We were going to meet up with sisters one from Vero me from Stuart one from Ft. Lauderdale so great mid point. Very nice hotel looks like been redone. Not right on the ocean but about a block or so away and there are vans to take you to the beach club with beach chairs umbrellas restaurant etc. very clean. Nice and cold inside.. very comfortable lovely staff! Room was big comfortable beds nice linens sheets towels, products. Big bath tub and small shower but find. Water pressure was a bit low but really we really liked this hotel. Good location and the room we asked for it was excellent! This will be a place we will go back to. We went to their beach restaurant great service and food we just had smash burgers with fries very good. Bathroom bedroom large size.. Nespresso coffee nice touch. Valet under cover safe parking 40$ and resort fee 40$ we were totally happy! read more

I am writing this review because I have encountered a problem that I have never had to deal with before (I travel quite a bit). I stayed at the Seagate in December of 2025. The stay itself was nice. SIX MONTHS after the completion of the stay, Seagate re-billed my credit card for the cost of the stay, which was paid for in full when I checked out. I immediately called the hotel (twice) and they claimed that they did not re-bill my credit card, although I was literally looking at the charge. I contacted my credit card company, Chase Sapphire Reserve, who explained that since the charge was still "pending", I would need to wait until it became final in order to dispute it. Within a few days the charge did indeed become final, however, Chase explained that the only way to dispute the charge was to obtain a new credit card. I was hoping to avoid this option since I have a number of accounts linked to my card. I called Seagate again and fortunately I was put through to Jonathan, front desk supervisor. He looked into the issue and after several days was able to confirm that it was a mistake on their part. He said that he was working on getting the charge refunded. In subsequent conversations he has stated that the charge is in the process of being refunded. I am now 23 days post erroneous charge and it remains on my credit card. This is truly the most perplexing, outrageous and frustrating hotel billing error I have ever encountered. I don't know if there is some sort of internal theft going on or if it is complete incompetence. I am at my wit's end. Please do not consider staying at this property. read more

Beautiful property with great potential, but a disappointing overall experience. We booked The Seagate for a last-minute spring break trip, largely because of the beach club and oceanfront experience, especially at the $800+ nightly rate. The hotel itself is lovely and much of the staff we encountered were warm and welcoming. However, the beach was a major letdown. There is currently a dredging project underway with a large pipe running across the entire beachfront directly in front of the chairs. From the front row, you cannot see the ocean at all, and guests have to walk over temporary sand bridges to access the water. This had apparently been going on for weeks and was not disclosed at booking. We completely understand that beach projects are outside of the hotel's control, but when the beach is a primary feature of the property, this feels like something guests should be made aware of in advance. I reached out during our stay and never received a follow-up. When I brought it up in person, the only resolution offered was a $40 credit, which felt out of proportion given the nightly rate and impact on the experience. Overall, a beautiful hotel, but the lack of transparency and follow-through was disappointing. Had we known about the beach conditions, we would have chosen a different property. read more

Reason for 4 star is the over priced breakfast table service and shocking à la cart menu plus gosh help me ...tater tots. Despite have multiple issues during my stay at the SeaGate, Anton Rolle and David Spina were amazing at solving problems and making sure that customer service was their top priority. The motel is beautiful, the rooms nicely decorated, and the private beach was excellent. Additionally, happy hour at the hotel bar was always fun. We had a great 4 night stay there from March 22-26 and the hotel was top notch and the Beach Club was a great asset. The walkability of the hotel location was awesome, we didn't even rent a car for this trip. As another reviewer said, it was super disappointing that the dredging project was going on at the beach because our view was huge pieces of pipe instead of the shoreline. read more

Hotel renovations are nice but it was nearly impossible to order breakfast from the Cafe (which is the only option besides room service). The line was out the door into the bar area. Two staff members were behind the counter, working as fast they possibly could but they could not keep up. They were trying to fill hot orders in additional to the typical "coffee & pastry" order. I waited a half hour in the line on the first morning of my stay but the second morning I gave up standing in line and ordered a muffin & coffee from room service (which was very expensive). The last morning I went to the Opal Hotel down the street and they were able to fill my order in an efficient and timely manner. read more

