This was my first time at Skoah and unfortunately will be the last time. The staff were welcoming, environment was calming, products used smelled nice, but the facial was nothing to write home about. The icing on the cake was when my facial was completed on a hot sunny afternoon, they did not have any sunscreen to apply! My jaw dropped when she said "I dont have any sunscreen". I booked/had the power plane facial. I was expecting a proper dermaplaning, the whole process with the 1-min extraction(literally) was so quick, I almost forgot it happened. After the warm reception at the front desk I sat waiting to be taken in, and while I was waiting, a lady had just finished with her appointment and she looked like she had just returned from planet Zen. She seemed so relaxed and grounded that I felt excited for her, and since it was my first time at this spa, it was a little reassuring. The space itself is exactly how it looks on their website. It's clean, serene and the staff are friendly and professional. I did my Power facial with Jessica and she was wonderful. What stood out for me was that the facial was completely catered to you personally and I don't just mean technical skin stuff, I mean in terms of experience. They make sure that your stay is 100% to your taste and liking. This is evident in several things that you'll see if you choose to go. I loved the fact that she asked me, before she even started, if I'd like to know about the products she was using on me, or if I'd prefer to have quiet time.....and I chose quiet time. The message chair was super comfortable, the music was at the perfect volume and the temperature was neutral with the option of having your heating pad on the bed turned on or off.....depending on your mood. First time guests receive $10 off their first treatment and $20 off their products which I appreciated. I mean there's not much else to say really...it was a great facial with great staff located in stunning Yaletown right by El Guapo......Margarita anyone after a facial? :) Thoroughly enjoyed my ME-TIME and walked home glowing with a big grin on my face just having returned from planet Zen. read more

Going to SKOAH has become part of my annual birthday tradition. I love the soothing atmosphere, friendly reception, and the personalized skin assessment/facial that they offer. This particular location is round the side of the TD Canada Trust Branch and ATM, if you're on Nelson walking towards Hamilton. For 2022, I ordered the Facialiscious Facial, which is a 75 minute client-focused facial complete with a skin assessment and rejuvenation, full body massage, and skin education so that you know how to continue maintaining the "skoah glow" that you will inevitable leave with. You receive a lip balm and a welcome note upon entering your room. I had the immense pleasure of being taken care of by Jessica McLay who was well-versed in all skin types, and especially darker skin tones. We had an invigorating conversation about AHAs and skin best practices which, coming from someone who knows NOTHING about skin care, was much appreciated. I especially loved her creative analogies as she explained why certain products were useful and critical to skin health. After my facial, she provided me with a hand-written note of all the things we discussed so that I can be empowered to experiment and figure out which would be best based on my skin's needs. I am making a point to list her name, because when I return (hopefully for my next birthday), I intend on booking my SKOAH facial with her. Speaking of birthdays, I received a 25% birthday discount which was also a nice touch to round off the high level of hospitality that I received. Do not go to Skoah!! I went in for a dermaplaning service and woke up the next day with dozens of deep deep cuts all across my chin, cheeks, jawline and forehead. I'm not new to dermaplaning as I've had it done over a dozen times at another spa. Unfortunately, the person I usually see was booked up for months in advance so I booked in at Skoah. I've been trying to get at least a refund for two weeks now. They promised to send a refund through e-transfer (what?) over 10 days ago and I still have not received it. Sarah, the regional manager, initially said they've sent it and it's out of their hands and in the hands of their bank. Then she changed her story the following day and said they sent the request for a refund in to accounting to get approval for a refund (again, I say what?). Refunds take seconds, maybe minutes. Not days, not weeks. This is 2023. I was massively injured and they have seen my face in person and through pictures I've sent and yet having them refund just the money I spent has been impossible. They've even admitted to the injuries. I have the voicemails, text messages and pictures for proof. Please reach out to me if you'd like to see the evidence. read more

Poor customer service! They start SPA service 5 mins late every time, even though I was already there on time or even earlier. I complained about this, then I was told I would get a $35 discount code. However, it took 2 weeks of badgering and phoning the store in order to finally get it. By the time they emailed me the code I had already left the country! After a few months I returned to Skoah to use my discount and was told it had already expired, except they never told me there was an expiry date! So at the store the store manager said she would send me a new code, but the headquarter had to approve it first blah blah blah. Furthermore, the discount could no longer be used on items, and could only be used on services ONLY, which is different than before. Now, It has been months again and they still have not sent the new code to me, even after several calls and emails to them. I don't think I will be returning to this location anymore, ever! read more

