We just ate there and got the best bowls! The server kenadie was the best! Super friendly and sweet! And don't forget she served the wettest yummiest and best sodalicous açaí of my life! FYI she's funny
It was good! Nice acai bowls with a solid amount of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh, and it's a great healthier option in the area.
I stopped by for a quick frozen yogurt treat and ordered the Kids Size. The serving cost nearly $5, which already feels expensive, but the portion size was the real problem: the yogurt barely filled the cup, making the container highly misleading. I understand that toppings are an extra cost, but the base portion for the Kids Size is an unacceptable value for the price charged. The large cup size feels like a case of false advertisement when the actual product is so meager. Due to the high price point and the very small, misleading portion, I will not be returning to this location. I recommend prospective customers look elsewhere if they expect fair value for their money.
We had a choice while in the North Shore of Oahu after eating our lunch at the shrimp truck...go to Leonard's for malasadas or try Ono Yo which was right near the shrimp truck. Good thing we decided to try Ono Yo! You can make your own creation or try one from the set menu. I did the mixed yogurt/acai mix. If you are in the mood for trying North Shore food trucks, you should give Ono Yo a try. Don't forget to "Check-in" on Yelp as they sometimes have little rewards for you.
Food (4.25/5): I got a medium layers of heaven with frozen Greek yogurt base and a medium wild berry with açaí base. I do not recommend the açaí --it was quite bland and flavorless; the fruit topping was really fresh though. The Greek yogurt though, I highly highly recommend! It was spectacular even if I just had it plain, which I can't say for most plain Greek yogurt. The food is a bit overpriced. Service (2/5): If this place had better service, I think I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. The staff seem aloof and disinterested. I did not tip, but that's because it's not sit-down style, and I think that might be why my portion was so small for a medium? The woman staff who took and made my order initially announced that both bowls were a small size when they were ready for pickup, but I clarified with her that I ordered two medium bowls, and she quickly corrected herself that I was being given two medium bowls. It was just a really strange and uncomfortable interaction. Ambiance (4/5): I came here on a Monday afternoon, and there wasn't a line per se, but people were ordering one after another periodically, so seems like they get consistent business. Again, I would give them 4 or even 5 stars (amazing frozen Greek yogurt, maybe even the best plain I've had), but their attitude and service needs to change. I was thinking of giving them 1 or 2 stars but the Greek yogurt again was their saving grace.
Amazing service! The girl working when we went was incredibly friendly and patient with me and husband as we worked our way through the menu trying to decide what we wanted. And the food delivered. Amazing quality, you could tell the ingredients were all fresh and the flavor was so rich - we'll definitely be going back! The cutest little truck/stand too, with hanging lights and wooden seating area. I'm craving it now as I'm writing this review... go check it out, you won't be disappointed!
This is another cool stop at the Sugar Mill. I plan to try all the eateries here before I leave. I got the acai bowl which is one of my favorites and it was refreshing and a good snack, not a meal given the small portions. Still two thumbs up!
Love coming here whenever we venture out to Kahuku for camping at Malaekahana or when we have a garlic shrimp craving. The yogurt at Ono Yo is so refreshing and my favorite is the Fruit Bowl with plain tart yogurt base. Check in via Yelp and you'll get a free topping!
We were coming back from Paipailoa to Laie side and wanted açaí bowls but they ran out of açaí which is unfortunate. There is plenty of parking in front and there are other food trucks near it. My fiancé ended up ordering the frozen yogurt base and the bliss bowl which has bananas, sliced almonds, granola and honey. It was good but we really wanted açaí so hence the 4 stars.
You m vacation and we had to drive to the north shore of the O'ahu island to the food truck village. Among other places we tried we had a little dessert here at Ono Yo! ... there was only one person working which made for a long wait but it was well worth it and we were understanding. The small bowl we tried was delicious and fresh. The set up of this little truck is awesome with the beautiful stained wood all around the deck! Definitely a place to try while visiting
This was my first experience trying acai (pronounced ah-sigh-EE). Since you could order açaí or frozen yogurt, I knew that it was along the lines of a dessert type of thing. I really had no preconceived notions about what it would taste like. To me, it really didn't even have a taste. But maybe that's because I ordered the almond joy and it had lots of chocolate, almonds and coconut in it. Someone with me ordered fruit and it was good too! I loved sitting outside on the picnic tables and enjoying watching and listening to the roosters crowing all around! Very relaxing and filling snack!

A little expensive for small bowl of yogurt. But their yogurt are tasty with fresh fruits, friendly customer service also. They have a few very cute table for customers to relax, very good looking for IG. read more

Ono-you got found out. We ordered 3 small acai create-your-own bowls plus 2 extra toppings at $1.75 each. Why did the girl ring me out for $39!?!? Ididn't sit right with me that it was so expensive considering the price for a small was $6 which consist of 3 free toppings and free sauce. When I got my order the bowl was maybe less than 8 oz if that and they skimped on the toppings. I asked for my receipt and she actually charged me for an extra bowl. Tell me how a person preppin the bowls doesn't make 4 bowls when reading off the receipt/order?!? The bowls were good since it was all natural toppings. But they also forgot one of the toppings i paid for. They never offered a receipt. Lesson learned...ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPT!! She refunded me once I caught the mistake. Hopefully this isn't a common practice since it's a high touristy area. The bowls are good but overpriced for the size. read more

