Been told by a barista that Chagee Modern Teahouse is the new hype for Starbucks compared to caffeine. Cute little location inside the Brea Mall. Ordered the Peach Oolong Tea Latte "as is". You can definitely taste the amora of the peach. Recommend the fruit tea for the full tea experience.
Boya Jasmine green tea latte (less sugar, whole milk, regular ice, large): Same review like molly tea. Their milk tea to me was underwhelming. No distinct flavor of jasmine tea and it's really not worth it to wait in line for 30 mins to place your order. I really wanted to like it but not worth to get their drink. Their cup is pretty though. I do like that they have a Chagee USA app to order ahead and pick up. First order on the app gives you 15% off.
Came back to Chagee because I really enjoyed their Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte last time, so I wanted to try a few of their other drinks. They were doing a BOGO 1/2 off deal on their matcha drinks, so I tried the peach matcha first. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste any peach at all. It honestly felt a little gimmicky because if I didn't know it was supposed to be peach, I probably wouldn't have guessed it. For my second matcha, I got the jasmine matcha. I liked this one more because I could actually taste the jasmine tea. It was floral but also subtle and didn't overpower the matcha. That being said, I do think their matcha is on the lower quality side. I could see grains of matcha along the cup, and the drinks themselves were on the grainier side. The matcha also had a noticeable bitterness to it. I also ordered their peach oolong citrus tea. I wasn't able to adjust the sweetness, which I normally prefer to do with fruit teas. Fortunately, it wasn't too sweet, probably because of the amount of ice. I also wasn't able to adjust it to a lower ice level. I also didn't taste much citrus, so mostly tasted like a peach green tea from starbucks. Overall, this visit was a disappointment, especially since I enjoyed their Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte so much the first time. I would still come back for that drink, but I probably wouldn't order their matcha again.

The staff member who took my order was nice and pleasant. I ordered the Matcha Latte. It was good, but I didn't find the flavor particularly unique or signature compared to other matcha drinks I've tried. The price was also on the higher side, especially for a medium size. One thing I really liked was the detailed nutrition information printed right on the drink label, including calories, caffeine, protein, and sodium. I haven't seen many tea shops do this, and it's a thoughtful and useful touch. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful and the drink was decent. The nutrition labeling definitely stood out, but for the price, I was expecting the drink itself to feel a little more special.
Whenever I come to Brea Mall, Chagee is my go to place for Oolong Milk Tea. It has that rich aromatic tea favor you keep wanting to cone back for more. Every sip has the perfect balance of refreshing tea notes and creamy sweetness. I usually order Online because there's usually a waiting. I'll walk around the mall, do some shopping, and by the time my drink is ready, I can simply pick it up and sit down to enjoy my refreshing tea and to wake me up while I'm out and about. Whether you're sitting inside the store or somewhere around the mall, there's always a relaxing feeling watching people walk by, listening to music, or even writing a review while enjoying your drink with family. This was my first time trying this tea house. The menu is extensive for options! You can modify your drink, latte/pure tea, milk alternatives, sugar/ice levels. I ordered a peach oolong pure tea with no sugar. The place was busy! There is limited seating, usually full. The ambiance reminds me of Seattle Starbucks, very bright, woodsy, clean decor. The tea was good, nothing too amazing. The unique thing about this place, the printed labels on the drink. I know some people are very mindful of their diets, calories, sugars; so the dietary label was smart.

My go to is the peach oolong citrus refresher with the less sweet option. I find the drink very refreshing and it has just the right amount of caffeine to pick me up. The workers are also friendly and provide standard customer service. The store itself has a nice ambiance and the tea aroma is pleasant. They have some wall decor that is very minimalist but visually pleasing. There is limited seating within the tea house and it's noticeable when it gets busy. They have also some aesthetic tumblers and tea packets for sale as well. My only reason for the 4 stars is the pricing is in the moderate side, but still worth it in my opinion. Overall, I am pleased with this business and will keep returning in the future when I visit Brea Mall.
I've wanted to try Chagee for the longest time, and I finally had the opportunity to. I'm going to note that there is a very long line to order as well as an additional wait time for your drink. I believe I waited about 10-15 minutes for my drink. I got their Jasmine Boya Green Tea Latte that has fresh milk in it. I really liked the jasmine green tea flavor, but for a milk tea, I typically like a nice balance between the milk and the tea. I think this drink has a little too much tea flavor and the consistency was slightly watery, compared to a milky one that I was expecting. The service was alright and the interior was too crowded with people to fully enjoy the ambiance.