And then, I had my first facial in a long time... yes, the Facialicious. I knew it was good when I woke up during the facial massage... hope I wasn't drooling. Not only does it come with all the stuff you expect, but you also get a full leg and foot, arm and hand + scalp massage (although the scalp massage could have been 5 times as long). Between exfoliation, a couple of masks and an awesome facial massage, I was glowing... inside and out. The price might be a little steep ($100), but I thought it was worth it. You get a little body moisturizer to take home, and if you book another appointment they'll give you $20 off product purchases. And yes, I confess, I bought more. I'll be back for another "workout" for my face as soon as financially possible! read more

Friends have rave reviews about skoah, and I've never had a facial before, so decided to give the Power Facial ($90) a try. There is also a $25 off Jan promo for first time customers. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high, but it still was a nice experience. Face was glowing and refreshed afterwards. The massage component is quite short, incomplete extraction process was two mins tops (told there isn't enough time). Perhaps everything could've been extracted with a longer facial. Products smelled nice and were warm and the music was relaxing. Multiple things like masks, toner, serum and moisturizer were applied and my face is very happy. My qualm is that as the products were being put on my face, it was like I was being guided through their entire skoah product catalogue. May be good for those wondering what each product is, but I'd rather just find out at the end if I ask for it. read more

My friend and I were so excited to get a phase 3 facial after waiting for months. I had heard a lot of great things about this place so I booked. Booking was easy and the staff were nice. The actual facial was relaxing, but myself and my friend both had issues with our skin after. We opted for the peel, and expected to have a week healing time. But it's been two weeks and both of our faces are bumpy and extremely dry. I broke out more than I ever have (even more than when I was pregnant), and no amount of moisturizer seems to hydrate my face. My friend and I couldn't have more different skin- yet we reacted very similarly. We have both checked this off the list for places to go for facials due to this. read more

My facial was nice and relaxing. The technician seemed to know what she was talking about and their products do seem pretty nice. I liked that they followed up with my after my appointment. However, when I was getting my facial, I didn't feel like it was customized to my skin type since she didn't really tell me how my skin was and why she was using certain masks etc. specifically for my skin. I think if I didn't read some of the reviews here though, I wouldn't have really noticed this. What I'm really taking two stars off for is 1) the room I was in, you could see the pipes on the ceiling exposed as I was facing it. That really takes away from a relaxing environment/ambience since I prefer to feel like I'm being carried away from real life to some dream world during that hour. And 2) during most of my treatment, I could hear the girls outside (who work there) chattering and laughing etc. and that was ultimately so distracting. I really had a hard time relaxing and not focusing on that. I mean, if clients are spending $100 per visit, I just think that it's important for a business to have these things in order. read more

The first time I went to Skoah, I learned a new phrase: Facial Brain. Literally, I felt drunk afterwards. I was in such an extreme state of relaxation. I've never had regular facials but by god I plan to after this. I arrived a few minutes early, and the receptionist offered me some water. Boy do they like you hydrated. When my "skincare trainer" - they emphasize their brand as a work out for your face, a regular ritual like personal training or a dental cleaning - came out, and led me to a private room. It was set up like a massage parlor, with relaxing lights, a table (you lay face up), and... Most luxuriously... Sheets and a fabulous comforter. My "facial trainer" first asked about my skin, what products I use and issues I have. She then decided on the way forward for my "Xtreme" treatment, which took about an hour. She started by cleansing, then priming, then a wonderful exfoliant. As that set in she even gave my feet and legs a treatment. Whoa. I had trouble staying awake, I was in such a state of bliss. There was a moisturizing step, which was part of a facial massage. My trainer also squeezed out some small imperfections - pimples in progress. I was absolutely thrilled by the end. My face looked and felt like a soft shiny baby bottom. The products were amazing and I got some sage advice. Though my trainer did tour me through the products and suggest some, it was low pressure. Now, about those products - that's the reason I can't do five stars, though I really wanted to give that upgrade. I was in love with the exfoliating mask and cream cleanser. The trainer pointed me to the "retail version", and I bought it. But I later realized the products used in facial sessions and the retail products are not the same. The mask did not have anything close to the same feel or effect as the one during my session. I will definitely go back, but am sad the retail products don't seem to live up to the facial session quality. read more