Amazing amazing hotel, I come here for my birthday and had the best time, from the valet all the way to the cleaning services, it was exceptional. They greeted us with champagne and the room we got had a big tub. They have an excellent restaurant in the lobby as well as a coffee shop. The hotel offer a car to go to near by locations when ever you please (first come first serve).... And the beach club is a 3-4 minute drive with beach beds and a pool. We checked in after calling and reconfirming with AMEX Platinum for a king room with early check in. We got there and they said there are no kings available. Then the manager said wait "I'll unblock a room" they checked us into room 229. I had a bad feeling after walking by a large electrical room that it was next door to. We didn't get back until late at night. At 11:00 PM there was a humming noise in the room that was awful. It was in the hallway too coming from the electrical room. The desk said no one can help us. I called back downstairs and at midnight they moved us into a queen handicapped room. I told the manager the next day he should comp that night. He refused. I finally got 20 percent off. He refused to give me my Amex $100 credit or my 30 per night Marriott convoy credit. This used to be a great hotel. The managers WERE AWFUL. They were dismissive. I recently booked a room online at the Seagate. Upon arrival Memorial weekend I was told they had overbooked and unfortunately needed to downgrade me to a non-view inside small room. I told the manager David that I would need to see the room first to see if it was acceptable. He agreed to refund me due to their error if I didn't like the room. Upon review of the room I decided not to stay. I was in the room for 5 min only. They never refunded me and the General manager refused to fix this issue and refund me as promised. I would not trust their unethical hotel. Good way to loose a customer and future business. Do not stay here unless you want to potentially be ripped off. We came to Delray Beach for vacation booked at another property, we left due to cleanliness issues and came to Seagate with NO reservations. Jonathan at the front desk bent over backwards and was the best rep of a hotel ever we had. Yes, we have even stayed at the Waldorf before it closed. I'm staying at The Seagate for three days after leaving Miami. My home is La Quinta, CA. All I can say is wow! Even though the hotel is currently under construction, my room is amazing. Spacious, clean and a great design. It feels very spacious, with a great big bath. I know some are not fans of a bath, but I am. I'm a bath connoisseur. Epson salts, loofa and I can watch TV from the bath. We were greeted with a chilled bottle of wine. In our room. Amazing experience so far. Great job so far on the renovation! Positives: 1. The location is great. It is close to the beach and downtown Delray. You can easily walk everywhere. 2. They have a free shuttle that will take you in a 3 mile radius of hotel which was nice. 3. The shuttle/valet staff were super friendly and helpful. 4. Room was a nice size. 5. I liked the beach club location and set up *minus some of the service, but could be easily fixed with staff training* 6. Room service was great. Areas of improvement: 1. The bartender at the beach club looks/acts miserable. We asked for a drinks menu and he made a face at us. My friend is pregnant and wanted a virgin drink and it was made to seem like a hassle. We order lunch there and they only made one of our meals and we had to wait 20 mins for the rest of our order. For the prices and the service fees added to each order you would hope for better customer service. 2. Some of the members of the Beach Club Grill staff were making crude remarks that we could hear from our table. One staff member was calling his coworker a prom dumpster baby, saying his mom should have swallowed him, etc. while I understand it was in jest it's just not appropriate conversation for guests dining in earshot. (This could easily be fixed with some customer service training). Perry was great though! 3. Me friend and I booked massages at the spa. I had a great experience but she did not. Her massage therapist talked nonstop and she said it wasn't relaxing. She was too nice to ask her to stop. She also formed some large bruises in two areas. Summary: The hotel has potential to be amazing. It seems like some staff are more friendly and professional than others. If it were consistent throughout all areas I would have given it 5 stars. read more

Stayed here for three nights for my wedding and honeymoon. Overall the Seagate was pretty, lobby area smaller and less grandiose than expected. The rooms were clean, beds not comfortable at all, one ply toilet paper, and honestly over priced. Mentioned it was my wedding and honeymoon and no one congratulated us, no champagne sent, or making us feel special. Went to the Mr. Sea restaurant for dinner during our honeymoon. Food was fabulous however no congratulations from our waiter after informing him of our honeymoon. Not to mention the extra resort fees and parking fees due to valet--you would think the $1000+ room a night would cover it. Honestly ridiculous pricing and overall disappointment and dissatisfied stay. After this experience I wish I stayed at the Marriott down the street. read more

