SnipIts Pet Salon - My little guy right after a grooming

I did a walk in nail trim with my very squirmy dog. She hates her nails done but it is a necessity…read more I was promptly greeted even though it was a full house and nearly every grooming station was full. Jesse was very pleasant and kind. I shared my concerns and was heard. They took my girl back and got her in place. Then one started to tend to her nails and Jesse saw help was needed and immediately stepped in to hold my girl. Then a third person came in to help when they got to the front paws. There was a large dog barking, surely in response to my dog's nerves energy, Jesse asked for the groomer to take the dog to the back to help create a calmer experience. It helped and only two were needed to get the job done after that. I can not say enough about the staff I encountered on this random Thursday for a nail trim. I am beyond impressed with their kindness and professionalism. I am forever grateful. I will be back.

Another 5 Stars for Snipit's - and Jessy's Sparkle!…read more I just had to post a second review because Snipit's Pet Salon keeps outdoing themselves! They recently started adding the cutest little gemstone accents to the dogs' ears (done safely, of course), and my girl Faith is absolutely living for it! She prances out of the salon with bows, bling, and a whole new attitude--and it's so cute that she even keeps her bows in her toy box and brings them to me so I'll put them back on and tell her how pretty she is. Jessy continues to be the absolute best. He always finds a way to fit Faith in and treats her like royalty. His gentle, kind nature as a groomer is unmatched--Faith adores him, and so do I! Every time we go in, we're treated with kindness, consistency, and real professionalism. It's been nearly 15 months of amazing service, and I just wanted to say thank you again for making every visit feel like a spa day for my pup.

Not good at all. People like this should not be in public facing jobs that require interpersonal…read moreskills. I get that the owner must prefer animals-- but since animals aren't going to walk in on their own, human skills are also needed. Those are not skills this owner possesses. Her organizational skills are lacking also. When I spoke to her assistant to schedule the first time, I asked for a fax number to send the boys vaccinations, and after taking the time to do that, this woman had no idea how to access her faxes for some reason, and I had to bother my vet's office again. I took my two teacup Pomeranians here ONE time. One of my poms had a pretty, full coat when he went in, and when he came out, half of it was gone. I specifically asked that he not be trimmed too much. My husband thought we should give the groomer another chance. When I came for a second time, and asked her not to cut it short like last time, she argued with me, swearing she didn't cut it short. Now maybe she defines "short" as shaved to the skin or something, but his hair was so much shorter, that we had to put him in a harness one size smaller. Never had that with another groomer. Not only that, but however she cut his hair, it is not growing back. She basically wrecked his coat, and is trying to blame the dog, saying he has "coat funk" (which our vet says is made up groomer jargon). Rather than blaming the dog, all this woman needed to do was to listen to me when I told her not to cut too much of my dog's hair off. Instead, she had to be right, and had to have the last word. She refused to listen, was rude, and kept repeatedly using this term "coat funk." The final straw was when she said "I didn't give your dog coat funk." No lady, you gave him the crappiest hack job of a hair cut he's ever had, and wrecked his coat. You did that. Not the dog. And I will let everyone know that this is the last place to take a dog you care about. If your dog has any kind of double coat, I advise you to go elsewhere. If you have any special instructions you want implemented, go elsewhere. If you want to be listened to, go elsewhere. You and your dog deserve better.

They assured me they'd be careful and take their time. I found a cut and several scratched on my pups little arm upon picking her up. I was not notified that my pup was injured and when I called to talk to them about it, they didn't respond. They still haven't responded :(