ahhhh...hmmm I may update to a 4 - depends on how my second facial goes. My dear, dear friend Aerie got me a gift certificate to Skoah. She knows me too well. I miss her. I kept thinking how nice it would be if we had both gotten facials today and then headed to Flying Pig for dinner. Didn't happen. Sadface. Skoah reminds me a lot of Pure + Simple. They're on the same mission: quality facials at a good price point without skimping on attention and skill. They also both have their own products. You may think I'm biased because I LOVE PURE + SIMPLE. I proudly do. It's an eight year relationship that I'm not willing to let go of. They are THAT awesome. Amy is THAT awesome. But until they open here - WHICH THEY REALLY SHOULD - I have very few choices. And I'm thinking....Skoah is likely the best. Service was fantastic from the moment I emailed about an appointment, to the moment I walked in. My facial was also quite relaxing and effective. My skin is ah-glow. Personally, I didn't like my particular skin specialist. And I knew it before I even went in. The fact I've had more than 70 facials in my lifetime, makes it easy for me to read them before they even get started. I knew she was going to be lacking, and she did. She was mediocre. Her massage was just short of being good, which made it more annoying. She could have also been more diligent about analyzing my face and state something beyond the OBVIOUS, but the WORST part - she sells hard. If you remember, I don't like being sold. Skin products generally sell themselves. Not to mention you should really READ your customer and decide if she's the type you should pushing product onto. I read pretty easy. Don't sell to me. That said, I've booked in for another one because it's the closest thing to Pure + Simple I've found so far. But I've requested someone else. Listen, no one's going to fill Amy's shoes - they're GINORMOUS shoes to fill - but someone is bound to come a close second. read more

I came to Skoah after feeling like I needed some major rejuvenation and to just feel like my face could breathe again. Unfortunately, the best part of the already expensive treatment was the massage at the very end, which I only enjoyed for a few minutes since they docked about 10 or so for my late arrival (which I take full responsibility for, of course - I just find it odd that they didn't even try to accommodate me a little!). I believe facials usually involve some amount of extractions? Instead I was told it all looked fine and she just continued with the rest of the treatment. I had to tell her about a few spots I was aware of, and came back home to continue giving myself my own extractions that were clearly needed! Bleh... I feel bad for spending all that money on something I felt was not worth it at all. read more

I have two dislcaimers for my review: 1) I am not an avid facial receiver - I've had maybe 3 my entire life, many years ago. 2) I don't place a lot of significance on ambiance/environment. That being said, this was awesome! After searching on yelp for a good place to get a facial, I called the Skoah South Granville location and booked an appointment for 2:00pm today for a facialiscious facial. I was asked to arrive a few minutes early to fill out some forms. When I got there the location was clean, bright, and smelled nice. The blue labeling of their products along with the white and wood decor was very calming and pleasant to look at. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who went over the details of all the different facials with me. I decided to use the washroom before my facial. Although there is only one - a unisex one - it is very clean, extremely spacious, and the hand soap and hand lotion provided beside the sink smells delicious. I was led into the treatment room, which was on the smaller side but definitely manageable. I undressed fully and put my belongings in a basket. I also opened the sample lotion left on the bed for me and smelled it - because I like to smell everything (I don't know why, it's always been a habit). My esthetician, Stephanie, was a very nice woman who explained the facial step by step. It was overall extremely relaxing and extremely enjoyable. She started off by gently cleansing my face, then applied an AHA exfoliating mask. I've never tried any AHAs before, and it was a little tingly, but in a pleasant way. It smelled like peppermint. While the AHA mask did its job, Stephanie massaged my lower legs and feet - I basically melted and became one with the table. After removing the AHA mask, Stephanie covered my eyes and took a closer look at my skin under a bright light. She did some light extractions (that weren't painful), and noticed I had some dryness around my chin area. She explained that although you can drink a lot of water, the skin is the largest organ and often times doesn't get enough moisture. So she customized the rest of my facial to focus on replenishing moisture from the exterior. After extractions, Stephanie massaged on a calming mask. Next she massaged my arms and hands - again, I melted into the table. She then massaged on a moisturizing honeydew mask (at least, that's what I think it was) that smelled SO GOOD. She gave me a gentle facial massage, lightly drumming her fingertips all over my face, and also massaged the mask into my neck, chest, and shoulders. After removing the moisturizing mask, Stephanie applied an oil free serum to prevent any scarring from the extractions, and topped me off with a moisturizer. She then told me to take my time and enjoy the relaxation of the bed and she would meet me in the front whenever I was ready. I don't feel like my esthetician pushed any products on me at all, or tried to sell me with anything. She was really informative and I actually learned a lot about my skin and skin in general. I ended up buying the AHA mask and the honeydew mask. And after that wonderful experience, I am FOR SURE going to become a facial gym member. For $500 upfront you can receive 60 minutes of facial time per month, or $50 per month charged to your credit card. Stephanie explained that most people use these 60 minutes for a power hour facial, which is regularly priced at $70. You also receive 10% off all products, any time you wish. It's a good savings, and a really nice way to not only treat yourself once a month to relaxing me time, but to take good care of your skin. All in all, for a 1 hour and 15 minute facialiscious facial, along with an AHA mask and a honeydew mask, I paid $194 (including tax, excluding tip). I have been to Skoah in Yaletown a couple times and have really enjoyed both experiences. Skoah is a very modern spa and has a bit of a clinical feel to it. To me it feels very clean and pristine which is a good thing when you have to fully undress and slip into the sheets! One thing I loved was the downy comforter they wrap you in before the facial begins. This is especially great on a dreary, rainy Vancouver day! The products they use for their facial are the Skoah house line all of which smell divine. Staff is very friendly and down to earth. They also have a good customer retention program which allows for discounts when multiple facial are purchased upfront. I love me some Skoah, and this is my regular location. I've been coming here monthly or bi-monthly since 2009. This is the only spa I've returned to on a regular basis because it isn't frou frou, it's clean, the staff are fun, and the treatments are effective. I find the treatments and products to be reasonably-priced. And those beds.. my stars, I want one in my house. Over the years, my skin has gone from "help me!!!!" to "bitch, I AM fabulous!" I started my introducing one skin care item at a time, and was eventually using their entire skincare line. I've since switched a few items here and there and my skin looks and feels consistently great. read more