We had no where to go, and decided to come back to the Seagate hotel. From Veronica, to Latoya and Eddie at the front desk. I cannot express how much they went over and beyond to make our stay another memorable one. Yes the hotel is under construction, but they do a very good job at making sure all guests are comfortable during there renovations. I checked out of the Seagate after one night. I was supposed to stay longer but I decided to cut my stay short because of my experience. I traveled to the Seagate from California to get some rest and relaxation. I have stayed at the Seagate before and loved it, which is why I decided to return. I was put in Room 229. This is not the room you want when you need some rest and want some relaxation. First, this room is right next to a "Mechanical Room." What this means is that every few minutes a very loud machine located next to your room will spring into action. I called the front desk about this and asked about it. I was told that she had no idea what the noise could be, and that "security" would check it out. Strike one. Second, this room is directly over a driveway. On the night of my stay, this driveway was used by a linen delivery truck. The unloading process was loud (clanging, talking etc). I opened the sliding door and asked the people unloading the truck to please keep it down, as it was 1130 pm. The truck was there all night and didn't leave until the next morning. Strike two. Third, the room is directly over a LARGE metal dumpster which is used for the property's garbage. I don't know about you, but it's not really what I want to see when I am paying $650 + incidentals/night. Strike three. As I said above, I called the front desk to ask about the machinery sounds when it became clear that they weren't going to stop. I really had no interest in moving as I was already in bed for the night and was tired because I had traveled all day. Maybe I should have moved, as the machinery noise along with the hotel's cleaning staff woke me at 5 am (a housekeeping supply room is right around the corner). When I checked out, I mentioned to the front desk that I was leaving early, and I told them why. The response I received was, "well, I hope the rest of your day is better." Completely unacceptable. Really disappointed with my experience. read more

We are approaching one year since having a wedding celebration at the Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida. From the very beginning of the planning process all the way to the end of the party, Stephanie and the entire staff at the hotel and beach club were beyond patient and so very helpful. The Seagate let us rent out the entire club for the evening, and the food, the service and the party was even better than we even expected. This hotel is cursed or haunted with the amount of unfortunate events that occured during our stay. Way too overpriced, I could have gotten a more updated room with less issues at the Fairfield inn. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Aloft or Hyatt! Much better rooms and accommodations! Only two good things about the seagate: The staff is very kind and they have some gluten free/vegan options. Reasons not to waste your money: 1. their rooms are not updated to the latest technology. The tvs aren't smart tvs so no Netflix or other streaming services, you have to pay $20+ for a movie thats free everywhere else. 2. The fridge was too small for any normal sized take out containers and the entire bottom of the fridge was filled with water. Then they told me those weren't ever set up and they forgot they even had them 3. None of the light switches work. They offered to bring up a mini fridge and it didn't even get to us until the next day as we were checking out. 4. DO NOT GET AN AJOINING ROOM esp if you don't know the people on the other side. You hear absolutely everything in the other room. 5. The fire alarms went off at like 12pm by false alarm but no one was answering the phone or telling us when it was safe to go back in. 6. Clocks and phones stopped working after a couple days, maybe the power went out? 7. THE BATH WATER IS GREEEEEN ew. 8. The balcony wad filthy and all the chairs were ripped. 9. While it did rain terribly for the first two days, it was sunny the third and they said their pool was closed just in case it rained later. It never did. Oh and their private beach isn't even connected to the hotel, you have to take a shuttle or drive there. 10. The cabinet doors came right off. Oh and I overheard another guest ask for a new room because they moved a chair and found a huge mold stain on the carpet!! read more

I was lucky that a professional opportunity landed me a stay at the Seagate Hotel and Spa in the middle of downtown Delray Beach, Florida. The location was absolutely perfect - in the midst of numerous shops and eateries and within walking distance to the beach. The Seagate was easily the swankiest hotel I've ever stayed in - fresh flowers in the room, high end toiletries and a turn down service! I came back from dinner and actually squealed (you can tell I don't get out much) when I saw the comforter turned down with a chocolate and flower on the end. There were also "turn down service" toiletries that had been added to my nightstand, including a lavender pillow spray. The jacuzzi tub further helped me wind down for the night and I was able to open a room divider so that I could watch the large flat screen tv from the tub. All of the hotel staff were very attentive and every inch was clean and glamorous (if there ever was dust, it's probably made of diamonds!) - I hope I'll have the opportunity to return! read more

