were like your Tita and cousins serving you!

I tried out the caldereta and the mechado (?). I liked both items but I found it too oily for my liking. The vegetables were stewed perfectly and the meat texture were nice and tender. The service was excellent-- friendly, patient, and helpful. You can pick and choose different entrees over rice or pancit. Similar to getting food from Panda Express. The hot dog had a nice sear around it, which gave it great flavor while keeping it juicy. Definitely one of my favorites! The chicken buns were good and had a unique sweet-and-savory flavor. They weren't my absolute favorite, but they were definitely not bad--just different from what I expected. I wasn't a huge fan of the ham and cheese, though.