I am actually quite surprised it took me this long to try Skoah...I would consider myself to be someone who is an avid spa visitor and know enough about what to/not to do regarding my skin as I have been getting facials for a few years now (one every 3 months or so). That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to like the treatment I received here as much as I did! First off, I am not someone who likes the type of facial where they massage your face with a bunch of products and send you on your way.... although it is extremely relaxing I need more benefits than just the relaxing factor. I expected Skoah to be like one of those facials, the "relaxing but non beneficial/doesn't improve my skin much" facial but again, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong :) What I got: facialiscious 75 mins / $120.00 I never expect a facial to do any miracles for my skin, mostly because I don't have problem skin to begin with. The facial is extremely relaxing, it's not a medical facial so it's in a room with dimmed lights and you even get a leg/arm massage, bonus!! The products are non irritating and the esthetician I had was highly knowledgeable, she answered all my questions and gave me a few tips. I love that their products are made in Vancouver and they really stand behind their brand, products and value. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the results - my skin was glowing and I was left feeling reenergized. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think if you have problem skin you may need something more substantial. In my opinion the facials at Skoah are for pure relaxation / maintenance if you already have decent skin but I might be wrong.... I will have to try it a few more times to be the judge!!! read more

Oh, Skoah. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... I had my first facial at Skoah last summer. It was the facialiscious, and boy was it amazing. It was 75 minutes of pure bliss, and my skin looked incredible at the end. My technician was down to earth and personable, and I liked how she never tried to push the products on me. Mind you, she didn't need to -I bought them of my own accord. I love how un-fussy the decor is, with the minimalist design and the exposed pipes and beams. Very Scandanavian. I also love their "no whale-music" policy. This is easily the best place to get a facial in Vancouver. Not to mention, it's a Vancouver-based business. Now THAT's gotta make you feel good. read more

I LOVE Skoah!! I'd been to many places before, and am now a loyal client, and user of their products. I love that their staff are extremely knowledgeable, and have advice for any skin problem you may have (or may not even know about!!) Depending on your service, some come with neck and shoulder massages, such a relaxing add on, in my opinion. And others during the winter months have foot rubs to give a little love to tender tootsies. I have also had the pregnancy belly facial - they apply product to your belly, for when your skin has stretched to it's limits, and feels horrid, and includes a foot/ankle massage for swollen kankles. I also love that after a facial, they are happy to give you a whirl with the make up products, so you leave feeling, and looking like a million dollars! I'm also a lover of the products, the gel cleanser is amazing, one little squirt and it gets off all the make up, the dirt and grime, and leaves my skin feeling soft, and hydrated. It also lasts a lot longer than most of my other cleansers ever did, 2 squirts a day goes a really long way!! The moisturizers are also great, I love the one with a sunscreen mixed right in. And again, it goes a really long way. If I had to recommend a spot for a facial, or even if someone was looking for a beauty product, I would without a doubt tell them about Skoah. read more