My children and I are on day 3 of a 6 day vacation (while dad works two towns over). I'll start with the pros: 1) shuttle service. An excellent bonus since we're without a vehicle during my husband's work day. Tip: keep singles on you for tipping. 2) cleanliness. Hotel lobby, halls, room, fitness and pool area is impeccably clean. 3) friendliness. Everyone that works here is so kind and eager to help, wether with information or assisting in how we spend our day. Cons 1) pricey. BE AWARE- gratuity is already added to every bill you get here, so if you don't see the fine print, you'll be tipping twice. Ie: beach bar drinks, 20% already added to bill, but I didn't realize, so for three days the staff was double tipped. My bad. Also- the "happy hour".... So, no HH offered poolside, neither at the hotel nor the beach pool. You must be inside at a bar table to receive the "special" pricing. I would think that especially at the beach bar, they'd allow for HH items at the pool bar/areas... 2) and this is a reach, I know- but the slider door to access our balcony, is a real PIA. Like, it takes every bit of strength, to slide open the door- and my "view" is of a parking lot. Meh. 3) when booked hotel, I was prompted to use code "GOLDEN" for 30% off my stay PLUS. Two complimentary drinks PLUS (up to) 20% off dining. I received none of that. When I called front desk I was told I got a day for free. I don't get it. I booked 6 nights, and I guess one free day is equivalent to 30% off but I wasn't offered or entitled to any further discounts. PLUS- even off season these discounted room rates add up- $40 a day to park (valet only) resort fee then two Florida tax fees. So what seems to be $250 a night adds up to like $350 a night. Just a word of caution. I understand during prime season, this hotel goes for $900+ a night, but for this blue collar family, it's a tad out of budget.... Even the ice cream, my son had a frozen pop at the pool, was $9. Lol. It adds up fast. read more

The hotel seems great and supposedly has great ammenities like te beach club and golf course. However, the hotel was undergoing renovations, and we were not told about it at the time of reservation, and the hotel should be closed. We went for a resting vacation and were woken up at 8:00 am with the drilling of the renovations. Absolutely everything is closed, except for the Spa and a grab and go breakfast. There is literally nowhere to sit down except for your bedroom nor they have a decent place to eat. We went for a trip with a baby, and had to walk in the heat for every meal as there were no food options and it was very inconvenient. The beach club was also under renovations, so if you wanted to sit anywhere with AC it would have to be a bench in the restroom. We werent able to enjoy the beach club due to the heat and lack of access due to the reparations. We asked for an extended check out due to the aforementioned inconveniences and not only did they give us a hard time and did not acknowledge any of the above, but we were told by the manager that her assistant would give us a call as she was not available, and they never called us. The receptionist said they could keep our luggage and we could enjoy the ammenities after check out, but as noted above there were no ammenities to enjoy. I pointed out there was nowhere we could sit with AC at the beach Club and he suggested I spent the afternoon sitting in the uncomfortable, backless wooden bathroom bench with the baby. We obviously left with no extended checkout time, and as we checked out and loaded our cars to leave, the receptionist said we could now stay an hour longer if we'd like. Terrible hotel, would not recommend. It may be different during usual times, but I find absurd that they open during renovations making guests stay super uncomfortable and inconvenient. Never been to Delray before and a friend suggested Seagate so we checked it out. It is a cool hotel located on a street corner near all the action in Delray. It is not close enough to the bars to deal with any of the noise. The room was huge and I think we got the regular one. They had a small balcony but we couldn't use it much because it rained every day we were there. The check in process was easy and the staff were very helpful. The one hiccup is that the wifi is not really clear because you pay for it but they take it off the bill at the end of your stay. The rooms dont get serviced quickly either. We were out all day and it still didnt happen unless we asked. The gym was really nice and have everything you need to have a good workout. It was clean and they had plenty of towels and water if needed. The pool on site is nothing special so we went to the beach club every day. The annoying part was the fact you have to take the hotel car stuttle to the beach club every day. They didn't have the bigger shuttle in service so you had to squeeze into the escalades. I found it inconvenient. The complimentary car service was useful for dinners and any trips around the hotel but not the beach club. The beach club was nice but nothing special. I wish the beach was closer so you don't have to drive every time. In the end the stay was good but there were some things that need buttoning up. The price was reasonable and we did have relaxing time. Delray is a solid spot and i would come back to Seagate. read more

They advertise themselves as a luxury resort, but honestly, even the Holiday Inn would have been better. We booked this trip for our anniversary, expecting a relaxing getaway, but it was nothing but stressful from the moment we set out. They informed us they didn't have our names on the booking list. After almost an hour on the phone, they finally found our reservation and gave us a room--not the one we booked, but at that point, I was just happy we had somewhere to sleep. We had no amenities because the hotel was under construction, no room service, and on top of that, they charged my credit card with extra fees. I had to contact the hotel and, after being transferred to multiple people and spending almost an hour on the phone, they finally sent me an invoice. I addressed my concerns to someone in "management," but she couldn't have cared less. There are so many other good hotels in Delray. Please do not waste your money at the Seagate. read more
