BUYER BEWARE! This dealer had a truck which was everything we wanted in a truck and that's the reason we drove 400 miles to take a look. Initial contact was decent, greeting was friendly, overall buying experience was acceptable, and it was a fair deal which included our trade-in vehicle. Sales staff was your best friend until after the sale. We had issues with the truck once we returned home, was promised multiple times the issues would be taken care of and that the issues were covered by the Ford warranty. We called the Sales Manager many times and many times our calls were not returned as promised. This was mentally challenging and should never have happened thru a "Ford" dealership! We would not recommend first of all driving 400 miles for a "perfect" vehicle nor would we recommend this dealership. read more

Purchased a service contract for 6 oil changes and didn't drive the vehicle near as many miles as estimated after purchase. Had 2 oil changes left and they honored 1 of them. This oil change was done 1200 miles early at that. I asked if I could just get the oil and filter and I would do the last one myself. They refused, and said that they did me a favor by doing the one already. I'm sorry but these oil changes were pre paid for up front! They were never a gift from you ever. I paid for them!! Bo tells me they don't have anything to do with the contracts. Funny thing is the dealership gets paid for them, but they have nothing to do with them? I will never do business with Auto Ranch again. I knew there was a reason why I went to Smith Auto in Weiser, to have all my warranty work done. They understand customer service. Spend $65,000 with Auto Ranch and this is the best they can do. We'll see if screwing someone out of $120 or so is worth it. This certainly isn't my last vehicle, but it damn sure is from you!! read more

When I took my Edge in for warranty work it was suppose to take a couple of hours. I dropped it off that morning, called after luch to see if it was done. Was told it would be done by closing. Arrived 10 min before they closed. My Edge was sitting in the same spot I parked it. Called them to see if my car was ready. They said we are working on it right now. I said so its in the bay? He said yes. I said really, because I am sitting in front of it right now. Its exactly where I left it this morning. He told me they were going to finish it that night and I could pick it up in the morning. It was ready after noon the next day. My next experience was having them repair damage a lady did backing into my front end. While getting a bid, they were frantically trying to find a customer's car they lost. Plus they told me it wasn't the first time. That should have been my que to leave. After the work was completed and I picked my car up, it was blowing hot air and my outside temperature guage said it was -40 outside. It was 103 degrees that day. I turned around and went back. They tried to tell me my sensor must have just failed on the way home. I pointed out it was fine when I brought it in and they worked on my front bumper exaxtly where its located. We sat in their office for 3 hours while they checked it out. They said it did fail but they would replace it for free. I had to leave it there so service could get a sensor over. Next day they called and told me my airfilter was also really dirty so they replaced it for free. I had a really hard time believing it was. 3 days later, its blowing hot air again and its reading -41 again. I called but nobody answered the phone or called me back. So I complained to Ford. We decided to check the sensor ourselves. It was unplugged. It wasn't replaced as they told us. So we pulled out the airfilter. Pounded it on the ground and there was a small pile of dirt. It wasn't a new filter either. Ford wanted us to contact the service manager at the dealership. They wouldn't let me talk to him. I was told I had to talk to the autobody shop. I told her I was told service replaced the filter and sensor. She even tried to tell me that "new" filter had that much dirt because theres so much dirt in the air, its common for them to be filty after 3 days. She also said they didn't do my warranty two years earlier. It was in 2017. Hello, my Edge is a 2018. That was my Ford Fusion's records. I then called the autobody shop. Got the answering machine, again. A week later, they left me a message. Said their phone have been acting up and still were so I may or may not reach them. I think not. I am done with this dealership. I would never let them touch another one of my vehicles again, let alone buy one from them. read more

