We had a great 1 bedroom with California king size bed , and queen size sofa for kiddies and for half the price we paid for 1 bedroom at diamond mystic dunes resort ( recently acquired by Hilton) . I loved the third floor 1 bedroom decor. The ceilings were high with large fans, the view of fountain was phenomenal from our balcony in building 23 ! Clean , well stocked, I liked this property as it is cozy and the pools and zip lines are within steps of the condo! I didn't care much for huge properties where you need a shuttle to get you to the pools. The bar was awesome , and nearby restaurant Millers ale house had fantastic food we ordered out. If you prefer cooking Walmart's very close and delivers great organic produce for half the price of Whole Foods ! read more

I would absolutely love to stay here again! Our 2.5-day stay was not long enough! Premium location -- Vista Cay is located within just a few miles of Universal Studios, the Harry Potter Attraction, Sea World and Discovery Cove. Yes, that means lots and lots of families. Tons, really. The family-friendly factor is very high with this one. At the clubhouse, which is where you check in, you will find the pool, poolside bar, fitness center and spa. You can see Lake Cay from this location. Gorgeous! Perfect for sunset views. There is also a game room here -- numerous different arcades. And there's also a pool table. We went with the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo. Perfect for our sizable group of women. Outside of check-in and visiting the clubhouse for pool time, it did not feel like a hotel stay. It felt like we lived there! The room (read: apartment) was open and spacious. In addition to a fully functional kitchen with all the amenities, it had a washer and dryer on site, a lovely balcony overlooking the water and easy access to the pool. I thought it was pretty cool that one group was using the outdoor grills near one of the patios for a dinner and picnic. Only dings: Check out is late -- 4 p.m., with a 10 a.m. check-out. Boo! Also, you don't have regular room service. Run out of pool towels? Fella at the front told me we were SOL -- we had to wash the towels instead of receiving new ones. That was a bummer considering we were, at that moment, ready for pool time and didn't want to have to wait an hour for towels to be cleaned. And an cleaning Fee at $80 for all stays of four nights or less? That makes no sense. Other that that, this is a wonderful spot -- especially for large groups. When I'm staying more than a night in Orlando in a group of three or more I usually try to find a condo here. It's centrally located to most of the places I go and easy enough to get in and out of. Booking a condo can be a little confusing for some since it's not like a hotel, and there are a few ways to book; either through finding an owner that has a unit available through sites like VRBO or Homeaway or by booking with the main company Millennium which is what I wound up doing on my most recent stay. Because many of the units are maintained and owned by private individuals cleanliness can vary a little, the corporate owned unit I stayed in however was immaculate and well taken care of. There's a Walgreens within the complex and a Publix right next door, perfect for those who want to save a little money and make use of the full kitchen which usually has all the pots, pans, and utensils you will need. Keep in mind that there usually aren't any salt and spices so keep that in mind when picking up stuff to cook. To anyone looking for a place to stay with multiple people, even for relatively short visits, I recommend giving Vista Cay a try over getting multiple hotel rooms. It saves money and it's more fun when everyone stays together. Even if you planned on staying in one hotel room, it's still not much more than a moderately priced hotel. The only reason why I don't give it a 5 star rating is because pricing does vary from owner to owner pretty wildly, especially with those who like to charge extra fees beyond the typical cleaning fee; like a "security fee" or "resort fee", it should be room, tax, and cleaning fee (which is usually be waived for longer stays) Like I said, it can be a little confusing but it's well worth the effort in my opinion. read more

Beautiful spacious clean 3 bedroom condo with a full kitchen and all the perks as a rental while in town for a convention was pretty damn terrific! While I was here in Orlando a few months back my company worked out some rooms for us here at Vista Cay. When I walked into my room I was expecting the norm and was blown away to find that it was a spectacular huge condo unit. Large comfy bed, huge master bathroom, great living space with cable tv and large flat screens, laundry room, balcony area with nice views, and full kitchen. There is a Publix supermarket and a Walgreens close by so stocking up on foods for breakfast and snacks for night time was a great plus. The fridge kept my beers nice and cold. I really never had to leave this place other than going back and forth to the convention center. Even better was the free wifi that came with the space so I was always connected. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Considering I was here for a work trip I kinda felt as if I was on vacation. Just wish I had more time to use the large pool off the clubhouse check in building. There's a tiki bar there too. read more

