She told me that they didn't take vision plans, only medical plans through UHC. But when my agent went through the providers they were listed in there. She wasn't very friendly at all when I questioned her. I reached out to my agent and ask her to call to see if she could get any more information. She contacted them but no luck. She asked to speak to someone that worked with insurance and the receptionist told her she needed my Id number which she had but then she told my agent that she couldn't talk to the insurance company. She was very rude to my agent. So needless to say they lost a customer and I would not recommend Ophthalmology Associates to anyone. This was very unprofessional to answer the phone and treat people like this. Very very disappointing in my experience.

I sat in the lobby until 10:50 then was called back. They ran three or four tests, then sent me back to the lobby to wait for the doctor to get free. I was there for 30+ minutes and now I'm back in an exam room still waiting for the doctor and it is Noon. Basically I've wasted over an hour and a half (and still counting). As I said - it seems to get worse with every visit and I'm not sure how much longer I can give them my business. It is sad when doctors overbook and create such backlog and waste of time for their patients. Speaking of patients - I'm pretty much losing my patience.

Very thorough with the exam and explanation of what he saw. I have scheduled cataract surgery and I've known for a couple of years that it would be needed. I have no hesitation in selecting Dr. McCoy to do the surgery!

I was told the glasses did not reflect the prescription I was given. So, I went back to eyebuydirect.com were I purchased & passed on that information. Eyebuydirect provided me with another pair which felt the same to me as the 1st, so I took them to the Sawyer to verify, along with the 1st pair. I was told they both did indeed match my prescription! To say the least, I was not pleased to hear that. I was given no explanation as to why I was told the 1st pair did not reflect my prescription. I was told not to worry & I was given an appointment to have another eye exam, for a new prescription. I sent used my re-issued prescription to get new glasses from eyebuydirect.com The 3rd pair did not work either, so another appointment at the eye center to find out why! I was told I should have cataract surgery. I said the Dr told me I did not need surgery, @ my 1st screening appointment. Then I was told since I was satisfied with my current eye glasses I purchased over 2 years ago, they would just re-issue it again, as a revised prescription. I mentioned that I was concerned the vendor will not provide a free replacement since they already did 3 times! The response I received was, don't worry they will, they do for a re-issued prescription. Well, No they don't, not after they did for re-issued 2 times already. My experience with Sawyer Eye Center of Weatherford couldn't be more frustrating & I am paying the price for it, Not Sawyer. I will not be going back ever & I do not recommend Sawyer Eye Center.

2 stars is a bit high…read more They are linked with the doctor Nextdoor, which is a complete mess and a HIPPA violation in the making every day. They should never schedule the appointments that close together with one provider one what seems to be very unhappy employee upfront probably because she's overworked and did on the job training. She's been with him for a few years. I'm gathering from her telling everyone her history and that he doesn't pay enough. She comes across very rude and not very welcoming or friendly, a place I don't think we will use again. The doctor makes up for a some of it for he is very pleasant. But he got my contacts wrong, I explained I can't see at all out of my left one and he and his 1 employee kept demanding I wear them for 7 days, really I can't see one bit out of the left eye, kinda doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But he really needs to invest in cleanliness and patient privacy, get rid of all that hoarding, so cluttered. Now for the Visionworks aspect - wow not a very good selection at all, she didn't even measure my frames to my face - thank god they fit, she is nice older woman but comes across a bit lonely, now this is a bit different than being friendly. Visionworks needs a better representation of their corporation here, dirty, cluttered clinics and not a very clean Visionworks side is pretty bad for a company.
