Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad
Melanie J.

Service - 10/10 our waitress was on it! She was attentive despite the bustle. Food - I ordered the fajitas and I personally thought it was just standard fajitas, the price was a bit steep for what I got but overall decent. My friends got the brick chicken with mashed potato's and it was delicious from what she said! Another friend got the blacked chicken Cesar salad that looked really good and my other friend got fish tacos he said they were pretty standard, but could have used a sauce to add some kick. The location itself is ample and has two bars I think. A lot of TV screens with multiple sports so it was bumpin in there! I would give this place another chance and saw another table order dessert that looked promising!

Fun place with great food to meet up with friends for lunch on a hot Saturday in the summer. Great drink selection -- we shared a pitcher of mimosas and had some of the excellent local beers on tap. Lots of seating on the fully covered patio with fans running to keep it cool. Quite a few parties around us had young children, so seems like kids and families are welcome. Waitress was friendly, patient and helpful. I'll definitely come back!

Open Road Grill is amazing. My father went here to meet a friend and highly recommended it. I was out in the area and decided to try it out myself with a friend living out in Fals Church. I had very yummy fish tacos and a beer that was on sale for happy hour which I enjoyed as well. The ambiance is nice and service is fast, friendly, and efficient.

Ambiance: large open plan restaurant with a bar area towards the left side. That is also where they have Trivia on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm. Service: the manager came over make sure we were ok throughout the night. Our waitress was awesome. Very attentive and sweet. Food: we came for HAPPY HOUR and TRIVIA. It was National Oysters Day so a few of us ordered raw oysters and Fried oyster Po Boy. We all seemed to love the chicken bites. I had the Buffalo Garlic sauce which was spicy but super flavorful. Tuesday Trivia night was a full house so plan accordingly for parking. They do have an overflow lot for parking across from the Sunoco gas station on the corner before you get to the restaurant.

I didn't realize they were a conglomerate of other restaurants. Because I had ordered online, I didn't use the traditional entrance. This little strip of restaurants are all part of the same group. Open Road, Trio Grill, and Roadhouse. The parking lot was packed! They even had a tenant trying to help guide cars to available spots. There aren't a lot of spots to split between 3 restaurants, for 6PM on a Saturday, it was pretty crowed. Luckily if you are picking up there are roughly 2 reserved spots for pick up orders. I got the Open Road burger and it was quite delicious. They ask how you want your burger cooked and the way it came made it almost look like an onion volcano. Little peek into the burger. The taste was quite good, pretty standard and well cooked. It also came with a side of fries. One thing with the takeout though was that there weren't many ketchup packets included. I took a peek at their daily specials and happy hour menu and I understand why it can get crowded. I was definitely eyeing the $1 oyster Tuesdays or Fajitas Fridays.

Wow. What a great experience. The server was super attentive and well versed on the menu. Place was spacious and had a nicely sized bar and booth options. The food, AMAZING. Ordered Brussels sprouts as a starter, delicious. The bleu cheese and bacon was the perfect addition. The wings, phenomenal! Some of the best wings I've had in quite some time. Ordered their spicy wings, which weren't that spicy but they were very tasty and had a good kick. Also ordered their lemon pepper nuggets, which were tasty as well. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu.

First time here, in town visiting family. My BIL said we had to come eat here. He said everything was good. Of course I trust him because he's and his husband are foodies like us. We walked in and had reservations and were seated right away. It was a very nice place, lots of screens, lots of good vibes jury was a bit loud so unfortunately I didn't catch our waitress name. Very nice young lady. I'm pretty sure her name started with an A but it just was too loud to hear her since she was soft spoken. Still a nice young lady. We ordered drinks...I ordered the OR crush and my family ordered the black manhattan. Two ordered the brick chicken, one ordered the chicken sandwich and I ordered the blackened Cesar salad...all the meals were absolutely delicious. Had to try the fries off my BILs plate and they were so good. Tried the mashed potatoes from my BFs dish and they were amazing. We had a nice time and enjoyed watching the game on the screen. Definitely would like to come back next time we are in town. Note: I only got a picture of my dinner. I can promise though the other entrees were great portions and presentation was very nice.