We rented a deluxe condo (2 bed room, 2 bath) here while on vacation in Orlando for 1 week through Expedia. The place we rented (#402 in Building 4114?) was nice but there were somethings that could use tending to. For one, the bath towels provided were threadbare and one was coming apart at the edges. And some signs that were up just didn't seem customer friendly. (They had an inventory list on the kitchen counter of literally every thing in the condo and stated charges would be made if things went missing. Kind of makes you wonder who they rent to even have to go to the lengths of openly leaving an inventory list.) Another sign in the bathroom said additional charges would be added if towels were ruined by makeup or shoe shining. (Random, and again, it makes you wonder who are the kind of people they rent to.) There was a resort fee of $11 a day, but parking was free and they had many amenities (multiple pools, a gym, and on site store). There was also a Publix and Walgreens right outside for convenient shopping. The condo was on the fourth floor in one of the buildings in the caged development behind Publix (I.e. Not the main area). It was nice because there was a secondary pool directly across from our building that was no where near as crowded as the main pool. The building itself was extremely quiet; we never ran into any other tenants and only a few employees doing landscaping. The one day while napping, I did hear a knock on the door, but since I was napping, I ignored it. Then this random guy, who apparently works there, walks in and sees I'm sleeping on the bed. Turns out he was there to change out an air filter? He did have one with him and seemed really embarrassed, but I don't understand why we weren't informed by the development. Especially since it wasn't something that was not time sensitive. It just makes you wonder if they come in at other times when you're not there. The whole thing was kind of shady. All in all, the price was right and location was good. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home for their vacation instead of a hotel room. read more

Out of all the Resorts I have not only visited meeting up with family but have stayed this is my least favorite. Imma get right to the point. 1. All the building areas are not connected you have to drive to the clubhouse, main office etc. 2. The employees need a shepherding call. They are not friendly, not very helpful and just plain and lame. One guy (older) was nice. I feel as though if they were being nice to others there was no reason to not be with me. Im so chill I don't promote negativity. 3. Poor customer service 4. Poor customer service 5. Poor customer service if your having a bad day stay at home I should not have to pay $800 and feel uncomfortable to ask a very simple question. Seriously. I am still here until Sunday and uncomfortable going to the club house area period. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's nice, clean well some of the dishes were dirty but it was mostly clean. The convenience of shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, food etc wins the prize for this one. The bar is on the other side where the main pool is which you have to actually drive on the main road with traffic lights to get to. Not to mention you cannot drink at the pool lounge area unless you buy their expensive drinks. They will chase you down and make sure of it. I am a CEO of a private restaurant consultant company located in Naples FL, and as a person that understands how this particular business or even businesses in general run I would fire all the employees if they did not except a 2 week training course for hospitality, customer relations and profit and loss. Profit by making customers want to come back. Loss by making customers not want to come back. Who ever is in charge, your employees severely pissed me off this morning because I asked for the Wifi and she looked at me and responded to me as if I was literally bothering her. This is after I asked her were could I sit to do work OBVIOUSLY INSIDE and she responded like I did not see tables outside. 2 Weeks of training this lady needs. Nice to have a full three bedroom condo to stay at with a full living room and kitchen. Everything was in good shape. Only downsides were the bedding in the unit we had. Comforter was creepy and did not look clean and the pillows like rocks. We went to Walmart the next day to buy new bedding. The place is professionally run. Easily one of the nicest places to stay around Orlando and likely the only one if you're at Universal. Stayed two nights in one of their three bedroom condos that had a game room. There is a grocery store next door and a Walgreen's but otherwise you're over to International if you need more (only 5 minutes away). For less than $200 a night, the location was ideal as I was attending an event across the street at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. While the rooms there were nice, for the same price we could sleep six with a huge spread (around 2,000 sq ft) rather than have just a room with two beds. It's the place I'm staying at in the future when travel calls for Orlando. read more

Vista Cay is a decent complex off the beaten track in Orlando...close to the Convention Center and about 20 minutes away from Disney World. The other reviews give a really good idea of the amenities and perks to staying...so let me tell you, I knocked off one star mostly for this: NO RECYCLING. I was mortified they didn't even have aluminum recycling at the club house. Disgraceful. There are hundreds of units here, some are full-time residential. Again I say, Disgraceful. So here's my tip: TAKE YOUR RECYCLING TO THE PUBLIX GROCERY a few blocks away. They have one bin there. Second tip: CHECK VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner web site) for units...they will be cheaper than the units on Priceline, Expedia, etc...even with the house cleaning fee. I wish I'd figured out before I booked because if you have a week or more stay, the savings are significant. Additionally, you will know exactly which unit you are getting and can get one close to the pool...not guaranteed otherwise. read more

Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy any of the fun amenities here because I was in town for work. But I did very much like our 3 bedroom condo. The kitchen was fully equipped and we even had a full sized washer and dryer. There was a great view of the lake and we could even see Universal Studios a little ways away. If you're into working out there's a trail around the lake - just look out for snakes (and possibly gators)! There is a Walgreens on the complex and a Publix across the street which makes shopping very convenient. Oh and did I mention free wi-fi? I have to agree with Randy C though and I wish the beds had better linens. I don't think they were creepy per se, but the covers were quite thin. The only other negative was that our unit felt a bit stuffy and humid even though it was only March! read more

Great complex by Millinium. Well maintained, attention to detail. Great place for an extended stay in Orlando. Gym and pool facilities, all the 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom condos have at least 2 bathrooms and spacious floor plans. Comfortable 2 person full size kitchen, compact laundry room and nice small balcony. Close to Sea World, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), Universal Orlando and easy driving to DisneyWorld & Epcot Center. I always stay here for any conventions, who normally charter Mears to do transportation from Vista Cay to the OCCC. Great job guys, see you next year! read more

This place was great. The condo was big, well appointed, and super clean. It was very stripped down in terms of kitchen essentials, but we made do. Just make sure to get things like salt and condiments. Everything else you needed was there...including beach towels, wifi, and air conditioning :) I would give it five stars but the club house pool doesn't let you bring your own drinks (there is a bar there), so you have to sneak them in inside water bottles and the arcade games were not all working. There's plenty of seating by the pools and a little shop with postcards. The desk will mail them for you too, which is great. There's also a Walgreens really close. We stayed for 8 days during the week of a wedding at Rosen Shingle Creek. It was a great way to save some money and get away from the wedding madness. Definitely check it out if you're looking for accommodations. read more

This place is cozy & homey. The place is great, but 3 stories is just way too much. The pool is great. The area is safe. It even has a little shopping center and Walgreens within walking distance, so if you ever need anything, you could just step outside and get it. Not too far from Universal, Disney World, & the water park either. The staff is accommodating as well. When we first arrived, the code to unlock the door wasn't working, so we had to call someone up to help us. I'm glad they came within minutes because it was way too muggy and hot outside. But I swear this place is haunted. Or at least the home we stayed in. One night while my boyfriend and I were laying in bed, we had the door slightly open, just enough to see the hallway... A few minutes later, the door creaked open slowly and we both swore we saw something run past the hallway. The next morning, we told my parents and it just got even more spine tingling because they told us they had experienced something similar the previous night. lol & the garage is just plain creepy. I'm glad I wasn't the one doing laundry because I didn't want to step foot in there after I saw it. Despite the scary events that took place during our stay, I'm pretty sure this place would have deserved 4 stars lol. read more

Rooms were amazing. 3 flat screen TV's, 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, great location with Publix just down the road. My family stayed there for 6 nights, went to Miami, then came back for another 9 nights. The reason I gave Vista Cay only 3 stars is because during the first stay my mom had bought more toilet paper, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for their first stay. I was a bit confused as to why she did this but didn't think too much of it at the time. However, upon check in the second time I asked the front desk for a couple more toilet rolls etc. as they had run out the first time and they said "we only provide what is given to you in the room and if you run out of anything, you will need to provide them for yourself." I could not believe this. So do you give the same amount of toilet paper, dishwashing liquid etc. to family that is staying there for 2 nights and to a family that is staying 7 or more nights?! Just doesn't make sense. Was very disappointed with this. Expected a lot more for such a nice resort. read more

SKIP THE DISNEY RESORTS AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO THIS PLACE!!! We stumbled across this place online and decided to take our chances for our family vacation. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom townhouse with a driveway and garage. The town home was perfect - for a family of six - there was an abundance of room and it was nice having a large kitchen to cook breakfasts in, rather than having to eat on the go. The property was also really nice - large pool with a bar and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back here next year!! read more

