Just as I experienced last year, I was warmly welcomed by everyone, especially the ladies who dedicate their time to organizing and managing the gatherings. Their kindness, patience, and hospitality created an atmosphere in which visitors genuinely feel included and valued. One of the reasons I wanted to update my review is that I noticed the feedback I shared last year appears to have been taken seriously. I had expressed my hope that prayers and awareness would also be extended to Muslims suffering around the world, particularly those facing war, oppression, and humanitarian crises. This year, I was genuinely pleased to see the resident Maulana encourage the congregation to remember oppressed communities in their duas. There was also information displayed about charitable initiatives supporting those in need, reinforcing the importance of compassion beyond our own community. Whether my feedback contributed or not, I truly appreciated seeing this emphasis. Despite the large crowds on the nights of the 9th and 10th of Muharram, the organization was exceptional. The event was well managed, volunteers remained calm and respectful, and there was a clear sense of decorum throughout the mosque. The atmosphere reflected dignity, patience, and mutual respect, even with the large number of attendees. I also appreciated the diversity within the congregation. People from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds came together in the spirit of Imam Hussain (AS), creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that truly reflected the universal message of Karbala. The resident Maulana's lectures were another highlight. Each evening's topic was thoughtfully chosen and developed with clarity before being beautifully connected to the lessons of Karbala. His delivery was sincere, respectful, and intellectually engaging without ever feeling theatrical or sensationalized. He spoke with humility, kindness, and compassion, making the message accessible and meaningful. The transition into the masaib was natural and heartfelt, and his recitation of the nohas added to the spiritual atmosphere without becoming overly dramatic. The entire majlis was conducted with reverence and dignity, allowing attendees to reflect on the significance of these sacred nights. Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and community members for creating such a welcoming environment. This mosque continues to demonstrate that meaningful leadership is reflected not only through knowledgeable lectures but also through humility, inclusivity, thoughtful organization, and genuine care for the community. I look forward to returning, Insha'Allah.

Police/sheriff's have in some people's eyes, a bad reputation. I believe this is due to the fact…read morethat just as every race is stereotyped for this and that, the police unfortunately had a bad egg every now and then and then led to believe that they are all the same. Also, if you believe the police department is out to get you or have bad intentions, that may be because you possibly are doing something illegal and probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. From my experience on the other hand, is that these men and women put their life on the line every single day and risk taking the chance of possibly not being able to go home to their family at the end of their shift. They have a job to do and as difficult as it may be or even if they may not completely agree with whatever the outcome may be of a situation, ultimately, they are just doing their job. They serve and protect and every single officer that I personally know or have even come into contact with has been more than helpful and have always been polite and respectful. So please, before you think or even may say anything negative about the police department or a single officer as an individual remember, they are human too, have a family and just simply doing their job as we do day in and day out. I encourage everyone that next time they see an officer to give your gratitude and thanks because the people who say bad or negative things about them are the same exact people who call them when they need help and guess what?.... they are still there and come to serve and protect. So on my behalf, thank you to our local law enforcement and first responders for everything that you do for our community and a city as a whole. God bless

Deputies in this location are dishonest and liars. I was…read moreinvolved in an accident at which I was definitely not at fault. Three or four deputies came to the accident site and started drawing lines marking my vehicles location as well as the other drivers cars location. Then they proceed by taking pictures and interviewing witnesses. While all this was happening, a female deputies was chatting with the other party's father and I could hear them laughing. I'm not sure what kind of relationship they had but she wrote the report to their favor. When I called to see if the report was ready, I was told that I had to call back because the report was not done. I had hired an attorney and much to my surprise, we found out that The other party had the report when I called to see if the report was ready. Finally, after getting the report I was shocked to read that since there were no pictures and no witnesses, they were not able to determine who was at fault. These deputies are good in writing tickets to get promoted. They don't deserve the money that they get paid by our tax dollars.

First of all the programs provided/academic classes are very good but bad execution. What I mean by…read morethat is a good amount of teachers are NOT good. When I say not good I mean NOT good at all. Many students complain about the same teachers each year. They definitely have one of the best Visual arts program (Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Broadcasting, Dance, Photography, Filmmaking, Stage Tech. I felt welcomed in this community, all the teachers are amazing in Visual Arts. The math teachers are not good at all so be aware. Only 2 out of the 6, from the year I went, actually taught me instead just posting notes and hoping you understand or just being a terrible teacher. Mind you many students have complained NUMEROUS times for many years about the same 2 math teachers and they are still teaching at that school. The atmosphere is supposed to be welcoming and inclusive but sadly a lot of students make that impossible every year. This is not a normal highschool experience. That can be okay sometimes but in this case, the negatives out weight the positives. When you voice that you are being bullied, or other concerns that conflict with your mental health they brush it off. They do not care about mental health here AT ALL. This school is filled with outcasts who 110% struggle with mental health problems and they don't do jack about it. It is frustrating dealing with faculty and administrators because they never do anything. Not all but most. Bullying is a real thing here but everyone refuses to deny it cause its "a very welcoming community". A friend of mine once reported someone for threatening to kill them selves and they brushed it off like it was nothing, multiple times, on many different occasions. The least they can do is send them to counseling and at least try to speak to the student. Most students wont say anything but just having someone reaching out and showing that they care is a huge step. When a serious allegation is reported, the faculty doesn't even try. During my time at Santa Su, a sexual assault allegation was going around. Many students knew and so did the school but they did NOTHING. No investigating, interviewing bystanders, nothing. Much help is needed in the administration department Students start drama here way more than an average highschool. Anywhere you go there will be drama and rumors but ere it is times 2. Any rumors started, spread like wildfire and can ruin ur whole experience at Santa Su. So be aware. The yearbook seems to always get worse every year. Senior baby photos and senior quotes are something students look forward to. They promise it every year I was there, and never actually add it in the yearbook which is just very disappointing. They make up stuff you never even said. The school itself is always disorganized. Santa Su is for smart students, to be honest. They don't really have good help for people who actually need some or are just an average student looking for help. Its not inclusive as it says it is. Yes, its a magnet school but don't advertise you are all inclusive if you cant even help your students who need it. This is from average students perspective.

Teachers are butt let me call some out, Mrs French, Mr Adler (he's literally a pdf), Mrs Troy. Mr Adler once gave a kid CHOCOLATE WITH ALC IN IT. LIEK WHAT. A lot a lot of fights, probably 20-30 when I went. Once got pantsed and mr k kept being werid and asking in a very sexual way for me to demonstrate how low my pants went, yes he wanted me to pull them down... this school is trash, trash everywhere, they watch you in the bathroom they'll literally watch you through the stall to make sure your not doing drugs.
