Check in was easy. They only have valet parking with in and out privileges. I received a Welcome glass of champagne. Room: I was in room 454. It was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It had a little sitting area with a table. I will say that I encountered a few hiccups when I arrived. They were fixed pretty quickly. I didn't report the AC, but it would get very humid in the room. I didn't feel like it was working properly. The room was equipped with a Keurig and a fridge. The Keurig had k cups of coffee, decaf coffee, and tea. You do get bottled water in the room. It is replenished daily. Bathroom: I liked that the sink was outside of the bathroom. The Bathroom was separated by a door. The Bathroom was also spacious and clean. The towels were nice and thick. I love the bathrobes that they provided. The toiletries smelled great. They provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap. They also had a little box with cotton swabs and a nail file. The water pressure was great and there was always hot water available. I noticed that they did not have an iron in the room, but I called and they brought it up within a few minutes. They also offered to bring in a microwave. I thought that was super nice. Balcony: the room did have a small balcony with two chairs and a table. It had a partial view of the ocean, but my room was mostly view of the parking lot. The blackout curtains worked great. Pool: the pool was amazing. There was always plenty of lounge chairs. They do stick with the rule of no holding chairs. They also have a covered area with tables and chairs where you can just hang out. They provide towels and water. I also noticed they had some block available for you for free. The attendant walked around, making sure that everyone had what they needed and there was also a waitress that could take your order. Cookies and fruit on were available on each floor daily. Bagged ice was available as well. Gym: it was clean with plenty of machines to include treadmills and weights. They also have free weights available for use. The gym was big. They had towels and water available for use. I like that you had to use your room key to get in, so I felt a little safer exercising at five in the morning. Restaurants: the property has a few areas where you can eat. They have two bars. The rooftop bar is pretty nice. I had a drink, but no food on the property. They do have happy hour specials. You could also order room service or order pick up from one of the restaurants. The hotel is right across the street from the beach. It is also walking distance to all the stores on the main street. There's a few restaurants right out on the street or you can walk 10 to 15 minutes to the major area with restaurants and stores. If you're staying longer and want to get some snacks or groceries, there is a Trader Joe's less than 10 minutes away via a car. Check out was fast and easy. They were able to hold my luggage.

I made a reservation here for the icy glow facial and a holistic custom massage as some of my friends recommended Opal. The spa environment was relaxing. I was led up the stairs on arrival to my assigned locker where I had a robe and shoes waiting for me. Inside the locker room was an infrared sauna space. There were showers and bathrooms as well. The spa attendant Irene was such a pleasure. She was so kind and accomodating. She offered me dark chocolate blueberries and almonds while I was waiting. There was tea and water available as well. I waited in the lounge area until Christine came to get me for my icy glow facial. She was fantastic! Loved this facial. My sentiments were the same for my massage by Alex. 10/10 experience for both. The spa fell short due to the fact that pool entry or any other amenities on resort property are NOT included when you're already spending hundreds of dollars for multiple treatments. Hence why I am giving it 4 stars. I loved that when I left, I was given a bag of samples of the items Christine used on my skin during the facial.

I followed the suggestion from the server, and it was very good!

Great environment! The hostess was very cordial and all staff very attentive and friendly. The food is great!

Our National Sales Meeting has been held at this location for the past two years. While we typically don't revisit the same venue, the Opal Grand in Delray Beach has made a compelling case to break tradition. With its exceptional service, beautiful amenities, flexible room options, and outstanding banquet and meeting facilities, it has been the perfect fit for our group of 65 attendees. What truly sets this experience apart, however, is the incredible team behind it. Our dedicated banquet staff--Gus Beaujardin (Manager); Encar Daza and Carlos Acuna (Captains); and Natalia Zandra, Mariella, Rob T, Geisha, Roberto, Jose Luis, Jules, Tony, Jeff, and Anisseus--have been with us for both years and have truly felt like an extension of our own team...like family. It will be no easy decision to move locations in 2027!

