I bought their golden four seasons tea and hojicha online before. The golden four seasons tea is so flavorful and tasty. I also make ice hojicha latte at home and it's so delicious! When I know they have the onsite store for pick up and tea experience, I have to come over to visit on the first opening day. The owner Amy displays their tea products in such an aesthetic way in the store, and I am also a big fan of tea pots and ceramic cups. She also displays some of her collections here.. The tea experience is amazing!! I tried different kind of tea here and those are flavorful and tasty. I also had a great conversation with Amy to understand more about the tea culture and their tea products. Amy also used their matcha to make me a Yuzu Matcha Tonic which is so so delicious!! It's definitely a hidden gem in OC/Brea area and I don't see there's any tea rooms or stores like this in OC area. Recommend all the tea lovers to check it out!

I got the earl grey matcha which are two of my favorite flavors it was of course delicious. Food: They had just rolled out a new menu that includes a slice of sourdough bread and butter for 5$. I'm really working on cutting out the sweet treats (which they have plenty of) so it was perfect for me. They also have wholesome foods such as breakfast sandwiches and burritos which-- if I didn't have dinner plans after my study session-- is always appreciated as too often the food at coffee shops are sugary pastries and a bunch of empty calories. Service was friendly and personable. Communitea shows its dedication to being a warm, welcoming third-space environment. There is a shelf filled with board games and a kids play area (if you have one of those). They have assorted merchandise like coffee beans, plants, mugs, chips & snacks, etc.. There were flyers for all types of events throughout the month. I don't often write reviews I don't even live anywhere near Brea, but I would love to see this business thrive if not expand.

It was made with bourbon reduction, maple, hickory, sea salt, and of course, espresso & milk. Although I couldn't really taste the bourbon, all the other flavors were present from the sweet maple, smokey hickory, and occasional bursts of sea salt. Oh, and a great roast of coffee. This was a coffee drink I'd come back for again and again. The pastry case looked inviting but I was stuffed from lunch so passed. But dang, they amazed me with that smokey maple latte!

There are only a few tables inside, and it seemed like most people were grabbing their drinks to go rather than staying for a while. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Latte, which was just okay. It was a little too sweet for my taste, and I've definitely had better vanilla bean lattes elsewhere. My friend ordered the Lavender Matcha and felt similarly, it was decent but nothing that particularly stood out. Service was a bit mixed. The cashier was friendly and welcoming, while the barista was less warm during our visit. Overall, it was an okay experience.

The bathroom was nice and clean as well. We got the chubby cheesecake, sweet corn latte, and berries n cream matcha. Our cashier was very sweet and helpful with understanding the menu options. The cheesecake was SO delicious with fluffy cream on top and honey on the bottom. The corn latte is so yummy, such a nice light corn flavor! The berry matcha has a strong flavor and the fresh, sweet berries in it perfectly complement the matcha bitterness. The foam on the top is not too heavy either. Long-time customer, first-time reviewer…read more Smoking Tiger has one of my favorite pastries around - the Garlic Cream Cheese bread. Honestly, it's the main reason I keep coming back. The bread is soft, the garlic flavor is just right, and the cream cheese filling brings everything together perfectly. Their coffee drinks are also consistently good. My personal favorite is the Smokin' Spaniard, probably because I'm a sucker for anything made with condensed milk. It's rich, smooth, and just sweet enough without being over the top. On a recent visit, I decided to try their new Pineapple Express. It was a hot day, and I was in the mood for something fruity and refreshing without any caffeine. It was decent - light and refreshing, though it didn't quite stand out as much as their coffee drinks for me. Overall, this is still one of my favorite bakeries and coffee spots. Between the delicious pastries, solid drinks, and cozy atmosphere, it's a place I find myself returning to again and again.

Omg! I just moved to the North OC area, and I'm happy to say I've found one of my new go-to coffee…read moreshop study spots in the area! :) I'm currently studying for a big exam, and it's been surprisingly challenging finding coffee shops to study at with the beautiful, modern, aesthetic ambience that makes me happy, without feeling anxious there won't be enough seats or space when I get there, esp since I have to drive a decent amount to get to cafes. I've been getting a little stir crazy at home and finally making the trek here was so worth it-- I felt more motivated than ever to get work done with a tasty treat. I'm not sure if it's because CSUF just started this week, or because I came on a Friday morning, but it was really spacious and open with tons of outlets (almost at each table). Not sure how other days are, but I'd love to bring my study group friends here in the future, since it's so hard to find places with enough space for study groups! Not to mention the clean bathroom haha and good wifi haha The staff here is also incredibly sweet and friendly, making it a comfortable and good experience. Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, and maybe it could've been heated up a little more, but I did wait a bit to eat it, so it was no big deal. The other barista was also so sweet in answering my many questions haha The only struggle as others have mentioned is the parking - I ended up parking at the retail parking nearby, which had plenty of spots but can get pretty pricey, and it sounds like you can park in the areas others have mentioned still (like The Hub I guess has "New Here" parking spots or the employee parking spots?), so I'll need to look more next time. But there's quite a bit around the area within walking distance, you can easily make a day out of it too. Also since it is at the first floor of an apartment in a college town, there will be students going in and out, so just be prepared for that haha -- reminded me of dorm days, and I'm glad students have a spot like this :) Overall, the yummy coffee, amazing vibe and beautiful ambiance, especially as a study spot, alongside the kind and comfortable service has been just what I've been looking for in a coffee shop around here, and I'm excited to return! Thank you New Here!

Vanilla Thesis is the best better than probably all the rest…read moreThe coffee is so tasty Not nasty or pasty Their cheese and ham croissant is also bomb better than being made by mom One thing to note about this place, the parking sucks. But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.
