Never in my career have I encountered a department as incompetent and unaccommodating as the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station. Since moving to this city, I have been assaulted twice--once by a driver who threw a bottle into my vehicle, striking me in the head, and another time inside the Trader Joe's on Milliken Avenue. Both times, the police did absolutely nothing. I have also contacted them regarding package thefts at my front door, individuals trespassing in my condo complex to steal identities, a suspect vandalizing Ring doorbells, and a half-naked man wandering through our community, and a gun packing maniac at my door threatening to take my house. WATCH VIDEOS Every single call was met with complete inaction.Ironically, the only time the department showed urgency was to serve me with frivolous Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) filed by a known, unstable individual who targeted multiple people. While the police couldn't be bothered to investigate actual crimes, they routinely stood outside my door armed to the teeth for up to 20 minutes to serve baseless civil paperwork. Fortunately, the courts finally declared this individual a vexatious litigant, resolving the issue without any help from law enforcement. Do not rely on this department if you need actual protection or assistance in Rancho Cucamonga.

After reading these comments, it is clear that the "commenters" do not understand the code requirements related to fire protection equipment inspection, testing and maintenance. It is unfair to complain about a company that is licensed by the state of California and is required by law to perform inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment in accordance with NFPA Standards. Further, per the California Fire Code, a business or property owner is required to maintain their fire systems and equipment serviced and certified. It is your responsibility to ensure this is accomplished on a regular basis. As a former Fire Marshal, I have written numerous violations to business and property owners for failing to maintain their fire protection equipment as required. If you take issue with phone calls from a fire protection company reminding you that your system is in need of service, be thankful. Most businesses do not keep up with their fire protection equipment and in some instances view this required service as an "inconvenience" or "unnecessary expense". With regard to service contracts, if you don't take the time to read them and later find out you don't like something, that is on you, not the contractor. If you don't like the language in the contract, address it before you sign it. Not every contractor is perfect. But in all fairness, nor are the businesses they service.