These units are HUGE! We booked a 2 bedroom premium suite and it was about 2000 square feet! Great for families or if you need to share a room. The pool area is very nice and there are basic gym facilities. Ample parking and easy access to all the theme parks. It was also convenient having a Walgreens in the complex. There is some moderate noise transmission from floor to floor. My only complaint was the lack of supplies in our particular unit. I'm not sure if they're all like this, but I was surprised that no dishcloths were provided. There was also no laundry soap or dish soap. It was surprising since the intro letter mentioned starting a load of laundry when you check out, so I assumed they would offer laundry soap if that was the case. Other than that, no issues. As far as I know most of the units are maintained and owned by private individuals, so conditions may vary. The one I live in is very clean comfortable and well taken care of. There is a public near by, so you can buy and cook yourself a diner I think it's a great option for those who don't want to rent a hotel room especially if you have more than 4 people. For those of you who find it a bit sketchy to book a vacation villa with an independent owner instead of a hotel room through a big chain, don't be! I just spent two weeks in one of the three-bedroom condominiums at Vista Cay for a grand total of £978. That's only £70 a night! And that price, my friends, was split between six adults! That is £11.50 a night. Let me repeat myself. I stayed in central tourist Orlando - a fabulous location for anyone planning to do all the theme parks and outlet shopping during his or her visit (not just Disney) - for £11.50 a night. And, let me tell you another thing, the accommodation at Vista Cay is OUTSTANDING. The condo was massive, fully kitted out and modernly appointed. It had two sitting rooms, two double bedrooms, a big second bathroom, a huge master bedroom and an absolutely massive master bathroom. It had an epically sized balcony with four full-sized deck chairs and with an overhead fan to top it off. The open-plan kitchen had every utensil and amenity you could need (except, bafflingly, a kettle). The villa I was in did have free wifi; however, the linksys router had the same name as another linksys router in one of the surrounding villas (likely because they were owned/managed by the same people), which made the internet essentially useless (that is, until we changed its name by logging in to the router as the administrator since no one had bothered to change the stock linksys name and password; after that the internet worked great). The resort facilities at the clubhouse include pool tables, a game room, a large heated pool, a hot tub, a basketball court and a business center. And the complex is literally minutes from bustling International Drive, but its under-developed Universal Blvd location makes it quiet respite after long tourist days in the blazing Orlando sun. The local Publix is within easy walking distance (although who walks anywhere in Orlando's unrelenting heat?), and it's huge and fabulously quiet at all times of the day. The villas themselves are owned by individuals (the one I stayed in was owned by a Welsh woman), and I can understand how this might worry people when they're planning their incredibly expensive Orlando holidays, especially from great distances, and do not want anything to go wrong. But all villas within the complex are managed by Vista Cay despite being owned by individuals, so any problems you might encounter during your visit can and will be resolved locally. Before my visit, information about the complex gate access codes and an access code to the villa itself (which is changed with each new guest) was given to me, so I was able to just show up and show myself into the villa without having to go through any formal "check-in" process. My only word of warning, though, is that some of the condos are lived in by locals, so it's not just tourists you'll encounter in the complex (although this is the primary demographic), as I learned the hard way when I came home at 11pm after a long day to the raucous noise of a college house party in the unit below mine. Luckily, there's a number for the complex's security officer in the information booklet contained in each villa. And after a quick Google search I discovered that it is "unlawful to play any radio, phonograph or any musical instrument or operate a sound-amplifying device . . . in such a manner or with such volume, especially during the hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., as to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any dwelling, hotel or other type of residence" in Orlando. We learned the hard way that not all units in Vista Cay are created equal. Some are run by Millenium and some are privately owned and rented (not differentiated when we booked so we had no idea). We were in a privately owned 3 bedroom. Large, well decorated, and clean. However, the tv in the living room did not work. We called the front desk and were told that we are in a privately owned so we had to all HOA, we did and they said that they would send someone to fix it which they never did. Then my travel agent said to call the management company. We did and they said that they would send someone but they never did either. So the tv did not work the whole week. We were not told about amenity cards (again because it's privately owned so it was like renting on VRBO even though we didn't)...we had to go to the HOA and track those down. One of the bedrooms had water stains all down the wall. One of the pillows had hair on it when we got there. Two of the pillows had no pillowcases. No extra blankets and no towel racks in the very spacious bathroom (so two huge empty walls with no place to hang towels). One of the bathroom shower doors had a broken latch. We were told the initial products would be provided but we would have to buy what we needed. Two bathrooms and both had a half of roll of toilet paper when we arrived at 10 pm. No back up so with seven people, we ran out pretty quick...luckily we had napkins with us. No laundry detergent, no dish detergent, no hand soap. The only "supplied" products were sample size shampoo, conditioner, and sample size bar of soap. We planned to grocery shop anyway but why list it if you don't provide it? I reported all of this to the management company and they replied "we'll make a note of it". For what we paid to rent here,I expected much better. I will never rent here again without verifying that the unit is part of the Millenium...privately owned are definitely a gamble!! read more

