Every time I have driven here it is closed. They do not keep normal business hours. Don't waste your time

It's fairly lengthy (yes more lengthy than this review) and strenuous but I believe it's only right to share my story regarding my experience with this business and my artist, Miriam. I initially came to her wanting microblading done because I grew up during the 'thin brow fad' in the 90s and I rarely wear makeup so I wanted a more "natural yet maintenanced" look. I will be the first to say that in the cosmetic world, I am very naive and uninformed though I tried to educate myself on this specific procedure but I partially believe she may have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge. The entire process has been a complete upset and it's such a shame because the ladies were so nice while being in their presence but there was a huge lack of concern/care once I left the office (both times) and the reality of the results set in. I would text picture updates and ask questions about my healing phase and never got responses back, I called the business and also tried contacting her via Instagram where we originally met/talked. Nothing. She would actively post stories on her account but couldn't take the time to respond to a worried client.... since I was not getting any replies from my own artist, I went to a handful of others in the area with my questions regarding my results and they have all claimed that instead of microblading, Miriam looked to have attempted a tint & shade or powderbrow instead which is very frustrating for me because I showed her countless Before and After photos of women with thin eyebrows like mine and the look I wanted.. needless to say that's not what I got in return. I truly feel like I was robbed of my money and on top of that, I still decided to OVERtip her each session for her time even though her and I both knew I would leave unsatisfied and uneasy about things. At the end of the day, I'm MORE disappointed with the lack of compassion and attentiveness from my artist than I am the actual results.... and that's saying ALOT seeing how they turned out. Looking back on the situation I 100% believe it was all about the money and not having pride in her work and wanting to make things right. It took a lot of time, courage, trust and budgeting for me to finally take the steps to do this procedure and my heart is completely broken about how everything played out. I would also like to add that I know this ink is different than regular tattoos but I am tatted up and never had this issue with ink being pushed out, as she claimed happened. Also, I feel like she always danced around the issue and gave me the run around instead of being honest about my situation until everything was said/done and paid for. I naturally have dry skin and refrained from any type of excersing for 2 weeks after each session to assure I did not irritate or disrupt the healing process... in retrospect I just wish I would've put that money to better use. $700 down the drain. The result speaks for itself. Lesson learned

She was highly communicative and very patient by taking the time to also walk me through good after care. My lashes turned out amazing. They have the volume I was looking for and we will play with some other options during my next fill. So far I have barely lost any lashes which is a big change from my initial extensions elsewhere. The atmosphere is very professional and relaxing. Whitney is such a down to earth person who makes the experience feel like a mini vacation away from the stresses of life. I ALWAYS look forward to my lash fill appointments for some much needed 'me' time. I love that Whitney always listens to what I want, but also can make a professional decision on what can take my lash goals to the next level. I get so many compliments on my lashes and how natural they look. We went a bit more dramatic this time and I am absolutely in love!! I highly recommend Gloss and Mane for the lashes of your dreams!!

I genuinely do not like leaving bad reviews, especially because I've been coming here for almost…read moretwo years, but today was quite literally my final straw. I've gone here consistently since moving to St. Louis for haircuts, root touch-ups, color, all of it. I also truly do not care who I'm assigned to. I'm not one of those clients who needs one specific stylist every single time. I just expect basic communication, decent service, and for my appointment to actually make sense when I arrive. Coordination! Unfortunately, the vibe here has always felt off The front desk is rarely welcoming. Half the time, no one greets you, acknowledges you, or makes you feel like they are happy you're there. The energy can feel very cliquey, dismissive, and honestly kind of performative. It gives "we're all a family here," but somehow the client is not included in the family. I've overlooked a lot because I liked the actual hair services. I've waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before. I've had appointments moved around. One time, I was sent to the Webster Groves location, got there, and was then told I actually needed to go to Des Peres because they could not take me. Like...okay gas?? But today was what officially did it for me. I booked a root touch-up before a photo shoot tomorrow and a trip next week. I sent pictures and a description of what I wanted directly to the stylist beforehand. I've also had this exact type of service done through this salon multiple times, usually for around $250, so this was not some random mystery appointment. I arrived and waited around 30 minutes to be assisted, only to then be told it would cost over $400. And to be very clear, I am not asking anyone to lower their prices, undervalue their work, or change their hourly rate for me. Charge whatever you charge. That is fully your business. My issue is: why was none of this communicated nor coordinated before I showed up? You had my appointment details. You had the pictures. You had my description. You had my client history from the past two years. If the service was now going to cost almost twice what I normally paid, or if I had supposedly booked the wrong category, somebody should have figured that out before I arrived, waited 30 minutes, and left with absolutely nothing done. Even the stylist seemed surprised by how I had apparently been charged or categorized during previous appointments, which honestly just made the whole situation feel even more disorganized. That is an internal coordination issue, not something that should suddenly become the client's emergency while they are sitting in the chair So now I have a photo shoot tomorrow, a trip next week, and no hair did or done because this salon could not communicate beforehand. After nearly two years of being a loyal client, I'm done overlooking the rude front desk energy, the scheduling confusion, the long waits, and the constant lack of coordination. The actual talent may be there, but the overall experience is not. I will not be coming back. Respectfully, the vibes are not worth $400+.