Good refreshing Fro-yo food truck place with many selections of desserts. I was way too excited with the great reviews on Yelp but I concluded it was just a bit overrated. The fruit bowl was delicious but didn't stand out, compared to the other dessert places. The medium bowl we got was $9 which a bit costly compared to the value what you got. The fruits were good and went well with the Fro-yo. They have cute seating area that's perfect for friends/families to chill out have desserts. This place is located among many other food trucks and a small market so it is a good stop for the meal/coffee/dessert. Plenty of parking right by HWY 83. read more
Wow wow wow! I don't know how I've missed this place every time I've been in the North Shore, but I will never pass it without stopping again! So fresh, so bomb, so original, SO DELICIOUS. I've seen some people hating because they feel uneasy about eating from a lunch truck. It's ice cream, people.. or yogurt, or whatever. It's not that complicated, it's not like they're selling veal outta there. At any rate if you have issues eating from a lunch truck, North Shore isn't the place for you and I'm happy to stand in a shorter line anyway! read more

Cute fro-yo food truck that serves refreshing frozen yogurt with simple, yet delicious toppings for a reasonable price. The service was also very fast and all the ladies working had smiles on their faces. If you come up past North Shore heading East towards Turtle Bay - they will be on your left, or are heading West (past Turtle bay heading to NS/ Haleiwa - they will be on your right), this is definitely a place to stop for dessert or a light snack! read more

Taste: 5/5 Plating & Portion: 3/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Pricing: 4/5 = 21/25 This place is ono, yo! I love love love the tartness of their Plain Frozen Yogurt. What sets them apart from the other places who use additives is that theirs is Greek yogurt instead. They also use freshly made and whole ingredients. This is easily my favorite froyo "shop" next to Cherry On Top in Pearl City. Both froyos have a thick consistency that stays frozen longer than the others on the island (and I've tried a million different places: TCBY, Yogurtland, Orange Grove, Orange Tree, Menchie's, Tutti Frutti, Yogo Crazy, Yogen Fruz, etc. etc.) Two days ago, my friends and I were playing tourist on an around-the-island venture. We decided to make a stop to browse the market tents which are nearby. We weren't intentionally looking for anything to eat when we stumbled across Ono Yo. We had already previously eaten chocolates from Fine Ass Brand in Kaaawa and bentos from K's Bento-ya in Waipahu. What attracted us to Ono Yo were their cute, brightly-painted benches and matching food wagon. Their customer service was a reflection of the vibrant color scheme! The employee who passed our bowls through the window, he told us to clap our hands before giving them to us. We enjoyed his enthusiasm as much as the food! First timer! I love frozen yogurt especially on a hot day! My cousin always comes here wit her sister for a couples years now. They love it so I had to try! Right now because of quarantine they are only accepting card so keep that in mind. Available they had a plain tart yogurt and flavor of the day which was mango/pineapple then I chose the toppings and sauce. I chose the tropical blend topping which was pineapple, coconut, banana but they were out so sub it with more pineapples then sauce was lilikoi butter. Need I Say Less!! It was so yummy! read more

Honestly, this yogurt was better than most. The options are endless I would say and even though it might be pricey just imagine keeping yogurt cold in the heat. Acai and plain swirl with honey (raw) was so good together and the after taste wasn't like a phlegmy leftover. It was rich and GREAT in every way. - Friendly service. - Neat presentation. I must say. I'm super happy this exists and is open till 9! Not many places on this side of the island are open till 9. The lilikoi butter is a must have. They make it themselves. The fact that they source local and organic whenever possible is a huge plus in my book! Oh and they use paper instead of styrofoam!!!! I hope other food places will soon follow suit. Bravo you guys. Yet another gem I discovered in this area!! I tried this frozen yogurt truck for the first time tonight and it was delicious! The flavors are unique, and the fresh fruit toppings and sauces are to die for! I had the flavor of the day, papaya, banana and carrot (seems weird but it is delish!!) with fresh mangos and honey topping. Yum! A much healthier alternative to other desserts. Now all I want is a second location, a cross from my house :-) read more

Stopped by for a taste of frozen yo! Read their website before visiting to really appreciate this small business. They offer a greek frozen yogurt and a true Brazilian açaí and a variety of toppings. I ordered a yogurt with fruit, chia seeds and lilikoi butter. The yogurt was a bit on the soft side (needed longer to freeze) but had a terrific taste. According to their webpage, they make batches throughout the day, so I didn't ding them on that. They were short or out of a couple of the fresh fruit toppings, but also I understand that food waste management. It's been pretty warm and I'm sure fresh fruit doesn't stay that way long in the heat. Also, in fairness, I stopped by around 6 PM, which is late in the day (they close at 7 PM on Sunday). The lilikoi butter topping was delicious and added a terrific contrast against the tart Greek yogurt. Very pleasant young men working at the helm, so overall a welcome break from driving through Kahuku. read more

Really good acai bowls. Their toppings are always very fresh, especially the fruit. They have so much to choose from that we keep coming back here and never getting bored. I recommend getting the large bowl, because it's significantly larger for only $2 more than the small. Very cute ambiance and nice places to sit nearby. read more

We couldn't find it at first, but it's actually right by the famous Giovanni's shrimp truck, along with a few other food trucks. They offer s lot of different flavors and toppings. We got the PBJ and added pineapples. It was okay, but didn't satisfy my husband's acai bowl craving. He thought a fro yo would have done the trick, but sadly this cup didn't. I thought the pineapples were sweet and tasty. Remember to check in on Yelp for a free topping! read more

What a find!! We saw the cool truck and decided to give it a try. I thought the plain yogurt might be too tart but it was awesome with all the fresh fruit and treats we added. We had to go back daily. Wish we would have found it at the start of our trip. Get the frequent buyer card - even if you are only there for a week. You will use it! read more
