Bo is such a nice lady. She took care of my gel manicure and regular pedicure. She took her time and did terrific work--very detailed. I am extremely pleased with her work and service. The salon was dirty. The water faucet fixture was broken, and the floors and countertops looked as if they had not been dusted or cleaned in a long time. Pro: they stay open until 6pm on Sundays CONS: you ask for one thing and they give you the total opposite and get snooty when you ask them to fix it. Asked for 3 colors to do the French style with and the lady with the aggressive glasses just huffed and said 3 colors! Um. This is my go-to nail salon as I live and work on the North side of Indianapolis. I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes. I've had several gel manicures, regular manicures and pedicures. Usually I'm very satisfied but this last time I went, my gel nail color has become discolored after 5 days. Very frustrating. This was my first visit to this salon. I went on Saturday for a pedicure and nail dip, by Monday two of my nails were broke. I called and Kim told me to come back and she would make the repairs. I left for vacation Thursday and by Sunday four more nails broke. I'm beyond frustrated because these are my actual nails. I am now left searching for a new place to save what's left of my nails. The lady who did my manicure was very rude to me. When I mentioned that she missed painting the sides of my nails she got offended. She asked if it was ok, I told her that she didn't go all the way down on my nail with the polish. She said...well I can but don't you complain when I get on your cuticle. I simply asked why she was being so rude. She proceeds to go off on me and jump out her chair when I said the polish was bumpy. This was my first visit here and will NEVER return. So so rude. I decided to go here after doing some research for a salon that was going to be close to all the activities I had planned for the day. The manicure and pedicure were not bad. I was disgusted by the fact the nail tech dried my feet with the same towel that was covered in nail and cuticle trimmings and don't get me started on how gross the towels were in further inspection. I also didn't really feel pampered like I do at most places but the nail tech did a good job on the Polish and shape of my nails. But here's the true kicker at the end of it I was charged $65 and normally I always tip 20% unless I don't feel I got extraordinary service (and it doesn't take much for it to be extraordinary for me I'm simple). I decided to tip $10. I looked at my bank statement only to find that they decided $15 was more of what they'd like to see in a tip. I unfortunately don't have the receipt because I've never had this issue before but I'm very disappointed not because I can't afford the extra five dollars but because the people here took it upon themselves to take it. read more

This is the dirtiest salon I have ever been to. I only needed a regular manicure, and as I sat looking around saw dust, dirt, overflowing drawers, boxes everywhere. I called this nail salon on Saturday because I could not get ahold of anyone at my usual spot. I have been to Ooh La La a few times in the past and my experiences are always great, but this time it was exceptional. So exceptional I had to write my first Yelp review about them! Since COVID hit, most nail salons in Indy have required that guests make appointments to prevent crowds that walk-ins can sometimes cause. I called at 4 pm and was nervous they wouldn't be able to get me in, but after only 2 phone rings my call was answered and a friendly woman said I could come in and receive help right away. Once I got there, I was immediately greeted at the door. It was nice to see that even though the nail salon was busy, they were properly staffed and had people answering phones and greeting guests promptly. Now I have to mention the décor. It is BEAUTIFUL! The facility is clean and everyone was following COVID safety measures by wearing masks and providing hand sanitizer at the front desk. The salon has so many manicure and pedicure stations that I doubt customers have to wait often. The pedicure seats looked so comfortable and each manicure station was set up with a large cozy chair. I should also mention that I have been getting my nails done since I was 15. I love going to my usual spot because they know how to do Dip nails fast, so I was shocked when Ava, the nail technician at Ooh La La, finished my nails in less time than I was used to. She did an incredible job and I left feeling so happy with the way my nails looked! The only reason I have not frequented this spot more in the past is that it is 20 minutes from my house, but after this experience I have definitely considered making this my go-to nail salon from now on. When this place first open it was EXTREMELY nice. I went there for about 2 years until my regular nail tech opened her own salon. Well, I went back due to my nail tech being out the country for 6 weeks. Let's just say it went down hill. I waited about 10 to be seated in a chair to be serviced. They lady that did my pedicure was nice put my nails weren't even when she finished. The lady that did my gel manicure did not make sure my nails were all even. I'll more than likely never be back here. My girlfriend and I stopped in to get a fill in and for her to get a gel mani. The woman doing her mani cut her with the cuticle cutters and proceeded to try and continue the service saying "it's ok". It is actually against health code to continue performing a service on a client if you've cut them; as you need to disinfect the utensils and the area itself. (I'm a cosmetologist so I know the board rules & nail salons fall under the same health board as hair salons) The woman kept trying to do the service while my friend was calm and telling her she couldn't do it anymore. She got up and walked out and they kept trying to offer her a free polish. On to my service, as you can see from the picture attached the woman did a HORRIBLE job cleaning out from underneath my nails. I was also charged $45 for a fill in and a polish which is ridiculous. The only time I've ever paid that much for my nails is when I get a full new set put on. I've also had my nails just over a week and they're so thin they are breaking already I won't be back. read more

I went here to get dip polish removed and my fingernails have never hurt more. The technician left my hands to soak in pure, hot acetone for 30min while she attended to another customer. The bowl of acetone was atop a heated plate and luckily the technician at the station next to me realized that it was probably way too hot. When my tech came back, she was very aggressive with my very weak (bc of acetone) nails, didn't shape them properly, and didn't even fully remove all of the dip (although did did scratch at my nails with her own...). The technician soaked my hands in a bowl of cold water for the manicure and told me to soak one hand at a time for one minute each. I've never been offered a mani in cold water. Canceled the pedicure, would have walked out but my dry cuticles needed clipping. The place is filthy. No paper towels to dry your hands. The technician kept rubbing her nose while servicing me. They take appointments and any walk ins are usually stuck with a wait so I do recommend making one in advance. As for nail techs--Ava is the best! Nails, nails, nails, nails, nails I do adore :) that is what I was singing in my head when I left Oh la la - I felt like a Hollywood celebrity in this nail shop. My mom and I were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and a fridge full of bottled water - whhhhaaaat!!!?!?!?!? So cool :) I'm a sucker for the little things! While we waited in the oh-so-cute lobby we chose our nail color. It was a nice touch that they had the new hello kitty OPI nail colors... I'm not one to care about hello kitty, however the colors they have in their collection is perf for classy souls! When we got called back, i chose the basic pedi for $27 because it had a massage and hot towels with it. The quick pedi was $23, for the extra $4 it was worth it! Of course I had to go to the bathroom (I always do, just so I can tell the world my bathroom experiences for Yelp purposes) and the bathroom was so cute and clean! That's always a nice touch!