Thus far, have never had problems with salespeople whatsoever. I'd give 5 stars BUT earlier this afternoon I made a phone call to the Ontario Auto Ranch Ford, I was directed to maintenance/garage as I asked. After the phone call I was very unsatisfied. Given why I rate them a 3. Luckily I've had time to feel better about the situation. I being someone who doesn't know a whole lot about cars was hoping for much better customer service! You'd think they would take the time to acknowledge the persons concern on the other end of the phone & possibly take the time to educate them a little more on behalf of their issue. Not to mention they hung up on me. Of course, I shouldn't expect people to have the same morals but come on this should be common knowledge. The mechanic and service depart will 100% UPCHARGE anyone and anything they can for an extra penny. I came in clearly stating an issue with right side of my engine (I even had paper work showing the issue from live feedback of the engine). They told me they photo copied the paper work and would do their diagnostic. A day later they said some made up excuse about "the muffler needs to be welded on before we can do any work" (which has ZERO to do with the issue I brought to them). I've done a lot of work on my car and know it inside and out, but yet they told me I needed to replace my brand new water pump and a bunch of hoses (which all were new and fine because I put them on myself, I've checked and double checked) . I decide I had enough of their lies and went to pay for their "diagnosis fee" and another customer walks in talking to the desk mechanic standing 3 feet away from me. The customer had brought in a truck with 80,000 for a headlight change and a oil change. The customer then stepped outside to make a phone call. The guy at the desk must've forgotten I was standing behind him because he said (over his shoulder to the lady that I was in the process of paying the fee to) "ILL BET WE CAN FIND SOMETHING TO UPCHARGE THAT GUY FOR ON HIS TRUCK" I was shocked! The lady I was paying to at the desk looked like she realized her coworkers mistake too of saying that out loud. read more

Really mad that the service dept. has you make an appt. to hold your spot in line to have your car looked at . They say, bring your car in your appt time is this time . I brought my car in and then they don't even look at it . When I called they said the time to bring your car in is only to hold you spot . They said they have 24- 48 once they give you a time to bring it in. That's not even working on it . This is a crazy way to do business . I will never go back to this place . Who has time to give their car up for this long . When you make an appt. and set a time your car should be looked at then . I shouldn't be told I have 12 people ahead of me once I make an appt. read more

I want to commend Matt Newberry from Service at Ontario Auto Ranch. I took my car to a local business to have the battery replaced. After installation I was told on trying to take air filter housing off to get to battery, they found the screws over tightened and one was stripped and someone else had to have done it. I said never worked on as I have had my 2013 Ford Escape since brand new in 2013 and only oil filters, air filters and tires replaced has been done. They said not factory battery. I said wrong, I've always had the vehicle and it's original. I then went to Ontario Auto Ranch and Matt examined and had me videotape that only screw stripped was one the other business did, one other screw scratched from using wrong tool to try to remove; they did not reattach the cover over the intake to the air filter, nor did they plug the sensor to the air filter back in. Matt wrote me an estimate to repair with description of incomplete work. I took to the business and they are going to make it right. Thanks a million MATT for your invaluable service. read more

I took in a 2002 Ford excursion 7.3 in November for the pats system not reading the key. I would call the service dept asking about this rig for months. They would lie to me saying they did not have my number ect. So 3 months later 2-15-22 I CALL Ontario Ford told them to buttin the rig up cause I was having it towed to anouther shop they gave me a 1500 dollar bill for litterly doing nothing or fixing anything ( I would have been better off letting my 4 year old daughter work on the truck!! Would have been cheaper ) Ontario Ford was trying to order new ecm and pcm. I decided to have the rig towed to 208 diesel and they had the vehicle running and driving in 30 minutes. They programed the key and ordered a new spare key that connects with the pats system. I will never buy anouther rig or have one serviced at Ontario Ford. I will drive the extra 30 minutes and take all my vehicles to 208 diesel read more

