I received a GC as a Xmas present so decided to try one of their 1 hour hair treatments. The treatment rooms are only semi-private, in that the sink area is shared between two rooms, so you can see into the room next to you. Not a big deal, but if you are expecting complete privacy/quiet, you should not expect it. For myself, it didn't matter, and I still found myself feeling deeply relaxed. I thought the service was pretty good. They spend probably 15 minutes going over your treatment plan and explaining their process and products. Yes, you still get a full hour of treatment time. I found the angle of the reclining chair a bit uncomfortable on my neck at first, but the head scrub was soooooo relaxing, it didn't matter much lol. They were running their Boxing Day sale, so the treatment came to $225 including taxes, but regular price would have been $300 incl taxes. While my scalp felt fantastic and my hair felt squeaky clean, I am not sure that it is worth $225- $300 plus tip, unless you had money to burn. But if you do have money to burn, or want to give yourself or someone an extravagant treat, then go for it. I think that if I did this treatment regularly, my hair might improve from the increased circulation, but I am not entirely convinced that it is their specific products and techniques vs someone rubbing your head with any kind of lotions/serums/oils and washing it lovingly for an hour, lol. One final note: absolutely DO NOT book this before going out for an event, as you leave with hair that has zero product in it, and will be blown dry as if your dad did it for you. As in, efficiently, but with zero attention to styling. So book this when you are planning on going home and flopping on the couch, lol. read more

My husband gave me a GC, and I was delighted. I've been wanting to come since we've come across it after eating at Linh Cafe. I booked online easy enough. I decided to go with the biowarmy facial peel. I had to come and have a patch test before my appointment which I thought was inconvenient at first because I didn't live anywhere near downtown but I was able to come by 5 days before while I was downtown and it was easy and quick. When I arrived for my appointment I was offered something to drink. The spa is small, nicely decorated, very calming, clean and staff were all very attentive and helpful. The treatment rooms are small. My technician Cindy was very nice, helpful and informative. I was asked about my skin and what I wanted from treatment I was about to receive. Cindy was very good and professional. The treatment I got was great. My skin felt amazing even days later I can tell it really helped. I was also surprised that they had a special on, 25% off facials which was a bonus. Overall it was a great experience and I will come back. I also really want to try their hair treatments. read more

I've been coming to Oo Spa since they opened in June and have always received excellent service here! I like the use of the all natural skincare products, and I've had skincare treatments from Sangja and Yoko. They have three treatment packages (refresh, renew and nurture) totalling 8 treatments. They take photos each time before and after the treatment so you can see your skin progress! Products are also gifted at the beginning of each package - I loved being gifted the myufull skincare products and towels (travel size and full size)! I'm on the last treatment package, which includes the biowarmy pack (a beeswax mask that feels like a wax) and revitalizing device (facial shocks). My skin definitely feels softer and brighter after the treatments. 5 stars because they recently added private rooms and a chair that reclines for their facials! This is a beautiful modern spa that is easy to get a hold of. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and to a cozy greeting area. They took my coat and personal items to my own room, took my drink order, and I was then greeted by my professional facial consultant who walked me through the 60 minute luxe facial treatment and the products they used. They ask to do a before and after photo of the treatment. Though they said they saw a difference after my treatment, I didn't quite see the same thing. However, my skin was definitely a lot more hydrated and firmer. Wonderful service and high-quality products used. I'm not much into facials so will be on the look out to see if they offer massage treatments. If you're into facials, would recommend checking OoSpa out for a splurge. read more

Oo Japanese Spa applies all-natural skincare products to its clients. You will be taking photos each time before & after the treatment. You can see the skin improvement from it. The staff were lovely and welcoming. I love the atmosphere and the little extras like tea and a space to relax before & after the treatment. WONDERFUL STAFF! It's a bit hard to find this place on the GPS. This location is under the bridge next to cafe Linh Staff here is kind and a accommodating. The facials are relaxing. A little bit overpriced for the services and wished they massage more Into the face. Usually facials I receive does a facial massage when applying products to the next and sometimes shoulders. For price I would expect to have similar services. The interior is beautiful for photos and videos to take. It's white and open concept. The first area is full of windows and they do cleansing before you go into another room. I would prefer this to be a process where you lay down and relax on the chair. They tell u to go to the sink to then rinse your face. It would be nice if they used a white towel to remove the cleanser while ur on the chair. Once cleansed they bring you to a second room. Don't trust their good reviews, this business is very shady, my review is just a regular review that is negative lol. Who knows what legal action they are talking about, I changed my name to anonymous to protect my own personal info and they assume it's the same alleged person who harassed them, I'm in my 20s fyi and I paid in full plus tip and did not ask for any refund. Original google review below, just cross-posting this so people realize how shady they are. Had a headspa treatment and it was pretty over priced for what it was. The scalp and arm massage was nice but nothing about the treatment really did anything for my hair. The worst part of the treatment is they divide a larger room into two with just a shelf. You can completely see through the shelf and hear other people receiving their treatments. It's not relaxing or enjoyable to hear someone's entire treatment during yours, nor does it give you much privacy. They cover your entire face with multiple cloths which seems unnecessary. I know they want to prevent water splashing but the cloth was suffocating, and even after asking for them to remove some it was still suffocating. They also put a moist warm cloth over my eyes but of course it won't stay warm for very long but they left a cold wet cloth over my eyes for an hour which was also not relaxing. Should have the common sense to remove it after a few minutes, or just skip it altogether. When they were rinsing my hair the water was borderline cold. They started the treatment with using one of those magnifier cameras to see your scalp but they scanned for maybe 30 seconds tops and then put the machine away without saying anything. At the beginning of the treatment they very briefly go over what they are going to do and then don't say anything else about what it is they are doing throughout the rest of the treatment. I believe at some point they use some sort of machine with special water that is very warm to deep clean but again they said absolutely nothing about what they were doing. That part felt better since it was warm unlike when they were rinsing my hair with cold water. The treatment ends with a shoulder and arm massage which was nice. Overall I do not recommend this treatment. They are overhyping it and I don't believe the other reviews to be true. There is no improvement to my hair and most importantly the treatment itself had so many negatives to the entire experience. read more