I just had my second Facial at Skoah (Facialiscious) and it was just as good as my first one (Xtreme Facial). From the moment you walk in the door, you're treated warmly and professionally. I'm not sure what I love best about the experience: -Comfy douvet to lie under and a heated blanket to keep my toasty -Soothing music, nothing Enya-like -Great smelling products that feel great. -Relaxing massage (leg, hands, arms AND scalp) All in all, an experience I recommend for anyone. They make great presents (I received both my facials as gifts). I just wish I could go more often, but it's a bit pricey. I went there for facial cleaning and I specified that I need a deep cleaning. She did some extractions, but not enough. My face is not soft and clean. I have still lots of blackheads left. Skoah is amazing! My first ever facial was NOT at Skoah, and it was awful. So it took me a few years to work up the courage to get another one, and I figured Skoah would be the place to do it. Boy was I right! The experiences were like night and day. Skoah has a no nonsense feel while also being super relaxing. My skin looked and felt fantastic afterwards, and I got lots of useful tips for how to maintain my skin at home. I got the Facialicious, and it was sublime. I didn't realize it, but it also includes leg, foot, AND scalp massage. But here's the kicker: I ended up buying their AHA mask exfoliant, and after using it at home I realised my skin has a sensitivity to it. Unfortunately this was a full month after I bought it, so I wasn't hopeful...but since it wasn't cheap, I phoned to ask them about it anyway. And guess what? They said anytime within 60 days I can return it no questions asked. Now THAT's service! I'll be exchanging it for something else that works for me, and I will DEFINITELY be going back for another facial sometime. Thanks, Skoah! read more

The first time I went to Skoah I wasn't very impressed. The girl did an ok job and there was so much noise coming from upstairs that it was hard to relax. I decided to give them another chance and I'm so glad I did. Ashely was fantastic! I told her that I wasn't very happy with the last facial I got and she totally made up for it. Would highly recommend Skoah for those that have never had a facial, and those that always have facials at a typical spa. Skoah specializes in just facials and use all their own products. The ingredients are natural and made locally here in Vancouver. The spa is very calm and crisp feeling. They play great music, not babbling brooks.... I hit Skoah every 4-6 weeks for a workout - I would consider myself a regular. I can now tell when my skin needs a pick me up! I often have the Facialicisious, which is perfect for your first time - a little more expensive, but really worth it - it feels like you are being pampered forever. My second favorite is the Power Hour, my more regular facial. I use many of their products, which of course they try to upsell, but not overly so. Their masks (aha and klearity) and turbo tonik toner are your best bets. Lisa is my facial regular and she is really fantastic - She always remembers details about me and chats the perfect amount of time. read more

Hi Skoah, I love you. After bouncing around Vancouver for my facials I committed to this place and I love it! I'm on the monthly membership; it's relaxing, it's convenient, and my skin has never looked better. They tweak each facial for what can be happening for your skin at that time and for me, that has helped minimize any breakouts or dry spells. I switch up my facials, but I'm a lover of the power or the double dose. For someone with sensitive, dehydrated skin these leave me with a glow. The staff are all fab, knowledgeable and friendly. I've started switching my products over the last year and I haven't had a dud yet. The prices are reasonable and the products are effective. My only improvement for Skoah - switch from the pots to tubes or pumps please! I do worry about air or contaniment exposure. read more

I tried this place for the first time a few weekends ago, it was great. I liked that it didn't have spa waterfalls everywhere - and no Enya! I opted for the Extreme Facial, which has extras like a leg, foot and scalp massage. My facialist was super nice and sweet, and let me relax after a basic intro. I've had a few chatty facialists in my time and it is awkward - do I say something, do I just ignore them? I liked that she told me each thing as she did it though. I also didn't feel pressured to buy the products, but she listed things that would be good for my skin type and let me know what she used. I loved the products, especially the redness mask, and while everything smelled amazing, it didn't feel perfumey or heavy, and my skin looked great afterwards. As a finishing touch, she asked me if I wanted some makeup, which I thought was nice, although I turned it down as I was just heading home. I have rebooked my second appointment and can see myself becoming a regular here. read more