Requested a late check out by 2pm, which came with an additional 75$ fee. Ran around the corner to a gas station and witnessed a woman killed by a hit and run driver. I can still hear the sound of her body flying off of the hood of the car, flipping 360 in the air, and crashing face first into the pavement. And the blood. It was a shocking thing to behold first hand. Everyone got out of their cars and it was absolutely dead silent. And after the police cleared the scene, we ended up being late for check out by an hour and a half. I told this all to the manager, but he wouldn't even look me in the eye. No sympathy, no emotion. Just business. $$$. Charging us an entire additional 150$ (a fee for entire extra night) on top of the 75$ late check out. But it gets even better. To add insult to injury, he then alleges that we left the house a mess and with an odor and added another 50$ cleaning fee to our stay. I calmly closed my eyes, shook my head and just walked away. What rapacious business model are you running at Vista Cay? I guess you do not care for repeat visitors. We found roaches (not the small ones either) in the bathrooms several nights; no thanks for playing roach exterminator at 3 o'clock in the morning. But you still found it appropriate to charge us a cleaning fee for an "odor", despite the fact we followed all of your rules. No smoking. We cleaned every day. Taking out the garbage and disposing of it properly. We never wore shoes in the house, and we even washed the dishes and cleaned out the fridges, bedrooms, closets and laundry. We only used the house for cooking eggs for breakfast and getting 8 hours of sleep for our weekend event. Nice money grab, taking advantage of young adults, tacking on last minute charges because you can; good business ethics; I wish you all great success. read more

Let me start with a statement to the owner- you have a lovely home and we appreciate every detail! We stayed in #182 on Tidecrest. But you need to find a new management company. It seems like there are plenty of reputable management companies in Orlando other than Casiola. We entered the home at 11:00pm on July 10th and went straight to sleep. We woke up at 6:00am and went directly to our daughters' dance competition. After lunch we returned to the house to shower. That is when we realized we had 4 towels instead of 8. I called the management company to request 4 more and was told that I could get them only by paying $44. Samantha Carpenter, with audible prompting by CEO Dennis Goedheid, said there was no one in the company higher than her. But we could hear Dennis telling her what to say to us. She said there were definitely 8 towels there when we arrived. (I assure you Samantha was not there when we arrived). She accused our 12-year-olds of taking them to the pool. Didn't happen. She said I should have reported the missing towels when I arrived. We reported them when we noticed. I have rented from many many management companies worldwide. I totally expected her to say "We will bring you 4 towels right away. Please let us know what else we can do to make your vacation a happy one." Instead I got yelled at. Was blamed for stealing 4 thin cheaply-made white towels. So not only will I NEVER RENT FROM Casiola again, I'm going to point out their rudeness via social media. When I told Samantha I was going to do this... she yelled "go for it! I don't care!" she ultimately brought us 2 towels but only because we threatened to cancel our AMEX payment and find other accommodations. Do NOT rent from these people. Location. Location. Location. I live in Orlando and when my parents come to stay up here they like to rent their own house for easy coming + going as well as for their dogs. I have carpet but Vista Cay has tiled/wood floor options. This was a big plus!! On top of that, they had a private garage with additional parking and a gated entry with a secured code to enter the vacation rental home. Everything regarding amenities and even toiletries came included. The first night, the fridge was frozen completely but upon their complaint, maintenance came and repaired it. Everything from them setting up the rental to paying and even getting an extension on time for checkout was seamless. Only reason I knocked off a star was for the three stories. You have to basically climb throw the narrow stairs to get from one side to the other. It's quite obnoxious. All in all, great stay for them + they will consider it again in the near future. read more

Two rooms had king size beds and the other one had two twin beds. Gated community right next door to shopping plaza (publix and dunkin donuts) right off universal drive a short drive to theme parks. We checked into the condo (Bldg 4114 Unit #307) on Dec. 26th. The condo appeared fine. Spacious. It wasn't until my adult daughter got ready for bed that we realized that one of the twin beds had a large stain on it. She checked the second twin and it was fine. We took a pic and decided we would show the front desk folks when we checked out. When we got up the next morning for breakfast I pulled a bowl out of the cupboard and it had food hardened on it. That was a bit disgusting. I took a pic so we could share with the front desk. The rest of our stay was fine. The pool was nice. Weather was great. The trail was an added bonus. Would have been nice if they had trash cans around it and benches as there seemed to be quite a bit of trash/aka dog poop bags that were left on the trail. This could have been alleviated with said trash cans. We decided we wanted to go home early one day as the condo was just feeling a bit unclean. I was disappointed that the front desk would not work with us even after seeing the pictures of the stained bed and dirty dish. They told me I had to work directly with the owner but refused to give me their contact info. I booked the condo through Home and Away and reached out to the owner through the website but did not hear back. I would not recommend staying in this unit again or at Vista Cay as they had poor customer service skills. I will be sharing this info. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious 3 BR suite with all of the amenities. The pool was spacious and we didn't feel cramped. I was surprised some of these were residential, some rental through Vista Cay, and some through independent rental. The grounds were well kept and we felt safe! Walgreens and Publix were very close. I enjoyed that it wasn't so close to I-Drive that you felt like you were in the middle of everything. It was serene but only a few minutes away. We will be back! read more