My guess is that people don't like it that much which is why they did a deal on the app. Anyway, it tastes more like sencha which is a more common flavor of green tea but not the matcha with lots of auroma. Also it was supposed to be peach matcha, didn't taste peach, just the latte part, run of the mill matcha latte if you ask me, average tasting - but if you consider the peach, it didn't have that flavor in it. The peach citrus tea was an ok drink, tasted like a lemon tea with a hint of peach. Not very peachy at all. Gotta say I would need to check out their other drinks first to see if they differ.
My friend insisted we get a tea from Chagee since I see her with them at work and I'm always commenting how beautiful her drink is! We ordered the peach tea refresher and it was as tasty as it was beautiful! Didn't taste fake and had some gorgeous garnishes too. Love the to go bag too! Service was friendly and quick!
Thìs location is inside the beautiful brea mall ! Service is helpful and friendly. Thìs is my second time and I got the same drink I did before which is the peach refresher !!! I was so refreshed after drinking it I needed it again haha !
This spot is located within the Brea Mall and it gets packed really fast. Typically there is a long line but we were lucky enough to stop by without much of a line. The tea shop smells soo good and the interior design is beautiful. I ordered the Boyle milk tea with regular sweetness - it was delicious and reminds me of a really good jasmine milk tea I also tried the Roasted Black Tea with 50% sweetness - the tea flavor was very strong and unique. I would definitely order this next time I come visit The servers were very friendly and also very efficient with ordering. There are only a few seats to sit inside the tea spot, but otherwise there is plenty of seating within the mall. Highly recommend this spot if you love high quality tea shop.
Chagee Modern Teahouse has expanded theor business. Many of their locations are inside the mall. My go to is one in Mission Viejo Mall, but since we were at Brea we thought to stop by and get our favorite teas. This location is on the 1st floor next to Apple store. My fave is Peach Oolong Pure Tea or Refresher and Amber Oolong Milk Tea with Oatmilk. The Peach Oolong has so much of the pure Oolong tea flavor and very refreshing. The Amber Oolong Tea is roasted & rich with flavor. read more

I found this viral Chinese milk tea from Instagram while vacationing in SoCal. The gentleman behind the register was kind to recommended me the Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte with oat milk in large for under $8, which is much cheaper than an average 16 oz. boba with one topping in the Bay Area. I recommend downloading their app to receive a discount as a first customer. It was a bit crowded in the afternoon and there weren't any seats available until someone leave the table. I love the design of their cups and bag. The straws are made to be thin so you can taste the essence of the tea when sipping tea lattes, which will make a tasting difference. I really like the creamy texture of their tea latte and not watery like other boba shops I've been to. I even felt awake for a while after drinking it for over an hour. I hope they open one in the Bay Area one day. read more
I had pretty high expectations of Chagee's drink after my sister told me how popular this place was. The interior was really pretty and the moment I walked in, I could smell the calm aroma of tea. I got the boya jasmine green tea latte and while the tea flavor was prominent, it wasn't as sweet as I would have wanted. My sister got the amber oolong tea and said she loved it! However, she did say she liked a good tea flavor that wasn't too sweet. So it was perfect for her! My mom got the peach oolong tea and said it was good but tasted a little watered down. I would say this place is a hit or miss depending on what your preference in milk tea/tea is. I am a sweet tooth so I enjoy a sweeter flavor, but if you're into a lighter sweet taste with strong tea flavor, this place would be perfect for you. Also the caffeine is definitely there! I can't handle caffeine too well so I got a little jittery after 30 minutes of drinking the drink hahaha I would say that their chagee straws are also really interesting and that their cups are adorable! read more

Been coming here ever since their grand opening and my friends & I love this place. The shop is really packed but nice. We really like their drinks as it is a good balance of sweet and tea, not just tasting like one over the other. Whenever I get the chance to go to Brea Mall with friends, I tell them we need to get Chagee. I still do want to try out their other drinks as I've been so focused with their peach oolong & their ceylon black. read more
I usually order my drinks less sweet and this place u don't have to! The regular sweet is already "less sweet" for milk tea/latte drinks But for the lemon teas, I felt like the standard was still a bit sweeter than my liking so next time I'll order less sweet for lemon tea drinks :) This location has a bathroom in the store, super clean! read more

Stopped by on Saturday, 04/18/26 for the first time. Located inside the Brea Mall, I ordered the following: - 1 boya jasmine green tea latte = $5.95 (I asked to add oat milk) - 1 peach oolong tea latte = $5.95 (I asked to add oat milk) SUBTOTAL = $11.90 15% OFF DISCOUNT = -$1.79 (download the app, create an account for this discount!) TAX = $0.78 OVERALL TOTAL = $10.89 The wait time took a while but it wasn't as bad. It was extremely crowded. I dislike how this place does not have any matcha drinks. This place only serves CAFFEINATED TEA, no boba whatsoever. I really like the bag they give out - such great quality! read more

Heard the line gets really long here. However, we went on as Friday afternoon and it wasn't too bad. The wait to pick up drinks was longer than to order. I got the peach oolong lemon tea and my husband got the jasmine Lemon tea and they were both really good. A tad bit sweet but good. If you like it a little less sweet, 50-75% is good. It was very refreshing on a hot day. Can't wait to go back to try the other teas. read more

