From cul de sac communities, gated communities tucked into the hillside or home right in the heart of town. It's a pretty big city all tucked into each other. We have some friends that both have properties in a cul de sac area as well as a home tucked up in the hillsides. Completely different as one is in the city center while the other up tucked away in the mountains/hillside. There's cluster of places in simi. Strip mall that pretty much has everything. All the grocery store, specialty store, restaurant and so on. Downfall, if you're a foodie, there's not much or any decent restaurant. Just from what I've experienced, it's more of chains restaurant. I could be wrong and everyone taste is different but hasn't found anything major. We have our usual breakfast place and a pho place but that's about all. And even with the pho, it's a chain. Simi town center, I'm surprised there's something still there. It's basically empty with random stores here and there and a few eating spots. I guess if you live there, you make do with what's surrounding. But it's still a mellow city that's a nice little break from the hustle and bustle of LA. Positive notes, lots of nice hiking trails.

I believe this is due to the fact…read morethat just as every race is stereotyped for this and that, the police unfortunately had a bad egg every now and then and then led to believe that they are all the same. Also, if you believe the police department is out to get you or have bad intentions, that may be because you possibly are doing something illegal and probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. From my experience on the other hand, is that these men and women put their life on the line every single day and risk taking the chance of possibly not being able to go home to their family at the end of their shift. They have a job to do and as difficult as it may be or even if they may not completely agree with whatever the outcome may be of a situation, ultimately, they are just doing their job. They serve and protect and every single officer that I personally know or have even come into contact with has been more than helpful and have always been polite and respectful. So please, before you think or even may say anything negative about the police department or a single officer as an individual remember, they are human too, have a family and just simply doing their job as we do day in and day out. I encourage everyone that next time they see an officer to give your gratitude and thanks because the people who say bad or negative things about them are the same exact people who call them when they need help and guess what?.... they are still there and come to serve and protect. Deputies in this location are dishonest and liars. I was…read moreinvolved in an accident at which I was definitely not at fault. Three or four deputies came to the accident site and started drawing lines marking my vehicles location as well as the other drivers cars location. Then they proceed by taking pictures and interviewing witnesses. While all this was happening, a female deputies was chatting with the other party's father and I could hear them laughing. I'm not sure what kind of relationship they had but she wrote the report to their favor. When I called to see if the report was ready, I was told that I had to call back because the report was not done. I had hired an attorney and much to my surprise, we found out that The other party had the report when I called to see if the report was ready. Finally, after getting the report I was shocked to read that since there were no pictures and no witnesses, they were not able to determine who was at fault. These deputies are good in writing tickets to get promoted. They don't deserve the money that they get paid by our tax dollars.

Just prepare yourself to wait for a while as there is always a line, and everybody has tons of questions. If you can, try to use the self-kiosk if you just need to mail something or get stamps-- you will save yourself a lot of time. Remember if you are mail a package-- make sure you bring your own tape or tape it up in advance. The post office no longer provides tape. Also bring a pen with you in case you need one.

They clearly oversold the event, made promises on promotional materials that were not kept, and charged significant ticket prices (we paid $200 per ticket), but this was operated like a small local fair put on by the Rotary club. But it wasn't a local fair, it was tens of thousands of people they collected money from, and there was no event coordinator, non-existent signage, confusion and chaos, and thousands of ppl wandering around not getting what they paid a small fortune for, esp if you traveled from a long distance. Great show, not so great event.
