An overwhelming amount of menus to look at while the staff stares you down waiting for you to decide on what you want. They raced over to help me and then seemed annoyed when I wasn't ready. I felt rushed. Coffee was fine. Tasted a bit burnt and didn't have enough syrup or milk so I had to ask for more. Still didn't have much flavor to it. Kids' play area is cute and they have monthly events, which is cool. They have plants for sale, but it's a whole process to buy them. Their merch doesn't all have pricing so don't bother with that. I like the vibe of the place, but not enough to justify coming back.

Very cute and welcoming coffee shop! Love that they host community events in their space and have a partnership with the board game/card shop nearby. I wish they had more non-caffeinated options! Shaken iced tea lemonade - 5/5, not too sweet and the peach blossom tea is very nice. Definitely more on the tart side, which I enjoy.

Amazing service, ambience and drinks. That Earl Grey Matcha was something I've never experienced before and my entire family thought it was delicious. The Irish cream Cold brew was just the right amount of sweet with a very smooth coffee flavor. We also enjoyed the aesthetic presentation of the drinks. There are free water cups at the bar area. We did not get to enjoy it but they had a nice little play area for little kids inside the coffee shop as well as board games. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. (They measure and whisk the matcha)

I visited for the first time this weekend and got a Hollaback Girl latte. The taste was great and I enjoyed it quite a bit but the price point was a little on the higher side so this is going to be more of a once-in-a-while treat for me. It's a little loud inside and there were some kids running around. Not the biggest deal but if this is a common occurrence on weekends, this isn't a place I would take a friend to hang out and talk. Otherwise, it seems like a cool spot with some interesting drinks.

Communitea is a really charming spot with a cozy, community-focused vibe. The shop is super cute and features items from independent vendors, which is a nice touch and fun to browse while you wait. I ordered The Headliner along with the green chili bacon egg burrito, and both were delicious the burrito especially was a standout. They also have a great selection of games and books to hang out with (even spotted the full Harry Potter set ), which makes it an easy place to linger. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which really adds to the overall experience. Great place to grab coffee, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Honestly was super excited to try this spot, it looked legit. The ambience is really nice and very hip. The staff were super friendly. I ordered the chai latte iced and Vietnamese cold brew. Super bummed with the drinks. The chai was literally just milk and cinnamon. Really disappointing.

Such a nice place with a place for kids to play a little while you get your matcha or coffee fix. Came here before getting my hair done and saw that they had monthly specials. I tried the banana bread matcha which was different because on top of the cold foam they also added cinnamon. I also liked that they could make cold foam with oat milk instead of a dairy whole milk

I stopped here a few times during a recent work trip and enjoyed the coffee each day. They've got a few homemade syrups that are pretty unique - burnt sage is one that I tried. There are plenty of chairs to set up if you wanna work remote and it's a bright space. There's even some kids toys along the back wall for children to play with. I also liked the little plant stand set up by the front door. Overall, just a really homey place with friendly people working.

Such a cute little coffee and tea shop! Located in a small shopping strip next to several different shops. The moment you walk in, you'll notice a fairly large sitting area, which is great for individuals who want to just study or sit in a relatively quiet area. Additionally, out front, at least on the day I came in, people were doing a sip and paint with coffee/tea, which was really cool. The baristas were really nice and welcoming. They have a very large menu and you can tell that it was done intentionally so that all the flavors can hit all sorts of folks while being as traditional as possible. I got the honey lavendar latte with oatmilk on ice. Delicious! Definitely coming back here as soon as I can.

Talk about a hole in the wall! I was in the area for work and needed my caffeine fix, so when I found this place saw the reviews, I knew this was my stop. Once I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff, got asked if I needed help or recommendations. All the good stuff. And most importantly the coffee tastes great! Doing a little walk around inside seems like a great place to come hang out and laugh for all ages!

Creative, delicious flavors are on rotation at Communitea Coffee. Pistachio flavors are back! Actually, they never left. CC baristas are great about making your favorite drink even if it's not on the seasonal menu. The Pistachio Rose Cold Foam is a must try! The iced matcha in their house-made oat milk is smooth and refreshing.

I've been coming here for a while, but finally decided to write a review for this place. I have tried a lot of their drinks and the standouts for me are: Spanish latte, blackberry honey shaken espresso, chill pill blue lavender latte (no caffeine), and blueberry matcha. Also, their tonics are super refreshing. I loved the passion fruit one they had. Kind of sad they don't have the Rose Cardamom Tea Latte anymore as it used to be one of my go-tos. They seriously have a drink for everyone, whether you're a coffee lover or tea lover. The baristas are always super nice and accommodating. I also love that they are a local business who supports small businesses. The ambiance is pretty chill, and it's such a great place to study or work. It can get a bit loud at times, but it's nothing out of ordinary for a cafe. The cafe is always clean.

It was made with bourbon reduction, maple, hickory, sea salt, and of course, espresso & milk. Although I couldn't really taste the bourbon, all the other flavors were present from the sweet maple, smokey hickory, and occasional bursts of sea salt. Oh, and a great roast of coffee. This was a coffee drink I'd come back for again and again. The pastry case looked inviting but I was stuffed from lunch so passed. But dang, they amazed me with that smokey maple latte!

Rich and creamy tiramisu flavor with perfect balance of coffee flavor. Not powdery at all. I've also had their Iced Mint Mojito which is minty and refreshing with bold coffee flavor. My new favorite is their Campfire S'mores. Great blend of coffee & cream, marshmallow swirl, cinnamon, and cocoa flavor. There's also marshmallows on top but haven't actually eaten them as I usually just sip through their lid. Service has been great. Baristas are super friendly. Drinks would arrive within a few minutes. When they hand the drink, they'd tell me to let them know if the drink is perfect or how the drink is. They'll also ask if I would like a lid. I've been to other Philz, but this review will focus on this Brea location. The Drink: I got the seasonal salted caramel cold brew and it was delicious. Picture Starbucks' caramel macchiato but less sweet and with less acidic espresso. This Philz drink was smooth and creamy, with enough caffeine kick to keep me powered throughout the day. The Service: Our barista was very knowledgeable and offered a few suggestions and a couple of samples so that I could make the right selection. Grade A service! The Setting: Located in the new section of Brea Mall, this Philz location is a freestanding building so you have to walk outside of the mall to access it from the southwest side. There's no street parking, so you'll need to park in the large parking structure across from Nordstrom (currently...but they are doing more construction so this could change in the future). The Conclusion: As part of a franchise that doesn't act like one, the Brea location of Philz offers great coffee with excellent customer service.

But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

The drinks barely tasted like strawberry and we were disappointed. I immediately regretted upgrading my size to 20oz too. SO I looked up other recent yelp reviews, and I saw that someone posted a picture of their drink 17 hours ago and it was still pink. That makes me question what happened to our drinks.