$1 Oyster Night!

I've tried this place on a Tuesday night and it happened to be oyster night so we got a dozen oysters. Overall really solid for $1 oysters. Additionally, we got a philly cheesesteak and their original cheeseburger and it was all really good. I like how they have a million TVs so you can watch whatever sport you're interested in. I can imagine they have a lot of guests on the weekends during the prime time games. Overall, nice clean spot with a big menu offering!

My friends and I came for both HH and trivia! Open Road does trivia every Tuesday night so need to get there early for not only good seating but also for parking as the parking lot is small! Food and service were great! We sat on the outdoor patio! We ordered chili cheese fries and chicken bites. During trivia they also have $3 beers!

I love the open road location in Rosslyn! I came here for an event which had the patio/private space booked. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was decent and I felt it was fairly priced. Wow I love their fries!!! Kudos to the staff that night who was were all friendly and helpful throughout the night despite the crowds of the private event!

When is their $1 oyster day?

Our $1 Oyster Day is every Tuesday!

Hi! Are (very well behaved) dogs allowed in the patio area?

We've been here twice and I've never seen dogs there. I'm not sure of their policy but, in my opinion, the setup isn't conducive to pets. While they do have seating outdoors, it's a covered area which makes it a little more intimate feeling. Not…

What are the brunch hours?

Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am-3pm

Service was consistently good and we were able to figure out what we wanted. Definitely recommend ordering the dinner rolls for the table! so yummy! like donuts! The sandwich and shoe string fries were tasty. I was very pleased with my salad with hand breaded fried chicken! You can absolutely taste the difference! Would come back to try more of the menu. PS They sell beer to go!

First let me say Everytime we come into town I want to eat here for the Ozzie rolls (I love them,…read morethe best). I got salmon, which was good just make sure you like a smoky taste as it has one. My husband got ribs and he said they were good too. The waitress was on point and kept checking on us refilling our drinks. It wasn't over crowded for 4th of July and I do think it is decorated beautifully. Now, couple things that are weird. I asked for to go cup for my full glass of lemonade so it wasn't wasted and we were informed they have no to go cups. However, they do to go orders, but no drinks... that's weird. 2nd, they advertise that you can get 4 of their house made beers to take home, here is the catch you can't mix match them to get different ones. We wanted to get 4 different ones to bring back to NC for a friend and could only get 4 of the same kind. Which we did, but no where does it say you can't mix match them. We were told their POS systems isn't set up to be able to do this. I do love their food, but come on get to go cups.

It's a nice atmosphere, not too stuffy but elegant enough for a nice dinner. The drinks are good, well mixed, and nice options whether you drink wine, beer, cocktails, or non-alcoholic options. The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. I got the grilled prawns which were limp and mushy. The veggies were underseasoned. The braised beef was small. I think everyone was underwhelmed with the main course. It's fine as a after work dinner spot but if you care about food, there are better options nearby.

Level G2East. Take the elevators up to 1, cross the plaza directly across from you (towards the metro) and the hotel entrance (not the residences) is under the awning on your left. Pro tip - restaurant is cashless, so have your card handy. There wasn't a bar tender available until 11, so unfortunately we didn't get any mimosas (which we were planning on for our bubbly brunch!). The scones (at $10) were delicious, particularly the lemon curd. I just wish you got more than 2 for that price. Several of us ordered the eggs Benedict. Eggs were perfectly poached and the bakery style English muffin was perfect. I found the Virginia ham overwhelmingly salty, but the salad was a nice compliment. The waiter was awesome and so nice. Staff wrote my friend a congrats card, as we were celebrating the soon-to-be birth of her baby.

We started with the scallops and then had the gnocchi and pesto pasta. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you could really tell that it was house-made. As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.
