Do you know that feeling? The feeling any RV owner experiences when something electrical goes wrong in your RV? Especially if you happen to be in the middle of NoWheresville, NV at the time. Well, about a month ago we experienced such a feeling! Our brand new, like less then a year old, new) RV had a loss of power issue. Ugh! The frustration of having an issue only an electrician can fix! So I half heartily searched for RV electrical repair, fully expecting no search result. When low and behold this little gem Open Roads RV Repair popped up! And I tell ya what, I've never been more happy, excited, or relieved then I was after speaking with Angela! She told me she would give it her best effort to get my RV's issue resolved before the soonest available appointment in three days. And I'll be darned if she wasn't able to get John (the repair man) out to me that very same day!!! So John shows up, humming and singing a tune. Nice! This guy even brought replacement parts with him!! Unbelievable? I know!! He encouraged observation. He answered all my questions. He went above and beyond the call of duty (service request issue) by identifying some other issues and fixing them while he was here as well!!! Some others probably would have milked my bank account ! But no ! Not Open Roads !! He was very helpful and patient and knowledgeable!! Yay! I can add to the chorus of positive reviews. They are wonderful! Great communication and amazing service. Our toy hauler sprung a roof leak while staying at Wild Horse SRA an hour north of Elko. Angela returned my call quickly and got us set up with an appointment even being so far out of town. John fixed that in no time as well as touched up an area he noticed was about to fail. He also gave us tips on how to manage it and told us some things to keep an eye on. I love that he sings his way through the job. It was very charming. They were a delight to work with. read more

We were on a road trip from Ely NV to Post Falls ID and needed some repairs. We parked in a parking lot and John made special arrangements to meet us there. We got the repairs we needed, but we needed more. He repaired the problem and gave me a very reasonable bill for his services. We made arrangements to meet again on our way back from Post Falls. We told him we would be back in a week. Again, John was on time, worked out some difficult wiring issues, and got everything fixed, again with a very reasonable bill for his professional work. I had an electrical problem that I could not figure out. Called these people early the morning before I was to arrive in Elko. To my surprise, they answered before they were scheduled to open, (I planned on leaving a message). They said no problem, just call them when I arrived, and give them my site# at the RV park. I did just that, and they said John would be over in 15-30 minutes, which he was. I explained my problem, and he checked ALL the wiring. He discovered the problem, and he repaired that within 20 minutes. He noted that there was a 1 hour minimum and asked if there was any other problems. Of course there were. He stepped right up, and fixed those too, with the time remaining. Love these guys. When I have issues on the road, I'll try and save them for John. read more

John was 120 miles away when I called about our malfunctioning furnace - with the weather down in the single digits recently, they still came out as soon as they could that evening and fixed my problem with a great smile and chat. We had a travel trailer tire blow out in Reno at noon, causing damage to our sewer drain. After replacing 4 tires, we called and made an emergency appointment for 7 am the next day and drove on to Elko for the night. We were met by Open Road at 7:00am at our campsite and he made sure the repair was done quickly. We were on the road again before 10am. I highly recommend their skilled service.
