You know you're a club volleyball dad when you are rating facilities like this - or probably reading them for that matter. The facility is solid and I wish we had one in SB. Three long rows of courts are pretty well spaced, with two-row bleachers at each, plus a TV that should have had the score up but instead flashed advertisements for the concession stand. The concession stand was out of probably half their items by 11:30 and the wrap I had was mediocre, though the fries my daughter had were pretty good (real hard to do a bad job on fries). I've seen some pretty good concession stands at this point, so a bit disappointing, especially knowing the tourney would be this big and they are charging $20 for parking and $20 a head to enter. Grateful for spots like this and hoping they can do a better job with food next time.

Spending time for an adidas basketball tournament. Nice facility with great ambiance as far as decor and making the vibe feel special and well represented by the adidas basketball circuit #3stripesgold Nice air conditioning concession food area, parking offered for $20 but free parking across the street in market lot or down the ride if you can walk a bit. Does get a bit hot in there since they leave the entrance doors open.

Huge gym. Very clean and set up is very nice. My daughter played Volleyball with Pulse here and my son had Basketball games here.

If you want to check out some of the craziest and talented high school basketball teams, this place is for you! It has 9 courts and there are games on all of them at the same time! It's a bit of sensory overload of you're not used to it. Lots of buzzers and whistles. I'm not sure how the players keep track of it, but the do. You can pay cash or with card at the entrance. It's usually $8. There is also a snack bar which is good if there are back to back games for your team!

    No protection

First of all don't schedule a tournament the same day or atleast the same morning as Disneyland blocks off the neighboring roads and freeway exits that prevent access to your facility (fun run, 5k I don't know - but whatever it is it was definitely planned in advance!). Really?!? That helps no one by bringing in more traffic clogging up an already congested area. Irresponsible. Waze couldn't keep up, didn't recognize all of the closures, it was ridiculous. Secondly your netting is insufficient- I was hit in the back of the head hard by a ball from the court behind me. Your 'protective' netting falls far short. I consider that negligent. Of course there is risk attending sporting events but your facility did a shoddy job of hanging nets to protect spectators. I'm here now with hours left to go, I'm livid and my head hurts. UPDATE - my head still hurts almost 2 hours later so I spoke with the assistant general manager and visited the medical tent. I've been given ice, treated respectfully and I appreciate that. I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Cool gym. Gym parking lot is small, but for sports events like today's Volleyball tournament, they also use the parking lot that is right in front, I believe that's the inside swap meet's parking lot. $20 per car. There only a few metal benches inside by each court, but it is not enough (and they are a bit uncomfortable lol), it is high recommended to bring your own chairs. They offer a snack shop and a equipment shop.

    Fun game! Good friends!

LOVE this indoor basketball, volleyball and sports gym! It would be a great venue for tournaments! It is quite a large place ready for a fun time to play some hoops for sure! The fifth star was definitely for being spot clean and well organized too! Everything was in its right place. Shout-out to John the main guy! He was very accommodating to our friends. Too bad my two favorite guys didn't win as many games as they would have liked too. Ended the night with 2-2. Tough Asian crowd tonight!

This review has been long overdue, and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to write it…read more About a year ago, I decided I wanted my boys to start jiu-jitsu. As a mom, I believe it's so important for children to learn basic self-defense not because I expect something bad to happen, but because I want them to have the confidence and skills to protect themselves if they ever need to. At first, my boys were nervous and intimidated. We visited a few schools before making a decision, but from the moment we walked into Teragi, we knew this place was different. Everyone made us feel like family. The professors and coaches are exceptional not only because of their experience and skill, but because they genuinely care about every child. They encourage, support, and meet each child where they are. I especially want to mention my youngest. Jiu-jitsu didn't come naturally to him at first, and he struggled to understand the techniques. The professors and coaches were incredibly patient and never made him feel like he was behind. They allowed him to learn at his own pace, and now it's amazing to see how much his confidence and skills have grown. That patience meant so much to our family. There's no pressure for kids to be the best. Every child learns differently, and the professors and coaches truly understand that. Since we homeschool, Teragi has become more than just a place to train. My boys have made wonderful friendships, and we've found an incredible community. I also have to mention how clean the academy is! It never has that old gym smell and is always welcoming. I've watched both of my boys grow not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. They're more confident, disciplined, and respectful. If you're on the fence about jiu-jitsu because you don't like the idea of your child being on the ground, I completely understand. I felt the same way. But the reality is that many real-life self-defense situations end up on the ground, and knowing what to do can make all the difference. Thank you, Teragi, for creating such an incredible environment for our children. We are so grateful to be part of the Teragi family, and I couldn't recommend this academy more.