First time visiting--I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I ordered the peach oolong tea, but since they were out of sweetener, it ended up just tasting like plain tea. Unfortunate timing, I guess. Overall, I didn't find anything particularly special that would make me want to come back. I might return to try some of their other milk teas, but I didn't quite understand what all the buzz was about. The service was good--the cashier was super nice and friendly. However, the area where they were assembling drinks and orders seemed a bit disorganized. On a positive note, the ambiance is really nice. The décor is very aesthetic, and I liked that they offer online ordering as an option. read more
Chagee is a tea house that is well respected on the Internet and social media, so stumbling across it on my visit to Brea excited me. However, I wasn't too impressed with the orders we made. The menu is a bit limited, which is no problem as I think it's nice to specialize in specific teas and latte forms, but they were just... okay. I will say the overall aesthetic is nice inside though. We ordered the Ceylon black tea latte and the amber oolong tea latte, and it was a bit underwhelming. The Ceylon black tea latte was pretty average. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that special. The amber oolong tea latte, however, seemed very watered and milked down. The tea flavor itself felt lacking and very light. I believe the Ceylon black tea latte to be leagues ahead because of that, but in general, I felt like the teas didn't exactly live up to the hype I've seen online. read more

I honestly hoped I'd enjoy this place a lot more than I did. I ordered a large Ceylon milk tea (I can't remember what it's called) and I couldn't adjust the sweetness or ice levels. I decided to just give it a shot. For it being a tea place with no toppings, I was really setting a high bar. However, they definitely fell short. The tea honestly tasted diluted and with the ice, it was only going to be more diluted as I held onto it. The line was significantly long, there were plenty of to go orders, and the shop itself was busy. Why? I have no idea but I most likely will not come back unfortunately. read more

I was too intimidated by the long line at Chagee on opening weekend to try it but we came back on a Sunday afternoon a few months later and were pleased to find a relatively short queue. While the Laufey collab was intriguing, I knew what I wanted: the amber oolong. It had those nutty, toasty notes that I love. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it was gone in just a few sips (gulps), but to be fair, it was a really hot day and this iced tea was very needed! I didn't stay so I can't say much for the ambiance. There were a handful of seats but they all seemed to be taken. read more

Ever since Chagee opened up in the Brea Mall, I've been very hesitant to try them out because of how long people have to wait. I took my chances on a random Monday a little past noon. The place was moderately filled up with a few people in line to order. Since it was my first time at this tea joint, I asked the cashier up front what was popular and after she assisted me, I went with their Amber Oolong Tea. I was told that it wasn't too sweet so for my first time, I decided to get it regular sweet. The flavor was honestly pretty good but the tea flavor was a bit on the weaker side. Next time, I would definitely get it less sweet and get it with oat milk to maybe get more tea flavor. I waited less than 5 minutes and I was quite surprised knowing that others have waited upwards of 45 minutes to an hour plus even with nobody around. read more

Came here with my friend who is obsessed with Chagee for my first time trying out Chagee! They do have a mobile app that is currently running a promotion for your first order through the app to be a % off. There is limited indoor seating as well as a restroom inside. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the mall and Chagee were PACKED. My friend and I ordered online in advance to just pick up the drinks much faster which I do recommend although we came back a few hours later and waited in line and it didn't take too long. One thing to note is for all orders, they don't call out your name when the order is ready so just be prepared to keep a close eye on the drinks coming out. Boya Jasmine green tea with less sugar 4.5/5, well priced, the 3 hole straw is excellent for a slow sip to savor the tea, I would absolutely come again and order this again read more

Any teahouse that collabs with Laufey is a teahouse that I will frequent.. and I do love Chagee! This particular location usually has a line but the wait doesn't take too long, and you always have the option to order through the app for pickup. The staff is always super helpful and nice which is always a plus. I always get the Amber Oolong tea latte and it always hits the spot. The flavor is nicely nutty and never too sweet. If you prefer more floral, jasmine teas, I recommend their Boya Jasmine tea latte. This specific drink is in collaboration with Laufey, and you have the option to purchase the Laufey bundle to win tickets to a future Chagee x Laufey concert. Chagee has also been opening plenty of locations throughout LA/OC, so I recommend giving it a try at least once! read more
have heard many great things about the chagee craze. One noticeable thing was how premium the experience felt, from waiting in line to waiting for the drink. They were pretty busy, as expected but ordered and received the drink in under 30 mins. I wish they had a stand alone store instead of having to navigate through an already crowded mall but it's ok. Simple menu focusing on TEA. Loved the decor inside and the books the have on the wall about their history of tea In Taiwan. Oolong Latte: 4/5. Honestly nothing super crazy, good amount of tea. Tasted more milkier/watery imo but the tea balances it out well. Solid option. Would def come back and try everything else when in the area :) read more
