I would have gave 5 stars expect for that, it would have been nice to know they were staying upstairs and that they do not have the same rules that applied to us. You can hear through the floor pretty well....they also had a dog and you know how that goes... bark! bark! bark! Every time you go outside on to the deck. The staff is nice and courteous and you can check out movies from there front desk. They run a good business and i would use them again. I would make sure to stay at a house with no upstairs. And check the coffee maker first to make sure the coffee pot is the correct size. LOL.

I understand that rental properties are not hotels, things occasionally break, and photos are naturally going to present a property in its best light. But there is a significant difference between that and what we experienced here. First, the photos were almost laughable compared with the actual condition of the property. This was not a matter of flattering angles or professional photography--the reality simply did not live up to what was represented. Multiple advertised amenities were broken or unusable, and Meredith Properties showed remarkably little interest in actually fixing anything. The house had bugs and spiders throughout it, with cobwebs in multiple areas, and the overall level of upkeep was nowhere near what I would expect from a professionally managed vacation rental. The problems continued inside the house. There weren't even enough plates and glasses for the number of guests the property was supposed to accommodate. I actually CUT MY LIP on a broken glass provided in the home. The so-called essentials felt like someone had gone out and purchased an assortment of random, inexpensive items simply so they could technically say the house was stocked, rather than thoughtfully equipping a property for paying guests. But the condition of the house was only half the problem. What made this experience truly unacceptable was the response from Meredith Properties. When we raised legitimate concerns, there was seemingly no urgency or genuine desire to make things right. At one point I realized I was apparently communicating with an AI chatbot rather than even receiving the courtesy of speaking with a person about the problems we were experiencing. For a company entrusted with people's vacations--and charging real money for these properties--that level of customer service is astonishing. The overall message we received was essentially: **we have your money, these are your problems now.** And prospective guests should pay attention to something else: **read the other reviews.** I am clearly not the only guest who has had serious concerns. I wish I had given those reviews considerably more weight before booking. Again, I travel frequently and rent vacation properties all the time. I know the difference between a minor inconvenience and a genuinely bad rental experience. I also know that problems can happen at ANY property. What separates a good management company from a bad one is how they respond when those problems occur. Meredith Properties had multiple opportunities to show us that they cared about their guests and to make this experience right. In my experience, they chose not to. My advice to anyone considering one of their properties is simple: **look very carefully at the reviews, do not assume the photographs accurately represent what you will find when you arrive, and think twice before trusting Meredith Properties with your vacation.** I certainly will not make that mistake again.

Shoutout to Daniel who was a fabulous adventure guide and so nice! We also enjoyed happy hour at the Meridian bar. Delicious small bites and cocktails, also want to call out Zak who made great drinks and provided us with nice conversation a few nights in a row. I stayed here to attend a close friend's wedding, but instead of celebrating, I was forcibly removed from the hotel while trying to travel with my medical service animal. During the eviction incident, staff members filmed me on their personal devices while aggressively claiming my dog did not 'look like a service dog.' For context, I live with a severe, invisible cardiac condition (SVT) that causes dangerous heart rate spikes. My dog was trained to track my physical distress to ensure my safety. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals do not require a specific breed or a mandatory vest. Management went so far as to hunt down my personal social media. They found a lighthearted, sarcastic inside joke I had posted for friends pretending to sneak my late mother's puppies into another while she was battling colon cancer, and tried to weaponize it as evidence of a 'history' to retroactively justify their real-time discrimination against a disabled guest. Being recorded in a moment of medical vulnerability, forced out during a wedding weekend, and ultimately cyberstalked by hotel management was way too far. It was absolutely devastating. I am sharing this so that other individuals traveling with service animals or invisible illnesses are aware of how this establishment treats its guests.
