My husband and I had an appointment scheduled for today (January 30) that I confirmed with Sheldon on Wednesday. However, I received a call just 45 minutes before our appointment, stating that I wasn't covered under my husband's insurance, which was incorrect. Afterward, I called back to clarify that I could access my benefits through the portal. They advised me to arrive early so they could sort out the issue. I then contacted VSP, who reached out to the clinic to confirm my coverage. Upon arriving at the clinic while still on the phone with VSP, I informed the staff of the situation. Unfortunately, the receptionist dismissed my information and insisted that the call center does not verify benefits, then called VSP herself. It turned out the clinic had entered the wrong date of birth. All that was needed was a simple phone call to verify the information, especially given the error displayed in the portal when they were trying to verify my benefits. When asked if I had completed my paperwork, I explained that I never received it. The receptionist then offered a QR code to complete it, but I was so frustrated that I decided to leave and seek care elsewhere. I never got a chance to meet the providers, who might have been great, but the staff's unprofessional and disinterested attitude left a poor impression. Clearly, customer service is not a priority at this clinic, and I would not recommend it to anyone. If I could give a minus 5-star review, I absolutely would, solely based on this incident. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service left a lasting negative impression. It's frustrating when a simple verification issue spirals into such a bad experience, especially when it could have been easily resolved with a phone call. This place is amazing. Both doctors at this place are very good. They take their time and go over everything with you. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. I am so glad I found this place about 3 years ago. I tell a lot of people don't sleep on this doctors office. They are both really concerned about yours eyes. I would rate The whole office as a number 10. The ladies up front are real nice. They make you feel like you supposed to be here. These people care about you and your well being. Just incredible people. Also the Dr in the picture with me is Dr Jack Ibrahim real good. He will be my eye doctor now. Real nice people. read more

This place is horrible, the "manager" had the worse attitude ever. Came in for an emergency and I was immediately greeted with a very nasty tone "so what's wrong with you" " am a need you to sanitize before you touch my stuff ", which I had already done before she asked me. I explained the emergency I had and told her my eye was injured, she called another person on the phone to verify my insurance and referred as " I have a person here with insurance name " but her tone was still diminishing. Then she stated my insurance deductive had not been met so she stated I would have to be paying out of pocket. She refused to give me the amount and immediately assumed I could not pay for it. I told her fine I'll deal with insurance later. She still refused to provide me service even though I she knew I needed help due to my eye injury. I told her her tone was rude and erratic. Then she began to argue with me as of how she was being rude. I asked to speak to the manager and she stated she was the manager, then I asked for the doctor and she stated he worked under her command. She also refused to give me the name of her manager and her corporate office. I was trying to avoid going to the emergency room since they were open but I guess not. Horrible service. I would love to be contacted regarding this incident by someone other than her. I can only imagine how she is with other clients. This girl had another person working with her and she was as horrible to her as to me. She probably does not like someone else other than her race, which is white. Or maybe someone else other than her smh. The other lady was very nice and sympathize with my issue, that's probably why the other girl was acting dum like that. read more

This is one of the most disrespectful disgusting places to get your eyes checked. Will never go back and will never refer to others. Very rude over the phone, couldn't book mine of my husbands appointments. Used profanity while speaking to me and when I asked to speak with someone in charge the girl stated that she was the office manager. I asked for her name and she would only say her name was Wells Fargo. Very childish office. Staff horrible. Ms. Wells Fargo told me I needed to learn English before wanting to speak to someone over her. I have never been treated like this before. Wouldn't let me speak to HR or doctor. The doc is very nice and thorough. But beware: they insist that every patient have an extra $39 imaging done whether you want it or need it, and it's not covered by insurance. They also don't let you decline it. So go elsewhere if you don't want the extra charge. read more

Well let me join the long list of people who complain it's all about the money. I filled out the form online when making my appointment and checked the box as diabetic, been Type 1 for 36 years. I have worn glasses for 38 years. They called asking for insurance I told them what I had and was told they were out of network for my coverage. I said okay I'll pay cash quoted $128 for eye exam. Called back and said I see you checked contact exam that is $168-238 depending on results, I said okay I'll decide when I get there. Haven't worn contacts all year so I decide on eye exam only. I was then asked since I checked the diabetic box, did it making appointment never questioned on 2 previous phone calls, if I take medication for my diabetes. Of course, type 1, I have to. I was then asked if I had my diabetic eye exam, earlier this year I answered. Can we get those results? I imagine not on a Saturday I say. Well we will need to do another diabetic eye exam if we cannot get those results. What a crock! Thanks for wasting my freaking time. I have never been asked by any optometrist to see any results from my yearly eye exam in the roughly 25 plus visits I have made for new scripts in 36 years. Since I had no inclination to pay extra than what was quoted, I was not able to have my eyes examined. Imagine that!! Go to Target or Walmart, don't waste your time with these shysters. read more

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, A COMPLETE FRAUD! I noticed that i was charged an additional $40 a month after my initial visit (2/11) for an eye exam. Anyone who wears glasses know that there isn't a copay or very little copay for basic glasses eye exams. I have no astigmatism or anything else that would effect that. I still ended up paying $100 for the $10 copay, contact exam and $30 for something else the insurance didn't cover that they provided... fine, not a problem at all. I received my invoice and exam and left after PAYMENT MY TOTAL IN FULL. An exact month later I noticed my bank acct debited $49 from MasterEye ok, i call of course to see why because beforehand I was told by my insurance that I owed them nothing else. The lady who answered the phone said they have no control of the charges and to just 'dispute it' with my bank.... Excuse me?!? Then I was told that there's no billing department at this office... call Arlington. I've been calling Arlington for the past 2 weeks and FINALLY got a hold to someone from billing whom never called me back after being told she was left several 'notes' regarding the issue. I'm sure she didn't call back because she knows their company is FRAUD. But wait... that isn't even the worse part... she now tells me that my MEDICAL INSURANCE was billed bcus they found that I have a medical condition that showed in the photos!!! Wait WHAT!?! Why am I just now hearing that I have a medical condition while calling regarding a charge? I have now been on hold with the cedar hill office to whole time I've been typing this and no one has came back yet.... DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOUR EYE EXAMS!!! Whatever you sign beforehand is apparently authorizing them to charge your card for whatever reason they choose. read more

There is always one that has to write a bad review I guess. I went and I was told my copay would be 10. When I got there they took me back and took pictures of my eyes, ran a few other tests, never telling me what they were and never told me that my insurance did not cover these extras. I went in to see the Doctor who by the way was wonderful. He was really nice and did a great job. Go to front desk to check out and was informed that it would be 49 and some change. I asked why as I was told over the phone that it was 10. She then tells me that my insurance didn't cover all these extra test they ran without me requesting them. Told me that she would not release my script to me without the amount paid in full, I told her she wasn't going to do that and that she would be giving me my script as no one made me aware of these things prior to doing the extra testing. Or even what the extra testing was for. She told me well, we will wave these fees this time but, you'll have to pay them on your next visit. It's awful because I really like the doctor but, the shady practice of the desk tells me I will not be going there in the future. Hope this helps someone down the line.... ASK QUSTIONS don't just think they are doing a normal exam, ask why why why and if it is covered covered covered!!!! read more
