Radiance Wellness Spa is located on Fourth Street and Wilshire boulevard in Santa Monica. This spa is owned by the Ralys family. The Ralys have endured both personal and business setbacks but like the phoenix have emerged stronger. First, their home caught on fire (this happened before the Pacific Palisades fires). Second, their spa was vandalized during the riots. Third, came Covid and now the Pacific Palisades fires. As the result of all these challenges, the spa was downsized and is now located behind two large doors next to their previous location. You dial 100, are let in and then go through a second set of doors on the left side of a small courtyard. I have gotten facials by different estheticians, including Dianna and recently by her daughter Kristina. The facials have always been relaxing and rejuvenating. The Radiance Wellness Spa only uses an organic line of skin care products created by Dianna which you can also buy. I love the papaya pumpkin mask. I finally made my way over to Radiance Wellness Spa and I was definitely was not disappointed!! The spa is so relaxing and the energy of the place feels like a soothing temple (to me at least). So zen! Many spas feel pretentious or stuffy, but here's it's the opposite...super welcoming!! I did a deep cleansing acne facial with Tricia and it was divine!! Tricia was gentle through out the whole process. I loved the neck, shoulder, arm, and hand message that was part of it. She's such a sweet soul. I love this after facial glow I have now. It felt amazing!! Like Diana, Tricia is also a healer. When you have healers giving you facials, let me tell you, it changes the facial COMPLETELY! In a world of fast facials where they push you in and out like a fast food joint, Diana Ralys is a refuge where your skin and body get the full relaxation treatment! Had a facial with Tricia. The space was calm and lovely but the facial was lacking. She spent too much of our time simply cleansing and wiping my face with towels (I can do that at home). For the price, I was really expecting something exceptional. Like an amazing facial massage! Or even just a shoulder massage while I sat under the LED light forever. I'm amazed at how fast I have been healing myself here. This is my favorite place to go ever since I haven't had the luxury of going to my yoga studio in Pasadena. I've just been coming here regularly and realized that this is the best investment in myself. I discovered that the natural skin care products here is what my skin and health needs. I went to Radiance Wellness Spa after hearing great reviews from others. Because I had sustained a knee injury, I made it a point last Monday to go to Radiance. My knee injury was making it hard to plan anything else because I was limited on walking.  The doctors had said elevate and ice but that was getting boring.  So I went to Radiance to kick start my healing.  When you enter, you smell varous aromatic smells of various soothing aromas. The aroma was soothing and reassuring. Who would think an aroma could do that? I saw all the skin products and was fascinated to learn that they were all 100% non chemical and specially formulated by the owner Diane Ralys.  I asked her a few questions in passing and learned that she created her own brands after trying to find the right products for different skin issues and ended up creating her own non-chemical products which I found appealing.  Besides the beauty aspects of the Spa my foucus was help my badly injured knee and body wellness. As I type this my knee is almost 100% but it has taken it time healing. But it's healing well and I think because I started the healing process here. I had heard about the LED light treatment. I had been doing the elevation and ice routine, but wanted to try something different.   The LED light treatment is used for facials but in my case we had it on my knee. The LED stimulates the body to speed up the healing process. It did help reduce some of the pain as well as promoted a faster healing. It's recommended 2-4 times a week. I think I made the right decision to start my healing process with the LED treatment. My knee was still too tender. All the time relaxing spa music in the background was nice to hear.  I then decided to try a light therapy meditation with the Enkidu Light Machine while the LED was working on the knee. It's kind of new and promotes mediation.  I used to meditate way more than I do now. I miss that focus. I did a session along with the LED and did meditate but perhaps even with my eyes closed maybe my corneas were adjusting, but I saw a point which I took to mean my spiritual eye. A center of focus I have known in the past but have ignored. It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't meditate but I most definitely was lacking focus and it was relaxing.  Next I tried something I've never tried and it was the infrared sauna. Unlike a traditional sauna that heats from the outside in, this warms the body from the inside out with infrared rays. I didn't know what to expect having only done regular saunas. The infrared saunas were very clean and peaceful with peaceful relaxing spa music. The saunas have various settings depending on stress, weight loss, pain etc. (about 6-7 other settings).  My setting was for pain. At first the sauna was warm but not hot. "I can handle this" I thought to myself.   In a regular sauna I'm good for 10 mins or so. This sauna was different. It had panels inside where the infrared rays come from. The geek in me was very intrigued. Note to the guys out there. The robes are on the short side for men and it was only after I sat down I realized how 'visible' I was. I was embarrassed for a minute. As I continue to sit in the sauna I'm getting warmer and warmer. Then I found myself sweating. Then my head and body was very warm to the point I was dripping sweat from my forehead. There were two colored infrared bulbs on the ceiling that were radiating heat.  I made sure the curtain was closed and angled my swollen knee right underneath the light for an extra dose as the meditative music played inside. I had not gotten a facial for years. Last one was many moons ago. Getting onto the facial table was like getting onto a very very comfortable bed. I could've have stayed there for that alone. I was already relaxed and the facial bed was really something.  My skin was inflamed (I knew) and Diane spotted that right away so she used an organic product that surprised me because it burned somewhat. It was to bring down the inflammation and definitely felt like it was working. She later put enzyme cream on my face and my skin drank it in. Its nice to know none of that was chemicals going into my body. I like that they have things you can use day to day so I got the Hydra Nourishing Gel. When I left I did feel rejuvenated and my knee did feel noticeably better. Not 100% by any means, but there most definitely was a difference.  This was an excellent kick start to the knee healing and was very peaceful.  My knee is coming back (not as fast as I would like) and I plan on going back for an LED treatment and the infrared sauna. The skin care products 100% chemical free and there is something to be said for that.  That was last week, next step acupuncture then go back for the LED treatment and infrared sauna.  This is a Wellness AND skin spa so pick your purpose and go and give yourself some "me" time. read more