I consider myself a wee bit of a facial connoisseur, okay bi-weekly facials might make me more of an addict than a connoisseur, but in any case, I am definitely qualified to give good facial feedback. Now I have been to numerous other establishment throughout the years (the pursuit of the perfect facial has taken years of dedication) and I have to say since the very first time I received a facial at skoah I was hooked. skoah is all about the business of good skincare, they don't side tracked with a bunch of unnecessary pomp and pageantry. They give you all the relaxation of a high end spa, without the superficial, stuffy feel. They are laid back, relaxed and easy to talk to, but don't get me wrong, when it comes to skincare they are on the top of their game. I have seen a few different skoah krew members, Ashley and Lisa most regularly. Both are amazing, they really will take the time to let you know what you can be doing at home to keep up that skoah afterglow and they both will tweak my facial if my skin is being particular fussy. skoah also has loyalty rewards and depending on the type of facial you get you can get either $10 or $20 toward product your next visit, when you book your next appointment at the end of your current one. I personally get the "Power Hour" facial, which is just this amazing super charged facial that focuses on skincare, I leave the spa literally glowing. skoah does a great job of getting through those pesky extractions with no steam! I truly enjoy my visits to skoah and have converted at least three friends to make regular visit as well. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to dive into the wonderful world of facials! read more

I've never been to a facial before and when groupon featured Skoah I thought to myself "why not?". The receptionist was very friendly and the aesthetician was very nice as well. It was relaxing and getting pampered felt awesome (being a mother to a toddler getting me time is hard to get). Afterwards, aesthetician told me about their products and what she used. I know this is a gimmick to push their products but I bought their products anyways. I bought their AHA mask and honeydew mask. They are pricey but I really liked how my skin felt after the facial. I was worried that I was going to get breakouts after the facial but that wasn't the case. (I've heard of people's first facial experiences and how they had horrible breakouts). If you want loud talking throughout the facial, an unskilled aesthetician and to be left alone for 15 minutes during your over priced facial come here. You can also expect high pressure sales techniques throughout the facial. I am seriously so annoyed that my money was wasted. For my 75 minute facial I got a cleanse, an exfoliating mask, about 2 minutes of extractions then a calming mask... Are you kidding? Also their products have unsanitary packaging (few pumps and lots of tubs). This place is basically a retail joint... The skin gym is an excuse for poor interior decorating and minimal service. I've never had a massage that I haven't liked so I can't write about the 3 massages I've had there because they were both relaxing and I think I fell asleep for one of them. Facials were ok. I go somewhere else in Vancouver for my facials because I felt my esthetician at the other spa really understood my skin more. But the 4 stars are for the products. I'm a product ahem.... whore, where I've said it. My closets are filled with department store and mystery creams from my travels in my search for the stuff that works. I love love love the quality natural ingredients that they put into their products and I'm sensitive to fragrances but their line is just right. Here is my experience with SKoah : On July 12, 10 am, I was at Skoah Yaletown, Vancouver, Canada, for a Power facial treatment, which included extractions ( which was the main reason for my appointment). Amanda was the professional who took care of my treatment. Her massage was great but her extraction was lacky (she worked on my nose but barely touched the rest of my face). Right after I have left the clinic, I received a survey, where I wrote what I felt. Two days later, as I had not received any response, I wrote an email to yaletown@skoah.com to understand if I had not understood what the treatment was all about and what my experience was like. The following day, I wrote the same message to feedback@skoah.com. No messages from them. The following day I left a message on their facebook page. A few hours later I received a message from Madeleine, the Vancouver Area Manager, who basically wrote: "First, I would like to sincerely apologize that no one reached out sooner to you. I personally had not received your feedback survey that was sent in, so I will follow up as we have a new feedback platform we are switching to... I would love the opportunity to turn this around for you. I have added a complimentary upgrade on your profile with us, as well as a credit for our sonic wand! The sonic wand will be able to help ease out extractions, as well as product penetration during massage." So, I understood that in order to have a real extraction procedure, I would have to pay for another treatment with a discount? I wrote to her asking this question, plus all my frustration with this and so far, July 20, NOTHING!. If you are reading this, good luck with your choice !! read more