Huge 3 bedroom condo with EVERYTHING you need. Our three night stay was not long enouch, I didn't want to leave! The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after hitting the amusement parks all day. The kids had a blast swimming and playing in the game room. So close to everything. Universal was maybe a 5 minute drive. You get way more than what you expect for the money. Will definitely be staying here again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

A group of 5 friends and I stayed in a townhouse at Vista Cay in February when in Orlando visiting a friend. Overall the experience was excellent. Because of a problem with an air conditioning unit in the original premium suite we booked, they moved us to a townhouse and have us a complimentary night stay. The manager we dealt with, Nestor, was INCREDIBLY helpful. He was so apologetic, depite it being out of his control, went above and beyond to accommodate us and made sure that we were satisfied with the result. The pool was great, the townhouse was great, the price was great, and the location was perfect for our needs - very close to Disney and also a lot of local restaurants and spots to walk around. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

The Vista Cay Resort is a great place you get alot of luxury for a very affordable price. The resort is fantastic with all of the amenities I love the Jacuzzi. I rented directly from owners I priced it against other firms and there is a big price increase going with firms that have big offices on site. I guess someone has to pay all those employees. I used to live here actually. The property is within minutes/walking distance of Sea World, Aquatica, and all of the I-Drive attractions. The property itself is maintained and kept very well. It was about $1200 a month for the condo we were renting at the time, and well worth it. I enjoyed knowing that it was gated, secluded, had many amenities, and was within close proximity to everything. The inside of these condos are pretty upscale for what you pay. I would definatly love to live or even stay there again when I make my way back down to Orlando. read more

This place (regardless of what management company you book through) is terrible. Some of my coworkers and I rented this for a conference we were in town for. Firstly, they didn't even spring for a $.10 coffee filter for their guests. When I called and asked about why they couldn't provide that, a VERY RUDE, argumentative representative told me he would have to ask his manager to provide filters (even though the coffee maker and cups were provided). Secondly, there was no soap in the kitchen, at all. We had to buy hand soap just so we could wash our hands while we prepared food (gross). Then day 4 came, we checked out ran their dishwasher, did 2 loads of laundry and then left. We had an evening flight and headed to the pool but because we had checked out, we didn't have a towel (which no pool towels were in our room). We politely asked the front dress for a towel and were told (even though we shared our story) they weren't going to let us use a towel because we haven't booked through Vista Cay. We decided we were pretty over this property and decided we would just go to a real hotel who treats their guest like guests and not trash. Vista Cay, step it up, you're just terrible. read more

I have looked at the reviews and were surprised that we did not have better service. We booked this through Bookit, first if all my sister called up to ask questions and they got our reservation for the wrong weekend. She was annoyed by the lack of organization before we even checked in. She called a second time, asking more questions like is there a shuttle like most resorts have, there was not. Okay we can live with that. She asked about check in and out and were told different hours. Do the front desk know what they are doing? We were still excited and came with a positive outlook. We check in and were told there was a $75 cleaning fee, this was not expressed on the Bookit site. We said we would clean it ourselves. We could have stayed at Embassy Suites and got a free breakfast and better service. Ohwell, live and learn. Well we enter the room was nicely presentation. My sister room was fine. Mine of the other hand had stains on the floor and smelled of mold, which really bothered my allergies. It was nice to have a full kitchen, which my sister and I walked over to a pizza place and shopped at Publix. The dishes could have been cleaned better, I saw hairs on the cups. On top of it the air stopped working during the night, we called to have someone to fix it, we were told someone would be there in 15 min, we called 2 hours later and they finally fixed it. I am not a person that complains but this place was not very professional in my opinion and I believe others need to know what they are getting in to, I did voice my concerns to them and they had the nerve to tell me about there rewards program.