I have been coming to Radiance Wellness Spa since 2017 (if my memory serves me correctly) and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. It's such a special place and I always feel so taken care of and quite cozy whenever I come in. I never feel rushed, and everyone who I have encountered has been so patient and kind, answering all of my questions and skin concerns. It had been a while since I had come in for an appointment, so when I arrived for my facial with Kristina, I was ready. She was very committed to helping me revive my skin health. It was incredibly relaxing, and also very nourishing for both my skin and and my well being. I felt cared for and nurtured. She listened to my concerns, addressed them beyond my expectations (gently and also very efficiently), offered me advice on products to add to my routine, and she checked in on me a week or so following my appointment. The services I get most often as part of my facial are microdermabrasion and a micro-current add on for my eye area, but there are additional add ons available to boost the facial. I first meet Kristina at my job over 2 years ago (Sugaring LA on Montana) and she introduced me to her mother Diana. I finally took the time to take care of me & get myself back into my regular monthly facials. I was over my hormonal breakouts at 40+. I met Diana at an expo in LA, the products she demod and the knowledge she had regarding skin care impressed me. I agreed to make an appointment to come in to her spa. She gave me a little card with her suggestion for my facial and complimentary add ons for having been referred from the expo. Cue to a couple weeks later when I call the spa to make an appointment. Making an appointment at the spa was super easy- I called on a Saturday morning and got an appointment that Saturday afternoon. Parking was super easy. There's a public lot right across the street. I lost the card with add ons so when I called, I asked if Diana could see me to express her recommendations again. They said no, she was busy all day and that wouldn't be possible. I didn't want to be crass, so I forgot about the free add ons she'd given me at the expo and rolled on in. The spa is relaxing, peaceful and clean. I loved the vibe in there. The esthetician who did my facial was polite, sweet and very friendly. Unfortunately, my facial was pretty underwhelming. She used a lancet to open my pores and decongest the skin but only partially extracted the pore, leaving a lot of congestion under the skin. She pressed so heavily on my nose that she left broken capillaries all on the tip of my nose. Overall I left with red, puckered half extracted pores and woke up with even blotchier skin and more infected pimples than I'd walked in with. I can't say I'll be back and certainly wouldn't recommend any friends with acne to come here. I've had much better facials for half the price. I feel Sad to write this but feel the average consumer should know. read more

I picked up a coupon on a Living Social special recently for $50.00 and trekked off to Diana to see what she could do for me. My skin is generally pretty clear, but I do like to get facials every now and then to clean out all of the LA pollution and counteract my food and drinking adventures. General impressions: Diana is a lovely, sweet lady who obviously takes a lot of pride in her little business. She recently started out on her own and her treatment area/office is really cute. In the depths of an office building on Wilshire, you enter a nondescript door and find a lovely reception area with a wooden desk, water, and soothing warm paint colors. When she comes out to greet you she immediately exudes warmth, making you very comfortable. her treatment room is huge - 3X the size of treatment rooms in normal spas. You change behind a room dividing screen, which is fine and sink yourself into the soft bed. After that, the facial goes as planned - lots of soothing music, yummy smelling lotions and sprays and cleansers, a few extractions, and you're done. She tries to do a soft sell of a few products but nothing crazy. While it is very soothing and nice, I'm just not sure it is worth her normal price of $130.00 for a facial (she has others that are $110, but that is still steep in my book). You aren't getting spa amenities and for that price you should be getting a comfy robe, steam room, etc. The only problems that I had with the facial are the following: 1) I thought the extractions could have been a little more thorough and 2) Diana should put a pillow underneath the knees to support the lower back like they do in many places. My lower back was killing me after it was over. Parking is easy - around the corner you can get 2 hours of free street parking. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Will I be back? If I picked up another coupon, but not at full price. read more

I was introduced to this place through a Groupon deal and I am glad I tried it out. I've come here twice, both times for a facial with Diana and have gone back very happy and satisfied. Diana is an extremely knowledgeable aesthetician and does a great job at facials. She is meticulous and careful. Does not talk a whole lot but would happily answer questions if you asked. During my first facial we hardly talked, she just did her thing and the end result was wonderful. My face was all clean and shining. The second time I did ask her questions about the products etc and she shared her knowledge about each. There was no pressure to buy any products at the end of the session. She does recommend a few but does not pressurize you into buying anything. This is not a very fancy spa. There is room only for 1 person at a time and she operates from a small place. But everything is clean and comfortable. It does get hard sometimes to find street parking, but her receptionist is sweet enough to put coins in the meter in case of an emergency. I find online coupon for facial hit or miss and this was a total hit. She gave me a great and professional skin consultation and then addressed my much needed skin. She also gave me a nice shoulder and neck massage while I was getting my yummy smelling pumpkin enzyme mask on so that was a major plus.