The facial was lovely and I'm a fan of the products but I gave it a lower rating because I was too greasy to put my clothes back on. I literally used the sheets to wipe the product off of my arms, leg and back there was so much. I walked home feeling gross and took a shower. With that said, the actual experience was great, love the products, but I don't need a tub of it on my legs read more

Have a facial treatment here and I was concerned there is one blackhead at my face I need to removed. I specifically told the girls to try to removed it. And after finished my facial treatment my blackhead is still there. I just so disappointed with the services. read more

I am a very low maintenance girl, but as I age I start to think about my face a little more. So I've decided to go have a facial at Skoah and had the Facialicious treatment. The technician's name I had was Lisa. She was very gentle and informed me of the mask and the key ingredients in each item that was put on my face. The room was spacious and relaxing. The beds have a heat pad underneath which keeps you nice and toasty. I love it, but at the same time I don't have a lot of money. The facial is $100 per visit and last about 1 hr. A little steep for someone like me. For budget concious people like myself though, they have a facial pass that you can buy which can get you savings. read more

I recently came in for a pregnancy facial (I forget the fancy name for it) but it includes a regular facial with some attention to your baby bump. I was thrilled to get in so quickly (within 30 min - but they need a credit card just in case you don't show up which is understandable).... I got there just in time (being super pregnant and walking can be hard to get around the city at times), and I was told I would be met by my technician. I checked out their bathroom, then when I came out, my cheerful tech was waiting for me. She took me in to one of the nearby facial rooms and closed to door to give me the run down. She told me to take off any jewelry, my bra and tights preferably (make sure to do so if you want to be more comfortable!) and left the room so I can get settled in. I got undressed and hopped in the bed quite quickly, tucked myself in and tried to get comfy. (Hard to do with my growing stomach!) I felt like I waited there for over 5 min... I kept adjusting my position to get comfortable, putting my legs to one side then the other. Finally my esthetician came in the room and explained what she was going to do and got started. Her hands were amazing, the application of the product was really nice... The massage was fantastic and extractions we're really needed but she tried when she looked at my skin under the lamp. When she left to room to get more product though, I feel like she left for way too long. It would be a waaaaay more relaxing facial and more efficient if the estheticians didn't have to leave the room. I got uneasy while she was gone and kept wondering how long I would be waiting for. I assume it's for inventory control as they are not keeping it in the rooms... Once she finally came back I was back in relaxation mode and fell in and out of sleep. If you're pregnant, especially in the last 2 weeks of your pregnancy, I suggest they try to cater the bed for pregnant ladies a little more. Try more pillows around the knees or the bed up a little more. Other than feeling like you're left alone for a bit longer than you should and the bed situation, it was a pretty awesome facial. I ended up buying just the sweet love body kream because I just loved the smell of it when she was massaging me with it! And it was not too pricey.... Especially after paying $130 just for the facial (it costed me $15 more just for her to rub a masque on my belly, then take it off and apply a moisturizer!) I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the two main factors. I even bought 2 gift cards for my friends to enjoy on their bday's. Might be back myself! read more

So I was a bit skeptical about the whole facial treatment at Skoah, but since I bought a Groupon, as a b-day treat, I justified to myself, why not? I was quite impressed with their attentive, customized service, very relaxing ambience and a feel-like-a-million bucks facial. I ended up purchasing their AHA mask, and hydradew mask. My skin is like buttery soft! and no redness (I have sensitive skin) I tell you, the exfoliation (AHA) works wonders! I have now drunk the Skoah kool-aid - ack! And if you're not happy with the results you can get a full refund or exchange withing 60 days for their products. That is truly an unbeatable policy! They're a little pricey for a monthly treatment, but for a once in a while treat for yourself, it's FABULOUS! read more

Skoah has always brought out the glow in my skin. I have struggled with sensitive skin, acne and flakiness in the past, and when I first went to Skoah, I just went with the hopes that things would improve just a wee bit. When I emerged, it was with better skin and tools to keep it that way. My roommate remarked later that I was looking "very glowy" which is not something I associate with my skin! My facial was so relaxing! It was winter and the snuggly duvet was just divine. I was able to talk very openly about my concerns with the esthetician; she gave me some great advice. I have been back for further facials and I do use many of their products, which work well for me. When I've used a product that didn't turn out well, I had no problem obtaining a refund. However, it's not cheap and they do encourage the use of their products. I've never had any problem turning them down when I've not needed anything. read more
