I really liked the way it drives and it has the cargo space my family needs. I reached out to Michael about possibly trading in our CT6 for the XT6 and he quickly sent me numbers the same day. He was able to get me a great deal. I couldn't be happier. I did everything online, Michael knows we have a 4 year old, and he had everything ready for when we arrived. I purchased the vehicle on 03/21/26 from Open Road Cadillac of Morristown. At the time of purchase, the salesperson, Rodrigo, informed me and showed me documentation stating that the total financed cost of the vehicle, including taxes and all additional fees, would be $42,000. However, in May, I received a bank statement showing the total financed cost as approximately $49,000, including taxes and fees. This represents an unexpected increase of about $7,000 that was never disclosed or discussed during the purchase process. I clearly explained to Rodrigo the budget I had and specifically stated that I did not want the total cost to exceed $42,000. He assured me not to worry and confirmed both verbally and through the documentation shown to me that the final total would remain at $42,000. Since receiving the statement, I have made several attempts to contact Open Road Cadillac of Morristown to resolve this issue and correct these discrepancies. Unfortunately, my phone calls and messages have been ignored, and I have not received any response. I believe dealerships are obligated to clearly and honestly disclose all costs at the time of sale. Increasing the total amount after the purchase without proper disclosure is misleading and appears deceptive and fraudulent toward customers. read more

purchased a 2018 Chevy Tahoe on 6/30/25 in NJ. I received my PA plates on 7/18/25. In PA you only 10 days from the date on the registration to get your inspection sticker. They vehicle failed on 7/26/25 due to motor mount on driver side had excessive play. Other issues of concern were the rear shocks leaking and rear differential pinion seal leaking. Per the document that was signed it states dealership performs a limited inspection on all used vehicles it sells in order to ensure that they are in safe operating condition. The motor mounts is a safety issues. This is unacceptable that they are selling car that can't pass inspection. When I spoke with the salesman he stated NJ inspection requirements are different from PA. I believe this needed to be reported to warn other buyers read more

Deeply Disappointed - No Support After Leasing a Cadillac Lyriq I leased a Cadillac Lyriq from Open Road Cadillac, and what should have been a premium, high-end experience has turned into a nightmare due to the complete lack of communication and follow-up--especially from my sales representative, Jelen. Right from the beginning, I noticed a chipped paint issue on the vehicle, which I reported immediately. Despite multiple follow-ups with Jelen, no one has contacted me to schedule a repair or even acknowledge the problem. Worse, the vehicle has shown technical issues, including: * Adaptive Cruise Control not functioning * A high-voltage system failure warning alarm I shared screenshots and a video of these concerns with Jelen directly--again, with no response, no acknowledgment, and no action. I've also asked repeatedly about GAP insurance details related to the lease and have been completely ignored. All of my attempts to get basic answers or updates have gone nowhere. I'm constantly following up, and it feels like my concerns are either being brushed aside or simply forgotten. The level of apathy is shocking for a brand like Cadillac, and particularly disappointing coming from someone who was directly involved in the sale. Jelen has made no effort to support me post-sale, and it's clear that once the lease was signed, I was no longer a priority. This experience has made me seriously question the integrity of Open Road Cadillac and their commitment to customer service. First time for everything including a bad review! Michael Napulli came highly recommended through a excellent source. I called that source and she was shocked to say the least and very apologetic. Unfortunately, Michael was playing the game like most other ppl in the business. Been texting/corresponding for over 2 wks now. I give my deposit of $4k on this demo. Beforehand, I was told although, it was a demo car it was in mint,brand new condition w/ 6k miles on it. Although, skeptical i decided to take a chance on it. On 5/22, I drove 60 miles to pick up the car, do a walk around, realized it was in beat up condition. 