Our family of 18 spent a weekend here, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, courteous service--from the bellhop to the front desk staff. The hotel has a welcoming ambiance and is both clean and beautifully decorated. Check-in was smooth and easy, made even better with a complimentary glass of champagne. The front desk staff were attentive and made us feel right at home. Our room exceeded expectations--it was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. It featured a kitchen counter with a sink, fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and a nice counter space. The only hiccup was locating the safe--it took some searching, but luckily, one of our family members helped us find it. We gathered with the rest of our group at the pool, where the service from the pool bar was excellent. The drinks and food were perfect, and the atmosphere was just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

A luxurious hotel on the ocean in Delray Beach. I have never heard of the opal chain before and now I see that they're in the keys, Maine, New Hampshire and around Florida. We left our car with the valet and wandered around exploring. We passed the Floridian gift shop with lots of Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer clothing & gift items. The large fitness center, spa, monkey bar, and market. There were lots of comfortable & attractive sitting areas.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Opal Grand Resort! From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt like we stepped into a truly special place. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning--large, elegant, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful details that made every moment of our stay feel luxurious and relaxing. But what truly makes it unforgettable is the incredible experience it delivered in every single detail. The location is simply unbeatable. Being directly across from the beach means we enjoyed gorgeous ocean views and easy access to the sand and surf. Even better, the hotel is just steps away from Atlantic Avenue. There was a wonderful variety of shops, restaurants, and lively bars that we visited. Everything you could possibly want is right outside the door. Inside the hotel, the amenities are equally impressive. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and incredibly comfortable. Everything feels polished and high-end while still being warm and inviting. The property felt upscale yet welcoming making it easy for us to completely relax and enjoy ourselves. One of the highlights of the property is the spectacular pool area. The pool area deserves its own standing ovation. It's not just a pool -- it's a full resort-style oasis. The pool is huge, sparkling clean, and surrounded by lush landscaping, palm trees and comfortable lounge chairs creating the perfect vacation atmosphere. Whether we were swimming, relaxing with a book, or enjoying a cocktail poolside, it was absolutely perfect. What truly sets the Opal Grand apart, however, is the incredible staff. They are the true heart of this hotel! A huge part of that hospitality was thanks to Patricia, Concierge Manager who made our experience exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and we felt completely taken care of throughout our stay. She is warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Patricia's attention to us made our stay feel truly special. It's rare to find someone like her who brings that level of warmth and hospitality to their work, and it really made our visit outstanding. It's people like this who turn a great resort into an extraordinary experience! A special thank you goes to Kennedy, Guest Services Manager, for the excellent service, dedication, genuine care and hospitality which made our visit unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure that every part of our stay was perfect. It was clear that she truly cared about us enjoying our time at the resort and feeling welcomed. Any request we had was handled quickly, kindly, and with the utmost professionalism. Her attention and commitment to guest satisfaction made us feel valued and appreciated throughout our stay. The Opal's restaurants and bars are fantastic, offering delicious food, creative cocktails, and beautiful spaces. We enjoyed eating dinner at the Drift Restaurant, a relaxed but upscale vibe, lunch at Cascades by the pool and Monkey Bar for breakfast and cocktails. Elevate Skye Bar and Lounge, their rooftop bar is the perfect spot for great food, drinks, and an unforgettable view. I want to recognize Vinny and Shannon, as outstanding Food and Beverage Managers at this resort. Their leadership and attention to detail truly elevated the dining experience at the Opal for us. The Opal Grand staff goes out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable and happy, always ready to help with anything you might need from the front desk to housekeeping to the pool staff. It truly felt like they care about making every guest feel special and taken care of especially Josh, Guest Services Manager along with Vicki, Concierge. The Opal Grand manages to combine luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. Staying here feels less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed somewhere very special. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am already counting the days until we can visit again!

I've been coming here with my family for quite sometime and it is the ONLY hotel we will go to in Delray. We love the Opal collections also going to their other hotel location on Lake George which is a whole other story! They have so much to offer, the location is amazing, the rooms are beautiful, the gym is great, the pool is always clean. You can truly tell they make it their mission to be the absolute best.

Eyesore & embarassment for my guests to see
    Peter J.

I'll start by saying this: I hate wasting time writing bad reviews. I would much rather talk about a great experience, but this will not be one of them. My wife and I rarely get to travel together, and when we do, we choose higher end places. The Opal Resorts lobby had us feeling confident. It looked beautiful, smelled amazing, and felt like a real vacation. We arrived late, slept, and stepped onto the deck the next morning, only to find something that looked more like a New York City fire escape. It was narrow, awkward, and overlooked a roof. We politely asked to switch rooms. We packed, moved, grabbed breakfast at the Beach Market Cafe, which was excellent, and returned to find a puddle of water forming under a dripping air conditioning vent in the ceiling. The attached vent also appeared to have black mold. Back to the front desk for another polite request to move. There are 2 videos uploaded showing the water dripping, as well as a vent with black mold that didn't load properly. Management has viewed and is in receipt of the videos. By then, we had also learned the elevator issues were not user error. Other guests were having the same problem with room cards and wristbands not registering, forcing people to switch elevators just to reach their floors. The wood trim outside the elevators looked worn and dirty, and the brass clearly needed attention. And so we moved for the third time in twenty four hours. To reach that third room, we had to walk past an abandoned ice room that was a complete eyesore. I was embarrassed walking guests past it. Later, the same very pleasant woman who checked us in asked how our stay was going. She had no idea what had been happening. I showed her the photos and video, and she said someone would follow up. We asked for (embarrassing) a small voucher to at least acknowledge the inconvenience. We received a 2 drink voucher, tried to use it at Drift, which was beautiful and had great staff, and then learned it did not cover a non alcoholic beer. You truly cannot make this up. I reached out again six days later (today) and received a generic message thanking me for my feedback and promising it would be passed along. Before you book here, make sure your pool or ocean view is not actually a view over a roof. Confirm that the elevators are working properly and ask whether any construction or abandoned rooms are still visible. This was such an easy situation to fix, and management just completely dropped the ball. Blatant disregard for very basic customer service.

