Sesame DO (left) and Guava Cold Brew (right)

My friend who lived in the area recommended a coffee place that they really enjoyed but didn't realize today was a Sunday... so we pivoted to DO Coffee which was perfect. It's located next to OMOMO Tea Shoppe in a small plaza with Fogo de Chao on South State College Blvd in Brea. Parking here is a nightmare. It's almost impossible to find a parking stall during the weekends as there are many food and drink establishments in the area. Recommend going early to score a stall during the weekends. I ordered their Guava Cold Foam with half sweetness, and my boyfriend ordered their Sesame DO. The Guava Cold Foam with guava puree was a unique and enjoyable combination with the cold brew, but I found the cold brew a bit sour for my taste. I'm personally not a fan of sour cold brews. The sesame latte, as the worker also stated, was very light and creamy. I was kind of hesitant to order it because I personally enjoy very strong coffees with the sesame nuttiness. My boyfriend enjoyed this drink more than my drink. This was a cute coffee shop with a beautiful interior, making it a great place to work. Their coffee selections were quite unique with a beautiful presentation.

What a beautiful shop! There is a beautiful tree at the center of the sitting area and the ambiance is perfect for a quick coffee grab. There aren't really tables for you to sit and study or do work. I love their pour over offerings and they have all the specialty drinks you could ever ask for. Come and grab a beautiful cup of pour over coffee!

Love the ambiance here. Reminds me so much of the coffee shops in NYC. We had the duo matcha which is one of my top 3's and the sea salt toffee. The ham and cheese was nothing special but the banana nut muffin was delish.

Yummmmm!!! This place is in a center shared with Fogo de Chao and In and Out so the parking is impossible but might be worth the hassle to visit this coffee shop. The girl at the counter was super nice and was helpful in selecting my drink. She knew I liked a nutty and creamy latte and recommended the season drink Sesame Do. I ordered it with my fave oat milk. It was perfection in a cup. I loved the sesame cold foam. It was such a unique drink option and I'm so glad to have tried it. The aesthetic at the place was super nice. Very chill vibes. I wish I had more time to just sit and enjoy my drink. I also wish I got an extra drink for later. So yum!! Will definitely be back for more.

Had some time to kill before meeting the ladies. Decided to get them some drinks and a snack! This place has been on my bookmark for a while and finally was in the area to check it out. Inside is very moody with minimal decorations but I love that. Huge tree in the front with seats that remind me of college surrounding it. Some more seating on the wall and deep inside the store. Got a Duo Matcha and it was good. The foam wasn't too thin but not too thick. Light in flavor. Vanilla Einspanner- it was also mid, had better. Not too strong. Not too flavorful. Spinach croissant- pretty and crispy but decent Nice spot to check out if you're in the area. Lots of parking. Service was nice. Drinks came out quickly. Overall decent

My first impression was that the aesthetics are done to a T. The seating at the entrance is very creative with it surrounding a tree. There's also some cushioned seats along the walls with very tiny tables just enough to hold your drinks. We visited this past weekend during their one-year anniversary, so there was a DJ inside and we were able to choose between a canelé or a slice of cake to celebrate the occasion. We opted for the cake slice which was just okay. I find it very odd that the double matcha is $7.50 because you could order the matcha latte (for $6) and matcha cold foam (for $1) for a total of $7, which I tried, but the cashier still charged me for the duo matcha. I wasn't about to complain about 50 cents but the math was not math-ing. Regardless, I noticed that they whisk the matcha now, upon reading reviews that they used to use a pre-made mix. Although it's ceremonial, it doesn't taste that high-quality because I think they use some sort of vanilla syrup that masks the flavor of the matcha. I did like the matcha cold foam, though. As for coffee, the sesame do was delicious. I loved the black sesame cold foam and it complemented the coffee without making it too sweet.

I tried the Cambridge Latte and it was AMAZING. The cold foam was very rich and creamy. I was afraid that the drink was going to be sweet, but it was perfect. The interior inside is really nice and I think it's very spacious! Hands down one of the best cafes within the area, I will definitely go back.