2 rims damaged,2 tires damaged, scuff and scratch marks on different areas of the car. Apparently this seems to be the only dealership to my knowledge that doesn't review/check the condition of a car upon arrival before customer purchases. Michael and manager tell me didn't know about this...embarrassed rightfully so, tell me let's see how we can make this up to you, make it better..I wait around sales manager finds me a CT4 in PA (as they have 19 dealerships) , supposedly this time a brand new car, Midnight Sky color, zero mileage which will supposedly be delivered to my doorstep. I was even given the paper showing me all pricing and car specs info. They thanked me for my willingness to give them a 2nd opportunity to do business w/ them. However, next day today, 5/23 I receive a call from Michael telling me that his GM said my Blue car was sold, therefore, I'd have to pick from a Black, Silver or Grey. How much more BS can they tell me? I was done and said give me back my $4,000 deposit . I gave a deposit which means the car was mine.. SHAME SHAME SHAME on this dealership! Disappointing Experience with Delayed Registration and Number Plates I purchased a vehicle from Open Road Cadillac Morristown on May 18, 2024, and unfortunately, my experience with their registration and documentation process has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.It has been over two months since my purchase, and I am still waiting for my number plates to be issued. Despite numerous reminders and follow-ups with the agency, the issuance of the number plates has been delayed indefinitely, leaving me unable to fully enjoy and operate my vehicle legally. Furthermore, the temporary registration renewal process at is plagued with inefficiencies and delays. Each time I have had to renew the temporary registration, I have to remind them well in advance. Despite reminding them a week before the expiry date, the renewal is not processed in a timely manner. The lack of communication and responsiveness from the customer service team is appalling. Most of my calls go unanswered, and I am left in the dark about the status of my registration, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience.Overall, my experience with Open Road Cadillac has been marred by delays, poor communication, and a lack of urgency in addressing customer concerns. My lease was ending in a couple of weeks so went to OpenRoad knowing the car I wanted. They offered to buy the car currently leasing and said new car would be in next week. The car is not in and probably won't be in for several more weeks and now our lease is up. Rather than purchase the car they said we have to turn it in because our car isn't ready yet, so now we will have to extend lease or pay penalties. I honestly believe they knew the car was not coming in for several weeks but wanted to make the sale for branch incentives. No one called us to tell us car wasn't coming in, that we should have returned our leased car because they aren't ready to do the transaction and it will cost us. If we could give this dealership a -0 we would. I have been in business for over 30 years in the state of RI and never dealt with such a crooked company as bad as Open Road Cadillac. I purchased an SUV from them in August 2022. I also purchased a Volvo from Open Road Volvo on the same day. It's November 4th today. We paid for the registrations, the title fees, and the taxes for both. They would not give us the deal if we did not pay for this upfront. As of today, 10 weeks later, Our vehicles are NOT registered yet. BTW... The Temporary plate expired a long time ago and you can not get another in the State of New Jersey. They have all the paperwork that is needed. We had an out of state vin check done which cost us money. We overnighted $$ the forms to them. That state inspection only lasts 30 days. Plus the state of RI has Fines and Penalties if you do not register a vehicle before 30 days. I keep hearing the same thing from their Managers, Sales People and DMV Agent. It's out of their hands. Yet in the past 2 months I had to send more notarized paperwork to them because they forgot to have us sign when we were there in New Jersey. They keep passing the buck and every time I call I have to explain everything to a different person. My next step is the Attorney General and the MV Commissioner. Then the Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs and if need be get a lawyer and file suit against their Surety Bond. Local News sounds good too. Those 1 star reviews are serious. All went well and it seemed that we made a decent deal and drove to the sunset . 3 years pass and we put the suv that we bought from #openRoadCadillac on the market to sell it. Unfortunately, when we found a potential buyer it came to our attention that the carfax for the suv had an issue with the odometer Leading us back to the time of the purchase . Apparently, those guys at Open Road Cadillac had rolled back the mileage to sell the car and hide the fact on the bottom of the report. Unfortunately as a naive consumer, at the time of the purchase I took their word about the car and didn't really dig into the report ( my mistake ) . However, when I noticed that issue on the report I called them up asking for an explanation and for them to fix the report that they have reported and twisted. My calls weren't answered . All I received was a run around and no response . Eventually, I was able to get