Looooovvveeee this hotel. My previous job held a 3 day conference there and honestly it's the thing I'm going to miss the most. The staff, the food, and the ambiance of the place is beyond amazing BUT if I said what I loved the most is the decor....it's really hard to capture in pictures the beauty of it. The other great part of this hotel is it's a short walk to the beach. Literally right across the street. Easily my favorite hotel I've ever visited.

As soon as we got off the elevator, the host was there to greet us and help us find our table, which was a nice touch. To the left was this beautiful pool all lit up at night, and to the right it felt like you were walking into a rose garden. There were vines everywhere, cute tables, and so many perfect spots for pictures. It was also great for people watching. Our table had a comfy couch, chairs, and plenty of space to hang out and relax. The service was great the whole night, and having a bar inside made it even better. We ended up staying pretty late because the atmosphere was fun, the entertainment was good, and there was always something going on. Definitely a really fun spot for a night out

Clean, smells good, has valet parking (for $42 a night). We booked our room, and online you can choose the actual room you want so we chose something on the 4th floor. When we checked in, the gave us a different room entirely on the 2nd floor. When we got to our room which was clean and simple. Live TV wasn't working. We called the front desk about this, they apparently sent someone to fix it while we were gone, but it wasn't fixed when we got back. Theres a weird window next to the bed where you can look into the bathroom...and only a curtain offers the person in the bathroom any privacy. The curtain...is on the outside of the bathroom...very very bizarre. Why would anyone want a view into the bathroom? We left to go to the pool and quickly found out there was construction ongoing and the rooftop bar and restaurant was closed. The whole reason why we came here. Because it was closed, apparently the drinks we ordered via the app they have QR codes scattered around the pool to use, were sent into oblivion because no one ever came over with them. We had to flag someone down and show them our proof of payment. The music by the pool was also deafening. So if youre trying to relax and read a book...thats not going to happen. I want to mention, nowhere on the website or checkin did they mention they were under construction. We would've never booked this hotel if we knew. You could hear the construction ongoing throughout the day. When we asked about this at checkout, they said they didnt know about it and the construction crew just showed up randomly....what?! Saturday we left for the day and when we came back around 4pm, our room wasn't cleaned at all. We called the front desk, and asked why and the individual at the front desk said "we dont do that here." At this point we are super confused. You don't clean the rooms during the day? They responded with "what do you need? Fresh towels?" We needed toilet paper, towels, conditioner and the room to simply be picked up. At checkout we asked that the resort fees (which were about $75 for two nights which is insane considering theres ongoing construction and their rooftop bar and restaurant was closed) and valet fees ($42 a night) be waived for the inconvenience and they did that no problem. Overall, the room was fine, sans the creepy window looking into the bathroom, but I've legitimately had better service at a La Quinta Inn. For a "luxury" hotel, we certainly didnt receive the experience we paid for. Over $500 for two nights and the experience was so poor we wanted to stay away from the hotel for a majority of it. Certainly wont be returning.