Great place to catch afternoon coffee! I came here with coworkers after we ate lunch. It's an unassuming coffee shop from the outside, with a simple, clean design inside. The majority of their decorations were coffee cups on shelves. I ordered an iced decaffeinated latte with oat milk. My drink was good, even the decaffeinated coffee has a rich, bold flavor. There is a lot of seating throughout. Individual seats and tables along the front window, side wall, around the planter; seats in front of the counter; and a metal table with chairs in the back. This is where my group decided to sit and enjoy our coffees and tea. Great atmosphere for groups. The staff are patient and friendly. There was only one menu at the counter, from what I could see. They also sell pastries. Parking is free, and shared. It's right around the corner from In and Out Burger, so the line of cars will overflow during lunch.

I feel like their matcha and service has improved since I last went here! Matcha is more authentic! The line was big on a weekend! Love ordering the matcha latte with guava foam :)

Finally got around to trying Do Coffee! We got the matcha latte with guava cold foam and sea salt toffee latte. There wasn't too much of a wait, and drinks were prepared shortly. I was a little disappointed in the matcha latte with guava cold foam. The guava flavor was faint and didn't really mesh well with the matcha, and when mixed together, neither came out very prominent. Overall, cute spot in Brea but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it, as the drinks weren't super impressive or memorable.

    Guava Cold Drip Foam 5/5

Decided to pop in because the tea place next door had a very long line and this place didn't probably since it was in the afternoon. Decided to go with the Guava Cold Drip Foam which was very tasty and definitely recommend. Very cute spot and the service was great.

Pretty good spot to have coffee in. Nice interiors.. and pretty good service. Granted went here during off peak. The place has a fake tree inside to set the ambiance. Was able to taste their matcha and even sesame coffee pretty good to be honest... price wise... it is what it is. Good place to give a light afternoon snack and coffee. Parking might be a problem during peak hours...

A friend pick me up from the Fullerton train station and we were looking for coffee as we were on our way to diamond bar. I try to find local shops in lieu of big coffee shops. The vibe is really cool with wood walls and a large tree in the middle of the coffee shop. It was packed. Definitely had a minimalist design. We got a guava pastry, coffee cake loaf, and two toffee sea salt lattes. Pastries were great. Lattes were fine. I was hoping for a stronger toffee flavor. Definitely a cool place and many other options to try on our next visit.

I've been to other Philz, but this review will focus on this Brea location. The Drink: I got the seasonal salted caramel cold brew and it was delicious. Picture Starbucks' caramel macchiato but less sweet and with less acidic espresso. This Philz drink was smooth and creamy, with enough caffeine kick to keep me powered throughout the day. The Service: Our barista was very knowledgeable and offered a few suggestions and a couple of samples so that I could make the right selection. Grade A service! The Setting: Located in the new section of Brea Mall, this Philz location is a freestanding building so you have to walk outside of the mall to access it from the southwest side. There's no street parking, so you'll need to park in the large parking structure across from Nordstrom (currently...but they are doing more construction so this could change in the future). The Conclusion: As part of a franchise that doesn't act like one, the Brea location of Philz offers great coffee with excellent customer service.

Whether you need a strong cup of coffee to start the day or a perfectly made matcha, this spot absolutely delivers on both drink quality and an exceptional community feel. The Good The coffee here is strong but not too acidic, making it perfect for any day of the week. Their matcha is also fantastic; the bitterness is completely whisked out, and the full flavor is there whether you get pure leaf or a mixed drink (even if they don't make the microfoam right in front of you, or maybe I just never noticed!). The absolute best part, though, is their top-tier customer service. The Bad Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place! If I had to nitpick, I guess I haven't noticed them making the matcha microfoam right in front of me, but considering how perfect the drinks come out, it doesn't even matter. Personal Thoughts/Experience My wife goes all the time, usually picking it up after her morning workout, but I only drop in once in a blue moon. However, the one time I went in alone and completely blanked on my wife's drink, the staff knew exactly who I was and actually noticed when I made a mistake on her usual order. They fixed it for me and literally saved me an argument when I got home whoops. You just can't beat that kind of personalized, lifesaver service!