Saw a truck on CarGuru listed at Ontario Auto Ranch. I drove the hour to have a look at the truck. After meeting with the salesman and driving the truck, I decided to pursue the purchase. After some quick info exchanged, the sales manager came over with the quote. Looks good but asked some questions. The most outstanding part of the quote was a $1000 charge. Whats this? With barely an acknowledgement, sales manager turns to the computer and brings up their website and shows me where it says dealer will add $1000 if there is no trade and $1000 if not using in house financing. Im ok with using the in house financing - going to refinance with my CU anyways. But still a terrible fee. The $1000 because I dont have a trade. Not doing that. And tell them so. They talk it over. Salesman comes back and says it is because they is limited inventory and if you dont have a trade its added on. No way! That is unethical. Why am I punished for not having a trade. Not my fault there isnt inventory. After several rounds of getting nowhere on them figuring a way around their fee add on. I gather my stuff and ready to go. But the salesman keeps saying - its not a fee. Look theirs a $500 discount (if you qualify). I qualify for one now figure your way around the other $500. They cant seem to do so. So now standing up and leaving. Salesman follows me and says to me and this is nearly quoted - Other people come in here and see that and dont mind paying it. What! So this affirms the status that most of us know car salesmen to be. Terrible reasoning. And affirms that they prey on the naivety of people. Again, so terrible and shame on Auto Ranch. Still trying to get me to buy the truck. And Im still open to it if they get rid of the $1000 fee for no trade. Salesman says you qualify for a discount. Great. Now we are down to $500. I point to the sales manager and says you need to talk to him to make this work not me. There is no further movement so Im out. If I was you I would stay away from the Ontario Auto ranch. They add fees that shouldnt exist and prey on the unknowing people. Be careful. But the inventory is low. It's not so low that you have to give in to unreasonable fees and salesmen and companies that have no moral compass. Good luck out there. read more

If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. DO NOT use their service department! We dropped our vehicle off in November for them to look at it for some issues we were having. They charged us over $600 for them to tell us what they "think" the issue is, but they won't know whether or not it is the actual problem until they replace something that may or may not be the problem. We've since spoken to another mechanic who said he can diagnose the real issue so there is only one fix, not multiple guess-fixes. They held onto our vehicle for over 2 1/2 months and did nothing with it-they kept telling us things were on back order, then would contradict themselves the next time we spoke to them that they just ordered it-even though it was supposedly on backorder the last time we spoke, or that they were waiting for our extended warranty to respond-even though every time we talked to the warranty company they were quick to respond to us. We never got straight truthful answers. There was only one person who knew what was going on with our vehicle and he wouldn't call to give us updates. We would have to call him but he was often off work for vacations, illnesses, and days off (which is understandable to an extent-but why weren't there notes in the system so anyone could have given answers?). He would then take days to get back to us because he had "other customers to deal with" (also understandable, but for 2 1/2 months this was his excuse-how busy can he really be that in an 8 hour shift he couldn't give us a 5 minute update phone call???). This place is untrustworthy and I will never again take a vehicle to this company. Prior to this I bought a vehicle from them and was happy with the transaction, but I will be taking my business elsewhere next time I need a vehicle or anything done with it. read more

I can't express how much I appreciate the guys at this dealership, especially the servic department. We had an issue on Monday driving from Tacoma WA to Salt Lake City for the Lakers game. 20 miles before Ontario, our 2012 Mustang died on the Interstate. We were towed to Gentry during lunch. As soon as lunch was over they pushed our car in and went work, knowing that we had another 400 miles to go before tip off. They found a bare wire under the back seat that was shorting out our fuel pump. A new wire was spliced in and we were sent on our way. Knowing how frantic we were, they put us on the road after being there for a couple of hours, free of charge. Thank you guys so much, we made the Lakers game and because of you, our daughter had a great birthday gift seeing Kobe on the floor!!!! read more

