Amazing service, ambience and drinks. That Earl Grey Matcha was something I've never experienced before and my entire family thought it was delicious. The Irish cream Cold brew was just the right amount of sweet with a very smooth coffee flavor. We also enjoyed the aesthetic presentation of the drinks. There are free water cups at the bar area. We did not get to enjoy it but they had a nice little play area for little kids inside the coffee shop as well as board games. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. The vibes are great and drinks are unique and so tasty. I don't really drink coffee anymore so I just usually get their non caffeinated drinks or their non coffee drinks. My absolute favorite is their Pistachio Bloom. The right amount of chai, sweetness, rosey, pistachio flavors mixed together. My husband has gotten their Vietnamese coffee and I had a sip. You can tell the quality is really good and my husband thinks it's one of the best Vietnamese coffees he's had in the area. This place also isn't just a coffee shop. They regularly have events at the shop that serve the community (i.e. boom events, pet rescue fundraiser, mom meet ups, plant workshops, etc). They also have a corner for young kids to play at as well as a board game collection. If my kids were older, I imagine this to be a spot to hang out and play board games with their friends. Communitea is a really charming spot with a cozy, community-focused vibe. The shop is super cute and features items from independent vendors, which is a nice touch and fun to browse while you wait. I ordered The Headliner along with the green chili bacon egg burrito, and both were delicious the burrito especially was a standout. They also have a great selection of games and books to hang out with (even spotted the full Harry Potter set ), which makes it an easy place to linger. It's been almost two years since I've been here. I'm surprised I decided to come here again following my subpar experience my first time when they first opened up. I never took on their free drink offer because I'm the type of person that feels bad about getting complimentary items to try and make up for a bad experience. Since my Yelp friends really like this place, I decided to try it again. I figured I was a little harsh my first time around but that was just me being completely honest and blunt about my past experience. I was nearby and instead of going to my usual spot right down the street, I wanted to see if this place has gotten better in my books. This time around, I ordered the most basic drinks to see their quality control. I got myself an Iced Latte with oat milk and an Iced Americano. I'm not the biggest fan of their oat milk but the latte was very refreshing and the espresso had a good flavor. The Americano was ever so slightly on the sour side but it was still good enough to get a thumbs up by me. Although this won't be my go-to coffee spot, I'll try to be around every once in a while to change things up from my usual routine. read more

I stopped here a few times during a recent work trip and enjoyed the coffee each day. They've got a few homemade syrups that are pretty unique - burnt sage is one that I tried. I have tried a lot of their drinks and the standouts for me are: Spanish latte, blackberry honey shaken espresso, chill pill blue lavender latte (no caffeine), and blueberry matcha. Also, their tonics are super refreshing. I loved the passion fruit one they had. Kind of sad they don't have the Rose Cardamom Tea Latte anymore as it used to be one of my go-tos. They seriously have a drink for everyone, whether you're a coffee lover or tea lover. The baristas are always super nice and accommodating. I also love that they are a local business who supports small businesses. The ambiance is pretty chill, and it's such a great place to study or work. We were headed to the Brea mall and saw the coffee sign so we decided to stop by. It's tucked in the corner of a shopping center. I absolutely loved my iced coffee it was so delicious. The right amount of coffee and sweetness. My daughter liked her too, she had finished it before we even left the place. The burrito was good, I just wish the bacon was a bit more crispy but other than that it hit the spot. I am so happy we found this cute coffee place. The color was dull and the taste was milky and slightly chalky--definitely not what I'd expect from true ceremonial quality. For reference, places like Aroma Coffee or Tasty's serve vibrant, flavorful matcha that truly feels premium. At $8, I expected more. I'm a plain Jane and my orders are usually "tried and true" in which I usually get a matcha latte; but I decided to switch it up and try their Fall version, which is the Blackberry Honey Matcha. The blackberry cold foam was very unique and tasted pretty good. I'm not very much of a sweet person, so I let them know when I ordered so they were able to adjust it just fine. A very cute coffee spot in Brea! Located in a plaza that I never frequent so it's a lovely addition. Very cute inside. Good amount of seating and there's even a kids play area and a place where they keep board games! Fun! I got the iced matcha latte with almond milk. Came out to 6.30 for a regular, which is quite standard for the area. My friend got the blackberry honey matcha off their fall menu. The barista asked me to let them know if I liked my drink (I didn't ask for any additional sweeteners) and my first sip was fine