They're not gonna bother you as far as the guy posting on her that there's gangs up in there in dead bodies, it's a bunch of crap. I ride my bike back there all the time I live right down the street from it at 5532 La Virginia Rd.. bring water with you and yes in the future you're gonna wanna keep your eyes open because now they've made it accessible for mountain lions. Otherwise it's a great hike always bring sunscreen and water with you and make sure your batteries good on your phone. You're all good to go.

Going in September during a summer drought and after recent wildfires scorched the parkland, the…read moreburned or dried vegetation created an apocalyptically ugly hike. The most exciting thing was the hairy black tarantula that crossed the path. Many dirt roads run through this nature area that mostly stretch north-south with smaller east-west connector trails. Also with multiple trailheads, I chose an 8.6-mile loop with a 1000' elevation change that started at the north end of Las Virgenes Road off the 118 in Calabasas. 0.0 miles: Park on the street and walk north past the aptly named Sulphur Spring (don't know how the nearby apartments handle the smell). Follow this dirt road and stay left. 0.8 miles: Left to go up the Las Virgenes Connector which is not a road but a wide trail. 1.3 miles: Right to Cheeseboro Ridge Trail under electrical lines because this dirt road services a series of power towers. The trail has views of the rocky Baleen Wall on the left. 3.5 miles: Reach highest point with outcropping of boulders with decent view. 4.5 miles: Right at marked sign to go down Sheep Corral Trail - a single track trail not a road. 6.3 miles: Right to the mostly flat Bell Canyon Fire Road at the valley floor with occasional tree shade and many signs warning of the underground high pressure natural gas line. We were among the very few hikers but encountered plenty of mountain bikers. I didn't see anyone with dogs but there was plenty of poop on the trail.

In the summertime, it can be super hot so it's best to get started earlier in the morning. Recently, though we had a little rain and there was a whole lot more greenery than I ever remember seeing or expected. This was my first trip out in probably over a decade, so I decided to go in from a different direction to change it up a little bit, and I started from Bell Canyon and what a different beautiful trail that was with a creek running next to it, but before you go, I didn't notice until on my return back to my truck that this particular trail is actually private to those who live in the neighborhood; the few people I passed were pleasant and never asked if I was local or anything, so I think if you park and are just respectful and keep it quiet there won't be a big deal, but this trail is taking you around the mtn, so you're gonna add mileage to get to a place that you could actually park closer. The main trails are all well kept and in good condition and it's not until you get into the lesser used further out trails that you might encounter some slight bushwhacking, but the castle peak Summit is beautiful and fun as is the cave of the munits and other holes. Parking can be a pain, but it can be found, but may require a short walk.

*******Update on this review. After contacting ADT to cancel my alarm subscription, the…read morerepresentative gave me a $250 service credit and lowered my monthly payment. The service I received from the tech. was exceptional. Unfortunately one shouldn't have to threaten to cancel in order to get good customer service.************* I have had ADT for more years than I can remember and I'm now rethinking the whole thing. I have already had numerous issues to which they blamed my monitoring service (which was given to me through ADT.). But when I was about to give them up they came and upgraded my whole system for free with and changed the monitoring service. I decided on I'll stay. They made lots of promises but sadly, they seem to have been empty promises. Now, I am having two windows replaced/installed and to put two new sensors on the windows they was to charge me a minimum of $154 just for labor. Sticking new sticky back sensors on the windows $154!!!!! The whole system was free but now that I want to change out two sensors, oh that's $154. I was told when I got the system that maintenance was covered, and when I called to arrange scheduling they didn't tell me it would cost. Only when the scheduler called did they tell me "I don't know if ADT told you but they charge for that". Well I'll just stick my old sensors back on with sticky tape for free, rethink this whole ADT thing and probably go with any other company who backs they're sales promises. I guess I wanted to believe that was ADT. I guess I should have known better based on my history with them already.

SCAM ARTISTS OF THE YEAR…read more I'm actually shocked that they've been in business this long and conduct themselves in such a way. The salesman Landon told me they have a special for $25 for the equipment, after the technician left they charged me $500 for the equipment, then an additional $300 for the keypad that was supposed to be included, didn't install the right equipment, then told me it was an additional $300 for the right equipment. So I went from $25 to $1100 for the equipment alone. I reached out to their office and spoke to Jolessa, Helen, Psy, Lee, Jackie, Alexis, Eric, Sophie, Roslyn, Jolene, and Amanda. All of which "Are so sorry" and "Wanted to help me." So far there is no resolution and if I want my equipment Landon promised me at $25 I have to pay $1100. I asked them to remove it and cancel my service and they told me, "I am responsible for the duration of the contract cause I signed off in it" before the installer left. Which is not true, I never signed anything nor did he ask me to. PLEASE STAY AWAY I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS WITH THESE PREDATORY FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! In response to the owners reply, which was almost immediate and obviously a boiler plate response. I already emailed AlwaysThere@adt.com and did not get a response. It seems they post this in an attempt to make the public think this is a resolution for a unsatisfied customer. Thus far it is not!
