    Lobby / waiting room
    Teddy D.

Upon arrival to the Lone Tree Acute Care center I was pleasantly surprised to find a warm and inviting waiting room / lobby. The waiting room had the following key highlights: * Complimentary tea and hot cocoa * Complimentary coffee (individual servings, not cheap stuff) * Complimentary WiFi (I'm using that right now to post my Yelp experience) * Complimentary cable T.V., reading material and toys for children to play with * Complimentary hand sanitizer and protective face masks The staff that greeted me at the front door was extremely helpful and provided free pretzels out of a large container that appeared to have been purchased at a wholesale store such as Costco. This really helped my cousin to feel better while he waited his turn to be seen by the medical staff. The staff must have known that we were visiting from the Bay Area and provided us with a complimentary ESPN "Bay Area" issue. This made us feel much more at home and provided a little taste of the San Francisco Bay right here in Colorado. Overall an extremely positive experience. Polite, professional staff with a clean, up to date facility that boasts plenty of complimentary acutraments. Teddy D.

Total bill for cleaning and bandaging a hematoma on my thumb: $972. The negotiated rate ended up being $565 which is still ridiculous.

The staff asked for her…read moreinsurance, and we asked if this was going to be "Urgent care" and person at the desk confirmed that as Urgent Care (because of no urgency and admit time was before 8pm) and charged her with the co-pay for urgent care (which is $35) but then a week later the claim that appeared on our account was categorized as *Emergency Care*, which resulted in $200 additional charges. We immediately contacted our insurer, who confirmed that the billing category was incorrect and that a correction was required. The insurance company is still pending the correction, and we have been asked to pay the full amount out of pocket. I will file a formal complaint with the COInsurance Commission To my opinion they do this on purpose to charge people more like Healthcare is not already expensive. **If you're treated at this clinic:** 1. Verify the billing category before signing any paperwork. 2. Ask the front desk or provider to confirm that you are there for urgent care (not emergency) which we did and didnt help 3. Keep copies of all documents (claim, statements, emails). I wanted to share this experience so you can avoid a similar billing mistake.

They were more focused on outside factors such of age, felt like race and time of day and seemed upset about it being so late. The ONLY person nice there was the lady who took him to get his X-ray and cat scans. With having a concussion my boyfriend left more upset about the way he was treated during our time there than anything. WOULD NEVER recommend advent health to anyone.

We emailed the form at 9:30 a.m. and politely asked if it could be returned by 2:00 p.m. Understanding that offices are busy, we felt 5.5 hours for a simple signature was reasonable. After receiving no response, we called multiple times to confirm the email was received. Four calls later, including being placed on hold twice until the calls disconnected, we still had no answer. We ultimately drove the form to the office in person. My wife then waited 45 minutes in the lobby, during which only one patient checked in, and we still did not receive the signature. We understand that medical offices are busy, but responsiveness and basic communication matter -- especially when it involves kids and time-sensitive school or sports requirements. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to look for a new pediatrician for our three children. I would encourage others to consider the importance of communication and responsiveness when choosing a provider.

I get that you have a PHD, but I've lived in my body 45 years & have undergone countless treatments, doctors & options; therefore am entirely certain that my opinion about my healthcare should be heard & not so easily dismissed. I can't trust a doctor with managing my medical health if they're not on the same team WITH ME. Dr. Togliatti has seen my records, she saw what previous meds & dosages I've been on. So I'm unsure why she's decided to take me back 20 years to the beginning of treatment like I'm brand new to thyroid issues. I'm not a doctor but I'm smart enough to know what my labs mean. And she may have a decade of education and experience with the general public on a general level of knowledge. But I know my own body for longer than she has. I find it highly unprofessional when you've got to argue with a physician about how your own body works. A good doctor knows everyone reacts differently to different forms of treatment. Medicine isn't a "one size fits all" thing. She may have plenty of patients, so won't miss me leaving her patient list. But I also have plenty of doctors to choose to trust with my health that I don't feel like I'm having to convince of my lab results that are literally self explanatory. I'm also not happy that she never bothered to call me to go over those lab results. Especially since my TSH levels are still WAY off. So calling me in the same prescription dosage is comparable to insanity: when you continue to repeat the same action, yet expect a different result.

Was supposed to be refilled last week, but it was not because the provider left Burrows 15 days ago, now they want me to come back in for another checkup and establish care with a new provider, pay another few hundred dollars, and get yet another refill prescription that was supposed to last one full year (i shouldn't have to pay more because a doctor left their office). And now they will not honor my prescription refill that i went in for 2 months ago, which i did intentionally ahead of time to avoid missing medication but now i am physically paying for it. They also told me the checkup without insurance they told me would be ~$160. Imagine that. Cheaper if you don't have any insurance.