but then I winded up grabbing a stevia packet to add to amp it a bit. My fault on my end, but I'm not used to asking for sweeteners/syrups in matcha. I got to try some of my friend's drink and it seemed nice--they had the blackberry in the foam and I thought that was different (in a good way). I think I would have to frequent this place more in order to boost it up to 5, but that's a challenge I'll accept. I hope they continue to thrive! Ordered the iced Earl grey matcha using their convenient online app. The description sounded really good. As a matter of fact, all the descriptions of the drinks sounded good so kudos to whoever did the website. The drink however, had no hint of an earl grey at all. It tasted like a regular matcha drink. $7.25 for a Small size I was hoping for something better. Also, the drink was more on the milky side than matcha flavor. When I walked in to get my drink, I noticed they had a food menu with breakfast items, so I asked about them. The lady (not sure if owner) gave off a dismissive vibe when i asked if any of the items were made in-house. She said they were not an eatery but rather a coffee shop so they outsource their food. She made it a point to say it twice and seemed annoyed. Yes, I know what a coffee shop is and I have seen other coffee shops that make their food in-house. It's not a big deal, I just like to eat semi healthy and wanted to know what to expect when I received my food. Was it going to be a frozen burrito or freshly made.. in any case, it turned out to be the former. A small burrito with a lot of tortilla. There is a reason that everyone you know is talking about this place. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration but it shouldn't be. I've had invitations to meet up for coffee from several friends in the area and for some reason we all keep gravitating back to the friendly vibes and delicious treats you can find here. The parking is limited, but I've always been able to find a spot. The coffees are tasty and imaginative (both in name and in flavor), and service is always friendly and fast. There is a little play area thoughtfully left out for overstimulated parents to give their littles somewhere to just be a kid while they relax for a minute. Even the walkway is adorned with plants from the local "plant lady," which I definitely want to know more about. Having a coffee here is like having a latte in the comfort of your own living room and always feels like a break from the hustle and grind of the outside world. Catch me here any day of the week. Viet coffee rivals Blk Dot in my opinion and raspberry lemonade will be a repeat order for my kiddo. A great selection for coffee lovers. They also have a kids menu, board games and play area for little ones making this a family friendly shop that lives up to their name. Atmosphere is cool and unique with lots of coffee humor. Bathrooms are always clean and smell nice. Staff was friendly and made sure to acknowledge customers even when really busy. Only complaint is kiddos didn't like the salt on the chocolate chip cookie, but for more adult tastes I think it would be perfect. read more

My friend told me she tried a new coffee place in Brea and I had to try it out! I came on a Sunday around 3:00 PM and it was quite busy inside, but no wait to order. There's several tables inside and they also have board games to borrow. Whenever it's my first time at a coffee shop, I always ask the cashier for their recommendation or popular item. He said the Signature Brown Sugar Cookie Delight was popular so I opted for that. It's a Cold brew topped with brown sugar cookie cold foam. They have a 16 oz ($6) and 20 oz ($7) option to choose from. I'm not sure if I came on an off day, but the drink tasted more milky? Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the coffee. Overall, I would give the drink 3 stars. I'm not sure if I'll be back but overall, it's a good spot to catch up with friends or have a little hangout. Are you tired of the same old boring chain store coffee? Yeah, me too. Luckily, if you're in or even near Brea, have I found the spot for you! Owned by April with her husband Matt, they have a really cool, innovative menu. Now, I'm not a fan of cold brew - never had one I actually liked. I got a sample of the Viet Cold Brew plus the "normal" cold brew. Holy crap! I like cold brew it seems, just not bad cold brew. In the end my wife I believe got the Viet Cold Brew drink and I had the Honey Lavender Latte iced. And honestly, I tried both and both made me mad. Why? I live in Glendale. This store is roughly an hour from me, so I will not be able to frequent it too often. But now, I'm not going to be able to frequent any of the big coffee chains anymore either, because once you've had this, how can you possibly go back to that? I have no idea how I live in my new world, but its probably going to involve more reasons to go to the OC. And it's not even just the coffee. The shop is REALLY well done. Its very artistically done, but not in a pretentious way - in a just very inviting manner. They have a number of games there you can play, presumably care of Matt who runs the game store Shuffle & Cut Games just a few doors down (that's a whole other review, but tl;dr - check them out!). Well lit, super friendly staff, great coffee, and prices that were MORE than reasonable, and some that were just straight outstanding (where can you get a breakfast burrito for $8 these days????).