Before arrival, I was never informed that my room would be located on the second floor with stair-only access & no elevator assistance. Traveling with a service animal while displaced due to active home renovations, repeatedly carrying luggage up and down steep stairs alone was physically exhausting. Accessibility limitations should be disclosed upfront. Despite displaying a clearly visible "Do Not Disturb" sign, housekeeping disturbed &/or attempted to enter my room at approximately 9:00AM on multiple occasions. Being repeatedly awakened after specifically requesting privacy is unacceptable, especially for a property marketing itself as boutique luxury. The most concerning part of my stay was the treatment I received from the front desk employee, Ryan. Nearly every interaction felt hostile, combative, & entirely lacking in professionalism or hospitality. After initially booking one night, I extended my stay due to delays with my home renovations. Immediately after booking, I received a phone call aggressively informing me that I still had to check out at noon & could not check back in until 4:00PM. This occurred multiple times throughout my stay despite online inventory consistently showing available rooms of the SAME ROOM TYPE the night before & during the day I rebooked. There appeared to be no legitimate operational reason to repeatedly force a paying guest to vacate for hours while managing luggage, stairs, & a service animal. The repeated forced check-outs & room changes felt unnecessarily rigid & punitive. At one point I genuinely felt less like a guest & more like they were doing me a favor. I normally don't pay to stay somewhere that feels like a prison. The handling of my service animal was equally inappropriate. During one of the early morning housekeeping disturbances, my service dog barked after being startled awake. Within approximately 30 seconds, I received a phone call demanding that I "register my dog." I explained that it was a service animal, which I had already disclosed during check-in. Instead of acknowledging that, I was interrupted and asked, "You mean an emotional support animal?" I again clarified that it was a service animal. The interaction felt dismissive, uninformed, and inappropriate given the hospitality industry's basic obligations regarding service animals. On my final reservation, housekeeping again attempted to enter my room around 9:00AM despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign remaining posted. When I addressed it with the office, I was falsely told that I had supposedly informed staff I would be checking out at 6:00 AM. What I had actually explained was that I preferred a first-floor room because repeatedly carrying luggage down stairs alone at 6:00AM was difficult. Cleanliness was also a major issue. I stayed in three different rooms, and every room had visibly dirty floors. My socks became dirty simply from walking around the rooms. More concerning, the AC vents appeared covered with black buildup and heavy dust, raising serious concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, & indoor air quality. Regretfully, I gave the property another chance & booked an additional two-night reservation because my roof renovation was still unfinished. Almost immediately after booking, I received another disruptive phone call informing me I would again have to fully check out, change rooms, and wait until 4:00 PM to re-check in. After days of repeated disruptions, room changes, & hostile interactions, I requested that the reservation be canceled. I was initially told "no." Only after escalating my frustration vocally did staff suddenly agree to contact Expedia & process the refund. What makes the experience more disappointing is that the gentleman who originally checked me in was genuinely pleasant & professional along with the housekeeping manager. Unfortunately, every interaction afterward became increasingly adversarial. This property failed in accessibility transparency, privacy, professionalism, cleanliness, flexibility, and customer service. The repeated room transfer demands, mishandling of a service animal situation, visibly dirty conditions, apparent mold buildup around vents, & hostile front desk interactions made the entire stay exhausting & stressful. This establishment does not deserve the title of "boutique luxury." I strongly caution travelers, especially those with accessibility needs, respiratory sensitivities, or service animals, to stay elsewhere. HOTEL'S RESPONSE TAKES NO ACCOUNTABILITY, DISREGARDS THE REAL ISSUES & MAKES EXCUSES.

There are closer hotels to the beach, but on this day the beach was not my destination. I arrived mid afternoon for check-in, and I was lucky enough to get a spot right out front. The hotel does have a parking garage available at a cost, but there are also some free spaces out front. I checked in and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I got room 348 which overlooks the pool. It's a very modern room layout, consistent with most Hyatt Place locations. The AC was at a comfortable temperature, and the room was clean. The bathroom was ideal for a single traveler, it might be tight for a full family vacation. The shower pressure and temperature were decent, though unexceptional. The TV had plenty of channels, and the channels were listed in alphabetical order which made it easy to find what I was looking to see. The next morning, breakfast was complimentary, so I showed up right as the restaurant opened at 6:30 a.m. for fresh eggs, fruit salad, yogurt, etc. along with coffee and juice. Check out, with friendly staff, and a reasonable price. I am a Hyatt points member, and was awarded the right amount of points for this trip. Overall, for a great location, comfortable rooms, free breakfast, and wonderful amenities I would absolutely recommend a stay at this location.

Our room was spacious, very clean, and had plenty of room to relax. We did spend some time at the pool, but it was probably the biggest disappointment of our stay. The pool area felt more like something you'd find at an airport hotel than at a hotel in the heart of downtown Delray. It was pretty basic and lacked the atmosphere I was expecting given the location. After that, we hung out at the hotel bar to watch a FIFA World Cup match. The bartender was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made great drinks. It ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. The complimentary continental breakfast was another nice perk. It had a good selection and was a great way to start the morning. The best part of this hotel is definitely the location. You're right in the middle of downtown Delray and can easily walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and other local spots, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a really good stay. The pool area could definitely use an upgrade, but the excellent service, clean and spacious rooms, free breakfast, and unbeatable location made it a place I'd happily stay at again.
