I cannot recommend more highly. They installed my Hunter Douglas blinds throughout my Condo 15 years ago, electrified them and repaired them when needed. Yesterday the blinds in my bedroom broke, I took them down (easy once you understand the system) drove them over to their maintenance shop. They were repaired and in my hand with an hour and back up and working half an hour later. That is REAL service. Staff charming and concerned and efficient. read more

Very good experience with open house interiors, firstly my mother actually saw the place and told me about them.. since I was about 20 min away I decided to take a look.. it was the end if their business day but they were willing to wait for me to come in and take a look. I found their products to be of good quality and at a very reasonable price so I places an order for verticles. Their installer was great.. very knowledgeable, and super professional.. he was in and had them installed in 30 to 40 minutes. I def refer them as I am happy with the work. read more

On 9/24/18, my wife and I were looking for some sliding glass door treatments, to give us more privacy. We stopped by Open House Interiors and we met Ralph Arias. He showed us the Hunter Douglas Luminette Privacy Sheers, which have fabric vanes, and rotate for privacy, while controlling the light in a room. It is a very nice and a unique concept. We would like to thank Ralph for selling us such a terrific product. The installers, Elias and Ramon, from their Hunter Douglas Gallery Service Center nearby, were terrific and our new Luminettes look amazing. We purchased a house with existing hunter douglas shades and motorization systems with remotes. I was having a heck of a time with one window, changed the batteries in the remote and the motor tube, no luck at all. I called numerous places and was given no help at all. When I called Open House John answered took the time and gave me very helpful suggestions. He was no nice and knowledgeable about the shades and motorization systems. Turns out I had a defective battery tube, when I stopped by the showroom, John worked his magic and got the tube to function. He spent a great deal of time both on the phone and in the store helping me and did not charge me anything. American Express reversed the unauthorized charge that Open House Interiors put through on our credit card. After sending American Express a copy of the contract and all of our correspondence with Open House Interiors, American Express resolved the issue in our favor. This has saved us from having to take Open House Interiors to court to recoup our money. To date Open House Interiors has yet to respond to any of our correspondence. I had the pleasure of working with both John and Juan at Open House Interiors. I had a problem with a Hunter Douglas shade that I purchased elsewhere 10 years prior. Basically, the inner surface of the large cellular shade had deteriorated as well as breaking of the tapes inside the shade. The shade was inoperable and the tapes could not be replaced. John examined the shade, confirmed that it was not repairable, and used his connections with Hunter Douglas to have the expensive shade replaced and shipped at a nominal fee. I was very happy with the fast, excellent, professional and polite service that I received from both John and Juan. I called Hunter Douglas as one of our blinds separated by itself. They said to call Open House Interiors, bring it in for them to send back to Hunter Douglas as a warranty repair. John from Open House Interiors said this was an incorrect process so I got Hunter Douglas on the phone with him. Long and short, John disagreed with HD, abruptly said by and hung up. Kathy at HD, my wife and I were stunned by the abrupt rudeness. I will not entertain using them for any work I may have in the future. read more

In response to John, the owner's review. It is interesting he mentioned I am not a legal customer of his since the the intial $250 was paid on my Visa card under my name by my executive assistant, Tawanna. The shade was delayed and then also was the wrong measurement and thus, useless to us. Why would we want a improperly measured shade installed since the whole purpose of the installation was blackout shades to black out light. The fact is he kept my money, my deposit without delivering the product he promised nor in the time frame delivered. He does keep offering us a refund or the drapes but then does not do anything about it. I tried to resolve amicably having Tawanna call instead of me and when that went nowhere I reported him to the BBB who disagrees with him that I am not a "legal customer." There is nothing unethical about me relaying my experience with a poorly operated business. It's interesting that after I posted this review a bunch of other reviews of five stars were posted by people who didn't have very many reviews. They could be real reviews or they could be fake or friends of the company. Either way do your own research before using any company. Someone who has several reviews of all a types of stars obviously has broader credibility than someone with only one or two. read more

We were directed to Open by a major company when we had a problem with a product under warranty. After reading Laur's review we were worried. We found dealing with Open's staff very different from their comments. The individuals we dealt with were without exception "Praiseworthy professionals who said what was doable and what was not Diablo. Their service was in all ways outstanding and indeed worthy of praise. Obviously Hunter Douglass had done due diligence before selecting Open as their warranty service provider. Our experience with the purchase of Skyline Hunter Douglas blinds from Open House Interiors was less than ideal. We had an old one-piece track system for our 12 foot slider that we were looking to replace. Ralph, the representative from the showroom came to our home to take measurements and verified over the phone that a one-piece track system would be available in the size that we needed. We overheard him explain on the phone that he was "looking at a one piece track now" as he was talking to I assume someone from the showroom. When the order was delivered, however, the track came in two pieces not one piece as we were led to believe. When the first installation was attempted the installer had great difficulty managing it on his own. He was obviously very frustrated as this should have been a two man job so I stepped in and told him that this didn't need to be done today if he couldn't do it himself as I wanted it done right. He continued his attempt to install it and the track broke. The second installers came with a new track after several weeks and installed the blinds. When I arrived home I noticed the chain that connected the blinds was dangling from the track, the blinds wouldn't open all the way and the pieces of the track did not line up. At this point we went to the Open House Interiors and spoke to Ralph who directed us to John the owner who insisted that he wanted us to be happy and would make it right. The third installers came with a new track after several weeks and installed the blinds, but this time the blinds were installed with a gap of about 1 inch from the track to the ceiling on each side with wood shims visible. In addition one of the brackets was attached to the ceiling but was not attached to the track. My now I was very annoyed. I expected that the track may not be completely flush with the ceiling however I couldn't believe that a bracket was not attached to the track. In addition the gap between the track and the ceiling was far greater than I ever could have imagined. They agreed to come back and make sure the bracket was attached to the track but I was told that since our ceilings were "wonky" there was nothing else that they could do to rectify the issue with the gaps on each side. When I spoke to John he suggested that we have a contractor add a skim coat. There is no way that a skim coat would fill a one-inch gap. Then he says we should have our contractor fix the ceiling. It's obviously too late at this point to add drywall to the ceiling since the blinds are already custom measured and wont fit if we make any changes. John doesn't provide any other options to make this look better. A valance maybe? Some type of facing for the track perhaps? Nothing..... So now I need to hire a contractor to build something around the track to cover this whole mess. While I certainly do not hold Open House Interiors responsible for the fact that my ceilings are "wonky" I do hold them responsible for not delivering the product in one piece as we were led to believe or telling me that I need to level my ceiling prior to ordering this product. In my view the ceiling looked perfectly level however Open House Interiors deals with construction issues everyday and should have the knowledge and expertise to guide their customers through an appropriate installation. In retrospect I should have asked more questions and insisted that what we agreed to would be in writing. We had a contract of course but I should have stated that the track be in one piece as we agreed to. In addition, Open House Interiors could have handled their attempts at installation in a more professional manner. One attempt after another with nothing but problems. We paid over 2,000 for there blinds and I would expect a professional installation and quality product. Neither was delivered and we won't be using them again. read more
