Since this place opened they have a little table outside with amazing dog treats. We live ten blocks away and my dog heads right to this spa every time we leave the house. And all the women who work here smile at us from the window. Thanks for sparking joy in a simple way. In a crazy world, it truly is things like this that make it all worthwhile.

I tried growing them out in 2025, but after that, I just couldn't figure out how to shape them AT ALL! So I had the bushiest catapillars. I was worried about over plucking (it took a year to grow them back!) and found a solution where they let me do a tinting and mapping so I could just shave them when I got home. And after I shaved them, I was very impressed! I feel like they are back to how I like them, but couldn't figure out how to get to on my own for years. It's like a constant fusteration and anxiety has totally evaporated. I also found the service very relaxing, it made me feel like I was going to fall asleep lol. Definitely book here if you've been having long term struggles like me, or you just want someone to take the load off of filling in your eyebrows every day! I'm going to try to return--$35/$50 (for a tint/tint and map) every six weeks to not have to worry about if my eyebrows are uneven or if I shaped them right is so worth it!

Things I didn't know before I've met Leila: - Threading hair…read moreunderneath your eyebrow isn't good for your skin at all!!! Don't do it! We only supposed to use tweezers in that sensitive and thin area. Only do threading on the top of the eyebrow, not under. -Places where they thread your eyebrows in less then 10-15 minutes are not really assessing the shape of your face features to give you the best results for YOU. They copy & paste the same shape on each client. In and out the door in 10 minutes? No no no. Stay away from these type of threading salons. They want to see as many clients as possible to maximize profits, and won't give you the attention you need. I highly recommend Leila for brow threading and shaping. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and authentic. She takes her time with each client to insure him or her the best results. When we met for the first time she made some observations on my eyebrow shape that made a positive impact on my overall appearance. Leila takes the time to discuss what she sees and is passionate about her craft. I've been going to different threading salons for the past 10 years and she is absolutely the BEST. Worth every penny. I've never tried her plant-based facials but heard they are excellent. As for parking, there are plenty of metered parking spots around the salon.

Awful confession time: I'm a grown-a** woman, who until, a week ago had never had her legs waxed. There. I said it. Go ahead judge me. (Screams shrilly: "You don't know me!!") Yep, Bic and me are tight. Homies... but like many teenage friendships we just kinda stopped hanging out. We could blame that slick hussy, Venus, but really, we, (I mean, "I") out grew the relationship. (snicker). So with a trip to sunny Desert Hot Springs and my, ahem, "winter coat" over-staying well into spring time... I rationally decided, "B*tch got to go". I was nervous and apprehensive. My god. What to look for? Would it be clean? I tense up when I'm nervous and uncomfortable, wouldn't that hurt more? What if the wax made me break out like the filthy facial waxing I got a few months ago? Would my pale, ashy, Portland Womyn Hippie Leg Forest be judged? OH GOD THE ANXIETY!! And then, I spotted Jae and Leona. Actually a friend, (a gentleman cocoa connoisseur, no less) suggested I try his friend's spa treatment establishment. (All this months ago) I'd dropped by to check it out, but chickened out and forgot all about it, until... the trip! Nope- the Ani Di Franco look wasn't gonna cut it. (Love ya Ani!) So I puffed deep on my inhaler to settle the oncoming asthma-anxiety attack and made an online appointment. $65 for the ol' gams. Not bad. The quaint, upscale rustique storefront is very welcoming and soothing. Julia was warm and sweet, funny, and disarming. She knew I was internally freaking out and walked me through the process, her background, and the wax to be used. She gave me time to prep and lay down with a warm towel for modesty (blush). And set out to soothe my concerns with news of the day, chit chat, and answering any questions I had. The whole process was a lot less painful than I expected, maybe because Julia said it was fine if I had to cuss or stop, or needed a sip of water, etc. Every time the warm sugar wax came off, she massaged the spot to quell any sting. The candles and tunes playing made it more like makeovers with a great friend. It was spic and span. I was so relaxed by the end and happy with my silky smooth legs! Can't wait to be back and try their facials or a peel! Seriously the way my legs feel hydrated and oh so soft - is addicting!