transferred to the sales manager by the name of; CHRISTOPHER TRACY. He assured me that it will be handled and he will call me back as soon as it does . Unfortunately, time passed by I lost my buyer off course and Mr Tracy never called . Mind you, that with that kind of note on the car fax, the car can only be sold to an auction for $5,000 less then it's value . When I tried calling Mr Tracy back all I received is the same run around and vague answers . Purchased a 2021 Escalde Sport and could not be more disappointed with this dealership. They delivered the vehicle having had paint work on the passengerside quarter panel with no disclosure as well as the rear tailgate scratched beyond belief. It looks as though the emblems had been hacked off with a screw driver....I sent photos to my salesman and requested new emblems. I was not requesting compensation for the damages and was told they will not provide new emblems but I can call there parts dept and order them. Thats a really nice way to treat a customer that just spent 120k with you over some $80 dollar emblems. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this dealership. read more

I was charged $800 to replace a battery and then was told I needed new brake pads ($2500) and a repair of the rear differential ($5,000) since they claimed it was leaking. I declined to have any more work done and took the car to a local repair shop that I trusted. They repaired the front brakes for $500 and said that the rear brakes were down about 60% and should be replace in 2 - 3 months. They also told me that the rear differential was not leaking. Open Road Cadillac is a solid dealership. It was a more personal and "informal" dealership back when they were Royal Cadillac, which was your old-school family owned place where you could, in friendly fashion, haggle with the owner himself. When the owner sold the place, at least it went to Open Road which, as big highway dealership groups go, runs a pretty tight shop. I've bought multiple BMW products from Open Road and the experience is largely the same at this dealership: go in with a reasonable expectation and you'll get a reasonable deal, but you're not going to have much fun in working out a deal, it's not that kind of place anymore. The service department is efficient, with very good communication and does address concerns seriously and effectively. Loaners are available as long as you schedule a day or so ahead, the facilities are modern, upscale and comfortable (exactly what you'd expect at a modern luxury car dealership). In general, Open Road has improved the service department from the Royal days (again, more impersonal, but much faster with clearer communication). For those used to service and shopping at German and Japanese luxury brand dealerships, you'll find this dealership is very much in-line with that experience - which fits Cadillac's current market positioning. When I buy my next Cadillac, it'll be from this Open Road dealership, even if I do miss the hokey by-gone days of its predecessor (though I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority of luxury car buyers in this sentiment). read more

I wish I had read the other negative reviews before I bought a car from these guys. They didn't mention that the CPO warranty included a deductible of $100 until after I had owned the car. When I was buying the car all they said was when you have a problem just bring it in and we fix it per the warranty. Between the decutible and what isn't covered by the warranty CPO which they sell as bumer to bumper coverage is basically a power train warranty." read more

The worst service department ever! Can't wait to get the survey so I can score them appropriately based on the (lack of) service we received. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone or to get your call returned. When you go to the dealership there is no signage to show you where to go for service. They forget to mention a ridiculous $16 shop fee that they charge. And the mechanics are subpar and could not diagnose a very obvious issue. I've owned over 10 Cadillacs and Saabs since 2000 and never was treated so poorly at a dealership. The management should take a very close look at the way customers are treated. Not cool Danny, Miguel, and the lady who answers the phone and puts you on perpetual hold. Very disappointed! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Worst experience of my life. Drove 3 hours to pick up a 2014 Cadillac CTS4 luxury that they repeatedly told me was in good condition and "ready to go". That wasn't the case at all. When on a test drive I heard banging and it felt kinda rough, car was pulling all over the road. I told them the car definitely needs an alignment and to find what's making that banging sound. They told me it's just "New Jersey roads and everything is fine" I gave the benefit of the doubt considering the roads actually do suck there LOL. I couldn't get the car that day but returned 3 days later to purchase the car and take it home. I asked about the alignment and noise and they said they weren't told about that and that they would do it quick. I was stuck there for hours waiting on it to be done. And they made it even worse, but they told me it was all fixed. My rear wheels were so cambered that it destroyed brand new tires in less than 2,000 miles. I tried to get it aligned properly and was shown that my control arms were completely bent which was causing all the wear on the tires (quoted at $3300). On top of that, all four struts were blown, which I didn't find out until I got home($650 a piece), the sunroof got stuck open the day I got it, (that cost $2500), the check engine light came on 2 days after I had it for multiple evap leaks, all of the evap lines needed replaced and they only paid for 1($60-100). My brake lines burst within the first week and leaked all the fluid out causing the car to pulse( I can't even remember how much that cost) every gasket needed replaced in the engine and the rear dif (around $200 total), 2 wheels were cracked and one was bent, oil leaking from the back of the engine, it needed new hubs($1200). There were a few other things that just became too much so I had to trade it in for something else. I understand used cars have the possibility of coming with some problems, but a "luxury" Cadillac from a Cadillac dealership should not be such a headache. They knew that car was a mess and still sold it because they're shady. read more

I have an Escalade that i lease, the car started smoking so roadside assistance picked it up and took it there. They said they would get me a loaner car. Then when it came around to it, they were running low on loaner cars, people haven't brought it back, maybe can get one today maybe not. Finally got one. When i got in it, it wasn't cleaned from the previous driver. Then comes the issues with repairs. Pushing us to get other things done, no thanks you can make suggestions and save the attitude. I needed my car by 2pm today because i need to be back to pick my kids up from school and on a 6am flight tomorrow. I said if i can't get it by then I'll come swap when i get back. I physically am not here what else can i do. I got a nasty threat. Well we need the loaner back once the car is done or your getting charged for it. I said i have no problem doing that. But you close at 5 i need to pick my kids up from school and have no way of making it back from Staten island in time. So i need it by early this afternoon or you can come swap it it'll be in my driveway I'm not going on a joy ride. Just overall disgusting customer service. Avoid it you can't. Clearly a pattern here. So disappointed in my experience at this dealership. One would expect exceptional experiences when buying a luxury vehicle. I purchased a "Certified PreOwned" XT6 shortly after thanksgiving of 2021. When i took delivery the alignment was so far out of wack that i needed to return and wait 3 hours for them to fix it. They also never checked to see that the navigation chip was missing and had to wait 2 weeks for that to get reordered. After the alignment was fixed it was apparent that the whole front brake system was off which was apparent when you attempted to stop the car and it jerked to the left. On top of all that they promised me all weather mats when i purchased the car and I'm still waiting for them. They told the car was bought from them and then turned in because the owner wanted a bigger car. That was a lie, the car was from Michigan and who knows how it ended up in NJ. Then i noticed the car never even had an oil change before it was delivered to me, so that is the "Cerified Pre-owned" Caddy experience? Sad part is i loved the car and it was beautiful. However after all the lies and dishonest actions on behalf of Open Road Cadillac i decided to trade the car in after 3 weeks and buy a brand new car. Lucky this crazy market for used cars worked in my favor and i was able to walk away. NEVER GO TO OPEN ROAD CADILLAC ! I can't imagine any of there dealerships are any better but i cant speak to those. May 23, 2022 Most bizarre car dealership experience I have ever had. Made an appointment to see a used 2013 GMC Terrain that was on their lot. Both the receptionist (Kristie) and the manager (Alex) called me to confirm the appointment. Kristie had asked if I would like to leave a deposit over the phone, I politely declined. She then informed me if the car gets sold before I get there for my appointment she would call or email me as to not waste anyone's time. I appreciated that. Got to the showroom and was introduced to Steve the salesman, who was pleasant enough. He proceeded to go get the vehicle and both my husband and I each took it for a test drive. It was a solid car, and the Carfax was more impressive on scheduled maintenance than any other I have seen. After the ride we all sit down at Steve's desk, and he proceeds to ask us follow up questions. He wanted to know how we would be paying, if we would finance, how much we