Not a reputable dealership. No integrity. I bought a used truck that was I was told had went through a Safety and condition inspections by 3 different people. 3 days after getting the truck home went to put new tires on it and the place inspected the brakes. it was metal on metal.. so since you cant just replace 1 side with brakes, I had to have both front rotors and Calipers replaced.... over $500! I took Pictures of it all and shared it with my salesman.... brakes are one of the main safety items that must be in good condition before a dealer can sell a vehicle. 2 weeks later the dealership offered to pay for the brake pads only!. I even have there 3/3 warranty that they post on all their used vehicles! Worthless!! When this dealership had the chance to make it right on something that they admitted should not have been missed, they waited over 2 weeks to let me know that they could only offer to pay for the cheapest brake pads and then did nothing. Took my F-350 in for an oil change and tire rotation, the normal service. The service took over 2 hours, which can be expected on some days. We went to pay and our complimentary oil filters disappeared and we were charged because they weren't recorded on the system. In addition, later in the day I got a low tire pressure warning because they forgot to change the tire pressure when they did the rotation. read more

We had been searching for a very long time on a truck to pull our 5th wheel with and finally found a good one through Gentry Ford in Ontario, OR. It started out well, with the salesman giving us the run down and whatnot. Since we were from out of town, they stayed open late and did everything they could to ensure that we got the lowest possible interest rate through their financing. When we went to leave they only handed us 1 key ... we asked where the 2nd one was and they said it only came with 1 .... since the ignition has a transponder in it, we let them know that that was unacceptable and would need a 2nd; if we lost the one and only key, we would be up a creek and spending hundreds of dollars to rekey our entire system. After some work, they agreed to pay for a 2nd key, but their service department was already closed. They told us to go to our local Ford and then they would cover the bill. Happy with that, we got on the road (on an empty tank ... and no windshield wiper fluid) - 30 miles out from the dealership, our Turbo stopped working. We did some troublshooting and found out that turning the truck off and back on would restart it for a while, but we had the problem continually after that. By this point, we were happy that we purchased the additional warranty (because it did have higher miles). We called Gentry the next day and told them what happened and they offered to pay for a full diagnostic at our local Ford. Even with those little things, I would sitll have given them at least a 4 out of 5. Then the headache began. The trip permit they gave us was good for about 3 weeks, which was more than enough time for them to send the paperwork to state and then for us to get the license plates we would need. This is the part that they are terrible at. It took a full 6 weeks for them to mail all of the documentation to our local Department of Licensing, which meant we had to continue to purchase 3 day trip permits. They told us to keep our receipts and they would reimburse us ... but having to take out time from your day to stand in the huge lines at the court house to get a trip permit every 3 days is VERY annoying. Because of the lack of paperwork on their end, I also didn't know anything about my loan until 2 weeks before it was due. I didn't have an account number or mailing address, and only got the information right before I needed to mail in my first check. Very stressful for someone who likes to be early with their payments. Overall, if I could avoid purchasing from them again I would. They do have friendly customer service, but their backoffice is lacking. read more

Called Gentry about a new Subaru and received an acceptable-agreed on price via email. I was very careful to list the options and asked for a detailed quote; out the door including extended warranty license fees and taxes. Price looked good so I asked them to once again verify the out the door price before I drive 70 miles to drop off a deposit. They verified price again (in writing-email.) When my wife and I drove there on March 14, 2016I was placed with a salesman for about 45 minutes and then led into Matt Lunstrum's office where he started telling me he made a mistake with the price and it would be around $2,000 more. In summary, they are playing a shell game and I advise you avoid doing business with them. I was very careful to make sure they had the correct price and when I arrived, I recognized the operation as a scam! read more