The owners, professors, and coaches have cultivated a superb gym culture. This gym is safe, friendly, and supportive. The facility is modern and clean, and they've invested in a foam block subfloor beneath the mats for softer landings. As far as I know, this is the only gym in the area that offers women-only classes four times per week and a bi-monthly community open mat for gentlemen 40 years and older. My kids train here after school 4-5 days a week, and they love it. The kids' professors and coaches are experienced and amazing teachers. I'm especially thankful for the young coaches who were so patient and kind to my boys when they were hesitant and shy after first starting. And my pocketbook is especially thankful for the discounted rates for additional family members. If you're looking for a place where the whole family can train, grow, and feel welcome, I can't recommend Teragi highly enough.

This is the email I had to write to Customer Service…read more Hi, I've had a very disappointing morning. I arrived around 8:10 in the morning at parking lot #25 as stated in the attached directions. I just downloaded the form last night. Both my kids were enrolled for camp for the next two weeks with 8 am early check in. There's no signs in the parking lot. We walk to Hoagland Hall and room 108 is completely empty and dark. I've attached the form that I've downloaded from the website and pictures of the empty and dark rooms. The first time I called the 1-888-909-2822 was at 8:21 am. I informed them of what was going on that I thought I was at the right place. The person on the phone stated she would call the director and get back to be within 5 minutes. At 8:30 am I did not hear back yet therefore I called. This person was able to tell me that I was at the wrong place. I should be at Wellman hall room 109 and the check in parking lot was lot 15. I don't know why the first phone person could not have told me that information. I walk with my kids to Wellman Hall. I do see 1 destination science camp sign. I don't see anybody. We arrive at room 109 and it is empty and dark. We walk around the building and there is nobody there at all. So at 8:42 am I called again. Whoever was on the phone said there should be people at both the old and new site now, which was obviously not the case as I was physically at the new site. At this point I could not wait any longer. Obviously I had paid for early 8 am check in for a reason. I'm running very late for my day. Whoever I spoke to on the phone did say I would get a full refund. As I'm heading out back to parking lot #25 where I parked, I see tons of parents with their kids there for destination science camp (as it is getting closer to 9 am now). It is very clear to me I was not the only one who got the wrong information. It's very unfortunate that this happened. I am still expecting FULL refunds for both children for both weeks. I'm only sending this email so you guys can figure what when wrong and try to fix it and ensure it doesn't happen again in the future. Between 8:10 am and 9:00 I was at UC Davis on campus and at this time I am still not sure why Destination Science camp staff members was not able to connect or find us. Nobody even tried to call me at any point.

Most of the teachers are actual teachers or have some type of teaching experience. Destination Science is spread out throughout Southern California, Northern California and Florida. Each camp has their own site director as well as a regional director to help coordinate efforts throughout the camps. Some camps may also have LITs, which stands for Leadership in Training. This is great for young teenagers who want to get ahead by helping out with a fantastic program. It looks great on college applications too. The camps are structured to be fun. You have the option to drop your child or children off for either half day (no lunch) and full day (lunch). There is also snack time for the kids as well. You start with songs, recognition awards for various activities and then the camp opens up the themes of the week. There are usually four revolving themes. Each theme consists of something different. The camp experience is a lot of fun for children as they get to take home a lot of awesome prizes and their projects at the end of the week. Destination Science is also a Green company and they are finding ways each year to reduce the amount of waste that might be generated from their products. They gave out reusable bags last year to the kids that were perfect for carrying home their projects as well as future use as a laundry hamper, carrying beach equipment, etc. I worked for Destination Science for three years. The lessons I learned from teaching here are valuable. You learn a lot about yourself and you learn how to adapt on the fly. Teachers should also be aware that not everything goes according to plan so you must be able to overcome those obstacles. If you would to become a teacher or site director, make sure you check their website. You also should have a working car (for the majority of people you will not be in the same site all of the weeks you signed up for). If you like working with kids, sign up with this company. Parents, if you're looking for a great summer program for your children, consider signing up with Destination Science. If you sign up with more than one child, there are discounts available.