would be putting down etc. After chatting for a bit Steve politely excuses himself to go see his manager with his notes. He returns and this is where the whole evening turns into the Twilight Zone. He tells us the car is going out to "wholesale" tomorrow and it will be auctioned off. We are interested in the vehicle so proceed to ask questions of which Steve did not have many answers. He said it needs too much work and they were not selling it, oddly enough before we took the test drive, he kept telling us more than once that it was not cleaned or looked at yet because they just received it in. We could not even discuss our offer of asking price or above as he had no intention of selling to us. We were thoroughly confused and felt much of our time was wasted. If they had no intention of selling the vehicle, why not call me before the appointment and cancel. It is mind boggling. Steve said the car will be off their website tomorrow and no longer listed. Well, it is almost 24 hours later, and it is still listed on their site and other car selling sites! After leaving the dealership I could not stop reliving the whole appointment through my head trying to make some sort of sense out it. I decided to text the manager Alex who I had spoken with earlier and let him know how my appointment went. He called me right back but did not offer much of an explanation. He honestly had none and did not know what was going on with the car. He said he would find out, but I am not expecting any kind of explanation at this point. My husband and I inquired about a used Escalade ESV online as we needed a bigger car for our growing family & two large dogs. Matt reached out to us in a timely manner and set up an appointment for us to see the vehicle. We came to open road from 40 mins away just to see this vehicle and it did not disappoint. it did have a few scratches and a small dent but we were told all of that would be taken care of a week later when the body repair person was in the service center. We decided to purchase the vehicle after some negotiations ...and to our surprise they actually honored everything they said they would. Many dealerships do not honor their promises after a deal is done and the car is off their lot. Matt arranged for a loaner to be dropped off at our house and our car was picked up and fixed in two days. We are very happy with our purchase and with Matt as our salesman! Alex the manager was also fantastic to work with. He made sure to deliver on everything he stated when we purchased the vehicle. Mike Wadhwa, Stay away from this "Used care Sales Manager" of Open Road Cadillac . He is unprofessional, rude and can not be trusted on any of his statements. His immediate aides are also being trained like him. Always keep your eyes open and get everything in writing. The most shocking for me was that I was given total empty tank of gasoline on my way back home after getting the keys to my car. This dealership sold me a lemon of a car. They tried to double the taxes on the car in addition to this at the closing, instead of wanting to charge 7%, they wanted to charge 15%. They promised me a warranty of 30 days. When the car broke down a mere 2 days after purchasing, they said that the warranty didn't exist. The sales guy was Manny, and the manager was Oscar. Don't go here. When we purchase cars, we should be able to trust the dealership and this establishment is incredibly un-trustworthy and doesn't follow through with their words!!!! BEWARE! read more

Avoid at all costs! Unethical practices by managers and staff! After days of negotiations we placed a deposit down on a vehicle, watched as the "sold" paper was placed on the dash, only to come back the next morning to find they had "sold" the car night before. Total bait and switch practices. We were immediately offered a "better deal" on a totally different vehicle - why they thought we would do business after losing out on our deposited vehicle is beyond us. There was no remorse and no push to make it right. This dealer is as shady as they come and give car salesmen their bad reputation. Our salesman, Mike, should be nominated for an Academy Award after his fake denial of being as "blindsided" as we were. Never do business here! We should have read the other 1 star reviews before we even stepped on to the property, seems like others have had similar experiences! Bought a CPO car from them in January and it did not have a safety option which was advertised (but cannot be easily tested without a simulated collision). I even commented to the salesman on how important that particular option was to me before my test drive. Found out a few weeks later it did not have the option as promised. Bait and switch is bad enough but on a mechanical safety option is a potentially life-threatening deception. They were unwilling to work with me to rectify the situation. To be fair, I do find their service department very courteous and helpful. But I will never buy another car from this dealer again. read more