Probably the best car buying experience I've had. I should have shopped at Gentry Ford first but settled for a different truck that I bought out of town. They had the truck I really wanted on the lot less then a month after I purchased the out of town truck. No hassles, they worked a trade with me and I got what I wanted in the first place. Dont mess around, go see these guys as the salesman JC was awesome and Matt in finance was also great to work with. I think I was in/out in just under 3 hours. Took the truck on a road trip the same day putting on over 700 miles with absolutely no issues. If you are looking for high pressure sales tactics then you need to look at another dealership! I called Gentry, told them what I was looking for and where I needed to be on price. They called me back and let me know they had found the vehicle and agreed to my terms! They said it would take two hours to get the truck from another dealer if I wanted it. I let them know I was on my way, the vehicle was ready when I arrived! Upon arrival there was no hidden or missing information, it was all as agreed. Kevan, Matt and Ben were great to work with every step of the way! After returning from a trip 10 days later I scheduled some warranty work and when I arrived the service department was again great to work with. Maritza was an absolutely sharp service advisor and had everything ready for me and paid attention to my OCD details. This is only my first 5 star rating but these guys went above and beyond across the board, and I could not think of a thing they need to change except move closer to Boise. read more

Matt (gosh I hope I remembered his name correctly!) helped me out on the phone, verifying they had a vehicle I found online. We were looking at a few dealerships that day and I told him we would be in in a couple hours. After a horrible experience at the other place, we went to Gentry. The car we were interested was parked right up front, ready to go. The sales team was nice and friendly and when they went to get Matt everyone was laughing and joking around and relaxed- it made a nice atmosphere. Test drove the vehicle, which was clean,running well, no major issues and exactly what they advertised. We had already secured financing- they found a better deal that beat the APR by 3%. The finance guy was fast, friendly and very helpful. Buying a car isn't a "fun" trip for us, but I wish we had stopped here first. We were in an out pretty quickly and left with a car that I am very happy with. Only thing is I forgot to check the CD player...which apparently ate the previous owners CD and and so it doesn't work and Enya is permanently in there...doh! Other than that, lol, we were very pleased with the service, forthcoming and direct approach of the team and the quality of the vehicle. read more

I was looking at a car on line all week with back and forth emails with the Internet Department . I told them I would be in after The Thanksgiving Holiday as I had the Flu . I did go in Black Friday and the car was not there. It was sold. Was this car ever there or was it a lost leader . This is a term that means they advertise a Car that is not on the lot and if fact never was. I Had sent many emails to Rodney in the Internet Department up until late Wednesday Afternoon . I did go over to the dealer on Friday 11/23/2012 and the car was not there as it was sold 11/23/2012 Wednesday Night. This was a 1997 White Ford Crown Victoria. I was at the dealer on 11/24/2012 and asked about the 2004 Ford Crown Victoria and it was at a different Location in Baker OR . I then said how convenient both cars are gone or not on the lot. If you did sell the 1997 Ford Crown Victoria we had many emails back and forth on this car why did you not email me back that the car was sold ? Before I went to the dealer I clicked on the Link for The 1997 Crown Victoria and I received The Computer Code #404 file missing or deleted . I then called live on Wednesday Afternoon and was told the car was there and to fill out the On line Trade in form and Loan Application. I never fill in On line Loan Applications as Computers can be hacked . I said I will try to come by this weekend and I did Friday 11/23/2012 . At that time I was told by Matt the sales manger the car was sold Wednesday. I asked why did anyone not email me that the car was sold which I had called and emailed Rodney on Wednesday ? They said it Sold Wednesday Night . Rodney or Matt if they did have the car should have taken 5 minutes and emailed me and told that the CAR Was SOLD " I know my price range and it is limited and they also advertised 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. I asked about this car and was informed it was in Baker OR. I did not bother to go there as I was misled once . I did not call my Credit Union on The 2004 Ford Crown Victoria as It may have sold to. Both Cars as off Friday Night 11/23/2012 are still listed as for sale and the add does not say the 2004 FORD CROWN VICTORIA is in Baker. I would not be surprised if they are both still listed on Saturday 11/ 24/2012 They tried to put me in a more expensive car but I know my limits. I will Never do Business with this dealer again unless I have know where else to go for Parts or to Rent a car. Do not do business with this dealer. The 1997 White Crown Victoria is still showing on the web Page as of Saturday 11/ 23/ 2012 and was sold 11/21/2012. read more
